Possible ties to the Russian Ultranational Group Konni with its leader currently unknown. Leon Kennedy gears up on his mission to find out about the stolen biochemical weapon with a lead in Urzikstan.
"Leon? Leon do you read?" asked Leon's handler Ingrid Hunnigan.
"Go ahead Hunnigan" said Leon.
"Intel suggests the American Embassy here in Urzikstan is a target for an attack by the Russian Ultranationalist group Konni. However we just got word from the CIA about a possible location that the group is using to prepare the bioweapon. You are to meet with the CIA contact as part of this joint operation to apprehend Konni's leader." debriefed Hunnigan.
"Any idea who's in charge?" asked Leon.
"Officially? No. But our contact does along with her elite team of operators. You'll be working with them for the remainder of this mission." explained Hunnigan.
"She's some sort of CIA PMC handler?" asked Leon putting together his Sentinel Nine handgun.
"That's need to know Agent Kennedy. Even for me." said Hunnigan.
Leon goes to a local cafe to sit and wait for the contact. As he does, he looks over the news report on his phone to kill time.
"Agent Kennedy?"
Leon looks up to see a woman.
"Kate Laswell. CIA."
"You must be my contact."
Kate sits down and opens her bag to pull out files on the table.
"I take it you're already debriefed?"
"More or less. Who's this leader of Konni that stole the bioweapon?" asked Leon
Kate slides Leon the file over to him opening it up.
"This our guy?"
"His name is Vladimir Makarov. He recently was freed from a Russian Gulag by his own forces two nights ago. He also had his team inflitrate Shadow Company in stealing the gas." explained Kate.
"Gas?" asked Leon.
Kate pulls out another file from her bag.
"They call it Nova 6. Something originated back during the Cold War. A nerve toxin. But something the general public doesn't know that back in 2021, a cargo ship mysteriously appeared on the shores of Verdansk carrying with it a crew of the undead. The outbreak spread across at a rate unprecedented to the point of failed containment. A mini nuke was launched to stop the spread. After radiation levels went down to a safe level, a team was sent in to secure the cargo of the ship and sent it to Al Mazrah underneath a observatory. The rest is history." explained Kate.
"And now our job is to apprehend Makarov? Destroy Nova 6" asked Leon
"I'm asking you to prevent a catastrophe. I got two of my guys to back you up on this mission. We're keeping tabs on this situation as it progresses." said Kate.
"Where am I hitting this?" asked Leon.
Several Hours later...
Dam of Verdansk
"Hunnigan, Laswell, I got a visual on the cargo" said Leon on a motorcycle looking through his binoculars.
"What do you see?" asked Hunnigan.
"Bad guys loading up something in the back of armored vans."
"Any visual on Makarov?" asked Laswell.
"Negative." said Leon surveying the area.
"I have my guys on stanby of things get too hot. But you need to stop that convoy." said Laswell.
"You love to rush me don't you" asked Leon.
"Is he always like this?" asked Laswell.
"More than you know" answered Hunnigan.
Leon smirks and hits the accelerator on the motorcycle.
Over the sound of Russian chatter, Leon parks the bike and sneaks to take down the soldiers of Konni leaving the van unattended.
"Huh. That was easier than I thought. Gas is secure. Opening the van now" said Leon.
As he opens the door he gets greeted by the door smacking him in the face as he readies his gun.
A helmeted Konni soldier goes to quickly disarm Leon's handgun.
"Guess I missed one" said Leon.
Leon goes for some kicks as they all get countered by this mysterious soldier. Leon goes for punches and elbow strikes as his arm is grabbed and held by the soldier as he counters with punches and knee strikes with a neck chop onto Leon.
The solider then twists Leon's arm behind his back and pins him against the van.
"Strong silent type. I get it" said Leon using his other arm to elbow the soldier off of him and goes to grab his gun.
However the soldier was faster and shoots Leon in his leg as he begins to crawl.
As he reaches for his gun, his arm is stomped on releasing his grip on the gun as he gets stomped on his head.
"Leon come in! Leon?" asked Hunnigan getting no response.
"Ugh You mind if I get back to you on that? Kinda bleeding out here." said Leon.
The soldier is then joined by reinforcements as he removed his helmet and lowered his face mask. Revealing to be none other than Makarov.
"Well well well. You must be Makarov." said Leon.
"Did you really think it would be that easy?" asked Makarov.
"Yeah, Kinda" answered Leon.
"The anticipation of your arrival was hilariously predictable. You cannot stop the events of today. No one can."
"What's your endgame here?" asked Leon.
"In time, you will see the bigger picture. But for now, I am on a tight schedule. *in Russian* Kill him!" ordered Makarov.
"Ah shit" said Leon quickly grabbing his gun still bleeding out.
However gunshots were fired at Makarov and his reinforcements as he makes his grand escape.
Leon begins to pass out from the blood loss as he faintly sees soldiers heading towards him. He faintly hears their voices as they got closer.
"LT! I have visual."
"Bravo 0-7 to Watcher-1, Jackpot"
"Get him out of there 0-7" said Kate.
"Rog. Ghost out"
"Get him on his feet Johnny. All stations I need a medevac in our location" said Lt. Simon 'Ghost' Riley.
"Steamin bloody Jesus" said John 'Soap' MacTavish
Ghost and Soap await their evac as a new threat begins its plan.
