So, Oshi No Ko..

Honestly, there hasn't been a Manga/Anime that caught my attention like this one has in a while. I'm not even ashamed to admit that I shed a tear upon Ai's death. She deserved better than what she got.

I had a draft ready for quite some time and never bothered to do more with it. That's until I read AncientKeeperOfScrollsV2 ''Shattering Lies'' which caught my attention as it incorporated a lot of the ideas I was going to use. If you haven't already, be sure to check it out.

So since they're the type of story I had in mind, I decided to instead come up with something else.

Hope you enjoy~

Chapter 1

''Uzumaki-san, you're up for your next scene in thirty minutes.'' One of the producers came in and told him as he hummed in affirmative. Not that he had much else to do, as he was sitting in a chair in front of a large mirror with several people surrounding him, each making sure he looked impeccable while some attempted to tame his unruly blond hair into something a but more neater.

As they continued to make sure he looked right for his role, Naruto's mind wandered back to how he ended up in this position. After all, if you told any of the people that knew him. Hell, if his future version would've travelled back to the past and told him this is what he'd be doing at the age of fifteen, he'd look at himself like he was insane. After all, going from liberating countries and saving princesses to this?

But no, this was the reality now. And all of it was the fault of that Perverted Toad.

It had been a little over a year since Naruto had left Konoha, the village where he had grown up, to go on a training trip with none other than the Legendary Jiraiya of the Sennin. Or, as he liked to call him, Pervy-Sage.

And so far, they hadn't been doing as much as Naruto would have liked. Sure, he and the pervert had been travelling to several different villages strewn throughout the Land of Fire, but that was more so for his teacher than it was to help him.

After all, Naruto was somewhat aware that his sensei had one, if not the largest spy networks in all of the lands which meant a lot of travelling to keep up to date with the latest tales and gossip.

Especially when rumours involved Akatsuki, which his teacher told him was a group of S-rank Shinobi that were after the Bijuu, and thus by proxy the Jinchuuriki that housed them.

While Naruto didn't mind travelling by itself. It allowed him to see how other villages, smaller ones went about and see and meet new people, he did wish there was more of a focus on him. Since that was the entire premise of the several year long training trip in the first place. Yes, his teacher had quickly smacked the idea of him being able to go toe-to-toe with these S-ranked Shinobi upon returning out of him, so far they hadn't really done a whole lot aside from a bit of Hand to Hand training and Jiraiya's insistence on making use of the chakra belonging to the Bijuu inside of him.

And honestly, to Naruto it kind of got on his nerves. It sometimes felt like his teacher didn't believe in him to be of any use without using Kyuubi's Chakra.

Even now, as they were sitting at the campfire after having put up their tents, Naruto watched from where he was seated as his teacher was working on another seal. Probably another one in case he'd lose control again.

''I'm going to bed.'' Naruto said as he stood up and made his way to his tent. Jiraiya hummed as he made the last finishing touches to the seal before he placed it in front of him and nodded, satisfied with his work as he too stood up.

The plan was to head to the nearest village tomorrow which was quite some distance away and getting a good night's rest before waking up early was only going to help. Unknowingly however, as he stood up his feet accidentally touched the still wet brush which rolled over the seal and caused a few droplets of ink to fall. They were tiny, miniscule ones, small enough that Jiraiya didn't seem to pay them any mind as he rolled up the scroll up which the seal was drawn on and put away his brush and went to his tent as well.

It happened again.

It had been a few days since then. Earlier this morning they had departed from the small village where Jiraiya had a meeting with one of his contacts and after what felt like an hour, maybe even two of walking they stopped at a grassy plain near a creek.

Standing opposite him, Jiraiya had his arms folded and looked on with narrowed eyes. Even so, that didn't mean he wasn't being serious, his body was tense, ready to react to whatever movement his student was about to make. Attached to his waist was the seal he had made a few days prior, if worse came to worse, he had no qualms on using it.

Naruto meanwhile was hunched over. Gritting his teeth with his now sharpened canines grinding atop of another as he desperately tried to fight back the influence of the Bijuu attempting to take over. His body felt like it was on fire and each cell was being pulled apart.

'Why, why isn't he helping me? Is- Isn't that what he's for? To- To teach me and make me stronger?!' He asked himself as he didn't like this feeling. Even discounting the pain, the amount of malice he was feeling from the fox was making him sick as he felt a tear running down his left cheek. 'I- I guess I shouldn't have thought him to be different. He's just another one that sees me as nothing more than the Kyuubi.'

It was with that thought that Naruto felt himself give in to the losing battle. His eyes rolled into the back of his mind as a third tail of malevolent chakra began to form itself and join the other two already swirling from behind him.

''Shit!'' Jiraiya cursed himself as he was hoping Naruto would've at least be able to get some sort of control over three tails of chakra. He was wrong and was now paying for it as he didn't waste a second and ducked as he dodged a swipe of his now unconscious and Bijuu controlled student.

He leaped back as two of the chakra tails embedded themselves into the ground he had previously been standing on. ''I can't waste more time.'' Jiraiya said to himself as his right hand went to the seal he had brought just in case before he sprinted to where Naruto was standing.

As he got closer, Jiraiya had to make several jumps and flips as the tails embedded in the ground burst forward in an attempt to skewer him, a hiss leaving his lips as he felt one graze his left leg. Ignoring the slight stinging sensation, Jiraiya reached out before slapping the suppressing seal on his student. Immediately he stopped moving as the seal glowed and the corrosive chakra was being suppressed as his student fell onto his knees, breathing deeply while Jiraiya himself let out a sigh of relief.

''A minute more and who knows what would've happened.'' He mused, an relieved but slightly disappointing expression marred him as he stared at the unconscious form of his godson. ''Maybe he had let things go a bit too far this time..'' Reaching down to pick up Naruto's unconscious form, as his hand made contact the seal began to pulse once more and cracks began to form in the air around them.

Before Jiraiya had time to comprehend what was going on it was already too late as the seal began to pulse once more and what followed was an eruption of energy as all Jiraiya knew was black.

And left behind was a grassy field that had seen better days, along with two backpacks underneath a nearby tree.

''Mrhm..'' A slow and pained groan was heard as blue orbs slowly revealed themself to the night sky. 'Huh, w-what happened?' Naruto asked himself as with another pained groan he raised himself into a sitting position. 'Why does everything hurt and what happened to my clothes?!' He looked down to see several holes in his current outfit as he began looking around.

There!

He carefully got to his feet, stumbling once in the process as he spotted the still unconscious form of his teacher a little over a dozen feet from where he was at.

Naruto took a few steps before he paused and brought a hand up to his head as he began to remember the events before he blacked out. 'Ah, that's right. I lost control..' He looked down at his hand as he clenched and unclenched it. 'But, it was his fault. I- I told him I wasn't ready and still he didn't listen. He- he didn't even look concerned when I was in pain.' He felt a stinging sensation on the left side of his chest at the thought.

'I really thought he would be different from those in Konoha.. I guess Sasuke was right. I am a fool.' Naruto felt his eyes sting as tears began to form as he quickly brought up an arm to wipe them away. Looking around he saw it was just him and his… sensei, he wasn't sure if he still wanted to call him that after what he had just experienced.

His brows furrowed as he took in more of his surroundings. This wasn't where he remembered them being. Naruto could tell by the way the ground was angled upward, like they were on a hill of sorts while he was almost certain the area before was rather flat.

Instead of attempting to wake the white haired man up, Naruto instead decided to see where he was at as nothing was recognizable to him. A short walk brought him to a clearing atop of the hill they were on. And there, in the distance he saw it.

Lights. Bright and unlike anything he'd seen before. So bright it made Konoha at night look like one of the rundown villages he had come across in the year he'd be gone. His enhanced vision was even able to spot the outline of buildings, ones that were much taller than even the tallest building in Konoha. He remembered Jiraiya telling him that the only village with buildings that tall was Amegakure but from what little Naruto was able to make out, they didn't fit the description either.

Slowly, Naruto began to come to a realisation that sounded completely outrageous but wasn't quite sure what else it could be. He knew for a fact that they were no longer in the Land of Fire. And from the description given to him, he wasn't in any of the other countries either.

Whatever Jiraiya had used to quell the Kyuubi's chakra had transported them. Somewhere unknown. A different continent maybe?

At first, Naruto began to panic as his breathing quickened and his hands started to tremble. Where was he? How was he going to find a way back? What about his dream to become Hokage? Or his promise to Sakura!?

It was overwhelming him and he felt like passing out again. He was about to when all the sudden something in his mind just… clicked and he just felt strangely calm.

It was his chance, a chance he would likely never get again. A new start? No Konoha where a majority of the populace hated his existence. No Akatsuki that was out for the burden he carried in which he had no choice. Hokage? He doubted the people would ever look at him with anything but loathing and hate. His promise to bring Sasuke back? He didn't value it more than his own life, something that he almost lost in his previous attempt. While breaking promises wasn't what he wanted, his life did take precedence.

As he continued to stare at what was likely a city in the far distance for what felt like hours, Naruto closed his eyes as he made his choice as he turned around and back to where Jiraiya was. Still lying unconscious.

Naruto picked up a small rock as he made his way over. He stopped in front of a small dirt area before lowering himself to his knees and moving his hand holding the rock down.

A brief moment later he stood up, sparing one last look at the person he was supposed to be able to trust before he turned around without uttering a word. He made his choice. An opportunity that could either pay off or screw him over entirely but at least whatever it was, it was a choice that he had made and not someone for him for the first time in his life.

Once gone, the only thing in the area was the unconscious form of Jiraiya and, written in the dirt close to him, the word 'Sorry.'

End Chapter.

So, I initially planned to write more but decided to stop here. See this as Chapter 1 and the next part being 1.5 that continues where I left off.

Now, before I have people asking why character X acts like this and how character Y isn't like this in canon. All I have to say is, patience. I have plans, ideas I think would be interesting to make use of which I feel like I am able to incorporate properly.

So please don't jump to conclusions and just wait and see how things will go. Or don't. I'm not forcing you to read this, especially if you don't like the story I'm going to tell.

Just know that things are going to be different and I hope it'll be in an interesting manner.
