Monkey Business

Danny stood before a defeated Leona, who was on her knees as her sword was now in Danny's hand.

"So… kitty got more tricks?" Danny questioned.

Leona groaned bitterly as she shook her head.

"You have made your point…" She said gracefully as she stood up. "Fear Felines… release his allies and his romantic partner. This one… is spoken for." She ordered while her tone was dripped in defeat.

Reluctantly, her warriors did as instructed, letting them go.

"That's a relief…" Star said as she walked over to Danny and wrapped her arms around him. "Almost thought I lost you…"

"Not a chance…" Danny said with a smile.

Leona pouted as she turned her head.

"I was even looking forward to this one too…" She whined under her breath.

That's when the ground shook slightly.

"Huh?" Danny went.

The ground shook again, sounding louder.

"Another trick of yours?" Star questioned Leona.

"No… I gave my word. Besides, we don't do anything like-" Another shake cut her off.

"Wait… that's not an earthquake. That sounds like footprints." Danny said, listening in.

That's when the roof of the building was suddenly lifted up. Looking down on them was some kind of saurian creature with a silver body, red head and the face of a Chinese dragon.

"Surrender to Moltus! Ruler of the Abnormaloids!" He shouted in fury.

Looking up at the kaiju now snarling at them, Star clung to Danny's arm.

"That's it! I officially wanna go home!" She said in horror.

"Looks like we'll need to take care of this guy first…" Danny said as he steeled himself for battle.

Meanwhile

Danielle panicked, seeing Wulf still fighting with Hou as she saw Jack and Maddie ready their gear.

"Okay… what do I do?" She asks herself, clutching her hands on her beanie as she tries to come up with a plan.

''Āng zāng de shēngwù!" Hou screeched.

"Simian frenezulo!" Wulf snapped back.

Wulf was then pressed into the dirt by Hou when his foot landed on his head.

"Filthy mongrel! Go take a bath!" Hou said with a nasty smile before kicking him away.

Wulf growled, his anger rising.

''Mi banos en via interno!" He howled, before he charged at the monkey with his claws ready.

As they brawled, the Fentons saw easy targets.

"Time to make a rug out of you, Ghost Scum!" Jack declared as his wife readied their weapons.

An idea came to Danielle.

"If they want a ghost… I can give them a different one." She said.

Getting onto the field, Jack and Maddie aimed their blasters.

"Ready!" Maddie said as they held their weapons out. "Aim!"

Both took aim at Wulf as he was down.

"This is a long awaited payback for my RV, you leering lupine!" Jack said.

Suddenly, their weapons were shot out of their hands, much to their surprise.

"What the-?!" Maddie went.

"Sorry, can't have you do that!" A girl's voice went.

Turning their heads, they saw, for the first time in their lives, Dani Phantom. She hovered off the ground with one of her fists still smoking green.

Maddie adjusted her goggles to make sure she wasn't seeing things.

"Another Phantom? He has a little sister?" She asks.

"Sort of…" Dani admitted sheepishly.

"What are you? His sidekick?" Jack questioned as he stroked his chin in thought.

Dani thought about it as she looked away.

"Not really… I'm open to it but-"

"Never mind that! Jack! Another Phantom! This is perfect!" Maddie said, reclaiming her weapon.

"Right… let's bag us a Phantom!" Jack said, reclaiming his own weapon.

"That's just what I was hoping they'd do…" Dani said under her breath.

The two ignored the large beasts in favor of the girl, who flew several feet away as they started chasing her.

"I got her!" Maddie said, taking aim.

However, she missed when Dani dodged her.

"Sorry!" Dani went with a smile as she shrugged.

"I got it..." Jack fired but missed her by two feet.

"Guess I can't blame Vlad for thinking Jack has poor aim…" She said under her breath.

"Hold still!" Jack shouted, trying to take aim.

Dani rolled her eyes and decided to be frank

"Look, I don't know what you think, but not all ghosts are evil." Dani said.

"Don't try to fool us! We're ain't no dummies!" Jack said.

"It's "we aren't dummies"… Jack." Maddie corrected him.

"My point still stands." Jack said defensively.

Dani then decided to try something else.

I hope I'm right… She thought.

Dani then lowered to the ground and held her arms out.

"Come on! In the interest of fairness, I'll give you guys a free shot." She said.

Maddie was about to question this when Jack stepped forward.

"I got this!" Jack said as he pulled out the Fenton Fishing Line.

"That'll do." She said as she waited for him to use it.

Jack then let loose the line to catch her, only for Dani to phase into the ground. Once the line landed, she phased up and grabbed it near the hook before flying around the two in a circle.

"Oh no! Jack!" Maddie went. "We have to-"

It was too late. Dani wrapped them up rather quickly. With the two wrapped up in their own Fenton fishing line, that left them unable to fight back.

"Really sorry about this… but it was nice to finally meet you both." Dani said with a smile.

Jack and Maddie both shared a look.

"Why?" Jack asks.

"Let's just say I admire you both more than you think…" Dani admitted.

"See?! That's what I'm looking for in our own kids! Admission of admiration." Jack said with a big smile.

"Not the time, Jack…" Maddie said in annoyance.

Dani shrugged before lightly kicking the two to the ground.

"Sorry… I'd love to get to know you guys better but I have a friend to save."

The Fenton parents tried to break free of the unbreakable ghost fishing line but couldn't.

"This cannot get worse…" Maddie grumbled.

"Actually… those snacks I ate are starting to make their way out." Jack admitted sheepishly as sounds from his stomach were heard.

Maddie had a disgusted look on her face.

Hou and Wulf continued their tussle, the monkey avoiding the pair of claws as he got on his back and kicked the lycanthrope in the stomach and launched him away.

"Space program should send filthy dogs like you into rockets instead!" Hou said mockingly.

"Mi ne estas hundo! Mi estas lupo! My name is Wulf!" Wulf snapped as got back on all fours and ran towards Hou.

Hou only scoffed as he somersaulted over him, using his tail to slap Wulf in the back of the head in the process. Wulf stopped and snarled angrily before turning his head.

"Whoops… did I do that?" Hou said with a smile of faux regret.

This left him wide open as he was hit from behind by a stream of green energy.

"Hey! Back off from my friend!" Dani shouted, now being made aware of by Hou for the first time.

"What's this? You're a babysitter now?" Hou asks Wulf before redirecting his attention to Dani. "Sorry, little girl. This is a private blood feud here. Why not go back to your mommy?" Hou asks dismissively.

In response, Dani flew in and swung her leg, only for Hou to block with his tail. That same tail wrapped around her leg.

"Uh oh…" She went before she was swung away.

"Kids these days, am I right?" Hou asks with a smile before redirecting his attention to Wulf. "Now… soon as I'm through with you… I'll go back to…" Hou then raised his eyebrows as she put a finger to his chin in recollection. "What was I doing, actually?"

His distraction allowed Wulf to get up and tackle Hou into the ground. However, the monkey ghost wouldn't back down as he pushed Wulf off. Before he could do anything else, a pair of gloves hands grabbed his tail.

"Let's see how you like it!" Dani shouted as she swung him away from Wulf.

However, Hou planted his feet into the dirt before she managed to toss him away.

"You'll have to do better than that, Squirt." He said before pulling his tail away.

Dani jumped back as soon as she saw him raise his fist, avoiding it and letting it hit the ground.

We gotta get rid of him, or else not getting paid is the least of our problems… She thought.

Seeing Wulf get up, she came up with an idea.

"Wulf." She said before inching closer and whispering into his ear.

Hearing what she had in mind, he nodded.

Hou pulled his fist out of the dirt as he ran towards the two on all fours.

Dani nodded to Wulf, who ran off as she faced Hou alone.

"Oh, so he sends a little girl to fight for him, eh?" Hou asked with a grin.

"Just wait and see what this little girl can do!" Dani declared as she fired a blast from her fist.

Hou somersaulted over her attack, landing gracefully in front of her before swinging his tail, making her duck to avoid it.

Hou then planted his hands in the dirt as he lifted his legs off, kicking her away. Dani slid on the ground a moment before being able to plant her feet.

"Okay… I just gotta keep this guy busy… like Danny. I can handle this, right?" She asks herself.

Meanwhile

Moltus was on the ground, unconscious from battle.

Atop his chest was Danny Phantom, holding Leona's sword in hand.

"And that… is that." He said as he got off, walking towards Leona and handing back her sword. "So, our deal?"

"Indeed… We needn't wed. You are a mighty warrior and you have earned your right to reject my offer to be king." Leona said with a bow. "We apologize."

"It's… fine, I guess. So, my sister? Friends? Girlfriend?" Danny asks.

"We will not harm them either. You are now honored allies to the Kingdom of Fear Felina." Leona declared as she walked back to join her warriors. "We will take Moltus off your hands. Let's go!" She declared as she raised her sword into the air.

With that, several of her warriors grabbed Moltus as they cried out battle cries before disappearing, taking the giant with them.

Once they were gone, Danny walked back to his team, all of them looking tired and even in slight awe.

"That had to be the most epic, terrifying battle we've ever been in…" Sam said.

"I'll say…" Star said in agreement.

"My favorite part was how you and Danny managed to escape that thing's claws in time…" Jazz went.

"So… Now what? Convention center isn't looking so hot." Tucker said, gesturing to the building in question.

Seeing the mess and debris, Danny nodded.

"I should probably help clean this up." He said as he floated in that direction.

Back to Dani.

The battle was not done yet. Dani and Wulf were both facing Hou, who was smirking.

"Kids these days, in over their heads with their pets." Hou said, being cocky.

Wulf glared at that mocking attitude of his.

"Mi estas amiko, ne dorlotbesto!" Wulf snarled as he charged at him again.

Hou once again avoided him with a somersault, kicking the back of his head in the process.

Thinking she found an opening when Hou landed, Dani flew in, swinging her leg. However, Hou grabbed her foot.

"Ahp-pap-pap! You're too small to play with me!" He said before tossing her aside.

"Hey!" Dani went, hitting the ground.

"And you dress like a pale imitation… if only the real Danny Phantom were here. I bet he'd be more of a challenge." Hou said as he effortlessly avoided Wulf's bites without even looking at him.

Angered that he saw her as no threat and as a copy, Dani scowled at him.

This is getting us nowhere. Gonna have to stop this soon... She thought.

Wulf attempted to slash him, only for Hou to once again somersault over him. Seeing that happen, Dani got an idea and smiled.

"Here goes everything… Hey, Hou!" Dani called out, getting his attention.

"Yes?!" Hou asked with a mocking tone.

"My turn!" She shouted as she flew at him at full speed.

"This again? Haven't you paid attention to the mutt monster?" Hou asked in a scoff as he once again somersaulted.

He saw an opening and attempted to hit her in the back of the head with his tail.

"I did." Dani said as she spun around and grabbed his tail.

"Huh?!" Hou went, being surprised for the first time.

Planting her feet onto the ground, Dani slammed Hou, injuring him.

"Hey, Wulf! Care to demonstrate a body slam?" She asks.

Wulf grinned in anticipation as he leapt into the air.

"Ahh… poop…" Hou went as he saw Wulf about to land on him.

The impact pushed the monkey into the ground, creating a decrease in his shape.

"Nice…" Dani said as Wulf got up. "Portal please?"

With a nod, Wulf stepped back and made a portal with his claws.

"Have a nice trip…" Wulf said with a grin.

Hou tried to get away, only for Dani to pull his tail, rendering him incapable of escape.

"What?! No! Not fair!" Hou went before howling like an actual monkey as he tried to pull away.

"Oh, don't worry. At least now you can get some bananas to eat!" Dani went as she swung and threw him in.

"We eat grapes in the wild!" Hou called out as the portal closed.

Once that was done, Dani sighed in relief before hearing grunts from Jack and Maddie.

"Almost out! Almost!" Jack went as the two managed to get up slowly and let the line fall off.

"And… that's our cue. Come on!" Dani went as she and Wulf made a break for it.

1 hour later

Now away from the baseball stadium, Danielle was back to human form and walked with both hands in pockets.

"That was a bust… we got some free food… but not exactly something I'd consider a form of money." She said.

"Now what do we do?" Wulf asks.

"Honestly? I'm all out of ideas." Danielle said.

With a depressed moan, she realizes she'll have to come clean with Danny once he gets home. However, that's when she saw a dog crossing the busy street.

"Lucas!" A woman's voice called out.

A truck was coming in from down the street.

"Uh oh…" Danielle went, reacting fast as she ran towards the dog and picked him up long before the truck could arrive.

"Here you go." Danielle said, unaware just who she handed the dog to.

"Oh… what a relief." Eleanor said. "Thank you… I knew going to that baseball game because the Ensen owed me money was a terrible idea."

"Heh… you were there too, huh?" Danielle asks nervously with a smile.

"Indeed." Eleanor said happily before getting a good look at Danielle and cupping her chin. "You look… familiar. Have we met?"

"Don't think so…" Danielle said, unaware of who this woman was or her connection to her genetic donor.

"Well… regardless… I owe you for saving my little Lucas." She went, making kissy faces at her dog.

"It's cool, lady." Danielle said.

"I insist." Eleanor took out some bills in her hand and handed them to Danielle. "There you go. Money's no object to me."

Eleanor then walked away with her dog as Danielle examined what was in her hand. Upon counting, she realized just how much she was rewarded.

"$500?!" She asked.

Wulf walked up to her.

"This enough?" He asks.

Danielle took another look at the money and cheered.

"Alright, we got enough to not be broke! Now let's go get about a dozen pizzas to celebrate!" She said only for Wulf to take the money. "Hey!"

"Not this time. Be responsible!" Wulf said in a stern way.

"Oh, fine. Sometimes, you're more unfun than Danny and Star put together..." Danielle pouted and whined.

"We are not going through that again… "Wulf said, not budging.

"Fine. We can get one pizza. Just one." Danielle said in defeat.
