Dear Readers,
Welcome to Master Arturia! This may become the story that replaces Master Arturia, which starts with Arturia as a Master at Chaldea. The reason this story popped up due to a friendly conversation I was following a fellow Fate fan. So I hope you enjoy it!
ShirouKuroEmiya
Chapter One
"I'm going to kill you, Merlin!" I screamed I sat up.
My hand raced towards my chest. It hurt, but it wasn't the kind of pain associated with a wound. I would describe the pain similar to completing a good workout. I winced as my finger brushed against the wound and resisted the urge to poke around. The last thing I wanted to do was have my finger fused with my chest.
I looked down at my chest to see the rapidly healing wound. Thankfully I had Avalon. Otherwise, a stab to the heart from a cursed spear like Gae Bolg would have killed me.
I really wished I had been a Servant or using my original body then I could have avoided being stabbed in the heart. Cu Cuhulainn would otherwise not been able to defeat me so easily!
My mind snapped back to reality when I had detected a familiar aura only a Servant should normally be able to detect. If Shirou's memories were anything to go by, it should be EMIYA chasing after Cu Cuhulainn at Rin's order. I needed to get away ASAP. Otherwise Rin and EMIYA was likely going to discovery the identity of the "innocent witness" that they were looking for.
I grabbed my shinai that had fallen on the ground and ran.
- O -
Nothing unusual happened during the journey back home. The only unusual thing was how quiet and deserted the streets had been. Normally there would have been more people, but due to the recent "gas leaks" and increased level of "crimes" the residents of Fuyuki had heeded the authorities' warnings to stay home during the evening.
I cursed how I had only gotten back all my memories this morning. If it had happened earlier I could have avoided accidently stumbling Cu Cuhulainn and EMIYA fighting each other, fighting Cu Cuhulainn in my current weak body and being stabbed in the heart.
The wooden doors that made up the front entrance to my home slammed opened as I rushed to my Workshop.
If things continued to happen as it had done so for Shirou then Cu Cuhulainn should be arriving to my home soon. Before that happened, I needed to summon my own Servant.
I quickly found the magic circle that had been used in the Fourth Holy Grail War to sustain Irisviel's life, or in another timeline the magic circle that Shirou had used to summon me as a Servant.
It didn't take me too long to get all the materials and organise everything for summoning a Servant. I had some conflicting feelings that I, who was once a Servant was going to summon one to save myself. I shook my head and banished those distracting thoughts to begin the summoning ritual.
As I started to chant, I poured magical energy created from my Od and the Mana in the air into the magic circle. The magic circle started to glow and I saw red light formed as it should.
My mouth moved as I recited the words written in the magic tome in my words and my Magic Circuits worked following the Servant Summoning Ritual. Everything was going smoothly until alarms started to ring in my mind.
The Bounded Fields need to hold, I prayed as the magical barriers protecting my home started to groan under the strain of an assault.
I awaited in anticipation as the magic circle started to turn white and I wondered who would be summoned. The last line of the incantation when I was thrown into the air.
As I sailed through the air, I cursed my luck. Cu Cuhulainn just had to break the final Bounded Field that was protecting my Workshop just as I was about to finish the Servant Summoning ritual.
I managed to move my body in the air so I landed softly on my back. The white light started to fade and I felt my heart lurch. I stared to see if a Servant would be summoned or nothing came out. If a Servant didn't come out the chances of me surviving another encounter Cu Cuhulainn was slim as I was nowhere powerful as my Saber-class Servant self or my original body of King Arthur.
The white light started to dim and my smile grew as I spotted a human figure. More of the human figure appeared for my eyes to see and when I could make out the Servant that had been summoned, my eyes widened.
"I ask you, are you my master?"
I stared in disbelief. "Don't grin at me like that, Shirou!" I screamed while I grabbing a nearby magical tome and throwing at the grinning Servant. "Why are you here anyway? You're not a Heroic-" My mouth closed as I stared in horror at Shirou. "You didn't… You became a Heroic Spirit!" Shirou grin grew. Tear started to form in my eyes as I cried, "That means you have died!"
"Not yet, my circumstances are similar to yours when I summoned you," Shirou replied as he walked over and lifted me off the ground.
"You mean you made a contract with Alaya?! How could you do such a th-"
"So this is the Servant you summoned, lass," called out Cu Chulainn as he entered my Workshop. "My master had been hoping that I eliminate you before you summoned a Servant," Cu Chulainn's lips curled up, "but that is fine with me! I always up for fight."
"Let me handle this first," said Shirou as he turned away from me. "Get somewhere safe."
I snorted and wanted to refute Shirou. The last thing I wanted to hear from him were those words. He had acted against my best advise when I had been his Servant. To say that I should get to safety was hypocritical of him.
My rebuttal never left my mouth as I saw his clothes change. His attire changed into something that was eerily similar to mine when I had been King Arthur or a Servant. I wanted to ask his choice of attire until I saw a weapon form in his hands.
Impossible! How could he have that sword in his hand?! I rubbed my eyes and the result didn't change.
Somehow, against everything I knew, Shirou had a weapon that was marked the beginning of the legend of King Arthur. A symbol of my raise as King and the marked the decline of my realm, leading to the destruction of my kingdom due to a civil war.
The thought of impossibility didn't last too long in my mind as I recalled several things. Shirou seemed very familiar with me, and he had the loving eyes of the man I had fallen in love with. He was definitely the man that had summoned me. The man that had Projected a copy of Caliburn during my stint as a Servant.
I frowned while looking at Caliburn in Shirou's hands. It wasn't apparent at first, but Caliburn wasn't exactly the same as I remembered it. There were minor changes, but overall the same. What caught my attention the most was how it was not a Projection like the one we had Projected against Ea. It was the real thing, which should be impossible!
Caliburn had been broken and never remade!
My eyes were drawn away from Caliburn as Shirou and Cu Cuhulainn ran at each other. I couldn't help but frown as Shirou attacked and defended. His way of fighting was eerily similar to my own. There were of course some changes thanks to how Shirou was much taller than me, giving him a long arms' reach.
I couldn't help but summon the unique ability that Masters possessed to assess Shirou.
Servant-Class: Saber / (Caster?) / (Berserker?)
Strength: D / E / A-
Endurance: C / D / B+
Agility: C / D / B
Mana: C / A+ / C
Am I seeing things? I blinked and looked at Shirou again with my ability as a Master.
Any thoughts of self-doubt didn't last too long as Shirou started to suffer wounds despite using my fighting style, he didn't possess my level of skill or Servant Stats to make him on the same level as my Saber self.
I felt magical energy from my Magic Circuits flow into him, but this magical energy wasn't being used to fuel Shirou's existence or power his soul to fight Cu Cuhulainn. It was something else. The answer to what the magical energy was being used became evident as the wounds that Cu Cuhulainn inflicting on Shirou started to disappear. Avalon was at work, but it was nowhere near the miraculous healing speed that Avalon would have had on me.
Cu Cuulainn didn't really seem to pay any attention to how Shirou's wounds healed. It only seemed to further invigorate him. If my own experience fighting Cu Cuhulainn was anything, Shirou's wounds healing meant that the fight would last longer and be more challenging, exciting Cu Cuhulainn's thirst for battle.
The fight paused for a moment as Cu Cuhulainn stopped moving and he started to frown as Shirou watched his opponent warily.
"I would love to keep fighting, but…" Cu Cuhulainn sighed. "My Master wants me to either retreat or end this right now."
A familiar stance and crimson mist of magical energy bleeding of Cu Cuhulain's spear screamed what would happen next.
"Sh-!" I stopped myself form blurting his True Name.
"I got it, Master!" Shirou shouted back, interrupting me.
Shirou took his left hand off Caliburn. Another familiar weapon of mine appeared in Shirou's free left hand. My eyes in shock as I stared at the dagger, Carnwennan. My staring didn't last long as Shirou disappeared. Well, his disappearance didn't last too long. As his Master, I could feel the flow of magical energy from my Magic Circuits that went towards Shirou.
"Gae- Ha!" shouted Cucuhulainn in confusion as he prepared to unleash his Noble Phantasm, only for his target to disappear. The Lancer-class Servant swung Gae Bolg behind him and there was a clang of metal clashing. "You might be invisible, but you cannot hide your killing intent!" He glanced around and seemed ready to engage his invisible enemy when he started to frown. "You better not die before we get to fight again, Saber! I gotta go cause my shitty master is calling me!"
I watched as Lancer disappear, likely his Spirit form. There was total silence for a while before Shirou appeared in my sight once more.
"He's gone," said Shirou as he walked over to me. "Sorry," he scratched his head while looking at me with a straight expression, "but I'm going to need a mana transfer if we want to fight another Servant."
My face red when Shirou mentioned mana transfer. It made me subconsciously recall the memorable and pleasurable experience that shouldn't have happened during my time as Shirou's Servant.
"We don't need to do that!" I stammered while looking away from Shirou. "I can establish a proper Master and Servant channel."
"Something that is likely going to take longer than a mana transfer." He responded with a growing grin. "Besides, I think both of us want it."
"No, I don't!" I screamed while refusing to meet his mischievous eyes.
"I didn't expect to see this," chuckled Shirou. "You are more expressive of your emotions than before. Your knights and subjects would be shocked to see you right now."
"It's because of stupid Merlin's fault!" I growled while looking to Shirou as he was no longer looking at me in teasing manner. "I might as well have been reincarnated after Merlin turned me into a baby and threw me into the 21st century. I spent seventeen years growing up as a regular girl until awakening my memories just this morning. Seventeen years of living as a regular girl that is influencing my mind."
Shirou walked up to me and whispered into my ears. "Well, I like this side of you more, Arturia. And seriously, I really need a mana transfer for the next fight. If things continue as it had done for me as your Master, Rin and EMIYA should be one their way here as we speak. I need all the magical energy I can get if a fight was to make out."
"Rin wo-" I tried replying but I yelped as I felt something slip under my clothes and reach under my bra and panties. "They could-!" I moaned as he started to touch me.
"I need the mana transfer right now," he whispered into my ear, "and I know you want it."
The only thing I could do was moan as Shirou silenced any protest with his hands and I was helplessly dragged into a bed as the mana transfer was carried out.
- O -
"Arturia, are you home?" I heard Rin's voice call out from the front door.
I yearned and limped over to the front door to open it.
"Hello, Rin." I greeted Rin, who I had become childhood friends in this timeline that had been altered thanks to Merlin's interference, in a tired but cheery tone. "Please come in and make yourself at home."
"Aren't you happier than usu-" Rin's mouth closed and her eyes glowed mischievously while looking down and up at me. "Do something happen?" She started to sniff me and continued in a chirpy tone. "You got laid, didn't you? Who was it? The boy that popped your cherry?"
Shirou choked and thankfully he was in Spirit form or else Rin would have detected his presence and heard him.
"Rin, now isn't the time to be gossiping!" I protested. I looked her seriously and asked, "Is your offer of an alliance still open?"
Her mischievous eyes disappeared. "You summoned a Servant?" She replied seriously.
"That's right." I nodded. "I summoned Saber. What about you?"
"Damn," Rin cursed as she huffled her hair. "I had triple-checked that I had all the right ingredients and followed the Servant Summoning ritual to the dot, but I somehow screwed up and summoned Archer!" Her eyes lit up as she looked to me. "How about it? Do you want to trade Servants?"
I heard Shirou mentally protest, and I could imagine EMIYA doing the same thing, if the Counter Guardian wasn't already shocked by my appearance or that I was Rin's friend.
"NO!" I screamed immediately, as there was no way that I was going to trade away my Servant, and most importantly my lover. "Never happening! Not even if you promised me your family inheritance."
"Oh, what a shame." replied Rin glumly. "Well then I will have to take up your offer of an alliance." She looked to her side, most likely to the invisible EMIYA in Spirit form. "Arturia is trustworthy and would likely give up any chances of using the Holy Grail."
What does Rin mean by that? Shirou asked me telepathically.
The Holy Grail is this timeline is likely to be corrupted as the timeline where you were a Master, Shirou. So I promised Rin if we were to be allies in the Fifth Holy Grail War that I would give up the position of victor. I replied.
Didn't you say that you just awakened your memories as Arturia Pendragon this morning?
I shrugged. I get all my memories back this morning, but I get bits and pieces over the years. I never really believed it all as they appeared as dreams, but 'the dreams' were too realistic and didn't fade away from my memories like regular dreams. So I gradually started to believe I was remembering 'my past life' as King Arthur or my time as Servant.
"Is your Servant also disagreeing with our alliance?" Rin asked in a slightly annoyed tone, snapping my attention back to her.
"No, Sab-"
"I am the bone of my sword
Steel is my body and fire is my blood
I have created over a thousand blades.
Unaware of loss nor aware of gain
Withstand pain to create many weapons alongside my partner-"
My hairs stood up in horror. I felt as if something profound was about to happen. I didn't know what it was but something told me that I didn't to act right now. My instincts guided me and I closed the flow of my magical energy to Shirou. It seemed to have an immediate effect as Shirou stopped chanting and he started to gasp as if trying to breath after nearly drowning.
I sighed as my instincts calmed down and I was about to ask Shirou what had happened when memories that were not my own flooded my mind. They belonged to Shirou, but there were not something that should belong to him as he didn't loved Rin… But me…
"Arturia, Arturia!" I heard Rin's voice scream but I felt really light-headed and the room around me started to spin.
The last thing I felt was hitting the ground.
- O -
"SHIROU, stay with me!" I screamed as my eyes opened and my torso shot up.
"Arturia, everything is okay," said Shirou as he hugged me. "There is nothing to wor-"
"How can you say that?! You cheated on me. You fell in love with RIN!" I screamed in distress as Shirou's memories played fresh in my mind.
"I don't kn-"
"I saw it from your perspective. The tantric ritual to transfer mana and part of the Tohsaka Magic Crest so that you could use Unlimited-"
"That wasn't me." Shirou said loudly and firmly while placing his index finger on my lip. "I don't know how but you seem to have seen the memories of another me."
"Another me?" I repeated incredulously as Shirou took his index finger away from my lips. "You are talking about a possible Shirou Emiya that fell in love with Rin Tohsaka if the Holy Grail War played out differently?"
"That's right." He nodded seriously.
"How are I supposed to believe-"
"Senpai! I heard from Tohsaka-san that you're fainted-" A familiar voice called out from a distance, likely from the main hallway running straight through the majority of my home.
I screamed as I clutched my head. Memories flowed into my mind AGAIN. Except this time, they didn't seem to belong to my Shirou or the one that had fallen in love with Rin. These memories were of someone that had given up their ideals as a hero of justice to save the one they loved. One that while his mind broke, summoned my holy… And the thing that pissed me off the most was he had sex not due to circumstance such as his Servant being low on magical energy or he needed magical energy to fuel his Reality Marble.
"Senpai!? Why are you glaring like that at me? It's like you want to kill me…"
I slapped my cheeks and quickly turned away from the terrified Sakura Matou. Sakura was a beautiful woman with a kind personality that made her charming in a certain way… No, got to stop thinking about Sakura. She wasn't the one I should be angry at!
"Arturia?" Shirou said in alarmed tone.
"Shirou Emiya, how dare you fall in love with different girls so easily?!" I roared as I grabbed the collar of Shirou's shirt and started to shake his body.
That night marked the beginning of Shirou's new nickname, "harem protagonist," that Rin, Sakura and I started to call him by.
If you guys didn't didn't notice several things happened. One, Arturia basically took over Shirou's place due to Merlin's shinnegans. Two, the summoned Shirou has the memories (and abilities?) of the Fate, Unlimited Blade Works and Heaven Feel's routes with their respective heroine romance options.
What do you guys think about what you read? Is it good, bad or meh? Any recommendations to improve? Please let me know.
