Alright Busy Bees, here we go! Uhhh…. I feel like I should add in a warning because things may get a little…. Dark. Anyway this chapter has a lot going on, so there's gonna be quite a few P.O.V shifts! Hopefully they're not too annoying.

Ahem.

Warning: shit is about to go down. The levels of shit to be going down are unprecedented. This chapter features violence and blood, both of which may be disturbing to some viewers. Reader's discretion is advised. Enjoy!

Katsuki was furious. Not only was he stuck with the icyhot bastard avoiding villains instead of killing them, but the sound of Nana's blood curdling scream had set him on edge. Due to all the trees the sound has distorted and he couldn't find where it came from. He had changed paths and was running where he thought her voice was the loudest. Annoyingly enough, Todoroki was still following him.

"Do you think that was Nanami?" Todoroki asked as he ran behind him.

"Of course it was! Dammit...She must've gotten hurt to scream like that!"

Shift P.O.V

Nanami winced as she backed up, dropping into a fighting stance. Toga's cheeks were pink, and her smile creeped Nanami out as she stalked closer with her knife. Her ankle was sore, she wasn't sure if she could fight in this condition. I wish Yaomomo left me a weapon instead of the gas masks… she looked around, wondering why the gas seemed to have thinned out. Was it someone's quirk? She shook her head. Now wasn't the time to speculate.

"Nanami-chan, this will only hurt a little bit, ok? I just need a few cups!" Toga cooed as she lunged forward. The psychotic blonde slashed at her, her movements seemingly erratic yet it was clear that each slash was made with purpose.

Nanami cursed under her breath and jumped backwards, wincing audibly as her ankle throbbed. She yelped as the blade slashed at her shoulder. Blood ran down her arm, and she was left with a rather deep gash. She bit back tears as she tried to think of what to do. She looked back at Mashiro, who was calmly smoking through her pipe some feet away. What was she meant to do? Her fighting style was dependent on her agility and flexibility!

What would Kendo-chan do? What would Katsuki do?! She thought as she watched Toga bring out this odd machine with a needle on the end. The freckled girl took a deep breath in. Katsuki would be brave. She bounced on her heels as Toga brought the contraption forward, aiming for the gash in her arm. And he'd fight back! Steeling herself, Nanami twisted to the side, causing the crazed blonde to stumble forward. Nanami quickly grabbed her by the shoulders and slammed her knee into Toga's gut. The villain coughed out saliva as she dropped down and held her stomach.

Mashiro's eyes widened. "Himiko!" She cried out. She glared at her. "Lucky, you ingrate!" She held her pipe and raised it. "Why won't you just die and give me back my life?!"

Nanami turned to face her grandmother and shrieked as the pipe slammed down on her shoulder. Her eyes widened as she dropped onto her knees. The pipe wasn't made of wood at all. It was heavy! Steel maybe? Whatever it was, it hurt. Before she could compose herself, Mashiro struck the back of her neck. Nanami's whole body felt numb as she fell onto her stomach. Her body tingled. Spinal damage? Is that possible? She thought frantically.

Before Nanami could make sense of what just happened, Mashido moved behind her and aggressively stomped her foot on her granddaughter's ankle. Nanami cried out in pain as she was grabbed by the back of her neck and slammed down onto the ground, before feeling her grandmother's knee press down on her back.

"Get off me!" Nanami demanded.

Himiko coughed a little as she sat up, before crawling over to the captured girl. "W-wow you're pretty strong, Nanami-chan." She grabbed her needle and smiled. Nanami grunted as Mashiro shoved her face in the dirt. She struggled and turned her head to glare at her opponent. "Hey that reminds me, Bakugo is your boyfriend right? I saw that post of you together on the train! You're just like me! I have someone I love, too! I bet you want to be just like him!" She grinned and stuck her needle into Nanami's wound, sucking the blood from it. "And I see Mashiro-san here like my grandmother too! So it's like we're sisters! I've always wanted a little sister!" She leaned down and smiled as she looked Nanami in the eyes. "You can call me "Himiko-oneechan"! Ok?" Chills ran down Nanami's spine as the older girl blushed and squealed with delight. "That's it! You're my little sister now! Maybe I can ask Tomura-kun to spare you and take you with us! Your quirk seems pretty useful!"

"You're not my sister! Like hell I'd join you!"

"When did you get so vulgar, Lucky?" Mashiro asked with disgust. She put more pressure on her granddaughter's sprained ankle. "Must be that hotheaded boyfriend of yours. You should've chosen a nicer boy. Like the "Izukun" my Sakura often spoke about. Oh wait… he's on the kill list too. Maybe you'll be together in the afterlife." She chuckled. A stray hair fell from her bun as she smiled in delight at Nanami's horror. "I'm sorry Himiko, but it's better we don't disobey Shigaraki-kun." She tilted her head. "Oh right! Before we kill you, dear, will you tell me where Bakugo-kun is? The League of Villains wants to see him."

Nanami's eyes widened. "For what?!" Smoke erupted from Nanami's body. Her misfortune was coming out in amounts she had never conjured before. "Don't you touch him!" She struggled and twisted, doing her best to knock Mashiro off. Forcing herself up, she knocked Mashiro onto her backside, and she threw her leg back, effectively donkey-kicking her grandmother in the face. Scrambling forward, Nanami pulled Toga's device from her arm. I'll make a smokescreen! I'll conjure up so much misfortune that there's no way they'll succeed! She activated her quirk, and her smoke filled the air.

She tensed and jumped to the side, ignoring the stinging pain in her leg as Toga attempted to slash at her. "Don't be like that, Nanami-chan!" She laughed.

Nanami growled and clenched her first. "Don't call me by my first name! We are not friends!" She slammed her fist into her cheek. Toga stumbled backwards, surprised by the impact. Nanami cried out as she forced out more of her misfortune. "If you hurt my friends I'll smother you with my misfortune!" Soon the smoke was too thick to see through, and Nanami took the opportunity to run into the forest.

Shift P.O.V

Mashiro hissed as blood dripped from her nose. "That little delinquent… She's nothing like my Sakura." She waved the misfortune smoke away from her face with a paper fan, agitated at her now busted lip. "Himiko, are you alright my dear?" She asked tenderly as she looked towards her young comrade. She looked around, and felt her foot hit something. Bending down, she picked up Himiko's blood sucking device.

"I'm ok… your granddaughter is so tough! She's so cool!" She laughed. "How much did I manage to get?"

Mashiro chuckled at the girl's positivity. She looked at the device and pulled out the canister to inspect the amount of blood. "Hmm… These markings are so small my old eyes can't seem to read it… however it does seem like quite a bit." She handed the machine to her. "We should split up for now, dear. I'll meet you at the checkpoint. Try to get some more blood, from at least two more, okay?" She patted her head.

"Yeah totally! I hope I can make some friends while I'm at it! Be careful, okay Granny? These hero students are tough! Nanami-chan didn't even notice, but Mustard-kun's gas disappeared! That means he got taken out!"

Mashiro tsked, putting her hand to her cheek. "What a disappointment that boy turned out to be. I'm sure you'll do a much better job than him. I'll be careful, so you do the same." She bowed her head, and smiled when Himiko politely did the same before running off and waving. With a sigh, the old woman fanned herself. "My, it's so warm… Dabi-kun isn't holding back on these children." She chuckled as she took a deep inhale from her pipe. Purple smoke spilled from her mouth as she spoke. "I suppose I should take this more seriously as well. That child is as good as dead anyway."

Nanami panted as she leaned against a tree. All the adrenaline had left her. Between her ankle, her nose and the big ass gash in her shoulder, the girl was in too much pain to move. Her body was tingling from the blow to her neck. Her head was swimming, she couldn't tell if it was from the blow or from blood loss. She wanted to sleep just for a little bit, but knowing that her grandmother was out and about, she feared what she might see. She shook her head and took a shaky step forward.

She got a message from Mandalay in her head. But she couldn't quite understand and it gave her a headache. She vaguely heard "Kacchan" repeated a few times.

Her arm was still bleeding, she didn't have anything to stop it. Why is it bleeding so much? just how deep is it? She thought. Her vision was blurring. She slumped against a tree. God, am I about to die? Her parents would be heartbroken. Mom wouldn't forgive herself. Dad would bring fresh flowers to my grave. Mion would… She trailed off in her thoughts. "Mion…" She muttered. Her older brother had been away for the last two years. He was scheduled to visit in a month or two. What would he think? I remember the USJ incident. I had to spend hours convincing him not to come back to Japan and risk losing his scholarship... She smiled a little at the memory. Her whole family was going to be so broken over this. Her eyes drooped a little. "Why am I thinking about them right now…? Not the time… gotta find Katsuki…" her fingers twitched in an attempt to get her body moving.

She wasn't going to sleep. She was just going to rest for a little, and then she was going to go find Katsuki. She closed her eyes in time to see familiar red hair, and hear the ripping of fabric.

Izuku was running on fumes. He couldn't find Kacchan. He had met up with Uraraka and Asui, who had both encountered a deranged woman. He later found Tokoyami and Shoji, though dealing with Dark Shadow proved to be difficult. Luckily they had met with Todoroki, who unfortunately seemed to have separated from the blonde in question. Apparently Nanami was in danger, and he eventually demanded they split up to find her faster before shooting off. It sounded like something Kacchan would do.

"Dammit… Mandalay even told him not to wander off alone, and he does this?" He was so frustrated. "I get he's worried about Nanami, but when he's the target you'd think he'd use some common sense!"

Uraraka tried her best to calm the frantic green haired boy. "Try to think about it from Bakugo-kun's perspective! Out of all of us, Nanami-chan's at the biggest disadvantage with her quirk. Her bad luck might make her run into someone she can't handle yet!" She pursed her lips after she said this. "Now I'm kind of worried about her…" She muttered.

Todoroki looked ahead, focusing on the path ahead. "Knowing Bakugo, he won't hesitate to fight any villains he finds. If he does, his explosions might attract more attention. We need to find him before they do."

"Oh my, by chance have you misplaced your friend?" The teens stopped in their tracks and turned around. There they saw a man in a yellow jacket, with an odd mask and tophat. He was perched on a tree, casually tossing and catching two marbles in his hand. "Oh maybe I should make that plural. Friends?"

Shoji looked behind them. "Tokoyami is missing!"

"That was a bit of improv on my part. We were only going for Bakugo, but after seeing how violently and effectively Tokoyami defeated our Moonfish, I decided he'd make an excellent addition to our cause."

Izuku watched as the masked man put the marbles into his pocket and jumped away, using the trees as leverage to dodge Todoroki's ice attack. There was no hesitation. The group gave chase. "Give them back to us!!" He demanded furiously. His mind was racing a mile a minute. He looked at Uraraka, before it all came to him. "Uraraka-san, you need to make us float! Asui-san, if you can, please throw us with your tongue! Measure the distance with your eyes then release us on top of him!"

"Wait what?! You're still going to fight with those injuries?!" She exclaimed.

Izuku looked forward impatiently. "We can get them back!"

Mashiro let out a puff of smoke as she joined Dabi and Twice at the appointed meet up spot. The flame user turned to look at her, cocking his head to the side. "Hey, old woman, did you do what you were supposed to?" He asked with disinterest.

Mashiro chuckled and put her pipe away into her sleeve. "I believe I told you to address me as "grandmother" or by my name." She scolded lightly. Regardless, the woman smiled. "Yes. I used finer leaves to smoke this time, so I assure you the children hit with my quirk will have no mental strength to fight back." Her eyes glazed over as she smiled. "And I believe Himiko and I can count for at least one casualty."

"Whoa, you really killed one of 'em?! You're hardcore Granny! You're such a softie!" Twice exclaimed. Mashiro still found herself getting used to the man's constantly changing tone, but she liked him well enough. She looked Dabi over and frowned. "Now, Dabi-kun," She began in a scolding tone. The older woman walked over to the patched skinned man and flicked her hand through his hair. She was pleased when ashes and soot fell from it. "You look a mess. Try not to get ash in your hair, let alone your lungs. It's bad for your health."

Dabi smacked her hand away, his expression unchanging. "Well if it isn't the pot calling the kettle black." He scoffed. He looked towards the forest, where Himiko ran towards them. "Hey, Crazy. Did you get the blood? How many people?"

Himiko bounced excitedly. "Two people!" She declared cheerfully.

"Only two?! Weren't you supposed to get three at least?!" Twice asked incredulously.

Himiko shrugged. "That's just how it went down. I thought I was gonna die!"

Mashiro shook her head and sighed. "Well, two is better than zero, Twice-san." She folded her arms and looked down at the energetic blonde. "Himiko, dear… will you do me a favor?"

"Hmm? Sure Granny, what's up?" She asked somewhat politely.

Mashiro put her hand on the teen's back, before looking over to Twice. "Twice-san, you as well. Please come with me." She asked as she led Himiko into the trees.

"No way. Coming Granny!" Twice chimed as he followed after the two.

Dabi raised an eyebrow in their direction, before turning to watch the forest fire spread. He looked at the sky. Was someone screamin-

CRASH!!!

Mr. Compress dropped from the sky with three students on top of him. A large crater formed under them upon impact.

"Hey, I know these kids! Who are they?!"

Dabi sucked his teeth before lifting an arm. "Out of the way, Compress," was his simple command before his arm ignited in blue flames. Compress didn't need to be told twice as his body shrank into a small marble just before the flames reached them. The familiar scent of burning flesh filled the air.

Nanami groaned as she opened her eyes. "Fuzzy…" She murmured as her vision failed to clear. Her nose was tickled by strands of red hair. "Kirishima-kun…?"

"I feel like I should be offended that you think my back is similar to a guy that buff, Yoshino-chan." A female voice scolded.

Nanami blinked her eyes a few times, urging her vision to clear. "Kendo-chan…" She was on the class 1-B student's back. She had passed out. Lifting her head she looked down at her carrier and was horrified at the amount of blood that stained her clothes. "You're injured!"

"That's not my blood… have you seen yourself? Wait no, more importantly, how are you conscious right now? You look like you've lost a lot of blood!" Nanami rested her head on the taller girl's shoulder. She didn't have the energy for this. Kendo looked forward and took a hard left. "Tetsutetsu is on his way to Vlad-sensei and Aizawa-sensei. Once we get back, we should be able to get you some proper first aid!"

Nanami felt a brief sense of relief before it was replaced by a rush of adrenaline. "No wait, what about Katsuki? I have to find him before anything else!" She exclaimed desperately.

Kendo stopped to examine her surroundings before glancing back at her friend in disbelief. "What? Yoshino-chan, have you seen yourself? Even if you found Bakugo you wouldn't be of any help to him whatsoever in your condition!" She scolded sternly. "Before we find Bakugo, we have to get you to the camp. That's where we're going and I won't make any exceptions." She stopped in her tracks as purple smoke wafted past her face. "That's your quirk right…?"

Nanami mumbled, her eyebrows knitting together in pain. "It burns… I can't stop it…"

Kendo bit her lip. She was unsure what she should do. Her friend's quirk could act as a smokescreen to be confused with the toxic gas she dealt with earlier, but at the same time it could cause them more danger and result in them meeting something or someone unsavory. The redhead nervously bounced on her heels. She glanced over her shoulder to see Nanami's pained expression. Gritting her teeth, she continued to run forward. "We'll get you to Aizawa-sensei! He'll help you, so hang in there!"

Katsuki gasped as he was suddenly brought back in the midst of chaos? Where was he? He remembered being trapped in a pit of just…. Darkness. He looked around and tensed. Now wasn't the time for this. His classmate, Shoji, had a grip on his arm. They had "saved" him. Not that he needed it.

"I thought you had him, Compress!" Dabi exclaimed angrily.

"Well my apologies but it can be tricky holding onto marbles that small when you're falling from the sky, Dabi!" Compress exclaimed, frazzled by his amateur mistake.

Deku turned around. "We got him, we need to go now! Come on, Kacchan, you need to stay in front of us!"

Katsuki scowled, not fond of being ordered around by his childhood friend. "Don't tell me what to do, Nerd!" He barked. Just as the small group had begun their escape, he heard it.

"Katsuki wait, please…!"

The group stopped and turned at the familiar voice. His eyes widened at the sight of a frightened and battered Nana, being held by none other than her grandmother, Mashiro. The older woman held a blade to her granddaughter's neck as she walked out of the forest with her. The few who recognized the woman stared in disbelief. What was she doing here? Why is she with the League of Villain?

"I see I have your attention… Now then, Bakugo-kun, I believe you and my dear Granddaughter are together, are you not?" She asked calmly.

It made him feel sick, how casual her tone was, as if they were chatting over a cup of tea. Katsuki's arms tensed, causing his hands to pop threateningly with small explosions. Deku's battered body illuminated as his quirk activated. His classmates were ready to fight. Nana's voice hitched as her grandmother pressed the blade against her throat in warning. The group froze. It was clear who had control of the situation.

"Such smart children…" Mashiro hummed. She tapped the blade against Nana's neck rhythmically. "If you haven't noticed yet… I don't care for my granddaughter in the slightest. But clearly you all do, for some reason. So… unless you want me to slash her neck in front of you," A sadistic grin crossed the old woman's face. "You'll come with us, Bakugo-kun. Do that, and I'll let her go."

Katsuki's eyes widened further and grit his teeth. "Are you fucking crazy?! She's your granddaughter!!" He shouted. Mashiro tilted her head, loosely shrugging her shoulders.

"Calm down, she's bluffing… she has to be." Todoroki muttered. That being said he wasn't so sure himself. Nanami had told him stories of her grandmother's hatred for her.

"Don't tell me to calm down!" He growled at the dual toned boy. He looked at his girlfriend. She was in bad shape, but nothing looked broken thankfully. If I can get close, I can snatch her, use my explosion and we can make a run for it… He thought confidently.

Suddenly, a familiar black vortex began to open behind the villains. "Ah, it seems we're out of time…" Mashiro hummed. "Come Lucky, we'll just take you instead… I'm sure Shigaraki-kun would love to finish you off." The league slowly began to file into the portal. Only Dabi, Mashiro and Nana remained.

"Let Nanami go right now!" Deku shouted, taking a step forward to rush the elder.

Katsuki stepped ahead of the formerly quirkless boy. "Hey, Old Hag." Mashiro's eye twitched at the boy's crass title for her. "If I go with you, you'll let Nana go right?" He questioned suspiciously.

Mashiro's eyes creased in delight. "Of course, dear. I'm a woman of my word." She waved her knife somewhat playfully. "However, I'm not giving her back until you're in that portal. I'm no fool."

Katsuki muttered a few profanities as he began to walk towards the woman. His classmates' cries of disapproval and desperation on deaf ears. He kept his eyes on Nana, who met his gaze with tears in her eyes. Just as he was at the villain's side, he twisted and brought his arm forward, explosion ready to blast the vile woman. Mashiro stepped back as she shoved Nana face first into the large blast in her place. There was a stunned silence. Katsuki's eyes widened in horror. What had she done?! What had he done?!

"Nanami!!!" He exclaimed

Mashiro shook her head. "Tsk tsk… and here I thought it would go smoothly…" she sighed.

The group watched in confusion and horror as Nanami… melted? The charred girl slowly began to collapse in a vile puddle of gray goop. A sense of dread filled the air.

"A fake?" Shoji asked in disbelief.

Izuku's eyes widened. "No, Kacchan, get out of there!!"

Katsuki quickly snapped back to his senses and made a hasty move to retreat, when he suddenly felt a very watm, no, hot hand wrap around the back of his throat.

"Seems you forgot I was here…" Dabi chuckled. He looked to the side, at Mashiro. "Not bad, granny. We got what we needed. Let's go."

Mashiro hummed, turning to the group of teens and politely bowing before stepping into the portal. Dabi grinned as the portal expanded, sucking him and Katsuki further in.

"LET HIM GO!! KACCHAN!!!" Deku shouted as he ran forward to save his friend.

Katsuki clenched his fists. "Stay back, Deku."

And he was gone.

They had failed.

You guys have… NO idea!!! How bad my writer's block was!!! I have been working on this chapter forever, stuck at how I could make this HURT! And I think I succeeded because I'm feeling pretty screwed up right now. Thoughts?? Sorry if it's a bit much, I might be a bit rusty with my writing
