They had just returned from the tea house, Dooshik had flown them back to Mihyun's apartment.
The experience was truly fascinating for Mihyun, not only because of the stunning view during the flight, but also of the feeling of being in Dooshik's strong arms. She could feel his comforting warmth and firm hands holding her as they floated gracefully through the cold air.
With a pink face due to the cold, she entered the apartment first, taking off her shoes, she went to light the lamp near the couch. Her hands still shake a little as she lit the smooth light, bathing the room in a golden, welcoming glow. She wanted to preserve the atmosphere of intimacy, avoiding the cold white light of the ceiling that could break the magic of the moment.
Dooshik, his hair messy by the wind and his eyes still shining with excitement, came in after her. In the entrance hall, he carefully took off his shoes. As he did this, he couldn't believe his luck of sharing the experience of flying with Mihyun. And now, in her apartment, his heart throbbed with joy to be there.
However, all these feelings were distracting him so much that, without realizing it, Dooshik began to float to the middle of the room instead of walking. That way, it would be very complicated to proceed with whatever would happen there if he couldn't even keep his feet on the ground.
Standing in the center of Mihyun's room, his height made the room look smaller. "He looks more relaxed than he really is," Mihyun thought, while listening to the accelerated beats of Dooshik's heart. She had snuggled on the couch to watch him better.
"Purple Curtains" he thought aloud, remembering his conversation at the Donkatsu's restaurant. He walked through the apartment lit only with the soft brightness of the lamp, analyzing the small traces of Mihyun's personal taste. It was a habit that he had acquired over the years of work as an ANSP elite agent.
After carefully exploring the room, he turned to Mihyun, offering a shy smile before joining her on the couch, sitting next to her.
"You look happy to be here." She said softly, knowing how anxious he was, even if he tried to disguise it.
"Yes, I'm happy. Very happy. You make me happy." He said with his sincere way.
She reached out to hold his hand.
"Me too," she said, looking into his eyes.
"It's as if the rest of the world disappeared when I'm with you." He said, squeezing her hand with love, a small lovable smile on his lips.
She felt her heart accelerate a little, but remained calm on the outside.
"This is good to hear." She answered, leaning close to him.
They stayed there, together in the warmth of the couch, enjoying each other's company and the tranquility of that moment. The lamp gave a soft light, complementing the atmosphere of intimacy that enveloped them and made them forget the cold outside. It was an almost magical moment and they both knew they were exactly where they wanted to be.
Outside the window, the snow had started to fall slowly. With the ease of two people who had known each other for an eternity, instead of just a few months, Dooshik took off Mihyun's glasses and then released her hair tie. He leaned closer to her and kissed her hair.
"Your hair is so soft, I imagined several times what it would be like to touch it." He murmured as he smoothed the long black hair, his voice almost a whisper of admiration.
"What else did you imagine?" Mihyun asked looking at him, a glow of curiosity in her eyes, giving in to the soft touch.
"I imagined a lot of things, Mihyun. Things I wouldn't dare say aloud." Dooshik whispered, raising his intertwined hands, he pressed a soft kiss on the back of her hand before sliding his lips through her delicate wrist.
Mihyun felt a sensation of warmth spread through her body, even though she knew that Dooshik didn't possess senses as keen as hers, she was certain that he could feel the accelerated pulse beneath his lips.
Dooshik had spent most of his life as a field agent, where he had learned to be cold, calculating, and silent. His ability to interact with people was limited, and he had no family or relationships outside the ANSP. However, when it came to Mihyun, everything was different. Their connection was so natural and spontaneous that he marveled at how easily he could open up, express his feelings, and be himself. With her, it was as if he had finally found the place where he belonged.
Dooshik's tie was choking him, and he gently released her hand to loosen the knot. Mihyun followed the movement with her eyes, the intensity in her gaze made him pause. She wet her lips with the tip of her tongue, drawing his gaze, and just like that, Dooshik began to float.
Laughing softly, Mihyun knelt on the couch and pulled Dooshik by the arm before he ended up on the ceiling.
"Does this often happen?" she asked, using her weight to push his shoulders against the back of the couch.
"I wouldn't know," he replied with a smile, his eyes still fixed on her mouth, gently holding her waist. "Everything with you is new. It's as if I'm relearning how to fly."
Kissing him at that moment seemed not only natural, but necessary.
She tasted the tea they had drunk in his mouth, his hands squeezed her waist and Mihyun dug her fingers into his jacket.
In a swift motion, Dooshik placed her gently on his lap and caressed Mihyun's face. He intertwined his fingers in her hair and pulled gently, but firmly, to adjust the angle of the kiss. He raised his other hand up her torso, closing the distance between them, pressing the length of his arm against her back.
In addition to hearing, she could feel Dooshik's heart beating uncontrollably against her chest. Her own heart began to synchronize with that frenetic rhythm.
Dooshik ended the kiss, gently releasing his fingers from her hair. With affection, he smoothed the strands that were slightly messy. His other hand went down her back to her thigh, voluntarily slowing down the intensity of that moment. Only when Mihyun's knees touched the couch seat again did she realize that they were floating.
"Oh," she said in surprise.
"At least this time I didn't end up in the middle of the room," Dooshik chuckled softly, making reference to their first kiss in her office at the ANSP building.
Mihyun also laughed with a tone of enchantment in her voice, remembering how surprised and amazed she had been by the experience.
"Perhaps... we should consider stopping here?" He spoke cautiously, his eyes searching hers.
"No," said Mihyun after some reflection. Her tone was calm and thoughtful, with no rush to move forward, savoring the present. "And it's snowing, I think you should stay until tomorrow."
Dooshik looked into Mihyun's eyes with a silent reverence, on the verge of starting to float again.
Mihyun turned her attention to Dooshik's tie, broke the knot skillfully and took the opportunity to undo some buttons of his shirt as well, revealing part of his slender and defined torso. Dooshik let her explore his chest, relaxing on the back of the couch. Mihyun spread small kisses along the clavicle line.
She could feel the soft, warm texture under her fingers, she could feel his skin shiver under her kisses, she could sense Dooshik's breathing becoming more irregular and his heart was beating so fast that she was afraid that he would pass out. She moved away, worried.
"Let's take it slow. I don't want you to faint now," said Mihyun with a soft voice.
"Fainting now is not in my plans, I promise," Dooshik said with a smile.
She didn't seem too convinced, and he leaned toward her, so he could kiss the curve of her neck. Mihyun leaned her head backwards invitingly and shuddered with the sensation of his mouth moving over her, her hands were tangled in his dark hair and her hip moved involuntarily against Dooshik.
Dooshik gasped with his face on her cleavage. Her natural perfume, every movement, every touch ... Like that time in the office, he thought to himself that he wouldn't mind dying in her hands.
