It was a sunny morning in a small town in the land of the rising sun. People got ready and went for their usual routine, the working people overcrowding the local trains to reach their workplace, children getting on the bus to go to school, and the housewives and househusbands going to the shop to get groceries. Everyone was going to where they are supposed to be in this world. Except for one person.

"Thank you for your patronage!"

A boy came out of a phone shop. He was different from the people around him. Properly spread black hair, fair skin, shiny purple eyes, and facial features that showed him to be of European descent. Looking at him, many would assume he is a foreign student, and given his age, it should be true, but alas, it was far from it. Because unlike a student in Japan who should be wearing a school uniform, he was wearing a casual outfit consisting of a black undershirt with a red leather jacker over it, blue jeans, and a pair of blue shoes.

He walked through the crowd carrying a bag in his hand and enters the cafe, with name "Café Hikari" on the board for everyone to see. He faces the door with the sign 'CLOSED' over it. He opens the door, and the bell chimes as he enters and says, "I am back".

The exterior and the interior of the cafe seemed to be of a suburban home, but that was what made this place unique. Several rooms have tables, chairs and the kitchen and the room next to it reserved for taking in orders and paying for it. He enters the cafe and heads over to the kitchen.

"Welcome back Lelouch", a girl calls out to him.

The boy, Lelouch, turns his head and looks at the source of the voice and smiles. There was a girl, sitting behind the counter ready to take orders. The dress she wore was a white top with a long pink skirt. Her long blonde hair went to her waist and were in a style that made her look like a princess. What stood out the most to her was the fact that she had her eyes closed and was bound to a wheelchair. Lelouch went to her but before he could say anything, a boy arrives. He had wildly unkept brown hair and had green eyes, his facial structure showed him to be from Japan, he wore an orange sweatshirt, black jeans, and a pair of grey casual shoes.

The boy said, "Hey Lelouch! Did you buy it?".

"Yeah", Lelouch replied, as he placed the bag on the counter and takes out a new phone. It was a smart phone freshly taken out from its box, he hands it over to the boy, "I got a new SIM installed in it."

"Thanks"

"Now that's done", Lelouch walks over to the kitchen and took off his jacket, "get ready to start the day", and wore a white apron, "today is sure going to be a busy day Suzaku, Nunnally".

"Ok!", Nunnally and Suzaku said at once, and got ready to work.

The Japanese boy, Suzaku started prepping the cafe. He took a cloth, mopped the floor, wiped the windows, and cleaned the tables. He worked mechanically, diligently, quickly, and efficiently. Nunnally started working on the cash register, accounting for everything within the cafe. As for Lelouch, he simply started baking and preparing all the products the café needed beforehand.

To regular people this would seem to be child labor, and it should be. Two 14 yrs old boys and an 11 yrs old disabled girl shouldn't be working in a cafe. But no one raised any questions about it, rather than that, they were proud of them, and even supported them, whether it be with legal documentations or just emotional support. Thus, the three worked in it, owned it, and made it their home.

By 10 AM, the sign of the shop flipped from 'CLOSED' to 'OPEN', officially opening for the day. People started coming in soon after and the trio got to work. Suzaku started taking the orders from the customers and served them their food, Lelouch worked diligently and efficiently to prepare the items for the customers while putting some dirty dishes into the dishwasher, Nunnally sat behind the counter as she billed the customers, handled the inventory of the café, and managed their records, despite of her being handicapped.

Between 12 to 2PM, the rush hours began, and the three worked past their capacity to meet the demands. The café was packed, and Suzaku may or may not have had trouble doing his work, but they still made it.

At 3PM, the rush was over, people didn't come and wouldn't come for the rest of the day. Lelouch finally takes a breather. He prepares some food and places it on a tray and picks it up. Suzaku empties all the tables and cleans them, he flips the sign at the door from 'OPEN' to 'CLOSED', he goes over to Nunnally who completed her work and pulls her through her wheelchair, and places her into a side of an empty table. He then places three plates into the table and sets it up before taking his seat on the table. Lelouch comes soon after, carrying their lunch and sits down with them. He places Nunnally's food on her plate while Suzaku and Lelouch help themselves.

With the three have a hearty meal Nunnally asks, "Lelouch, can we go to that park again? I love the lilies over there."

"Sure Nunnally, we can also go to that bakery you like very much on the way.", Nunnally's face brightens hearing that, "Thank you!", despite not being able to see she really liked the smell of the flowers, the flower garden in the park, next block was just the place she really liked to visit. As for the bakery, it had some of the best bread she ever tasted. Lelouch might be an amazing baker himself given how he makes most of the (if not all) products on the menu, but even he couldn't compete with the masters of her favorite bakery. Though to Suzaku and Nunnally, it was in fact hilarious to see when Lelouch, in envy, challenged the bakers over there in a showdown. He lost, but it impressed the bakers enough to take him in and teach him their techniques and secrets.

Suzaku on the other hand fiddled with his phone and was looking disappointed with it. Lelouch notices it and asks, "What's wrong?"

He sighs and answers, "It's the same thing", as he flips the phone and shows the screen to Lelouch. On it, was a photo of Nunnally and Lelouch enjoying the meal, indicating that it was taken just recently, but the issue with it was that it was not a proper photo, it was as if someone put a distortion filter over it, ruining the photo.

Lelouch narrows his eyes and takes the phone from Suzaku and inspects the photo a bit more closely. This was not a new problem. The only tele-communication the three owned was a landline, and that was when they were inside the café. With that in mind, Lelouch bought a phone. While it worked well and the calls could be made, taking a photograph from it was a whole another issue. Every time the three tried taking photos, it always became distorted. Lelouch had an idea why, and after trying several cameras, video-cameras, and phones with camera features, he concluded that they could not just take any normal pictures. It would always come out distorted unless someone else took a photo.

"Well, it looks like taking a picture is just isn't there for us", Lelouch commented, giving up on the idea of taking a photograph.

Suzaku said, "Maybe we should try one more time, right?"

Lelouch looked at his friend with a disappointing gaze, "Suzaku….", he sighs and replies, "one more time. After that, we will have to work with distorted photos."

They continue their meal and talk about what they will do next.

"Aaaand checkmate", Lelouch said as he moved his pawn forward, putting it in a check to the king while locking its movement with a queen and a knight, defeating his opponent.

"And with this, Mr. Lamperouge remains the undefeated victor here!", the spectators cheered as the match ended.

The opponent sighed in defeat, but soon he smiled and raised his hands forward for a handshake, "Nice game Mr. Lamperouge. I can see why you remain the undefeated around here."

"Don't sell yourself short sir, you were quite the formidable opponent", Lelouch took his opponent's hand and returned the handshake.

Lelouch had a notorious reputation around here for being the undefeated chess master in this area, and whenever people held a match for fun, they would always try to include him, even though they knew that they would lose terribly. Today just happened to be one of those days when someone new to the town comes to try their hand in chess. When the trio were near the park, they found that someone dominating the chess board. When bystanders noticed Lelouch they encouraged him to challenge the new guy.

Not surprising to the locals, yet exciting nonetheless, Lelouch won, but the match was breathtaking as it was the closest Lelouch ever got to feeling challenged in a match.

"By the way Mr. Lamperouge", asked the newcomer, "just what was your strategy behind pushing your king forward so early on?"

He honestly answered, "If the king does not move himself, then how do you believe his subjects will follow him?"

The newcomer thought deep into this and shook his head, "That's an interesting view Mr. Lamperouge. I hope we can have a match again. Thank you"

"The pleasure is mine."

With this Lelouch joined his sister and his friend and went their own way.

Hours later, night fell. The world went to sleep, yet in the café, the light was still on. Lelouch was fiddling with something in the living room while Nunnally and Suzaku were sleeping in their rooms. The thing Lelouch was currently fiddling with could be roughly described as some sort of metal bookcase that acted as a sword and a gun.

"Just how do you work?", Lelouch wondered as he kept fiddling with it.

How it worked was something Lelouch couldn't figure out, but it was the least of his worries. With the gun-book-sword opened like a…. well book. He saw that inside it wasn't pages or a digital screen, but instead a collection of neatly settled stack of cards. It was nothing new to him. Ever since they moved to this building 4 years ago, he found this and another device, that could be described as a white box with levers on the side to tilt it at 90 degrees, a red see through glass in the middle surrounded by 9 symbols (all of which were on some of the cards), and a slot to place the cards from the book.

***WROOM***

The book made the noise as if someone revved up an engine. And it always did whenever Lelouch took out a card from it, and right now he did. He inspected the card and found it rather bizarre. At first glance one could assume that it was a set of trading cards. As it had the face of a costumed individual at the front, with its details down below:
"MASKED RIDER"

With various names following it like:
"KUUGA"
"BUILD"
"GHOST"
"RYUKI"

Then there were some other cards with:
"ATTACK RIDE"

With their backs having various symbols. 9 of which can be found on the white box.

After arranging them using all his intelligence and deductive reasoning he concluded a couple of things about these cards. The cards with words "KAMEN RIDE" are the main cards. With these "MASKED RIDER"s to use. "ATTACK RIDE" cards for special combat abilities, "FORM RIDE" for various forms for said "MASKED RIDER"s, with "FINAL ATTACK RIDE" obviously being a finisher. The only one type of cards he didn't get was "FINAL FORM RIDE" cards and how were they supposed to work.

With that he managed to separate over 34 different "MASKED RIDER" cards with their respective, "FORM RIDE", "ATTACK RIDE", "FINAL ATTACK RIDE", and "FINAL FORM RIDE"

Now, as said earlier at first glance they may look like a standard set of trading cards games of a superhero series. But given the fact that the bookcase where these cards were stored was also a sword and a gun straight up told him they were anything but normal. One could say that the original owner was a weird guy but then the house is also far from a normal one. He knows it very well, and what it could do.

From what he could figure out, one would pull the levers on the side of the white box to open the card insert slot and the card would go into the white box from there. What happens after that, is something he could never figure out. He tried pushing the lever in, but it did nothing. All pulling the lever did was make a weird noise and tilt the box 90 degrees.

Another weird thing about the box was that it could be removed from the lever with a bit of a pull. At first Lelouch thought he broke it, but on close inspection he saw that the box was an attachment to the lever and there was something else that could be placed in there in addition to the box. He tried finding any other stuff that could fit the lever, but he never found it.

Speaking of cards, he once took a couple of them out and asked around the neighborhood if anyone knew about it. The kids, who should have been the target audience for these things, didn't seem to know anything about it. He also asked on the internet and met with no results. No one even knew what the figures on them were supposed to be. Some people on the internet forums stated that it may have been some low-grade company's attempt at selling more products, but the fact that no one even knew what these figures on the cards were, was the most disturbing. Nunnally and Suzaku often commented he was being too obsessive over it, but he couldn't help it. It was a mystery alongside this house that always nagged him.

"Another night of no result", Lelouch sighed as he packed the set up and hid them back where they were usually kept and went to sleep. He knew that one day he would figure out the mystery of the box and the bookcase, but something told him that he might not like it.

Suzaku Kurugi is young man, like very young. Even though he is in his early teens (14 to be exact) he still managed to be a dependable person for his family. That being Lelouch Lamperouge, Nunnally Lamperouge and himself. The Lamperouge siblings and Suzaku first met a couple of years ago. Back then the two came to Japan, under the guise of being exchange students and the Kururugi's being their foster family. Suzaku was curious when they arrived, and it was that curiosity that had him wanting to meet them. Unfortunately, his elders forbade him to ever meet them. Not only that, but it turns out that the siblings weren't allowed to leave the premises of the house at all and weren't allowed to meet others. He was confused as to why it was that way. He asked his parents numerous times about it, and all they replied was that he was too young for it. So he took it upon himself and quietly made his way to meet them. After all, no one likes to stay alone. And eventually he did meet them. He was caught many times for it, punished many times for it, but it didn't stop him. He was a gentle hearted kid after all.

Unfortunately, soon after that, tragedy stuck. It was too brutal to be spoken about, too brutal to remember about, but the result was their new reality. The three were orphaned and had nothing but to wander Japan. It was brutal, painful, but after months of walking, scavenging, and surviving, they made their way into a certain building. It changed their lives, literally, and eventually it became their new home. Their refuge. Their new life. Their café.

The three don't speak about it. That much was certain, but as long as they had each other, they would be fine.

Suzaku's day always starts with the sound of alarm clock waking him up at 6 AM. He gets up, changes into sportswear, tucks a hand towel under the rim of his shorts and goes out for a workout.

With the sky grey and the sun still rising, he jogs around the neighborhood with an impressive speed. Greeting the early risers with a smile, he makes his way to the nearby park.

There, with his body fully warmed up, he starts stretching his muscles and begins doing cardio exercises. Pushups, pullups, sit-ups, etc. he did them all. Some days, other people who also exercised in the morning came to him and taught him new things to do. Yoga poses, different types of stretching and some more muscle developing exercises were things he learned from others. Lasting his exercise for 1 hour, he goes back to his home.

At 7:30 AM he comes back home and goes to the bathroom. By 8:15 AM he is clean, fresh, and ready to do the café/house chores. By 10:00 AM the café gets cleaned and ready. He flips the sign on the door that goes from 'CLOSED' to 'OPEN' and waits as customers start pouring in. At 12:00 PM the lunch rush begins and customers waiting for the food becomes more than the seats they can provide. Even then, by 3:00 PM the rush is over, no new customers arrive, and the café finally closes for the rest of the day.

Suzaku pulls Nunnally from the counter and sets her to a table. He places the dishes and waits as Lelouch brings their lunch. After placing the meal on the table he joins the two.

"Thank you for the meal", the three chant and dig into their meal. But before they could take the first bite, someone knocked on their door.

The three stop midway, with Lelouch and Suzaku looking at each other. Confusion and surprise written on their face. No one usually came at this hour, especially with the sign over the door being 'CLOSED'. People here were just kind enough to not bother them much.

"Wait here Nunnally", Lelouch said, as he gets up to get the door.

"Okay"

He makes it to the door and make sures the door-chain is there locking the door part way through and cautiously opens it. His eyes widen in surprise as he sees two men wearing white uniforms with what could be described as polite hairstyles waiting outside the door, with one of them carrying a rather large briefcase. Looking behind them he is even more surprised as there are a couple of black tinted cars lined up right outside the house with more men in white suits standing near them.

Before he could process what he was seeing one of the men, who was without the briefcase, asked, "Are you Lelouch Lamperouge?"

Lelouch perked up at that and nodded, "Yes"

"We would like to ask some questions to about the cards that you possess."

His eyes narrow at it, "I am sorry, but we are having lunch at the moment."

"I apologize for disturbing you, but we would prefer to talk it sooner than later."

Lelouch thought about it for a moment. He these men were suspicious with their urgency but could get answers.

"If it eases you, we can also discuss the nature of this house to you", with that, the internal debate was over and Lelouch let them in.

Nunnally Lamperouge was a blind girl ever since she was little. She wasn't born blind; it was just that an incident occurred during her childhood that took her eyes and left her paralyzed waist below. She was blind and disabled sure, but that didn't mean she was dumb regarding her surroundings. She could easily feel the tension in the air as she felt Suzaku and Lelouch sitting by her side and two men at the front, with their lunch packed away.

"Where would you like to begin?", one of them asked.

"Who are you people?", Lelouch asked right away.

"My name is Kazuma, and my associate's name is Shinichi. We are members of a research institute called Foundation X, and our goal is to research objects of immense power across the worlds."

She felt confused. What did they mean, worlds?

She then hears something being placed over the table, and then comes the sound of humming. It was times like these she wished she could see.

"It might be a lot confusing so bear with me. This is the world we currently reside in, a world where people are blindingly nice to each other, support each other to the point that they will set up a café for 3 orphans to own without question, and the economy runs so smooth that the café can make enough to live a paradise to say", a tap comes and more humming follows, "and these are the worlds separate from the one where we are. Each with their own rules, some riddled with war, some devoid of any life, and some being a land of peace."

She surprisingly understood a lot of it. There are many enthusiastic kids of her age in the park, and listening to them going on about superheroes and multiverse was a common occurrence. Who knew it would be handy much less real one day?

"Normally you can't just travel to these worlds using conventional methods of transportation. And that is where this house comes in."

"So, you are saying that this house can travel across these worlds?", Suzaku chimes in.

It makes sense now. They were going through a tough time before finding this house. The smell of trash surrounded them, there was no one to talk to, and Lelouch had to carry her on his back for long distances. It was after finding this house and taking shelter in it, did the drastic change occurred.

Perhaps, if she could see she would have noticed it much sooner.

"Exactly", the man confirmed, "We don't know how this house came to be, but it can travel through these worlds. How it does is still a mystery, but it does, nonetheless. Which now brings us to a question of our own. How did you find this house?"

The three were silent about it. The full story would be too hard. She could feel Lelouch and Suzaku looking at each other and after more silence, her brother spoke, "We were in a barren land with no one for miles away. We found this house and the next thing we knew, we were here."

"Hm….", Kazama took this information and then asked, "did you meet any of the previous residents of this house?"

"No. There was no one when we entered this house."

"What about belongings? Things that you would find in a photo studio?"

That was surprising. She didn't expect a literal travelling house to be a photo studio, "No. There weren't", Lelouch replied with surprise in his voice, "we found this house pretty empty."

"That shouldn't be possible", she heard him mutter.

"Let's finally start with what we came here for", a second male voice, Mr. Shinichi she assumed, spoke, his voice seemed rather impatient, "the cards and everything you have with it."

Lelouch got up from his seat and went back. After a while, he came back and placed things over to the table. The sound they made told her there were no cards. Did Lelouch bring out both the box and the case?, she thought.

She heard the box and the case getting picked up. Silence hung in the air, as she believed that the two men kept looking at the produced items. Mr. Kazuma then asked, "Was there another driver? Like this one but magenta in colour?"

Driver?

"No"

"Hm…", Mr. Kazuma seemed to be in deep thought.

"What are these things?", Lelouch asked.

"That is none of your concern", Mr. Shinichi immediately told them.

Before her brother could say anything, someone screamed outside. The group immediately tensed, and the ground suddenly shook.

"Don't tell me…", Mr Shinichi spoke with uncertainty in his tone.

"Suzaku! Grab Nunnally!", Lelouch said as she felt him standing up. She was then suddenly grabbed by Suzaku and was placed on a piggyback.

The two ran upstairs, deeper into the confines of home. She felt Suzaku stop and then heard a door open. Suzaku went in followed by Lelouch. The door was then closed, she was placed over the ground, and the sound of lock clicking reached her ears. The sound of drawing of curtains reached her ear and after that, she felt Suzaku and Lelouch by her side taking each of her hand and grasping it tightly.

The three were scared, as the violence outside continued. There were sounds of screams, explosions and gunfire. They thought it was all over again, their life, before finding this building. She was sure that she would die this time, that she wouldn't be able to see her brother again, and thus she prayed, prayed that it would be alright, that it would be nothing but a bad dream. The violence went on, and the concept of time was forgotten by the three.

Has it been an hour? Hours?

They didn't bother even looking at the clock for time.

And then, suddenly, by some miracle, the sound of violence just stops.

They waited. Not moving an inch from their location. Suzaku got up first. The sound of his footsteps indicated he walked cautiously. He stops and after a while, she hears him say, "They're… all dead."

Her heart dropped. Then suddenly, she felt Lelouch leaving her side. He made his way to the window and looked outside.

Nunnally mutters, "Are…. are they-"

"We should go and look for survivors", Suzaku suggested.

Lelouch immediately counters, "Are you crazy? The fight just got over! What if there's more of this is going on out there!"

"But we have to try!"

"Suzaku be realistic. We are literally children! Even if we find survivors what do we even do!? Besides, if something comes up, we won't be able to handle it at all!"

"But—"

"NO!"

"Le-Le-Lelouch", Nunnally whimpered attracting the attention of both, stopping their quarrel, "p-please, let's go and see if anyone survived."

The first thing Lelouch saw when stepping outside was death and destruction. If he hadn't seen it firsthand as a kid, it would have traumatized him now. Looking back, he saw Suzaku carrying Nunnally on his back and on this rare occasion, he was thankful that she was blind to see this carnage in front of her.

In front of the door to their house laid the bodies of people from Foundation X. Some were stabbed and some were choked to death. Lelouch closes his eyes and looks back at Suzaku with concern over their faces.

He kneeled at their bodies and started inspecting them.

"What are you doing?", Suzaku asked.

"Looking for that box and the gun", Lelouch answered, "And hoping that these people bought something we can use."

"You are robbing their bodies!", Suzaku objected.

"This place just got turned into a warzone! I don't really think we can delve into anything like that."

That silenced Suzaku. With Nunnally giving no response

"Let's go", Lelouch said as the trio went to lookout for survivors.

As they marched onwards, more bodies were discovered, but no one was alive. Tension continued to rise among the three, and they grew weary of it.

2 blocks from their starting point, with no one alive, they just wondered, what could possibly have done this all.

All of a sudden, a roar permeated through the air. The three shuddered at this and then they saw it.

A monster in a dark toxic green colour, walking in all fours, covered in black rags and looked as if half of its face was melted. It looked at them and lunged. Suzaku and Lelouch leapt at different directions, with the monster separating them. Its eyes fixed on Lelouch and slowly crawled towards him.

Lelouch started walking backwards fearing for his safety, but a part of his mind at rest that it at least ignored Suzaku and Nunnally.

The monster then howled, and then just like that a couple more monsters in different shapes, colour and sizes started coming out. Most of them were locked on Lelouch, eyeing him as their prey.

He felt the blood rushing over his body, adrenaline pumping, and just like that he shouted, "Suzaku! Take Nunnally and get out of there."

"WHAT!?", the two cried, but Lelouch paid them no mind, as he started running to get away from them.

Suzaku and Nunnally stuck there dumbfounded as most of the monsters started chasing him. With less albeit still dangerous monsters around them Suzaku ran away in another direction not being able to chase after Lelouch.

"Suzaku!", Nunnally cried as tears started coming over her eyes, "Le-Lelouch-"

"Don't worry Nunnally", Suzaku cut her off, "We will see him soon.",

A lie, because it was impossible for Lelouch to fend off those monsters by himself. But that didn't mean he was devoid of any hope. Because he hoped for a miracle to happen that would save his best friend.

Lelouch was getting tired, physically. He wasn't a sporty person nor was he much of a runner. It was Suzaku's thing to be that way. He was the guy who sat in his home all day and did the chores damn well, but never the heavy duty labor ones, and now it bit him in the ass. After running past half a block, he was tired, but he couldn't stop, not when he had these monsters after him.

He dared to look back only to discover that these monsters were just behind him. And after a while it stayed that way.

What are these things?, he wondered.

Out of nowhere sound of gunshots came, as if there was a squad of people firing, and with that the monsters died in explosion. Lelouch stumbled and fell on his butt, surprised and pushed back by the suddenness of the explosion.

Wondering who the shooter was, he looked around and found one person, holding a gun at hi- no, the monsters direction indicating he shot them. It lowered the gun and looked at him.

The person wore a black cape with gold lining that hid most of their upper body frame, their shoulders having pads giving them a regal look, the cape having collars that reached their head and the inside being of maroon red colour. Beneath the cape it wore a purple suit with gold lining matching the cape, with matching shoes with gold lining, and a white scarf on the neck. And lastly, their head covered with a black helmet with five pointy horns upwards and having a big oval visor, purple in colour, for them to see through it.

Lelouch was mesmerized by this and felt as if he was in the presence of some powerful being. Forgotten to stand up and still on his knees, he asked, "Who… who are you?"

The figure with their modulated male voice answered, "I am Zero."

"Zero?"

The then walked towards him. Lelouch broke out of the stupor and fully stood up.

"Lelouch Lamperouge", Zero said surprising Lelouch as the figure he just met knew his name, "I believe this is yours", and with that Zero presented him with the white box and the gun-book-sword."

"Yes"

His eyes widened he took the gun with him but as he was taking the box Zero's hand jerked backwards. He looked at his savior's face as they raised the box and asked, "Do you know what this is?"

He shook his head, "No"

"Then listen carefully", he instructed (assuming it's a boy as they are using a modulated male voice), "this is called the Decadriver, and it contains power that you cannot imagine unless you experience it, and it is tied to you."

"What?", Lelouch muttered.

"The second you went into that home your destiny intertwined with this driver, and because of that you must bear the curse.", he walked towards him and placed the Decadriver below his stomach where usually the buckle of a belt stays. And suddenly a strap came out of the driver latching itself around his waist. Surprised, Lelouch looked up at Zero, "take this", bringing out the 'MASKED RIDER' card of an individual named 'DECADE', "and use it.", he handed it over to him.

Lelouch looked at it and then at Zero, "I believe you already know how to use it.", then with a wave of his cape he started walking away from him.

"Hey, wait!", Lelouch chased after him but then Zero stopped. The scenery around them changed, the fabric of reality around him rippled as if it is water and restructured itself into a different, yet the same type of destroyed landscape. Lelouch stopped in his tracks as he was left stunned.

"Don't you have people to go back to right now?", Zero called out.

"AHHH!", scream of a little girl came to his ears as he looked around and saw Nunnally and Suzaku being chased by a blue and white furred monster.

His pupils dilate, "Oh no!", and runs after them.

"We will meet again in the next world, Decade.", Zero announced, as a wall over watery silver texture appears behind him, swallowing him.

Suzaku built up a lot of muscles and stamina, all thanks to his morning routine of exercises, and now it was paying out for him. Carrying Nunnally to keep her safe from that one monster that decided to chase after them was going, for all things considered, well. He leapt over debris and never got tired once as he ran. He looked back and saw the monster's face. It had humanoid proportions for its body (sort of), was white and blue in colour with fur over its body, had the face of a saber-tooth tiger, and big claws that could cut through steel.

Nunnally whimpered over him, scared of what was going on. Scared for the trouble Lelouch was in. He didn't like it, but he didn't had a choice. He had to at least protect Nunnally for Lelouch's sake.

The monster reached them and swiped his claws at Suzaku. He jumped, but with the added weight of Nunnally, he couldn't fully avoid the attack, allowing the monster to leave a deep cut over his leg.

Suzaku stumbled accidentally dropping Nunnally on the way and fell on the ground.

"NUNNALLY!", he cried as he crawled his way over to her with the monster near them.

"Hehehehe", the monster laughed as he was near them and raised its claws up in the air.

"NO!"

But then just like that someone intervened and stuck the monster right in its face. Suzaku's eyes widened as he saw a masked warrior in a suit of armor fighting the monster. The armor was magenta in colour on the sides, with black in the center, the chest had a black cross, outlined with white to distinguish it, that went to its left shoulder, also white in colour, while the right shoulder was in magenta. The inside portion of the thighs were white as well with magenta on the sides and black in the middle.

The helmet the stranger wore was magenta in colour, with big green bug eyes to see through it, and black vertical lines over the entire front with a yellow gem at the center of its forehead atop the center most black line.

But the thing he noticed the most was the white box on its waist strapped like a belt, with the gun-book-sword hanging on the left side of their hip. The box and the case that they found in their home all those years ago, the items that they gave to the people of Foundation X before this attack happened.

Suzaku grabbed Nunnally and took her behind some debris to cover themselves. He watched as the armored warrior fought that monster, with skill that could be easily described as poorly. They fought as if they never ever trained in their life. The monster deflected one of its poorly thrown punches and returned the favor by backhanding the masked warrior so hard he flew and crashed over to a wall.

"Su-Suzaku", Nunnally muttered, drawing his attention back to her.

He knelt down and hugged her, "Don't worry, I am here for you.", as he kept looking back at the fight.

The monster rubbed its head and walked towards the masked warrior. On the other side, the warrior stood up, albeit stumblingly, and whipped out the bookcase in its gun form and started shooting.

It also showed that the masked guy wasn't a shooter as they couldn't handle the recoil and missed some of the shots by a large margin. Luckily, one of the shorts managed to land on the monster's head and it stumbled back.

The masked guy then hastily opened the book and took a yellow card out from it. He pulled the lever of the white box on his waist and placed the card in.

[FINAL ATTACK RIDE:

And pushed the lever in—

DE-DE-DE-DECADE]

Holograms of yellow cards started appearing from thin air and started placing themselves between the masked guy and the monster. The saber tooth like monster gets up and throws a punch at the holographic card in front of it.

It is ineffective to say the least.

The masked guy then raises his gun at the monster, and after, what seemed to be taking a careful aim at the beast, it pulls the trigger.

The bullet comes out of the barrel and enters the first hologram, then it vanishes and comes out of the card in front of it. It repeats, building more and more power in that single shot, as it finally comes out of the final card and strikes the monster, obliterating it in a blaze of explosion.

Suzaku awes at the explosion, and then looks at the masked guy, who looked equally stunned at the explosion in front of it. He walks towards them, but then stops when their head jerks towards him.

"Suzaku!", a familiar voice calls out from the suit.

"Lelouch?", Suzaku asks, flabbergasted.

The mask- Lelouch pulls the lever of the box and the armor dissolves in a holographic manner revealing that it was indeed Lelouch. Sighing in relief, the two pull each other into a hug.

"Thank god you are okay!", Lelouch cries.

"Me!? What happened to you? What was that? H-How!?", Suzaku had many questions in his mind.

But Lelouch ignored them all and went over to his sister and tightly hugged her, "Nunnally!"

"Lelouch?", Nunnally muttered, and cried a fountain of tears.

They stayed there for a few moments as the brother and sister released all their feelings.

"Lelouch…", Suzaku went over to the siblings, "what was that?"

"I don't really know", Lelouch looked at the ground, "let's go back home first. Then we will think about it."

The trip home was nothing but silent. The three were covered in dust and soot, Suzaku got a deep cut over his leg and was left in a semi-limping state while Lelouch carried his sister as they walked, with the sun glowing orange, the sky turning purple and the moon coming up in the view. They looked around at the destroyed buildings, wondering just how the beautiful city they lived in for years would get destroyed within a day. They found no one alive, just the dead, and went into their home, their trauma kicking back into them.

Back home, with the entire house surprisingly left untouched by those monsters, there was no need to clean or repair anything, it was as if nothing happened at all. Making their way into the dining area, Lelouch places his sister over to a chair, just at the moment for her stomach to growl for food, following this, Suzaku's stomach also growls and so does his. He sighs and goes back into the kitchen but then he notices something, something within the house that wasn't there before.

"What the—a chain?", he wondered.

A chain. Hanging from the ceiling in a corner of the room was a chain, going from ceiling to ground and then leading back to the ceiling. Lelouch inspected it and laid his eyes as it led to the ceiling. There he discovered a sheet of cloth rolled up at the ceiling.

"What's this?", Suzaku asked.

"I don't know", Lelouch replied, "This seems to be some sort of curtain that rolls up and comes down… but there's no window at this side of the wall! There's no use of this here, and who put it here?"

"Lelouch, be careful", Nunnally said as she sat still.

"I'll be careful", he said as he fiddled with the chain. With a light tug over the chain, the curtain fell. But unlike a regular curtain that had patterns over it, it was a painting of a high school. The Lelouch and Suzaku wondered what it was but then suddenly it started glowing. Lelouch and Suzaku covered their eyes, blinded by the sudden brightness of the curtain, while Nunnally was left unbothered.

After some time, the glowing stopped and the two opened their eyes.

"What… happened?", Suzaku asked, with Lelouch dumbly nodding.

Lelouch turned around and was even more shocked, because as he looked through the window, he didn't see a destroyed city with sun setting under the dark sky. It was a lively city going through its routine as if nothing happened at all with the sun shining in the light blue sky.

Lelouch walked backwards, scared and confused by all of it.

"What the-", he didn't need to look back to see what Suzaku was feeling, because he was sure he felt the same.

"Lelouch", Nunnally spoke with concern. The two couldn't turn their head to look at her as they were still wrapping their head around what just happened, "what's going on?"

"I-", Lelouch was confused. He looked at the white box in his hands, staring at the tinted lens in the middle of it, "I don't know…"

Author's Note:-

So… it's been a looong looong time since I have posted remotely anything over… and I have pretty good reasons why….

So let's start off with what happened with my so long unannounced hiatus…
For starters, let's talk about Dead Man Rises (RWBY X Spawn crossover fic) first, so when I released ch 8 of Dead Man Rises I knew something was wrong with it. So, because of that I hit a creative block while writing it.
I then decided to re-write Rise of a Ranger (RWBY X Power Rangers crossover fic) but even now it's an issue since I really don't want to re-write/re-upload it from scratch. Even now I am re-writing this fic.
And with all this my IRL had to interrupt me even more.
Because of this, Emeral Archer (MHA X Arrow crossover fic) got delayed and suffered with hiatus at a cliffhanger.

With all this I stayed on with no communication (that's on me sorry) with work still put to be done.

Now, onto this story:
So I was reading fanfics here and there and I came across this Code Geass X Kamen Rider fic titled "Code Decade: The Rider Rebellion" by 'kyugan', and boy… is it good. So, because it's not completed and is stuck with what it is, I got inspired to write my own version of that, with what you see. A very early teen Lelouch and Suzaku, with barely teen Nunnally, travelling across the damn multiverse. Now, I have my reasons why that is, and it is mainly because I have this fic's time frame to be huge, as years huge, so it will give me a lot of wiggle room to do many things I want, and boy with the way things are set I have a lot of wiggle room to do shit here.

First off, many fic writers when making a Decade fic (where MC picks up the mantle of Decade) go with Nine Worlds Arc and unlocking powers, well… that isn't happening here, and neither every world will get an arc. With the powers already unlocked (to a certain degree), there isn't a reason for Lelouch to copy Tsukasa's journey, it's his journey, and nor is it a reason for me to not re-use a Rider for another world.

Yes, secondly, be prepared to have different worlds having same Riders. For eg: I can have an arc around Kamen Rider Geats in modern setting as World of Geats, and then two arcs later can have Kamen Rider Geats once again but set in a medieval period as another World of Geats.

So basically, I am giving myself a hell of a lot of freedom to do shit anyway I want.

So, I hope you enjoy this fic and because there's lots to come.
