Born to nothing, an orphan from the day of the Kyuubi attack, Mika strives from the beginning to become something amazing. To have a name, to matter, to strive above his peers. All too aware of the advantages they have, he seeks to cut through that and prove that even as the heir to nothing, to no one, he can matter and rise above them all.

1. Trying to Grow

Contrary to what you might think I don't like remaking Mika a million times. I just need to do things right, or I get a brain itch.

What do you think my constant mistakes have been? Be honest! Be brutal. I can handle it.

I know this, I need to stop making him redo canon events all the time. So no more Wave mission, only the Chunin exams will change. He needs to be a person that builds himself up, and we need to see him evolve at a realistic, healthy, developed pace. I want to actually show him growing when accessing real resources, I want to show the crappy teachers and teams.

I might actually give him a real team but I need a suggestion... I am thinking Sakura's bullies.

I cannot keep on making him a special snowflake that just gets by, he needs struggle, effort. Some people are just better and more experienced. So this is me buckling down to make something you all deserve.

I am drawing inspiration from a lot of great stories that did it well. Like Genius Ninja and Pulling My Weight. I will get this right, darn it!
