"Shut. Up."
The odd lizard yokai grumbled rather angrily; gritting his fangs as he stood tense with his back against the red brick wall beside the holding cell. Arms crossed and lengthy tail flicking occasionally in irritation.
"What? All I'm saying is that you could do with a little color."
Leonardo insisted with a smirk, intent on annoying his current captor as he awaited an opportunity to escape; or a rescue party. He was certain that his brother's would have noticed his absence by now.
Though the red eared slider was not positive of how long it had been since he had left the lair, he did know it had to have been several hours by that point. The flamboyant turtle had intended to visit one of his few friends that morning, maybe he could have helped around the restaurant for an hour or so, before returning home to where his brothers would presumably be waiting. However, things did not go according to plan in the slightest.
Upon stepping out of the portal he had created in the lair's kitchen and into the alleyway behind Senior Huso's restaurant, he found himself immediately under attack once it had closed. Someone grasping his swords in their scaled hands and ripping them right from his own whilst another individual rushed him from behind and shoved him off of his feet and onto the ground. The first party member taking advantage of his surprise to strike him hard over the head with their long but very sturdy tail. Of course, as his uncanny misfortune would have it, this resulted in the blue clad teenager falling unconscious and waking up in a fairly dark and compact holding cell. Uncertain of how long he had been insensible, not knowing what had happened to his swords, and completely lost on where he had been brought to. Only knowing that the attack had been planned; it was far too fast to be one of opportunity.
"Oh I know, you should totally dye your whiskers orange- like bright orange!"
Leonardo exclaimed with an exaggerated and stretched out, overzealous tone of voice.
"I said shut up!"
The gray scaled yokai, who reminded Leonardo of a Chinese dragon with those two long whiskers, snapped finally. Standing upright from the wall beside the cell door and reaching into his black leather jacket pocket for a set of sturdy keys.
'Easy as cake, just gotta watch out for that tail.'
Leonardo smirked and shuffled back across the smooth concrete floor towards the back wall of his holding cell. Reminding himself to be wary of the extra limb that had knocked him out prior.
The older man yanked the metal barred door open, letting it swing and clang loudly against the wall. The sound echoing out into the dimly lit, almost subway tunnel-esk, hallway. Which Leonardo had previously noted was lined with several more holding cells, luckily empty, along both walls; small circular pipe openings neatly spaced out along the bottom of the red brick walls. The lengthy lizard yokai was two paces into the cell when his patience ran out and he reached abruptly towards the smaller mutant, intending to cause some sort of harm clearly. However Leonardo was much quicker to react this time. The blue clad teenager stepping to one side whilst wrapping both of his arms around one of the man's; twisting his body and using the other's momentum against him to turn and shove the lizard front first into the wall. The yokai regained his senses swiftly though and swung his tail about in the red eared slider's direction sharply. The young mutant being forced to release his hold on the yokai's arm in order to leap over the incoming spare limb; then ducking and rolling beneath a punch that had been aimed directly at his face when the man had the chance to spin around away from the wall.
"Woah-oh- You almost had me there!"
Leonardo taunted, a sly smile taking shape as he watched the older individual stumble forwards and become off balance. Leaping up from his crouched position and nailing a firm kick to the side of the yokai's head with enough force to make them fall to the other side.
"Oo- youch."
The flamboyant turtle did wince just a little in some sort of sympathy though when the other fell straight into the wall; his head smacking against the bricks with a grunt escaping the other's fanged maw before they slumped to the ground in an unconscious heap.
"Well that was unintentional, but works out for me!"
The blue clad teenager grinned somewhat and speedily exited the cell, shutting and blocking the barred door via the keys that had been left in the lock. Of course tossing them aside so the lizard man could not get out upon waking up; without assistance at least.
"Tossing away your only tool of escape should you be recaptured? Foolish."
A familiar voice suddenly spoke up from somewhere behind the young mutant, a voice that made his skin prickle. Leonardo spinning on his heels in alarm before steadying his nerves and frowning in the direction of the newly present threat.
"Then again, what else did I expect? You had such potential, but it was all thrown away by that slobish rat."
Baron Draxum sneered as he walked at a calm pace down the long brick hall, hooves clicking against the smooth concrete floor eerily.
"Slobish? Uncalled for and also- Ugh! I should have known you were behind this, sheep man."
Leonardo frowned at the insult then groaned aloud with annoyance in his tone, though remained poised to strike or flee depending on his needs.
"What is it this time? Another doomed to fail attempt to convince my family to join you? Yeah because that ever works."
The red eared slider couldn't quite help himself when he goaded his enemy and rolled his eyes out of habit; and realized as he did so that the only entrance and exit out of this place was a set of large elevator doors. Behind the baron.
'Fuck- he's in the way!'
Leonardo didn't have time to formulate a plan though, yelping in surprise when he felt some sort of rope wrap around one of his ankles tightly then yank him skywards.
The red eared slider cringed when his shell abruptly slammed against part of the brick wall, a small piece of his mind registering the cracking sound of the said bricks and the short outcry that slipped past his lips; but he snapped his mouth shut as he fell back towards the ground. Barely managing to regain his focus and shift his weight in time to plant his feet first onto the ground. Slipping slightly as he did so due to the strong red vine firmly wrapped around his lower leg that was coming from one of the pipe entrances in the wall whilst he placed one hand onto the aforementioned surface to help his balance. A hardened stare taking shape and moving from the vine to the looming yokai's direction afterwards as the man still rather casually approached. Only stopping once he stood a few feet from Leonardo, the distance not nearly enough to keep him from physically reaching the smaller mutant.
"Too busy running your mouth to even notice when the enemy gains an advantage? Pathetic."
The powerful yokai smirked somewhat as he stood tall above the blue clad teenager, who now hesitated in his next actions.
"But to answer your earlier question. No. I'm not trying to convince you of anything."
Baron Draxum stated with the sneaky side smile still in place upon his face.
"What do you want then?"
The blue clad teenager practically growled under his breath as he steadied his stance, fists raised slightly for the undoubtedly incoming fight. That he was probably going to lose.
'Don't think about that-'
Leonardo chased away that last thought and instead focused on trying to find a weak point on his enemy. Literally anything would be great, he decided.
"I want back what I gave to you, and to your so-called brothers. The power coursing through your veins, the gifts you possess because of me. I'm taking those back."
The yokai stated as he leaned down closer to Leonardo's level, the calculating stare that the man gave him sent chills through the young mutant's blood.
"Oh yeah? How you gonna do that, sheep man?"
Leo questioned with a newly formed smirk; feigning some sort of confidence as if to imply that the man could not do that so easily. Tensing and freezing in his tracks momentarily however when the baron extended an arm almost too quickly to see and grasped the blue clad teenager's entire arm nearly in one clawed hand.
"You'll see soon enough. Now, you have a choice though."
Baron Draxum leered with a slight chuckle under his breath. Never looking away from the smaller mutant's eyes even as the other's gaze did flit away for just a second when he felt the red vine untangle from around his lower leg.
"You may follow along willingly. Or, I can thrash you around this prison hall and drag what's left of you with me."
The menacing yokai threatened darkly, completely serious and Leonardo knew as such given his past experiences with the man.
'Okay- take a breath. You got this- calm down. I'm sure they'll be here soon…Can't exactly make a grand escape if you're a bloody mess.'
Leonardo swallowed down his hastily rising anxieties, steadily taking a breath or two to slow his rapidfire heart rate and trying to remind himself that his brother's would surely be here soon. Then, he met the baron's gaze unwaveringly despite his slowly relaxing posture; as if to display some sort of defiance whilst he also became compliant…temporarily.
