Just a KISS Chapter 18, a scooby doo fanfic

The black Jeep wrangler peeled down the street, the destination the mall. The girls had told their soulmates that it was what they we're originally planning on doing for the day and the guys agreed, only really caring about spending time together and not the destination.

Spaceman and Velma we're making small conversation in the back seat, Velma had shifted to seat in the middle so she could be right next to Spaceman who put an arm around her shoulders. They we're discussing small little things about each other and getting to know each other better. Daphne smiled at that, her and Starchild had already gotten a head start on that during the crimson witch mystery. Velma and Spaceman were still new to each other, they had to spend time and get to know each other better like her and Starchild had done. But by the looks and sounds of it they seemed to be doing just fine back there.

Speaking of Starchild, him and Daphne were also in conversation. They couldn't sit right up against each other like the two in the back, but they had their hands firmly clasped and intertwined in the middle. Starchild made a mental note to himself to have Spaceman drive back later, so that he could cuddle up to his little lady in the back seat.

The car was filled with conversation and laughter as the two couples talked within themselves about anything and everything. Daphne caught Starchild up on the recent mysteries that the gang went on after they left Kissland, and Starchild talked to her about the next Kiss concert in California followed by one in Denver. All in all, everyone was happy and enjoying being together with each other.

25 minutes later they were pulling up into the mall parking garage, Starchild expertly driving them up to the top floor of the parking garage and parking the car in an empty spot. The mall looked fairly full today, not surprisingly since it was a Sunday afternoon.

Both Starchild and Spaceman quickly got out of the car and basically teleported on the the other side of the car to open the doors for both Daphne and Velma. The two girls giggled at the action and thanked both their soulmates with kisses and hugs. Then the two couples hand in hand walked into the mall, shops on all sides, food courts and the such welcomed them with a nice big fountain in the middle.

" This is a pretty nice mall", commented Spaceman while wrapping an arm around Velma's shoulders. Both him and Starchild had put on black baseball caps and dark sunglasses, they wanted to make extra sure that they wouldn't be recognized by anyone and potentially get their outing ruined with their soulmates.

" Considering it's a small town, it's actually very surprising that they have a mall like this", said Velma, cuddling up on Spaceman's side.

" Well, now that we're here. What would you guys like to do?", asked Daphne, also glued to Starchild's side while the latter had an arm around her shoulder's as well.

" I would like to go to the book store, I have to grab some books for a school project", said Velma.

Spaceman gave his soulmate a big smile, being part of KISS people often thought that Rock n Roll was all they cared about. But truth be told the KISS members were interested in a lot of different things. For example Starchild, he was interested in painting and art. Catman loved video games and technology, and he himself loved to read, then there's Demon on his down time liked sports. The fact that Velma seemed also interested in books and the such filled his heart with happiness, the universe really never made mistakes and this kiss bond proved it.

" Can I come with you to the book store?", asked Spaceman shyly.

Velma gave him a surprised look, he honestly didn't seem like the type to like going into bookstores. But she guessed that's why you should never judge a book by it's cover, and the thought of Spaceman actually interested in books just like she was made her heart flutter in her chest. Besides, she wasn't planning on leaving his side to begin with even if she had to beg him to come with her, but she's really glad that's not the case and that Spaceman actually seems interested in accompanying her to the book store.

" O-o-of c-course!", she said nervously with a blush. Spaceman looked down at her with a huge smile, loving so much how she blushed, she looked so beautiful.

" Then while you guys do that, Starchild would you like to roam around?", asked Daphne to her love. Regardless if it's been great being together all four of them considering how they we're all going through the same thing, both couples we're surely glad for moments alone with each other and their respective soulmates.

" Of course Darlin, lead the way", said Starchild back with a smile that showed off all his perfect teeth.

Both couples bid each other goodbye and promised to meet at the food court around 3pm, which gave them plenty of time to browse around and spend time together, after the plan's were made Starchild and Daphne went up the escalator up to the second floor while Velma and Spaceman continued on the first floor towards the bookstore.

Starchild and Daphne got up to the second floor hand in hand. Daphne felt like she was on cloud nine, she couldn't believe she was here with her love. They we're basically on their first official date as soulmates, the thought making her skip a little.

Starchild looked down at his darlin and saw the bright smile on her face and the pep in her step as they strolled along the shops lining the mall, his own smile formed on his face at seeing how happy she was. Nothing could make him happier then seeing his beautiful soulmate happy, and being here with her on a date made him giddy with excitement. So without even thinking twice he squeezed her hand a little tighter and started skipping himself like a little kid, his smile growing tenfold when his little lady joined him in skipping down the mall. The two on them laughed in delight at their childish behavior as they continued to skip, hands firmly clasped together, uncaring at all about the curious looks being thrown their way. Nothing could distract them from each other at that very moment, it was like they were in their own little bubble that only they existed in.

Daphne suddenly pulled Starchild towards a certain establishment, Starchild looked up as he was being pulled and saw the title outside read, " Music Myster".

Once inside the couple saw it was a neat make shift club, there was a DJ in the center playing tunes while people of all ages mingled about. On one side was a lit LED floor for dancing, on the other was what looked like a small shop full of merchandise, and towards the back was a small food and drinks court.

Daphne looked around in amazement, this place being inside the mall in the small town of Crystal Cove surprised her, they must have built it recently since it hadn't been here the last she was there.

" Wow, this is neat!", exclaimed Starchild also impressed.

" They must have built this recently", explained Daphne to her love.

Before either of them could say anything else, the DJ started playing a certain song. Daphne squealed in delight at the song while Starchild let out a laugh, of course they would play KISS when him and his darlin get here.

As the chorus of the familiar guitar intro started playing, Daphne grabbed her soulmate's arm and pulled him towards the dance floor excitedly, not wanting to miss this opportunity. Starchild laughed once more and let himself be led his darling, not even thinking about fighting her on this. They got to the dance floor just as Starchild heard his own voice coming from the speakers loudly.

Starchild grabbed Daphne and started twirling her around, then he grabbed her and brought her closer to himself while she wrapped her arms around his neck and they both moved with the music, delighted laughter coming from both of them.

Starchild and Daphne twirled around and around the dance floor, catching the attention of other people around the club. Soon enough a few started dancing along on the dance floor with them, infected by the combined energy of the couple. Starchild lifted Daphne up and spun her in the air while the latter had her arms stretched out on either side of her, uncontrollable laughter spilling from her lips as she met eyes with her love who also couldn't stop laughing at the fun they were having. He brought her back down and continued their movements as the song was coming to an end.
