True to his decision, Ron stood outside the dungeons waiting on Draco. He hoped Malfoy was alone. Draco exited the dungeons, trying to do some last minute corrections on his homework. He had good grades for a reason, but he still wished to have fun too. "Weasley!" Draco gripped his wand, keeping it in his pocket. He wasn't going to attack Ginny's brother without reason, if only for Harry. He didn't hate Ginny, but wasn't her friend either, though he was open to it. "I wanted to ask how you feel about muggleborns?" Ron stepped back seeing Malfoy was on the defensive. He didn't want this to snowball into an argument. "They're okay. Need some manners." Draco was honest. "Otherwise I wouldn't let them stay with me at my house. Father still isn't a fan." Okay, that was better than Ron expected. "And muggles?" "Not a fan." Ron looked at Draco and whispered, "Just between you and me, I'm not sure how I feel about them. Hermonie-" When Ron saw Malfoy was confused on who he was talking about, he used Granger's last name to be clear, "Granger's outburst makes me think they may be worse off than we think." "Shame the muggleborns get thrown into it." Draco mumbled. "I never realized how worse off they are." Ron nodded. "Shame really." Ron was about to walk away when he turned around and stuck his hand out, "Truths Malfoy." Draco thought about it and decided that a truth was a good idea, Arthur would have to play along if two Weasleys were friends with him. This may help his dad get some leniency in bills Arthur makes in the ministry too. "Truths." Draco shook Weasley's hand. "I hope we can be friends one day. I can say the same for the rest of your family." "Thank you." Ron pulled his hand away when Snape walked by. "What's this?" Snape was wondering why a Gryffindor was near Slytherin territory. It was never good.

Draco seeing Snape's suspicion spoke, "Ron and I were deciding we wanted to end our families feud. Ron came by to offer a truce." Snape was about to faint for the second time in two days. First a Weasley sorted into his house and now this? Snape decided to embrace the weird and did an out of character thing by awarding both Slytherin and Gryffindor points. May as well keep everyone wondering if the world went insane, if only to annoy Dumbledore. "I'm proud of both of you. Ten points to Gryffindor and Slytherin." Snape looked at Ron, "I'm glad the hat chose to give Gryffindor a good quality for once." "Thank you, sir." Ron said wondering if he was being complimented or insulted. He couldn't tell, unaware Draco was trying to figure out the same thing. Snape considered his work done and left.

Now to the hard part, confronting his twin brothers. He noticed they booed a kid in Slytherin last year, and need them to know they will not harass Ginny about her sorting, even if it makes them hate him.

Ron gulped before he met his brother's in one of their secret passageways. "Fred, George, I need to talk to you." "What is it, baby brother?" Fred asked. "It's about Ginny?"

George reassured Ron, "We'll make her regret being Slytherin." "Such a shame." Fred mocked cried. Ron's face burned red, "You'll do no such thing! Her being in Slytherin is not a cause for concern!" George spat back, "Slytherin is a house of death eaters." Fred also agreed, "They must be punished." "You better not touch her or I'll tell mum every time you get in trouble. Even if I have to be known as the tattletale among are family."

Fred and George looked at each other, putting their hands up. "Alright, we will leave Ginny alone." Fred assured Ron. George continued, "Even though she has already joined the dark side." Ron snapped, "You knew Ginny all your life, she is no different today than yesterday. Who cares if she's Slytherin? You judgmental prats." Ron paused for a second, "You're just like mum." Ron left the passageway.

Fred looked at George, "We aren't like mum, are we?" "We did boo the boy last year, and we were going to prank Ginny for being in the house." Fred sat down, "Ron may be right." "We owe him one." George thought for a second, "We can keep an eye on him and Ginny with the map. He will be in Slytherin territory, hanging out with Ginny and there are still bound to be people who don't like her sorting." "We don't like her sorting!" Fred exclaimed, "But we can get over it. Operation keep an eye on Ron is underway."

Fred and George opened the Marauder's map, they saw a surprising sight. "Is that?" George paled, while Fred nodded, "And he's with Ron!" "Minerva would think we're playing a prank." George thought aloud. "Snape?" Fred offered, knowing the answer. "Dumbledore?" After agreement Fred and George skipped breakfast to wait by the Headmaster's office.

Dumbledore saw the boys and escorted them into his office, after mumbling the password. "Yes?"

Fred and George nervously produced the map. Dumbledore's eyes twinkled when they said, "I solemnly swear I am up to no good." George opened the map to show Ron, "Sir, Peter Pettigrew is always with Ron." Dumbledore looked at the map, "I thought he was dead?" Fred looked at the supposedly dead man with his brother, "We did too."

Dumbledore smiled, "I'll have to call the ministry. Please stay here." Dumbledore went into his back office, where students knew not to enter in any uncertain terms. Dumbledore flooed the ministry with the map in hand. Amelia Bones came out of the floo, looking at the map.

Meanwhile Ron was wondering if he was going crazy, he heard constant hissing. And his rat seemed unusually agitated. It's hair was falling off, and it never slept anymore. Ron was reading his letter from his mum. She told Ron the rat was old and may be getting ready to die. Of stress maybe! He could have swore a snake was nearby. He knew that was impossible, despite his sudden ability to hear things that aren't there. The only snake in the school was Potter's and that snake never left the man.

Parselmouths didn't bother him, Ginny was one. His family seemed scared when they heard her speaking to a snake when she was five. Ron defended her against his own parents.

"Arthur, what do we do?" Molly asked when Ginny was hissing at the snake. "You don't think she is-" Even at six, Ron couldn't stand for this injustice, "Treat her normal! She's family!" Arthur and Molly, proud of Ron, but still scared of Ginny agreed.

Ron never knew the possibility of Ginny being a dark wizard was still on the back of his family's mind. And now Ginny was learning how judgmental family could be.

Ginny looked at the letter her mum sent her, exclaiming her disappointment in her sorting. Her dad was more supportive, but she could sense the worry from his letter. She did find the letter Ron sent to be adorable. He threatened to beat up anybody who gave her a hard time. And the "If Fred and George so much as say your sorting was bad, I'll never let them get away with anything again. I'll even get tips from Percy." Percy also sent a letter proclaiming he'd watch out for her too.

So when Amelia Bones ordered immediate evacuation of the great hall, Ginny was worried for Percy and Ron. Once everyone was in there common rooms, except the Weasley twins who were in the headmaster's office, Amelia and Dumbledore walked towards the Gryffindor tower, looking at the map. Amelia didn't enter the tower, yet when Dumbledore went in first. He remembered where Peter supposedly was. He had a small feeling, he was an animagus.

He tracked down Ron, "May I look at your rat my boy?" "Sure." Ron handed Dumbledore his rat, who was squirming to escape his hands. Dumbledore placed a sticking charm on the rat to keep it stuck in his hands before leaving the tower. Amelia and Dumbledore both cast a spell that hit Scabber's with a blue light, which revealed a fat rat like man. Quickly Amellia cast a quick body bind.

"I suppose I'll have to check on Sirius' innocence." Amelia sighed. "So much paperwork." Classes were canceled that day to the students' confusion.

They didn't know the reason why was that letters needed to go out to parents since a criminal was in the school all of last year. And legally all the Weasleys would need to go through a court proceeding. Amellia and him believed nothing would come of it, but it was a precaution by the ministry.
