(Hey Everyone, for a year and a half I couldn't keep my feelings about what Marvel is doing to one of they're most popular characters any longer.
I just wanted to post this here between #34 & #35 because I want to bring what everyone seems to be forgetting about how the current Direction that Marvel is taking their mainstream Comics and how that might lead to the destruction whether in the comic universe or out with Marvel Comics.I don't want the universe that Stan Lee (May he Rest in Peace), contributed for a good chunk of his life to be ruined, especially to his favorite couple, to be ruined by what appears to be greed, apathy, and everything else that all us fans feel the company is heading towards.
Disclaimer: I do not own any aspect of Spider-man or the characters made by the talented people of Marvel. I'm just a concerned fan of Marvel with the direction that Management is taking the comics right now, especially with Spider-man.
So until you finish, please read, review and... don't flame. If you don't like it then please just don't read it.)
Within the limits of his realm, Mephisto began to do the same ritual that he had done when he first saw his prophesied vision of his downfall.
Only this time he saw himself victorious instead of anyone in a spider-man costume coming to stop and defeat him forever, he sees himself claiming his prize. Seeing how the prophecy that depicts his defeat by the child of Spider-man now that Spider-man and the red-haired woman, Mary Jane Watston.
The Devil couldn't do anything except laugh, a soul chilling laugh within his current imprisonment. Now that the current events that happened since the return of Wayep's herald an Earth year ago.
"And thanks to the actions and words of Paul Rabin, the two were well on their way to never rekindling their love again, ever." Mephisto mused, seeing the events of the Hellfire Gala.
"The most delicious thing about this is that I did not even have to lift a finger to do so…" Mephisto laughed, loving the Irony of it. This was not like how he subtly guided Norman Osborn to completing the Goblium Green formula to become the Green Goblin when the said goblin killed Spider-man's first love.
Mephisto continued to gloat, "The humans who made the decisions had made all this possible for one reason or another, are the ones who will help me without knowing it! Even more so now, thanks to the machinations of the so-called Queen Goblin and Kraven the Hunter, Spider-man has the Sins of Norman Osborn inside him."
The sins, that was once inside Norman Osborn had begun to slowly eating away at his mind and began to urge Peter to corrupt his soul.
The only thing that will truly make Mephisto know for one thing is if Peter Parker will take the life of someone, and if it happens to be Ms. Watson's new boyfriend, all the better.
Taking Paul Rabin's life will cement the mortal woman's decision so much that she will never want to get back together with Spider-man.
Honestly, Mephisto grinned at the thought, musing, "My, I certainly do enjoy how much more of a Goblin Mr. Parker is becoming. In fact, I may as well say that Peter Parker is now the Insidious Goblin-Spider."
Sitting down on his throne, Mephisto watched the events happen, especially as he said to himself, "In the meantime, I will keep an eye on things to make sure that Goblin-Spider will take the life of Ms. Watson's current beau."
His expression hardens as he said, as he told Dr. Strange after clones who took the mantle Kindred failed in their mission, "Besides… you never know what the future holds…"
Because at the end of The Devil's precognitive-vision, the scene he saw became covered in Dark Blue.
(Yeah, That's all I wanted to point out that if Peter succumbs to the Sins that makes up the essence of the Green Goblin, and kills Paul then Mephisto wins story-wise, as does the writer who broke them apart in the first place with "One More Day".
It just doesn't make sense as to why after Peter and Mary Jane finally got back together and are thinking about taking the step further in their relationship that this garbage since the first issue of the Amazing Spider-man Volume 6 where Peter is alone, ostracized by everyone, and without love where MJ is with another man. Doing all that does not make Spider-man relatable, it just only stunts his growth AND the growth of those who were inspired by the character to be the best versions of ourselves. To overcome the negativity that people in this world seem to throw at us.
Let me just say how when I read that first Issue of the latest volume last year, I felt sick... so physically and emotionally sick. And I pray to the Lord that they try and fix this.
So until the next issue, True Believers, pray and enjoy your day.)
