Chapter 16
Videl woke up to a campfire in the forest, in a tent brought by a Capsule Corp hoi-poi, she then saw the terrifying figure of Gwen her back turned, she saw her there sitting by the light and she could detail her the back of the violet pigtails tied, white back of her armor, and above the butt, the base of and tip of her tail together tied in a kind of knot, and an idea popped inside her head after remembering some past conversations, thinking the saiyan was asleep she sneaked close behind her pulled some of her hair hooks from her braid, moved the tip of the tail a bit and began to try and cut the tail off from the base, it was impossible like cutting iron bars with plastic, then she felt some light taps turn her head back and saw the tip of the tail greeting her in movements then looked up and saw Gwen looking at her suspiciously and with a motherly gaze and Videl fake smiled like a kid then received a small whip to the left cheek something that hurt but nothing too exaggerated, like a slap Gwen then talked
-I don't really like sneak attacks and i didn't envision you trying one, and this as i told you is not coming off prince Trunks also decided so it won't happen- she scolded while rewrapping well the tail
-Geez that thing was like solid metal- Gwen chuckled to the comment
-Of course dear i would say accurately is tougher than metal due to the more than 60 years of training i've had with it- Videl cut her off with sheer surprise
-What?! You're more than 60?!- Gwen laughed and returned to her point
-It's only cuttable with an amazing blade or ki with ridiculous strength, and it would have to be in my base state because as Oozaru it would be quite literally uncuttable- she followed up
-Videl i've noticed your fear towards my Oozaru, it is justified, but the level of fear is insane, a warrior can not have that for sure-
-And what do you suggest?-
-Don't worry, i will make you face your fears but everything to it's due time for now let's go to sleep and rest.
Some days passed and Videl started training again the basics that Gwen presented and during that time she picked up the ki sensing and was able to begin to grasp flying, ki usage was getting tougher for her but she complied to every request of her master and this made her proud and happy. After almost a week from the initial trainings, Videl woke up they both greeted each other, and when it was training time, Gwen dressed in armor waved Videl off to tell her that would wait for the moment, she then went to another place in the island and Videl decided to follow her secretly, when videl got there and got a good look at her she saw her stood up then raising an arm and felt as something was generating in Gwen's palm she knew very well what it was, it was a Power ball, she knew it was transformation time for Gwen due to her condition, so then the ball was thrown to the sky and with a light grunt and hand movements it exploded generating the moon needed for Gwen, but just before the now well known process began, Videl interrupted loudly saying
-Wait wait wait!-
-Huh? Videl?- Gwen asked a bit confused
-We need to talk about something-.
Chapter 17
Gwen decided to agree to this but she look a bit rattled and in a hurry
-Ok Videl but better do it quickly, as you saw i have things to do-
-It's important, trust me but first let's get to the tent because i don't want you seeing that thing by accident and creating me a panic attack and full fear mode-, they entered the tent now closed without external exposure and Videl quickly asked
-When you transform, and are an Oozaru how does this feel mentally?- Gwen replied
-It feels like i'm driving a vehicle, and in my case got it completely mastered and got both hands at the wheel with expertise- Videl thought a bit, after that she smiled and proceeded to say
-Then this will be really effective for you, to remember you this was my main goal here, not training-
-So first you're gonna follow all of the moves i'm gonna show you practice them before transforming, and after that you're only actions while Oozaru must be what i'm gonna tell you- Videl proceeded to show her first and of most importance, breathing exercises, breath holding, and slow respiration, then came the neck moves combined with breathing, then came the muscle stretches and positions that resembled a lot yoga and some martial art warm up, arms, legs, knees, hands and feet everything was being meticulously exercised in a specific way Videl told her then Videl spoke
-Finally two things, first last movements but i don't have one so i can't help you with guidance there are tail movements, my suggestion it should be circular really slow moves and then a couple or three twitches and repetitions like i told you-
-After that finally comes massaging but you'll need help with that although you can do some and that should be enough, but if you have someone like me there are some other massages that would be benefit you but that later- Gwen blushed at this last part and thanked Videl for the help, she knew now what to do, got up, left the tent and practiced the exercises in base first for some minutes after getting used to them, with calmness as suggested by Videl, she engaged the light of the Power ball and transformed, the breathing and calmness helped in the process to not suffer some cramps or aches and it surprised her, then came the important part, put everything she was told to practice, and then it clicked, discovered a new part of her Oozaru form that didn't know existed, she thought she mastered, but it was just the surface, for the first time while in that form not throwing punches, kicks or blasts and it was the most effectiveness she had, Videl watched the scene from far away laughed at a giant gorilla exercising but at the same time abit terrified, and for quite some hours Gwen had her routine now, after she felt it was enough and practiced a little combat moves
and notices some unexpected improvements, knew it was time to rest for now, with little ki effort to maximize everything, she destroyed the Power ball and detransformed very with a very subtle style, and now excited went to the camping site to tell her new companion about this discovery and massive feats.
Chapter 18
After a period of two months and a half, Trunks and Mai have been searching for #18 everywhere in the surrounding areas of the north, west, south, east, northwest and northeast capital, looking for any clue, Trunks was the most affected out of this, as not only he was worried of that looming threat but wanted revenge for his master and mother, to find closure, Mai saw the trouble in his eyes and talked to him
-Trunks, what's the matter? I see you're disturbed-
-I don't know Mai, that android is a menace i saw the terror that they could enforce upon humans and the debt unpaid with my mother and Gohan is just-
-Trunks…- said Mai in comforting tone putting a had in is shoulder
-Please you only harm yourself doing this, we are doing all we can, you also killed the other one and made this one flee and not attack anyone, saving countless lives, don't feel like you've done anything, and something tells me we'll get the goal soon, trust me- smiling Trunks responded
-Yeah, thanks Mai i needed that uplift-, and just when they were flying by (one in a ship and Trunks flying) he noticed something odd, a weird looking cave in the mountain -
-a random hole in the mountain system we were passing by and also looking like it was excavated, yeah this is not normal- Trunks thought, he alerted Mai, they reunited near the structure, then they were at the entrance of a an odd thing, metal doors well sealed in a remote place like this now this was a sign of extreme alert, he now had some suspicions of what they were gonna find inside and what place this was, Trunks alerted Mai
-Mai! Step aside, i'm gonna blow the entrance off!- he proceeded to do so and his suspicions came reality, at the sight that was in front of him, a cut off head with a mechanical brain, and then some weird opened capsules titled "17" and "18", now he knew, this was the laboratory of the terrible Doctor Gero, the creator of the worse things that happened to humanity,
-T-Trunks! i i can't believe this!- said Mai loudly then covering her mouth out of fear
-NO! THERE IS NO WAY!- what was responsible for their reactions, another third capsule titled "16" at the top and it was closed and with something inside, they instantly both knew what it was, another killing android, Trunks wasted no time
-Mai! Get out of here and take those schematics from the table!- Mai agreed, there were some leftover documents in that lab, Trunks had the suspicion they were gonna be useful in the long run, she took them ran away fast and descended out of the mountain in a safe spot when Trunks turned super saiyan and he powered up even more to a bulkier second form, he called it "Ascended Super Saiyan", and powered up an immense ki blast in both of his hands and yelled
-This is for everything you've done to us over the years, be forever gooone!- he released with all his might the blast destroying everything (contrary to the main timeline of Dragon Ball, in which Trunks' efforts were in vain, here he pulverized the lab including #16).
Trunks tired descended to the ground, Mai quickly came to check on him, he of course waved her off as he told her he was fine
-You have done good again Trunks, you saved more lives killing another menace and demolishing the remnants of that terrible monster Gero-
-We did this, without your encouragement i would have given up, thank you- she also smiled and both looked at each other, and both were kinda getting a new feeling arising, something they didn't know how to tackle, but not long after Trunks got his head back in the game
-Now with more determination than ever we have to find #18, we don't know what more unknown dangers may come- said Trunks
-A-agreed! Let's go!- with bravery responded her teammate, and with that they were off, unknowing that again Trunks hit the nail again knowing a danger lied in the shadows, just that he didn't know that he had it right beside him…
Chapter 19
Around a month and half has passed since Trunks found the horrors of Gero's lab, we now return to Gwen and Videl, who a few weeks back concluded their training in the island continuously and just to keep up visited it every weekend, Gwen had grown in this period of over three months a lot, due to Videl's guidance she kept slowly unlocking dormant power from her Oozaru that also trickled down to her base form, she thought that now she was stronger than the Trunks who defeated the androids, and now was closing the gap with him, while Videl mastered ki sensing and flying and she could even throw some basic ki blasts, there was something still bugging in Gwen's mind. In a meetup during the week, Gwen told Videl to meet outside a small city in between the north and west capital, they met as agreed during the start of the evening
-Hi Gwen! What are we gonna do here?- Gwen didn't respond immediately, they looked at each other silently then Gwen spoke briefly and bit dry
-I got tired of cowardice, and tonight i'll make you choose for it- this confused Videl a bit, but Gwen was quick to act, raising her hand generating a familiar white ball of ki to Videl, she threw it to the sky then yelled very dry
-Burst open and mix!-
-Gwen wait! What are you doing?! What do you pretend?!-
-I'll make you choose dear, risking your life or letting them perish and covering your fear, you choose- after that Gwen got a good luck at the Power ball in the sky and transformed, letting out a roar, she stomped her way to the city and began punching buildings, kicking some and even blasting in the streets, with animalistic satisfaction it roared even deeper, Videl was paralyzed of fear and just cried some tears at the sight while standing still, hours of destruction passed, Gwen detransformed and returned to where Videl was at with a look of disappointment, Videl's gaze was one of emptiness and sorrow. After that Gwen attacked for a few nights multiple small towns, Videl went hid, hurt in emotional pain on repeat, until the new city under attack was a big one, the east sector of the west capital, Videl knew this place well, her birthplace and where she got raised by her defunct dad
-NO! She can't do that to this place i won't let her! Not this time- She stood in the Oozaru's way
-What are you gonna do little girl, cry all the way until i bend hahahaha- the ape with deep voice laughed, this enraged Videl she attacked the beast no matter the cost, Gwen smirked threw some punches and kicks Videl dodged, so she took it up a level and sent a mouth blast to the city, it destroyed almost all the east sector and some nearby plazas and buildings, this alerted the rest of the city to go there, but as soon this happened videl's fury and desperation peaked and sent a giant blast to the ball in the sky and destroyed it, this surprised Gwen and she grinned while returning to base form, she got close to a sobbing Videl to congratulate and she exploded
-NO! go away murderer! All of that façade with the androids for you to do this!
-Videl i-
-NO! GET OUT NOW!
-Videl-
-NO i just said to you-
-VIDEL STOP!- for the first time here Gwen was pissed
-You had an irrational fear to a superior foe and had to take it away from you and look! But you're gonna make a tantrum now because i destroyed a few evacuated buildings- Videl turned around surprised and mouth to the floor
-Yes i sent those people off, nobody died, kami!- after some silence, Videl still responded sad
-I'm sorry but you still destroyed my birthplace and childhood place where my dead dad raised me- Videl said while sniffing, shocked Gwen responded quickly
-Oh my Videl, dear just sorry, i didn't know let's visit him tomorrow shall we- while putting a hand on Videl's shoulder she nodded.
So they did that the day after, visited the resting place of Hercule Satan, the fallen champion, instead of sadness, the look on their faces was one of peace with smiles.
Chapter 20
A week had passed since the Videl fear tests, and now she came up to Gwen asking from the community's favor (as they didn't know it was Gwen's giant ape that destroyed everything), Videl knew the truth, so without detailing she pressured Gwen to help, and being guilty she felt morally obliged to do so, and starting from West capital's east sector, they met up there.
-Good to see you Gwen, and i see you brought what i asked-
-May i ask, why you asked for this capsules and my armor specifically?- Videl chuckled to this and they continued forward, when they arrived at the site, it had machinery and some crew, Gwen fiddled with one of her big ringlet pigtails, and Videl commented
-Good thing fur covers that hair-
-What do you mean by?... Don't tell me- she put two plus two together, and Videl now knowing they were aligned said
-Yas, now please create one of those Power balls and transform if you can-
-You have to be insane, with these people around?-
-Yes they have all been informed of what you'll do and also as you see we lack machinery and strength and is an unorthodox method of compensating and getting this job done, as well aaas i know the truth and you don't want me to tellll…- Gwen sighed defeated and complied just saying before starting
-If i squish a worker is on you though- Videl giggled at this, and then it started she raised her hand seconds after a ball making noises appeared
-If i'm gonna work like this here better for all you to know, this in my hand is a Power ball, when i throw it to the sky earth will have a full moon temporarily- She acted and did what she said throwing it opening the right palm and closing it tight with a resounding -HA!- (doing subtle to not hurt anyone), the ball expanded in the sky formed a big white ball and Gwen ended saying
-Now with that i just look at this moon and you'll have what you need- She got a good eye and once again started the process, fur covering everywhere, every extremity growing in size, as well as a snout and sharp teeth, when it all ended it roared, some got a little scared but Videl calmed them down and told everyone under control
-And now what do you want me to do?- asked the giant ape
-Now you'll work as heavy helping force, bringing up workers but also taking the heaviest and toughest parts of the buildings and rebuilding with this- Videl popped a hoi-poi capsule and expandable tools now appeared, this kinda surprised Gwen but also saw it coming
-What do i gain from this?- she also asked
-First you shouldn't get any reward from crushing this place and second, you will benefit with extended periods of transformation, you will try to hold the form for days or extending it-
-Mmm, i do struggle with my Oozaru periods after twelve hours, ok- and just like that they got to work, Gwen started lifting heavy stuff, putting materials into place, lifting workers, aka being used as an elevator (this kinda embarrassed her), although like the non traditional training Videl did with her this helped her too in the mental department and like Videl said energy retention to hold the form longer. After many hours of work day she trembled involuntarily and returned to her normal form
-I guess i couldn't hold it any longer, oh well- said gasping for air and sweating, but when thought it was over, she felt a sting in her arm, after reacting by reflex she noticed it was Videl who injected her with something from one of the capsules, she felt re-energetic and her body rolling, -Very clever Videl injecting adrenaline to keep me going, clever- she said to herself, without a word looked again to the sky and transformed back again, that will be her final practice and improvements.
