"Oh my Groot the smoke alarms went off, wait is RJ cooking and set off the smoke-alarms." Rocket said as he rushed in grabbing the fire extingusher putting out the fire surprising Rocket Senior who had came running in noticing his son there with the fire extingusher.
"Incan explain, I thought RJ was old enough to learn to cook and thought wrong." he told Rocket as RJ came out from behind the table, hoping he wasn't in trouble because his grandpa had lethim learn to cook seeing his dad hug him tight as Nebula cane in, wondering what hadset the fire alarms off.
"My dad thought RJ was ready to learn to cook." Rocket said calmly seeing her hug RJ but also Rocket Senior as she'd been worried about the both of them despite RJ thinking he was in trouble for almost starting a fire hearing Rocket laugh hysterically, because it reminded him of the shenigans he had on Wondergore growing up.
"Ohhhh, that's good we're not in trouble." he mumbled leaving the kitchen while the adults cleaned up hoping Herbert might tell him stories about his dad growing up on Wondergore making Rocket chuckle, at his curiousity saying he wasn't in trouble.
"Naw you're not and guess we should've started small." Rocket Senior said seeing a worried look on Nebula'sface hearing a storm would be hitting Knowhere trying not to make a big deal out if it in front of the kits so they wouldn't freak out seeing RJ hugging her leg tight.
"Don't worry buddy, our house will be safe, we just gotta prep for this situation but your mom, me and grandpa won't let anything happen to you or your sibs." Rocket reassured him seeing Rocket Senior nodding hugging him reminding him about taking deep-breaths in a stressful situation seeing him nodding doing this, which was helping.
"We should teach my sibs this, so they don't get scared." RJ said.

Nebula told him she and Rocket were heading to the storeto get supplies seeing Rocket Senior nodding, prepping the house pullijg outvsleepijg bags among other things like lanterns putting them in each room just in case not wanting to say to RJ the power could go out knowing he was afraid of the dark seeing the baby-raccoons were on his big, fluffy back enjoying it relieving him making snacks seeing the baby-raccoons on his big furry lap seeing RJ curled up on the carpeted floor in a furry ball mumbling calming things to him, because Nebula had mentioned how anxious the male-kit got.
"Sshhhh bubbelah you're gonna bey okay, plus mommy and daddy will be back soon." he reassured him strokng behind his furry lil ear which he'd seen Rocket do with RJ and the baby-raccoons which was helping the male-kit relax just as Nebula and Rocket returned with lots of groceries, relieving RJ seeing his parents home kind of helped him.
"Let me help guys, as you could use it." Rocket Senior told them walking into the kitchen helping Nebula and Rocket with the groceries and explained that RJ had been anxious while they'd been at the store which they understood seeing the baby-raccoons hugging their legs relieving them but saw RJ in a furry ball on the carpeted floor worrying Rocket sitting beside him just as the lights flickered making RJ freak oht holding onto him tightly.
"Ohhhhh it's okay buddy, the generator should kick in." he reassured him pulling out the Zune seeing RJ had his noise-cancelling airpods connecting them into the Zune seeing RJ holding it gently in his paws which was distracting him just as the storm was starting.
"How's things going, is RJ doing okay despite the storm." Rocket heard Rocket Senior ask him in the early-morning hours as he and Rocket were still awake even though Negula had just fallen asleep after getting RJ to sleep knowing he might be grumpy later on at school, if school was open seeing Rocket Senior shrug his furry shoulders in reply
"I haven't gotten any messages from the principal so yeah-" he told hij drinking coffee with Rocket having sone father-son time plus eating canoles but making Rocket chuckle softly trying not to be too loud to wake the house up.
