It had been two months since Jasmine 'Jazz' Dinsmoore had moved to Paris with her family. Despite being akumatized her first week, she was fitting in very well with her new friends. Fortunately, she hadn't really done too much damage when she was akumatized into Earworm, and for the first time since Hawkmoth made his appearance, many people had liked seeing her use her powers, which consisted of putting songs in people's heads, even though it drove the victims crazy, everyone around them could hear the music, which they actually enjoyed. They had even downloaded the songs she used so they could listen to them any time they wanted. And following their recovery, the victims of the akuma got to fully enjoy the songs as well. However, Jazz had promised herself that this wouldn't happen to her again, and she offered to use her favorite songs to help people calm down so they wouldn't be akumatized. Those she helped enjoyed the different slow songs and ballads she let them listen to, especially Mr. Ramier, who she had mentioned when she was akumatized and referred to as Mr. Birdbrain, instead of Mr. Pigeon. Fortunately, he didn't hold the comments against her. When she and her parents met him, they saw that he was just a nice person who trained and enjoyed the company of pigeons. Even Jazz's parents tried to help him in their own way. When Officer Roger Raincomprix tried to stop Mr. Ramier from feeding the pigeons, her father, who was also named Roger, would help Mr. Ramier get away by distracting Officer Roger with talks about classic cars, which both men enjoyed. The officer would pretend to be annoyed at this, but he'd always let him off with a warning. Her mother, Nancy, had even given Mr. Ramier the contact information for one of her friends back home in the States, and after a few days of emailing each other, they started video chatting about their shared love of birds. She had even sent him a few DVDs of different birds so he could still see them during bad weather. It wasn't the same as interacting with them, but he enjoyed seeing and learning about the different species. The music also helped keep people calm for another reason. Hawkmoth had gotten more powerful recently, and was now calling himself Shadowmoth.

One day, Jazz decided to stay at school for the lunch period, sitting with her friends under the trees, and they were talking about some of the things they'd done before she came. Jazz smiled when Marinette showed her the Clara Nightingale video that she, Adrien, their friends, and several Parisians had all danced in, after the singer had been saved after being akumatized into Frightningale.

"That's one of the coolest videos I've ever seen! And you guys say Clara Nightingale rhymes with every sentence?" Jazz asked. "I've seen a few of her other videos, and they're really good, and I especially like the one I saw all of you guys in just now, but she can't possibly rhyme everything!"

"Oh yes she can!" Alya smirked.

"Okay then," Jazz smirked back, "If she can find a rhyme for the words purple and orange, then I'll believe you!"

"The two words no writer can ever find rhymes for! That's cold, Jazz," Nathaniel smirked as Marc clutched his heart in mock distress and collapsed on his lap. "And thanks a lot, you broke my boyfriend!"

"Nath, if there's one thing that fairy tales have taught us, it's that true love's kiss revives victims of fainting spells…and any other spells for that matter," Jazz teased him. "So just play kissy-face with Marc, and he'll be just fine!"

Nathaniel rolled his eyes, but he kissed Marc's forehead.

Marc grinned as he sat up. "Oh, my big strong hero!" he said as he planted a kiss on Nathaniel over whoops and clapping.

"Now why couldn't you kiss me like that, Adrien?" they heard the voice they never wanted to hear again. Everyone turned, and to their immense displeasure, they saw none other than Lila Rossi coming toward them, just as fresh and bubbly as she always was when she came back from her 'trips'.

"Probably because nobody likes you," Nino growled as everyone made a protective circle around Adrien to keep Lila away from him.

"Nino, why would you say something like that?" Lila whined, immediately turning on the crocodile tears.

"Uh, because it's true?" Nino snapped.

"Not that you'd comprehend the concept of what truth even is," Max muttered.

"What are you even doing here, Liar—I mean, Lie-la?" Jazz asked. "Last time I heard, you were going to be in some girls' school in Italy that your grandma was in charge of!"

"And I wondered why it was so calm and peaceful around here, with the exception of the occasional akuma attack," Marinette murmured to Alya. "Oh, wait. It was because Lie-la wasn't here to bully me!"

"That was the plan, but there was a fire there," Lila sighed dramatically, ignoring the whispered conversation. "So, I convinced my mother and my dear sweet Nonna Ginevra to let me come back here!"

When they heard that, everyone took out their phones to try and confirm this. "She's…right…" Alya muttered a few minutes later. "There was an electrical fire at the school two weeks ago, since the wiring was really old, so the students had to be taken out temporarily, and while some of them are going to other places for the time being, others are going to be homeschooled until the problem's fixed."

"That is a legitimate reason, I guess, but do you guys think Lila could have started the fire herself?" Jazz whispered.

"There's a 45% chance that she did, but as Alya stated, the wiring in the building was old, so it probably malfunctioned naturally," Max whispered back.

"I guess that makes sense, but Lila couldn't have gone someplace else in Italy as well…why?" Alix asked.

"I just couldn't stay away from all my wonderful friends! Mr. Damocles even agreed to give me a second chance!" Lila simpered. "And I've got so many marvelous new stories just dying to be shared on your blog, Alya!"

"Nice try, Lila, but all of my blogs, especially my new one, are now, and forever more, off limits to you," Alya growled. "I learned my lesson from the Ladyblog, and I'm never making the mistake of going to you for stories again! I also finally finished all my hours of community service, and I just finished reimbursing Marinette for everything we, but mainly you and I, made her do!"

"And I could have sworn that my dad and Mr. Agreste had you served with restraining orders, so you can't be near me or Adrien," Jazz added, taking her phone out again. "All it'll take is one call to my dad, and you'll be in so much legal trouble that your head'll spin!" To prove her point, she held up her phone and imitated Chloe as she pretended to whine, "DADDY! Lie-la Rossi's back and she's in clear violation of the restraining orders you and Mr. Agreste slapped her with!"

"Ridiculous! Utterly ridiculous!" Chloe pouted over the group's laughter.

Despite that, Lila sighed dramatically. "I'm going to be on the other side of Miss Bustier's classroom, but I'm still up front because my tinnitus is acting up again. So unfortunately, you, Mari-trash, and Adrien will be away from me."

"Stupid insults against me, and phony medical conditions aside, she's still going to be in Miss Bustier's class with us instead of someplace far away…why?" Marinette asked, turning her attention away from Lila.

"You're 100% correct, Marinette," Max agreed. "Since Lila has a restraining order, we'd all think that it's only logical that she be moved to another class. However, since she's so far behind academically in Miss Bustier's class, she can't move someplace else. And the curriculum is different in each of the other classes, so if any of us were to move, we'd either be behind or ahead, depending on the subject material."

"And it's too late to be transferred to a different class anyway," Adrien muttered after he put his phone away after trying to explain the situation to Gabriel and Nathalie, actually going so far as to plead with them not to take him out of school, promising that he'd give Nathalie hourly updates on what went on during the day, and promising to contact his bodyguard as soon as possible if anything was to happen to him because of Lila. "It's halfway through the year already, so no matter what Father and Nathalie say, we're stuck with Lila, but thankfully, I'm still allowed to keep going to school."

"We'll be your bodyguards here, Adrien!" Kim grinned.

"Great; he'll have another monkey man for his bodyguard," Alix whispered.

Adrien smirked at the subtle reference to the Gorilla, knowing that Kim's name in Miss Bustier's class chat really was Monkey Man. "Thanks, Kim, but thankfully, like Lila said, we'll be separated in class, as well as in the hallways and cafeteria, and the cameras are fixed now, so if she tries to pull anything, the cameras will catch her in the act. But if you want, you can be my bodyguards during school hours."

"We were happy to help!" Max smiled over at Markov. "And Marinette, I love the satchel bag you made to thank us for fixing the cameras!" He held up the bag on his shoulder, which had the words 'I for one welcome our new AI overlords' on the front, around a picture of Markov. "Speaking of which, Jasmine, where did you get the idea for the message on the front? I recall that you said that to Markov when I introduced you to him, but the origin escapes me."

"A game show from back home," Jazz explained. "These two guys competed on a quiz show against an actual computer, and during the final round, this one guy wrote, along with the correct answer, 'I for one welcome our new computer overlords!"'

"And the cartoon, right?" Kim asked, "Only they said insect instead of computer!"

"Guys, you'd better stop while you're ahead," Marinette giggled, looking over at Max and recognizing the look on his face. "Max has that look in his eye that means he's getting inspiration for a new invention!"

"And I wouldn't be surprised if it's really for an army of AI robots!" Adrien smirked.

"Guys, see what you started?" Alya was cracking up as she pointed at Max, who was grinning maniacally and had his fingers steepled.

"So may ideas for world-dominating robots, so little time!" Max grinned.

"Just make sure you send them after Hawkmoth first, then Lila, or Lila first then Hawkmoth, then you can do whatever your demented little heart desires with them!" Jazz agreed.

"Markov, are you pondering what I'm pondering?" Kim smirked, trying to lower his voice into an imitation of the Brain.

"I think so, Max, but as a certain fashion designer should know, orange clothes and sausage hair do not, and never will mix!" Adrien smirked.

"Adrien, dude, stop talking about her!" Nino gasped, covering Adrien's mouth, and looking around in mock horror.

"To paraphrase what someone said on another old cartoon, 'Frost and fire, ice and fear, say her name and she'll appear!'" Jazz agreed.

"I'm right here, you know!" Lila pouted.

"And don't we know it," Marinette grumbled.

"At least Lie-la can't brag about the artists I'm more familiar with, or say she inspired them to write the songs, since they were around before she was even born," Jazz tried to sound optimistic. "Because, for example, if she was born in the 1970s, she should have graduated Francois Dupont years ago!"

"Speaking of those older artists, Jazz, my little bro Chris loved the mix tape of those Gordon Lightfoot songs we made for him!" Nino smiled. "I told you my grandma used to sing slow ballad songs to us when we were little, and she loved the ones you played for her!"

"Luka liked that Redwood Hill song, and he played it on his violin during Kitty Section's last concert!" Juleka mumbled.

"I remember that; Alya recorded you guys playing it and uploaded it to the school's website and one of her blogs once her grounding was over," Jazz agreed, but then she smirked. "And I suppose that time I was your…dare I say it, Inspiration Lady?"

"Ugh…music puns!" Marinette groaned, unaware that Adrien was writing that down. "But I remember you playing that song to help someone calm down, Jazz, and it's lucky for you that I liked it and downloaded it myself! And I also heard Papa singing that to Maman yesterday!"

"But I'm the one that inspires people!" Lila protested. "I've not just inspired songs to be written about me, but I've danced with all the great artists, too! XY, Jagged Stone, Clara Nightingale…I even went to America and danced in the new video for LMFAO!"

Jazz rolled her eyes and counted on her fingers, giving an opinion for each of the artists Lila mentioned. "X-why bother with that no-name one-hit wonder? Jagged Stone and Clara Nightingale know talent when they see it, and they actually want good dancers in their videos, something you most definitely are not…and IDGARA that you danced with LMFAO!"

"Nice one, Jazz!" Alix smirked.

"Yes, you're absolutely hysterical," Lila scoffed. "I'll have to introduce you to some of the writers I know so you can actually learn something!"

"I don't care if you claim to know every Tom, Dick, and Barry in the known universe! I'm good with words on my own without you and your nonexistent connections!" Jazz snapped.

"Jasmine, I hate to interrupt you, but the phrase you're trying to reference is 'every Tom, Dick, and Harry', not Barry," Markov spoke up.

Jazz glanced at Markov, then returned her glare to Lila. "Technically you're right, Markov, but Tom, Dick, and Barry are three of my cousins on my mom's side of the family, while Harry's on my dad's side."

"How about that, she does know Tom, Dick, and Harry!" Marc smirked as he wrote that down.

"Like I said, she's almost as good as Chat Noir when it comes to puns," Nino smirked.

They were cut off when they saw a certain figure across the street, coming up to Marinette's family's bakery. "Hold that thought, guys," Marinette took charge. "Let's get Andre's ice cream first, and we'll continue disproving Lie-la's lies when we get back!"

***LBCNLBCNLBCN***

A while later, everyone was enjoying the ice cream they got from Andre, and their conversations started up again.

"Marinette, I wanted to say thanks again for helping me catch up with the literature homework we had in Bustier's class," Adrien smiled at Marinette as he sat down next to her. "Father's latest photoshoot lasted longer than he would have liked because of some unexpected technical problems, and I didn't have time to finish the assignment before I went to bed."

"I was happy to help, Adrien," Marinette focused on Adrien's strawberry-chocolate chip/blueberry/blackberry ice cream so she could talk without stammering. "Remember, I offered to help tutor you or catch up if your other lessons overlapped a scheduled study session."

"And it was nice of you to invite me to it too," Jazz agreed, recalling how she had told Adrien about her interest in photography, and he had invited her to the photo shoot to shadow Vincent, and to bring one of her photo albums with her so he could see what she did. "Signor Vincent said he liked the pictures I took of the 'Trick or Treat parade' from my mom's old college, and the date auction one of the sororities held. He said I did a good job despite the not-so-great lighting, and offered to let me come to your other shoots so he can give me some lessons. Of course, I'll have to let my uncle Mike know about this, since he taught me about photography, and let him listen in via video call to what Vincent teaches me, but maybe he can pick up some new techniques too!"

"Those pictures you took were so cute!" Rose smiled, recalling how Jazz had shown her, Juleka, and Mylene some of her photo albums when they came to visit. "We should do something like that here!"

"A trick or treat parade sounds like fun," Marinette agreed, "We can all dress up and take the kids around the school, which everyone can decorate, Jazz can take pictures, and we can post everything on the school website!"

"Or any other people can take pictures, not just me. But we can do what I did at the end of the event," Jazz added as Marinette started writing down her ideas, "When I was finished taking pictures, I had them developed the next day, then Mom and I had tables set up in the quad so anyone who brought their kids or younger family members to the events could get the pictures. I paid for developing the pictures, and I just gave them to the people when they recognized their kids or younger family members. But here, we can probably get tables set up in the cafeteria or courtyard."

"And we should do a date auction!" Lila invited herself into the conversation. "People can pay to date us!"

"First, maybe, but according to the rules that I remember, if you're participating in the auction, you can't bid on anyone, even if nobody picks you and you go to the 'no bid' corner," Jazz smirked as Lila's expression deflated and Adrien looked relieved at the news. "Second, we'd have to get everyone's parents' permission to do that."

"I know you took pictures for it, Jazz, but did you go up too?" Alya asked.

"Yes I did," Jazz smirked. "Best twenty bucks my dad ever spent, and he took me and my mom, who was acting as our chaperone, to one of the best restaurants in town!"

"That sounds like an interesting idea for Valentines' Day or any dances that come up, Jazz," Marinette agreed, having to raise her voice a little since everyone except Lila was cracking up. "But we'd still have to get permission from Mr. Damocles."

"Well, we can use these ideas for future fundraising ideas and go from there," Jazz agreed. "Anyway, there's lots of time to do all this stuff."

"And time for me to get Adrien all to myself!" Lila spoke up. "You don't have to worry about him, Marinette, you just stay home and do whatever it is you do, and I'll make sure that Jasmine gets plenty of pictures of him and me!" She punctuated her sentence by grabbing Adrien's arm, pulling him close, and kissing him on the cheek. "And Jasmine, how nice of you to get a picture of it! Send it to me!" she added when she saw Jazz get a picture of it. However, she didn't know that Jazz had sent it to her father with the caption 'Lila harassing Adrien. Pass it on to Mr. Agreste'.

"Not cool, Lila!" Nino glared at her as Marinette ran off.

"And sorry, I just deleted it after I sent it to someone else," Jazz added. "But don't worry; it'll get the attention it deserves soon enough!"

"Oh, thank you! Even though Alya won't post it on her blog, I can still have you put it up where people can see it!" Lila smiled, but she frowned as Adrien accepted a wet wipe from Chloe and Sabrina and scrubbed his cheek.

"Yeah…not going to happen. And in any case, I don't have your number, and I don't want it either, so I can't send it to you. Be right back…" Jazz frowned as she walked away.

"No matter," Lila paused, then she spun around, "I'll still have the best outfit out of everyone when we get out pictures taken!" She smiled as Jazz came back a short time later. "Jasmine, why don't you get a picture of me in my new dress? It's a Gabriel original, given to me by Gabriel Agreste himself!"

Jazz looked the Italian liar and her white dress over, all the while holding a large chocolate, orange, and raspberry ice cream that she'd just gotten from Andre. "I will in a minute, but really, Lila, that new outfit that Mr. Agreste gave you is one of his best yet! It's so pretty, and stylish, and…I bet it goes with just about anything!"

Lila scoffed. "Well, of course it —aaaaaahhhhh!" She suddenly screamed as Jazz smashed her ice cream into her blouse and smeared it all over her while Alya recorded her. When Jazz backed away with a smile a minute later, Lila screamed, "Jasmine, you're an even bigger freak than Marinette!"

"Why, yes, yes we are," Jazz said proudly, using her ice cream coated hands to muss Lila's hair and get the ice cream off of them, then she glared at her. "But you know what? We might eventually grow out of that, but you? You will never stop being a bitch!"

Recognizing what Jazz was doing in re-enacting a scene from one of Chloe's favorite movies that he actually liked, Adrien started chanting, "Lila got coned! Lila got coned!"

"Lila got coned! Lila got coned!" everyone joined in.

"Well done, Dinsmoore!" Chloe agreed.

"Jasmine!" Lila whined.

"Bye-eee!" Jazz sang as she turned away.

"You're not going anywhere! Now you're in for it!" Lila grabbed her arm when she saw two people come up. "Ms. Mendeleiev! Mr. Damocles! Jasmine attacked me!"

"No she didn't, sir, Jazz tripped over something, bumped into Lila, and Lila got ice cream on her dress because of it. It was an accident," Adrien spoke up.

"That's right; come on, dudette, let's get some more ice cream, and get one for Marinette too," Nino agreed as he and Adrien pulled Jazz free of Lila.

Mr. Damocles was about to say something, but he saw Chloe holding her phone out and heard, "DADDY! Mr. Damocles is going to punish someone because they were clumsy and caused an utterly ridiculous accident! And this time it wasn't Dupain-Cheng who caused it!"

"Now, Miss Bourgeois, there's no need to bring the mayor into this. I didn't see anything, Miss Rossi; I just came out since I thought there was an akuma because of all the screaming," Mr. Damocles quickly turned away from her.

"And in any case, he and I were in a very important meeting," Ms. Mendeleiev added, looking Lila over, then turning her back on her. "Send it out for dry cleaning."

"And that's strange; my phone wasn't even on just now," Chloe smirked when they left.

***LBCNLBCNLBCN***

Jazz found Marinette in the art room, trying to calm down as she furiously worked on one of her designs. "Marinette? Are you okay?"

"Jazz!" Marinette smiled a little. Her smile widened as she learned about what happened to Lila. "Okay, first, I love that movie! Second, I can't believe I actually missed you re-enacting it!"

"Don't worry, Marinette, if I know Alya, and I do, I'm fairly certain that she recorded it, and by the end of the day today, it'll be uploaded onto one, if not all, of her many blogs, so you can see it whenever you want," Jazz assured her.

"That's great," Marinette grinned, but soon her smile faded into a look of frustration. "But do you mind if I vent a little about this?"

"Go ahead," Jazz smirked a little as she went over to the door and closed it so nobody would hear Marinette's upcoming rant. "I've heard it all before, and I'm sorry if I made you upset about my ideas. You don't have to use them if you don't want to."

"Thanks, Jazz, and don't worry; you didn't. Some of them really sounded good, and we all know who's really to blame," Marinette smiled. She waited until Jazz had moved back over to the window, so she wouldn't be too bothered by the noise, then took a deep breath, and started screaming.

***LBCNLBCNLBCN***

In his lair, Shadowmoth was actually doing an internal victory dance as he sensed Marinette's emotions. "At last! At long last! Marinette Dupain-Cheng is finally going to be the target of my akumas! With her by my side, I'll finally get Ladybug and Chat Noir's Miraculous!" With that thought in mind, he summoned a butterfly, infusing it with his dark energy. "Fly away, my little akuma, and evilize her!"

***LBCNLBCNLBCN***

As Marinette ranted, Jazz took it upon herself to look out for akumas. She knew from firsthand experience that being akumatized was not fun, even though Chat Noir himself had told her that she was the most fun akuma he and Ladybug had ever faced. However, she had a feeling that if Marinette got akumatized, the fight between Ladybug, Chat Noir, and whoever or whatever Marinette got akumatized into wouldn't be anywhere near as entertaining. Still, she thought, it couldn't hurt to ask if she could help them in the fight if that happened, since she'd keep an eye out for where the akuma landed on Marinette…and how cool would it be to use a miraculous just like them!

As she saw the butterfly come in through a window that was open and get close to them, Jazz shook her head, getting back to the situation at hand, at the same time cursing herself for not noticing the window or closing it, then blurted out the first thing that came to her mind. "Marinette, hold that thought for a minute and talk to me!"

"Talk to you?" Marinette repeated as she paused mid-scream, "About what?"

Jazz racked her brains, trying to recall something the class always talked about. "We talked about Clara Nightingale earlier, so how about…Jagged Stone!" she decided at last. "Yes, I know I'm not crazy about him since he's 'allergic' to cats," she put air quotes around 'allergic', since she loved cats, had one herself, and thought that the very idea of someone being allergic to cats was ludicrous, not to mention all in their heads! "But despite that, his music's pretty good. But anyway, you say you designed an album cover for him, right? And you're his actual honest-to-gosh personal designer?"

"Yes…" Marinette agreed, smiling a little as she heard the description, and knowing that Jagged's allergy to cats, which he'd had since he was a child, was a touchy subject with Jazz, so it was a surprise that she even mentioned it. "I have him on speed dial, we talk every day, and he even insists that I call him -are you ready? - Uncle Jagged!"

"Okay!" Jazz grinned to herself that her plan seemed to be working. "Here's the thing: I didn't know who he was at the time, but my cousin Liz, she's a few years older than me, and she got a new job in Washington State around the time that my parents and I were getting ready to move here, hence my shirt and hat with the school she attends part time that she sent me," she smirked and struck a model-like pose in the gray Central Washington University shirt and tan cap she was wearing that Liz had sent her the day after she was akumatized, "but to get back on track, Liz discovered Jagged Stone's music two years ago, she became a huge fan, and she has a few of his albums, but I'm not sure if she has the one with the cover you told me about that you designed…what was it called again…?"

"Rock Giant," Marinette supplied. "I even designed a special scent sticker for it that smells like sweat and leather. And don't worry, it's not super strong, so you won't be overwhelmed by it." She knew Jazz was sensitive to smells, but the scent sticker didn't have a powerful aroma, so Jazz could probably be all right with it.

"That's good," Jazz agreed. "And you designed his Eiffel Tower glasses as well, right? Are they on that website you told me about that you're designing for your fashions?"

"No, but I can make a pair for her and send them to her," Marinette replied.

"That would be great. Liz has a birthday coming up, and I still need to find her something. And since you say you can make something like that, I will pay you handsomely for them," Jazz finally managed to get a giggle out of Marinette, but the lighthearted mood didn't last long. She saw the akuma land on Marinette's purse. "Ohhh…fffffuuuuudddge…"

At that moment, Marinette felt the unwelcome sensation of a butterfly mask over her eyes, and heard a severely unwanted voice in her head. "Marionette, I am Shadowmoth…"

As Shadowmoth continued speaking to her, Marinette tried as hard as she could to ignore his words. If she was akumatized, who would help Chat Noir? Who could purify the akumas and undo the damage she caused if she did give in to him? And what about Tikki?! What would happen to her?! Unfortunately, the more she thought about everything, the more she felt her willpower cracking and her thoughts starting to spiral, and she knew she had to do something immediately. As Shadowmoth kept speaking, she looked around, and in a few moments, her eyes locked on Jazz, and her vision, despite being obstructed by the purple butterfly mask, changed into gray with pink polka dots, highlighting her friend. She immediately removed her earrings, grabbed Jazz's hand and thrust them into it, closing her fingers around them.

"Marinette?" Jazz gasped.

"I accept," Marinette murmured, beginning the akumatization process. Then before the bubbles encased her completely, she shouted, "Run, Jazz!"

"Don't worry, I'll help you," Jazz promised.

Author's Notes

Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Chat Noir is not mine.

Thanks to Niagara14301 for helping me with some details in the chapter.

Jazz, Roger, and Nancy Dinsmoore are my own characters.

In my last story, I said that the cameras, which had been damaged since Stoneheart, had been fixed, and Marinette gave Max something to thank him.

Even though we now know her name is Olga, in my stories, for consistency, Ms. Mendeleiev will keep the name Danica.

The game show that Max and Jazz were talking about, when discussing the 'I for one welcome our new AI overlords' quote, was Jeopardy!, in which Ken Jennings and Brad Rutter competed against the supercomputer Watson.

Pinky and the Brain is not mine.

'Frost and fire, ice and fear, say her name and she'll appear!' is based on a quote from the old cartoon Peter Pan and the Pirates.

Redwood Hill by Gordon Lightfoot is not mine.

Inspiration Lady by Gordon Lightfoot is not mine.

Jazz, Lila, Adrien, and Ms. Mendeleiev's dialog was from The Princess Diaries where Lana got coned.

This story takes place a month or so after the events of Miracle Queen, so Hawkmoth would be calling himself Shadowmoth now.

Jazz's cousin Liz is an original character of mine.

Jazz's "Oh fudge" quote is from A Christmas Story. (And yes, Jazz said 'fudge.' She did not say THE word, the big one, the queen-mother of dirty words. She did not say the F-dash-dash-dash word!)

I have read several stories about Marinette becoming Princess Justice, but I remember one or two where she becomes an akuma named Marionette (and her powers will go into detail in the next chapter).
