Chapter 2: Attack of the Dark Nightmare Army
A school day later*
It had been a rough day being around people he hated. He kept to himself besides Henry or even Rika since she was interested in their friendship. He avoided them everywhere and even corrupted some computers in computer class to keep himself from sitting next to them.
Using all his wits, he avoided them and went home with Henry. Henry and Rika respected his wishes because they knew he wouldn't change his mind. Now he was looking forward to facing a wild one and also sending out his digital aura in response.
Then he heard his buddy calling him in his room.
Takato walked into the room turning on the light, smiling for the third time besides hearing Rika's voice and being around Henry. Takato could only be in a darkened mood.
Guilmon greeted his tamer. "Do you have any Takatomon bread?" He asked sniffing for any bread. Guilmon had become part of the Matsuki family at this point. Takato's mother saw him as a sorta second child.
"Here boy…" Takato had grabbed a few because he'd known this Digimon of his would eat through his whole backpack and after teaching Guilmon, he was able to make sure Guilmon stayed in his room while his parents gave him bread on their breaks in the bakery. They had planned it all from their bakery in Kyoto. The income from Kyoto gave them enough for another house from how delicious their bread was from one of the busiest bakeries in Kyoto. Thanks to Takato they expanded because Takato needed places to sleep in different cities for any Digimon trouble.
Takato's mother Asui, wasn't still not happy with her baby in danger or babies, including guilmon , but Takato's father,Tsunako, was fine with it. He was protecting the world.
Takato smiled at his Digimon, the red dinosaur Digimon was eating through the bread then replied while his mouth was full of it. "Takatomon, I saw Calumon today! He was very happy we were back to play! We played all afternoon but we were careful and no one saw us! Takatomon!"
Takato shook his head at the innocent nature and childlike expression on his partner's face. They have fought against Hordes of Nightmare soldiers but the red dinosaur like Digimon stayed the same.
Guilmon ears perked.
Takato looked at his Digimon as his mouth opened and munched through multiple bags of bread that was considered a snack. He knew it was a good idea to make more bakeries to the appetite of his partner. "Takatomon, there's multiple dark Digimon near the park. One is the ultimate level and others are the champion level of smell…"
Takato smiled as his Digimon though did indicate the level now that he's improved. He sent out his digital aura and smiled. He then saw that the Digimon was correct. There were ten to twenty champion levels and one ultimate level dark Digimon.
"Really now? Let's go have fun boy!"
Guilmon nodded knowing what to do."
{at Shinjuku Park}*
Several Digimon was marching down the street and people were running away in response screaming.
"Demonic Gale!" The swarm of over twenty Devidramon Flies high and fast through the sky, slicing the air and creating a shockwave that disrupts everything beneath. The destruction was massive as buildings scattered along their path had collapsed with windows shattered ,hydraulic cables released, sewers opened. Thousands of window shards fell below making even more injuries.
"Death Claw!" Multiple Devidramon roared in unison as they raised their arms Slashing with power of darkness at more buildings while people ran for their lives.
The Tamers approached. They were looking pretty stunned at the display. "What is this?! An invasion?! That's an Army of Devidramon!"
A platoon of Minotarumon was also coming in blasting all that came in their way.
Finally, An Mephistomon was in the lead of the small army. Henry raised his D Arc to the flying Devidramon.

Special attacks: Crimson Claw (Crimson Nail): Chops up the opponent with its gigantic claws and beats them all bloody.
Devidramon is a Dark Dragon Digimon. It is known and feared as the "Many-eyed Demon". As a demon beast that was summoned from the Dark Area by the messenger of darkness, Devimon and other Dark Digimon like the Demon Lords. There is no other Digimon as evil as it is. Although it is a Dramon-species Digimon, its limbs are unusually developed, so it cuts the opponent to pieces with its elongated arms, and flies about the darkness with its sturdy legs and wings. Its personality is the epitome of wickedness, and it is unmoved by a spirit of compassion. If it glares at opponents with its four eyes burning in deep crimson, the opponent becomes unable to move, and it will chop up their unresisting body. Also, the tip of its tail is able to open up and take on the shape of a claw, which can skewer the opponent.
Rika raised her D arc to the brown minotaur monsters that had cannons for right arms.

Special attack: Earthquake Drill (Darkside Quake): it Generates a massive earthquake with the Demon Arm that floors opponents over a considerably wide range, so that no matter how far away they are they won't be able to escape.
The Minotaurmons then released their attacks: "Darkside drill!" , with a bull's head on a muscular, human body. It has brown-colored fur that looks to be a suit, with stitches on some portions and a zipper on the front. It has brown eyes, two, bull-like curved horns, brown hair, and a gold nose ring. It has a normal right hand, but its left sports the "Demon Arm", a piece of machinery. It wears brown boots on its feet.
Rika raised her D-Arc to the Digimon who, seemingly to the Tamers, was their leader.

"Everyone get ready! We need to make sure they get away from the city."
All the Tamers started evolving their Digimon including Ryo. "There's so many of them! Whoa! *feeling the earthquake* Did they all decide to just come to the real world and attack!"
"Terriermon!"
"What!"
Rika ignored them and turned to Renamon. "Let's go Renamon!"

"Terriermon you too!" Henry said wanting to end the fight beforehand with this amount of energetic enemies heading for them destroying Shinjuku.
"Why me?! Why can't you humans do the fighting for once and we do the Card-Slashing! There's so many to choose from for practice!"
"Terriermon, can't you follow a decent order for once without a complaint? They are going to destroy the city at this rate!"
Terriermon shrugged and hopped off his Tamer's head. He was still hesitant to fight this many but MegaGargomon was better for fighting multiple enemies.

Mephistomon crossed its arms and shook his head. "I heard of your group from multiple places in the digital world. You really expect to take me on without your leader? He's way more powerful than you think but I don't see him…"
"We don't need him!" Justimon said as he charged. He changed his arm to the Accel Arm.
"ThunderClap!"
He generates shockwaves that hit the Devidramon but only takes out a few of them along with some Minotaurmon. These Devidramon and Minotaurmon were tough.
"Earthquake drill!"
The inimaginable shockwave with the several Minotaur like Digimon produced pushed him and the Tamers back. The ultimate dark Digimon only shook his head. "Pathetic…"
"Death Cloud!"
"Look out!"
"Do it…" The large Dark Digimon ordered and the Devidramon then sent out Demonic Gales as the cloud causes buildings to decay and it became clear that the structure of the taller buildings were being destroyed as they tipped towards the Tamers who were trying to move out of the way. The Dark Digimon knew that if he discovered their weaknesses it would be easier. It was the weakness that they needed to focus on; the Tamers that weren't able to merge with their Digimon were a threat that was easy enough.
Jeri,Kazu,Kenta,and their Digimon minus Jeri needed to be always guarded at all times as Guardramon and Marineangemon were two useless in a fight.
"You don't even know that part of your team is slowing you down…" Devidramon that Mephistomon had closest to him were then charging at Jeri,Kazu and Kenta. Marineangemon and Guardramon tried to sent their attacks but a Minotaurmon came out and attacked them only for a dark beam like an arrow hit them.
Jeri and the two male tamers couldn't react as another two more digital fields appeared. "Move out!"
Thousands of troopmon marched through the streets heading for the Tamers from two different directions. "Aw nuts, where are they coming from?"
"I think we are facing a invasion!"
"Mega Barrage!"
MegaGargomon released missiles and other armaments at the incoming Pteramon that flew out of the fields making things known that they had air forces too.
Sakuyamon was releasing a Spirit Strike. Spiritual foxes and long tails hit the incoming troopmon who opened fire.
"Well they seem to be in a pickle…" A Dark Black knight was shown to be sitting with his leg upright and his back leaned against the concrete pillar. He wasn't moved as he made his Lance disappear after his attack. His shield as well was not there, it's name was ChaosGallantmon. The Dark Royal knight.
Takato was in his Dark Royal Knight form and sighed as he then leaped down and had enough watching the Tamers fail miserably and knew how screwed their team was in most situations.
"Enough!" His voice merged with Guilmon.
"Demon disaster!"
The Tamers saw a large black knight resembling Gallantmon, Strike with a powerful barrage of attacks from the Balmung that was a Lance similar to Gallantmon. The Tamers saw that the dark knight moved fast and thrusted his dark Lance to then look in multiple directions as more digital fields opened. "Troopmon…"
The next enemies to appear were not what the Tamers were expecting; it was battalions worth of Troopmon. The Minotaurmon were then slamming their metal arms creating singling line quakes to hit the Tamers. Takato turned to them and released his attack.
"Dark Gallant Charge!" The Tamers saw the knight charge and with the dark hazard energy of his glowing Balmung Lance he destroyed them then leaped high to absorb their data. He then turned to the Tamers. He then turned to the dark Digimon leader. Mephistomon released a dark chant that seemed to have all the dark Digimon into a way that seemed to hypnotize the whole area to becoming stronger.
The army now of Nightmare Digimon soldiers had released their enhanced attacks reducing the tamers from their mega forms as Ryo and cyberdramon as Justimon was hit by multiple Devidramon and Rika and Henry were double teamed by Minotaurmon and troopmon then Mephistomon attacked reducing them back into their human and Digimon forms.
"You're here after all, Dark Knight?" The ultimate then sent out his hand then immediately the dark Digimon along with the new arrivals all faced the new enemy.
"Whose that?" Rika heard Henry say as they were with lots of scratches and cuts to bruises. Mephistomon looked at the group and only stared at the large knight in black armor. "You will get in my way of sending these humans to be sacrificed to my lord?"
Rika raised her D-Arc weakly towards the dark knight figure.
ChaosGallantmon,A Mega Level,Virus type Dark knight Digimon. The Death Bringer,Dancer of the Digital Hazard Flames, the one who summons disaster …a creature born of a Holy Knight with a tainted soul,whose only objective is precisely that:to destroy everything into nothing. His Judecca Prison and Demon Disaster attacks can only be described with one word: Abysmal.
"Wow! Instead of the gallant normal knight in shining white armor, we get the dark knight of destruction." Terriormon commented.
The Tamers stood with little energy while the army now of Digimon surrounded them, making all the humans watch in fear from multiple hiding spots.
"Yes I am here, you won't touch them. Though you're bringing quite the group…" Takato coldly turned to the group in the combined voices. "Looks like you need me after all,Ryo…"
"Takato?"
ChaosGallantmon laughed with their combined voices being more spontaneous than ever. "Who do you think I was? Piedmon?"
He then turned to Mephistomon. "Your Black Sabbath attack doesn't work on a virus type like me so give us a break and tell me where the shard is!"
"Like I would tell you where one of the Crystals is to revive my lord from his seal…you royal knights have been looking for them since we broke the seal and how they escaped from the digital world during the ancient war." Henry was paying attention to this wondering who their lord was.
"He won't get revived, not if I get anything to say about it!" The dark knight charged and Ignited his Dark Lance.
"DEMON DISASTER!!!"
ChaosGallantmon then strikes with his Lance through multiple Minotaurmon and then dodges through the claws of Devidramon who flew at him from the air. There was a lot of them as well as raised his shield to block the laser fire from troopmon.
Troopmon is a humanoid Digimon wearing a black rubber suit that obscures most of its features. Its face is covered by a gas mask that has tubes connected to the pack on its back. It has three fingers on each hand with what appears to be ports at the fingertips, and its feet look mechanized, with three clawed toes on each. It is often equipped with a firearm vaguely reminiscent of an AK-47 or Thompson submachine gun.
Henry raised his D-Arc for the troopmon.

Henry read the description underneath.
Troopmon: Champion level, frontline foot soldiers for the nightmare soldier family. It is a Zombie Zinger Digimon. It is an artificial Digimon manufactured by stuffing energy stolen from other Digimon within a special rubber body. As it is a machine-like Digimon that can only perform as commanded, it is absolutely incapable of spontaneous behavior. It doesn't get fatigued, it doesn't feel pain, it doesn't fear death.
"First the Dragons and the giant bull now there's zombies?!" Terriermon complained as the rest of the group sweatdropped. "Are we fighting entire invasions now?!"
Takato tried his best to ignore the small long eared rabbit. His royal knight form was always a pain at times but he tried his best. He got used to maneuvering and dodging as he stabbed, thrusting his Lance while absorbing the data into him. Using this whole unit of Devidramon and Minotaur like Digimon could be a boost to his final attack. He charged and then released his next attack.
"SPIRAL WAILER!"
Dark lightning of Hazard energy hits the up and charging of troopmon to Devidramon. He didn't let up his response to the invasion force as more and more of the enemy was deleted. He absorbed data as he did so. He turned to Mephistomon. The ultimate Digimon only did was keep changing his hands in his chanting and then launching more lightning boosted from the data he absorbed.
He then began gathering energy again and sending it to his shield. The Tamers were astonished that Takato could do this to a large force by himself. As the energy gathers Mephistomon then moves to intercept seeing as his forces are losing and the masters he serves won't be happy of a royal knight's interference.
"Tell your masters they won't be getting anything from Humans! Bye bye!" Takato said releasing the stored energy for the leader.
"Shield Destructor!"
Moving the Large energy in a single beam of dark colored blasts at Mephistomon who was trying to create a dark cloud to make his attack into dust but the attack was of the same variety and even stronger coming from a Mega level Dark Digimon.
A blinding light glowed. Then the dark blinding light vanished revealing Takato in his new attire and his kendo bag on his back and Guilmon now darker black with some of his original red.
"Hello, Tamers. Now I thought you didn't need my help! Especially against that many when I was only one person! I hope you don't continue this losing streak because then you have called me to come help you every time though that was quite a large unit compared to a full blown army…" Takato laughed and said coldly with some arrogance, "Good evening Henry,Rika-chan…"
Rika was not fond of the comment. Which meant he thought they were weak when he took them all out single handedly while they had a full group. She remains silent nonetheless and decided they would talk later when she finds him alone.
He went towards a random flat screen tv within a window of an electronics store hoping it still had power. "Takato!"
He turned coldly to the group approaching as Guilmon looked curiously. "Takato, what was that? Who was that knight Digimon? What's going on too…why was there a lot more Digimon?!"
"Me, you Baka, that was my other bio-merge form kinda original huh?" He looked at Ryo. "It's called ChaosGallantmon," Takato grinned maliciously. "There's something that a certain Digimon wants…"
Terriormon was about to comment when a red blur tackled him. "Hi Terriermon, nice to see you again, it's been a long time!"
"Nice to see you too, Guilmon…why are you darker than normal?" Guilmon looked down and shrugged. He ran to renamon while Terriermon only sweatdropped from the red dinosaur's response.
"Hello Renamon! Looking nice as always!" Guilmon happily commented while Takato,Henry,Terriermon,Rika and renamon could sweatdropped more.
Then Guilmon finally saw the rest of the Tamers which caused Jeri to smile. It was then an aura of malice and evil spread through the area that was so massive that Takato could see all the tamers including Rika and Henry shiver and back away as Guilmon growled then roared the most menacing roar of hatred than they ever experienced.
Takato looked unaffected but released some energy they never saw before. "Guilmon heel…!" The amount of energy that seemed just from Megidramon was gone before they knew it.
The Tamers, especially Jeri never thought the evil energy of Megidramon would be released from Guilmon much less the way it was directed at her and the other tamers made things scarier.
"Enough Guilmon we need to report back…-" He put his face closer. "…-The others are waiting, I'll get you your bread…with peanut butter…"
Then Calumon appeared flying, landing on Guilmon's head. "
"Me too! I want bread too! Creampuffs too!"
Takato laughed as he raised his new golden D-Arc towards the Tv and before the Tamers could react Takato turned into small bits of data as if he was being deleted then absorbed into the tv. Guilmon and Calumon followed as the whole group was watching while not believing what was happening, Rika ran towards them.
It was then seconds after Takato disappeared. Rika was then screaming his name. She didn't know what was happening or where Takato went but all she could do was one thing and that was to find him. "GOGGLEHEAD!!!"
