Luffy Becomes King of the Pirates
Hello there, readers. I wrote this one-off a while ago but never dared to post it. This is a story of when Luffy becomes king of the pirates. I hope you enjoy it.
After years of journeying, Luffy had finally achieved his dream. After fighting stronger and stronger opponents, Luffy was finally free. Not only did Luffy help achieve his friend's dreams, but after years, they were finally entirely free to do whatever they wanted.
However, Luffy could not help but wonder one thing. What would Ace think? Luffy started walking around; he achieved his dream, but was he delighted?
He decided to travel to one last stop before returning to his new base as king of the pirates. His crew set sail to the one place Luffy had not been to in two years. Marineford.
The one Marine headquarters stood in ruins as the reminder of the fall of the corrupt world government to the hands of Luffy. The crew spoke no words as they stood in silence. Everyone walked down to the center of the Marineford, the place where Ace died.
As they stood silently to pay their respects, the crew slowly retreated to the ship. First Ussop, then Franky, slowly followed by Robin, and then there was poor Chopper, who could be seen shedding silent tears at the sight of the down energy captain.
Brook then followed, but not before playing a calm and respectful song to the two heroes of Captain Luffy. Next was Sanji, who knew there would need to be a feast prepared for their young captain to cheer up his mood.
Next was Nami, who left, giving her Captain, the person she fell in love with, not that she would ever tell him that—a hug.
Finally, Zorro, who finally broke the silence to his Captain, said, "You know he would be proud of you."
"I know," Luffy said. With that, Zorro left knowing and trusting his captain fully that he would be fine.
It was finally Luffy alone there; it felt like ages when Luffy truly felt alone. "I made it, Ace, I made it. I am finally Pirate King."
Tears were rushing out of Luffy's face as he told his late brother all the adventures that he had been through. How he became Joy Boy, and how the world is now peaceful. As he walked away, he asked his brother one last question, "Are you happy, and are you proud of me?"
Out of the blue, Luffy felt the warmth of a hug, and he turned around to see an almost transparent image of his brother. "Ac…" However, the tears in Luffy's voice did not let him finish.
As Ace's image said, "Love you, Luffy, I am proud of you, and keep on smiling for me. That makes me truly happy."
With that, Ace disappeared, leaving Luffy filled with tears of joy. He walked out of the place feeling peace. As the ship was going, he felt resolved and happy. With one quick stretch, he grabbed his crew in a big group hug. He did not know what adventure he would embark on next or where life would take him, but it did not matter. He was truly free.
Someone was smiling somewheree up in the skg, "I am happy, Luffy. You truly made your older brother proud. As he flashed towards his brother's direction, always making sure to protect him from up above.
A/N: There you have it, a small one-shot of Luffy seeing his brother's grave after he became Pirate King. Let me know what you think. Anyways, everyone, have a blessed day.
