"Telepathy"
The Battle of Hoenn, it was not as bloody as the Battle for Sinnoh, but just as long as it was getting closer and closer to the home regions of Kanto and Jhoto, where the Comet Empire was formed. The Soldiers of the Comet Empire put up a tough resistance in all the Shore lines. Mossdeep City was the toughest resistance spot to the Alliance forces, but the Hoenn Resistance helped them keep their casualties. Arven completed his First Recon mission in Hoenn near Dewford Town. he reported several AAA guns and a sea mine deployer. Ash had some wailords mask a submarine's signature so it could get close to the mine deployer, when it was close enough, it launched two torpedoes, scoring direct hits on where the sea mines would be stored and sent the ship to the sea floor.
The sub then surfaced and deployed Otron Region Special Forces in Dewford town where they destroyed the AAA Guns and captured the fighting type Gym Leader/city leader that replaced Brawly when he joined the Hoenn Resistance. Arven smiled as he helped liberate a town in Hoenn and even reported to Ash and John about his successful recon. Ash and John both smiled as they looked up and watched as Alliance Jets took over the skies from the Comet Empire's jet fighters. One Jet Fighter for the Comet Empire, Stephan, struck an Alliance Jet fighter in his wing when Charizard Leader got behind him and locked a missile onto him.
"SHIT!" shouted Stephan as he tried to pull away from the missile that was on his tail, his countermeasures were malfunctioning and the missile managed to strike Stephan's Jet fighter, turning it into a ball of fire, killing another traitor to Ash. Charizard Leader smiled as he took down more Jets and became a fighter Ace. John chuckled as he said, "Charizard Leader has shot down many enemy Jets." Ash nodded his head in agreement when a soldier ran up to them and said, "Comet Empire Armor spotted 10 miles from here sirs!" Ash pulled out a radio and said, "Alliance Artillery! Take out those Armor units!" Soon the nearby Artillery guns and Dragon Pokémon fired shells or Draco Meteor to damage the Enemy Armor.
Even wild Pokémon who were tired of the Deforestation or pollution of their Region attacked the Armor to disable them. When Ash and John were told that, Ash said, "I still wish I knew why Tracy did this? Why did he betray me? Why did he lead the traitors to try and force me into giving up being a Pokémon Master?" John put a hand on his shoulder and said, "I Don't know brother, but know that I would never betray you. Not then, and not now. We've come far since that day and we can go farther." Ash smiled and shook John's hand and said, "Thank you for being there since the beginning John… I mean it." John smiled and the two shared a bro hug when Gary came in with Norman and Caroline. Ash smiled and said, "Hello Norman, Caroline."
"Ash, we told you to call us mom and dad." Norman said to his son-in-law. Caroline then hugged Ash as she said, "thank goodness you're here now. How's May?" Ash told them that May was doing very well as were his kids. That was when Mewtwo arrived with May, Aubrey, and Collin. May saw her parents, teared up and hugged them both. Aubrey and Collin hugged their grandparents too. Ash smiled at the family reunion. Norman then said, "Good to see you sweetie, and good to see you two my darling grandkids." Aubrey and Collin hugged him more as Caroline walked up to Ash and said, "I'm so happy you married my daughter."
"As am I madam, your daughter was the only one of the female traveling companions besides Bonnie that stood by my side and I realized that she was the perfect woman for me." May blushed as Norman patted Ash's back and said, "and we're happy you're our son-in-law. That Drew character didn't look like the guy I wanted my daughter to date." Ash chuckled and said, "I guess when I saw him flirting with her back then, I did get a bit jealous, I was just horrible at showing it." May looked and said, "Yeah you were." Ash blushed as John, Aubrey, Collin, and May's parents all laughed when Max ran in and hugged his mom.
"Max! Are you ok? You're not hurt are you? They treating you right?" Caroline asked her son. Max chuckled and said, "Yeah mom I'm doing fine." Caroline smiled and hugged her son again. Ash then said, "Anyway, with Hoenn almost liberated, the only regions left are Johto and Kanto." John and everyone there agreed as the third leader of the Hoenn Resistance, Steven Stone, came in. Ash smiled and shook Steven's hand as he said, "Good to see you Steven, how's your dad?" Steven told them that his dad was ok and back at the Resistance Headquarters. Ash smiled more and said that he was grateful that Steven and his father never doubted him to begin with.
"Of course Ash, we saw how much you worked on to become a Pokémon Master and we knew you'd never give up on your dream." Steven told Ash. That was when a soldier ran into the tent and shouted, "Mossdeep City is under Siege!" in Mossdeep City, the local Alliance forces and resistance fighters ran for cover as Comet Empire ships shelled the city from a distance. Tate and Liza Scrambled to get the civilians to safety when a shell went off. After coming to, Liza saw her brother laying on the ground motionless. Liza ran to her younger twin and tried to wake him up as shells rained around them. Alliance Tanks moving to avoid hits only to roll right into the path of one.
"GET THE CIVILIANS TO THE BUNKERS!" shouted Wallace who had to drag Liza from Tate's body as Alliance fighters flew overhead and bombed the ships that were firing the shells while dragonites used Hyper beam and Dragon Rage on the Transports to stop them from deploying men and Armor onto the shore line. Soon the Comet Empire forces were forced to retreat from Mossdeep City and Alliance forces came and helped rebuild the town and fill in the craters. Ash and John arrived as well and they saw Tate laying among the dead bodies.
"Liza…" Ash said as he worried for the older twin as one civilian shouted, "YOU DID THIS! YOUR ALLIANCE'S WAR COST US PEOPLE WE CARED ABOUT! I HOPE YOUR HAPPY!" as he sat on the ground clutching his dead 11 year old daughter in his arms. John wanted to shout back, but Ash stopped him. Ash then walked over to the man and his daughter, knelt down and put a hand over her head. His hand began to glow and soon the girl began breathing again. The man was shocked and looked at Ash as Ash said, "I am sorry for what happened, but know that I didn't want to start this war, the Comet Empire did. I will be the one who ends it." Ash then walked over to Tate and tried the same trick, but to no avail.
"Was that the only time you did that?" John asked through Telepathy. Ash told John, "It was an attempt and I hoped it would work again" That was when John told Ash, "it can only work once a day and it becomes less effective the longer someone has been killed. It also drains a lot of Aura from the person doing it so it is rarely used." Ash nodded and sighed, "damn it." the Man who had his daughter brought back to life by Ash then walked up to Ash and asked, "What's wrong?" Ash didn't turn his head and said, "My Aura is low, I can't bring back Tate here." The man knelt and sighed before he apologized to Ash for yelling at him.
"No sir I understand, I would be upset if I lost my daughter." Ash told the man before he stood up and walked back to John, who was joined by Liza and Wallace. Ash put a hand on Liza's shoulder as she broke into tears and hugged him. Ash said nothing as he gently held her in his arms to soothe her as best he could. The man then asked, "Is there room in the alliance Army for me sir? Retired Hoenn Army captain." Ash smiled and said, "we welcome all who wish to free the core regions." The man smiled and saluted them and the girl hugged and said, "Are we family now since you used your Aura to bring me back?" Ash chuckled and said, "I don't think that's how it works." That was when John said, "Well… that's not entirely accurate Ash." Everyone around him looked at John as he explained, "You see, when an Aura user uses his Aura to heal a person or in your case bring someone back to life, their Aura is now entwined with the person they were using their Aura on. So technically Ash, you and the girl are in fact family."
Ash, the girl and her dad were all shocked but the girl hugged her new brother. The father smiled and patted Ash's Back. Ash then said, "this is gonna be weird explaining it to my mom and Dad." Later on, the Alliance was able to get all of the Comet forces out and the Region was liberated. Mr. Stone, Steven, and the Resistance forces were hailed as local heroes, the traitors were arrested and would await trial and the Alliance was reinforced with the Hoenn Army. After the alliance Army rested up protecting Hoenn from Comet Empire counter attacks, which were now mostly Air attacks as the Comet Empire's Naval forces have been drastically defeated battle after battle, engagement after engagement.
The Day after the celebrations, Ash and John were called to the medic tent where they saw Clemont beaten and bruised as one doctor said, "some soldiers brought him in here. Civilians caught him off guard and attacked him, Bonnie and Max stepped in and broke the fight up but he was out cold by the time they arrived. He's got broken bones, first and second degree burns, and his head's been hit multiple times." Ash and John looked at Clemont with compassion and felt sorry for him. Ash then said, "I want the names of the civilians who did this. I said Clemont was not to be hurt and I want them to know it."
Few weeks later, the alliance forces got ready to take on the combined Kanjohto Comet Empire Fleet. Ash and John walked to the front of the flagship and stared towards the Horizon. In Kanto, Emperor Tracy stood up and, wearing his combat armor, walked out and watched the Army he had left march by. On the Alliance Flagship, John said, "The War is coming to its conclusion" in Kanto, Tracy said, "I will not stop now." On the Alliance Flagship, Ash said, "We've come too far." Kanto, Tracy said, "They want a final battle to this war." Alliance Flagship, John said, "this will be a fight that will be tough." Tracy and Ash said in their respective locations, "It will end where it all began."
