Disclaimer: I do not own Austin & Ally or anything else you may recognize

The three had been searching for hours and still no sign of Austin.

They had checked their apartment, his parents house, all the stores in the mall, Melody Diner, Starr Records, even their old school. It was like Austin had left Miami.

Since they couldn't find the boy on their own and it was to early to file a missing person report they called all their family and friends for help.

Ally had started with his parents, she quickly broke the news of his cancer and explained their situation and they said they would meet her at Sonic Boom in 15.

She then called her parents, Dez's parents, and Trish's parents. They all agreed to meet the trio at Sonic Boom.

Then they dialed all their friends, including Kira, Carrie, Piper (She and Austin had remained good friends after the break up), Dallas (after Ally got over her crush on him in highschool the two ran into each other at a coffee shop when Ally was in college and they became good friends.), and Trent and Brooke. Surprisingly after highschool the two got together and we're madly in love and we're actually good friends with Austin and Ally now. They dialed all their friends and explained the situation.

Everyone agreed to meet at Sonic Boom at what was now... 11:30 at night? Wow Ally hadn't noticed so much time would fly by.

Soon everyone had arrived at the agreed meeting place. Ally began explaining the plan she created while waiting to find her lost boyfriend.

Now 20 minutes later everyone was out on the road searching for the boy.

Ally had carefully devised a foolproof plan to find Austin.

She had Trent & Brooke and Piper & Carrie searching Miami again.

The Wade's were searching Kendall Florida. The Del A Rosa's were searching Homestead, Florida. And the Moon's were searching other parts of the Miami county.

Dallas and Kira were going to Tampa to look for the blonde, leaving Ally, Trish, and Dez left.

Dez and Trish went to the Everglades, leaving Ally by herself.

Ally went to the one place she hadn't thought to look, the beach.

She knew how much her boyfriend loved the beach. The smell of the saltwater, the texture of the sand underneath him, the waves crashing creating a pleasant sound.

The beach had always been one of his happy places, he loved going there to just sit there and think. Ally was certain he was there.

She drove as fast as her car would take her. She even broke the speed limit.

Soon enough she was at the beach. More specifically his special spot, not theirs, not the gangs, just Austin's.

She parked her car and walked over to the sand. The moonlight casted over the sparkling seas truly was a fantastic sight.

She felt a million times lighter when she spotted a familiar figure sitting with their back turned towards her. She observed the figure, they were just admiring the ocean.

She walked up to the distressed boy, she sat down next to him. Not looking at him or touching him, just sitting next to him.

"Hey." She said softly.

The boy didn't reply, just simply turned his head away.

"Listen, I know your mad at me for spilling your secret to Dez and Trish. And Dez for making that stupid dare. The doctors for diagnosing you. Yourself for developing cancer. But I love you, we love you. Whether your sick or healthy, bald or Rapunzel, A popstar or an accountant. We all love you so much and we hate to see you hide yourself away because of a stupid disease." She cupped her hand around his cheek, gently facing him towards her.

She placed a delicate kiss on his lips. He looked her in the eyes, the old mischievous glint was back.

"Accountant huh?" He asked, a smirk appearing on his lips.

She smacked his arm playfully, "Oh shut up. It was the only thing I could think of."

And with that the two just talked for hours. Laughing and smiling, forgetting about their worries and fears and just enjoying each others company.

It was 3 A.M. Austin and Ally had just arrived back home when Ally remembered something.

"OH CRAP!" She suddenly yelled.

"What?!" He asked, startled and confused.

"I forgot to tell everyone I found you! Go get in bed, I'll join you once I finish telling everyone."

He nodded in agreement and went upstairs to shower as she dialed everyone.

She dialed Trish and Dez first, letting them know she found him and wished them a goodnight. She repeated the process with his parents and everyone else. Once she finished calling everyone she trudged upstairs where she found her boyfriend fast asleep in their bed.

'He must be tired.' She thought. She smiled and snapped a sweet picture of her tired boyfriend and made her way to their bathroom. There she took a 20 minute shower, washing away all the stress and anxiety of the day.

She quickly put on her pajamas and climbed into bed. She placed a quick kiss on his cheek and softly whispered a good night to him.

It was the next morning, Ally had awoken early and went into the kitchen to make breakfast. She was flipping pancakes when she felt a strong pair of arms wrap around her waist.

"Good morning." She said as she gave him a quick peck on the lips. When he didn't respond she turned to face him.

"What's wrong? Please don't tell me this is about last night, everything's fine now." She questioned.

"I know... I'm just so embarrassed at how I ran off like that." He replied.

"Babe it's okay, we all do embarrassing stuff. No one is judging you. Do you wanna see Dez and Trish today?"

"No, I'm not feeling all too well."

She placed her hand on his forehead, it was burning up.

"Baby your burning up. Are you okay? Do you have a fever?" She asked concernedly.

"I don't-"

He couldn't finish the sentence as he rushed off to the bathroom. She winced as she heard the retching sounds. She quickly filled a glass of a water and rushed towards her vomiting boyfriend.

"Hey hey, it's ok I'm here." She rubbed circles on his back comfortingly. He groaned as he released his grip on the toilet. He leaned back against the bathtub, face flushed.

"Here rinse your mouth out with this." She handed him the glass of water and he complied.

She helped him get in the shower and went to make their bed. She dialed the doctors as she did the task.

"Hey Dr. Grant, it's Ally. Austin has developed a fever and vomiting and I need to know if that's ok and I should just take care of him at home, or I need to bring him into the hospital." She spoke into the phone.

"Hey Ally, I would just let him rest at home for the day. The fevers are a symptom of the treatment. Just have him rest and relax and he should be good in a couple days. Let me know if it gets worse though." He answered.

She thanked him and hung up. She finished making the bed and went downstairs to start a soup for him.

She went back upstairs about 20 minutes later to see Austin in bed shivering like crazy.

"Hey are you cold?" She asked delicately.

He nodded while shivering and she set off to the linen closet. She brought back one of his large hoodies, 2 quilts, and some fuzzy socks. She tucked him in and went downstairs to clean.

Hours later she went to check on him. He was in bed asleep. She walked over and placed a kiss on his forehead. He shivered lightly at the touch but went back to bed.

*2 weeks later*

Austin had recovered a few days later. He and Ally had just chilled at home for a week or so. But now it was time to get back to regular life.

First it was time to meet up with Trish and Dez, both had been concerned about the boy and it was time they finally got their answers.

So here they were all in the practice room, avoiding eye contact.

"So..." Dez started.

"So..." Trish replied.

"So..." Ally continued.

"This is getting annoying, what do you want to know?" The sick boy asked, slightly irritated.

"Why did you hide it from us? We all love you Austin. You know we would have helped you." Dez asked, an expression that one could only describe as hurt and betrayal present on his face.

"I was scared." He replied monotonous but still avoiding eye contact.

"Why?" Trish asked curiously.

"I don't know..." He replied questioningly, like he was unsure of himself.

"You know we wouldn't have judged you right? I've seen you do way too many embarrassing things to judge you for this." Dez joked, trying to lighten to the mood.

The other three chuckled at the redhead but all went back to avoiding eye contact.

"Are you gonna die?" The Latina asked timidly, she would never admit it but she really did care about the two bozos she and Ally befriended and she would hate to think about if she lost one.

Austin and Ally exchanged terrified glances, neither of them had thought of him passing and neither wanted to think about it at all.

"I don't know..." he replied shaken.

Trish instantly felt guilty once she saw how startled he was, she only wanted to know if they knew or not, not scare the poor boy even more.

Ally saw the guilty look on her friends face and placed a hand on her shoulder and gave her a reassuring smile.

The foursome sat in silence for another five minutes before Dez suggested theh play a game.

"What game?" Ally asked, already rifling through her board game selection.

"Hmm let's play... Monopoly!" The red head shouted enthusiastically. Ally giggled at her friends enthusiasm before retrieving the game and setting up.

"I dibs that hat!" The Latina called out.

"Nuh uh Trish! I already dibs that hat." Dez replied.

"No way carrot top, the hat is mine!"

"But Trish you know I'm always the hat!"

"Too bad ginger! I already have it!" She flashed the small piece of metal between her fingers.

The two squabbled as they fought over the hat, both trying to grab the item from each other. Ally let this go on for another minute before finally stepping in.

"Both of you stop! We are twenty two year old adults not children or teenagers, so stop fighting and give me the hat." She commanded.

Dez and Trish rolled their eyes before letting go of the object and giving it to Ally.

"Thank you, here." She said giving the hat to Austin. He smiled at her as she continued setting up the board game.

"Fine I guess I'll be...the dog!" The Latina exclaimed happily.

"But Trish! The dog is my favorite!"

Austin and Ally were fighting.

Austin's secret had gotten out. The two had been goofing off at Sonic Boom early this morning when Ally had knocked his beanie off his head. She had convinced him to leave it off since no one was around and it was extremely hot that morning.

He agreed since again, it was extremely hot out and he didn't see anyone around. Austin sat on the counter as Ally counted cash behind the register. Ally reminded him about his next appointment and they continued their conversation about his cancer, not knowing someone was watching them.

"Oh Austin, I just remembered you have an appointmenttomorrow at 8am so please go to bed early. I'll pick you up at 7:30." Ally said as she removed the change from the register.

"I can drive myself Ally. You just have fun with Trish, whoknows how long you guys will be up till tonight." Austin responded.

"I know you can drive yourself, the doctors are just worried about you having a fainting spell on the road so they told me not to let you drive." She stated as she continued organizing the cash into neat piles.

"Oh..." was all he responded as he looked down at his shoes, avoiding his girlfriends prying eyes.

"Austin what's wrong?" The songwriter questioned.

"Nothing it's just that...nothing."

"Austin Monica Moon tell me what is going on or I'll... I'll stop giving you kisses for a week!" She threatened, a smirk evident on her lips.

"Allyyy." He whined.

"Austinnn." She mocked him.

"But seriously tell me what's going on baby." She questioned, concern present in her tone.

"I don't know, I just hate feeling like an invalid or that people will treat me different because of stupid cancer."

"Austin babe, i'm so sorryI didn't know you felt that way."

"it's okay. Let's forget about cancer though, what are you and Trish's plans for your sleepover." He asked enthusiastically.

"Well," she started,

But little did they know when they were talking about his cancer, a now 16 year old Megan Simms was watching in the distance. Snapping photos and recording their every word.

When they finished talking about his cancer Megan left, satisfied with her "totes juice epic new story".

She went back to her office at Cheetah Beat, instantly going to the computer and typing a jaw-dropping, drink-spilling, never-expecting-that story.

She finished it about an hour later, proofreading quickly before hitting submit, the latest edition of Cheetah Beat would be published in the morning.

Ally woke up at 7 in the morning, her alarm had gone off and she quickly stopped it before going into Trish's bathroom to get ready for the day.

Ally had showered and dressed, brushed her teeth and did her makeup, and was now curling her hair. She wrapped another strand around the heated wand when the sleepy Latina stumbled into the bathroom.

"Good morning Trish." Ally greeted pleasantly, she was in a good mood today and nothing could ruin it.

"Morning Ally." Trish replied groggily, she grabbed her toothbrush and toothpaste, quickly squirting some on before brushing her teeth. After a few minutes of brushing Trish spit the foamy soap out and rinsed her mouth.

She left the bathroom and went downstairs when she heard her phone go off multiple times. She quickly retrieved it when she noticed she had dozens of notifications.

She clicked on the first one which from Dez, 4 missed calls and a text that just read "Call me ASAP." Now slightly worried the Latina called back her friend, ignoring the other messages.

"Oh Trish thank god you picked up. Where's Ally? Why is she not answering her phone? She needs to be here right now Austin's a mess."

Now she was really confused. What happened? Why was Austin a mess? What did he need Ally for?

"Dez? What happened? What's wrong with Austin why does he need Ally." The girl asked confusedly.

"You haven't heard? It's all over the internet. News about Austin having cancer got leaked by Cheetah Beat. Someone had recorded Austin and Ally yesterday at Sonic Boom."

Trish dropped the phone. News about Austin cancers' been leaked? This was bad. Trish knew how important it was to keep it a secret, heck nobody would know if Ally hadn't gone to the hospital with him that day.

"Trish? Hello Trish?" A voice rang out from the phone she had dropped on the floor. She hurriedly picked it up before placing it back by her ear.

"Sorry dropped my phone, I'll go tell Ally we'll meet you at their apartment in 20."

She hung up the phone before racing upstairs to Ally, any plans she had for breakfast were long forgotten.

Ally had finished curling her hair and was now in front of the mirror applying some lip gloss. Ally turned her head as she saw her friend next to her, she returned the cap back on her lip gloss before turning her attention the out of breath girl.

"Trish what's wrong? Why are you so out of breath?" Ally questioned.

"Austin...cancer...leaked...Cheetah Beat...help...now!!!" She managed to squeeze out in between breaths.

"What?" Ally asked confusedly.

Trish rolled her eyes before continuing,

"I said, Cheetah Beat leaked that Austin has cancer and we need to go help him now!!"

Ally dropped the lipgloss bottle, it rolled around in the sink as she stared at Trish with wide eyes.

Ally shook herself out of the bathroom and dashed out to grab her things, she hurriedly told Trish to get dressed.

The girls raced out of Trish's apartment, quickly hopping into her car and driving to Austin and Ally's house.

Ally gripped the car handle tightly, she knew they needed to be there quickly but Trish was going really fast. She was going so fast Ally was surprised they hadn't been pulled over yet.

They made it to the apartment in record time, slamming the car doors and running to Ally's front door. They knocked on the door rapidly till they heard a faint "it's open!" From Dez.

Trish threw the door open and Ally ran to their bedroom as fast as she could. She finally stopped at the door frame where she saw Austin sobbing as Dez tried to console him.

Ally made her way towards Austin, lightly shoving Dez and wrapping her own arms around Austin.

"Austin shh shh it's okay." Ally tried to console him. "It's going to be alright."

Austin broke away from her embrace to quickly wipe his eyes, "N-no it's n-not." He countered, he grabbed his phone, showing her his Tweeter feed before sobbing into another pillow.

Ally's heat dropped as she read the twits, it was like all his fans disappeared because there was not a single supportive twit to him.

katemcvey29: ew the untalented freak has cancer on top of all his problems how pathetic @austinmmoon

lunyluna18: gross @austinmmoon

Ashfbio2919: he looks like a disgusting mole rat @austinmmoon

sweetgirl39!: hope the cancer kills him @austinmmoon

Arrow191929: poor freak has Monica as middle name, is an untalented waste of space, has a gross disease and a bald head, what a pathetic loser @austinmmoon

Ally dropped the phone as she read those comments. Tears rushed to her eyes, how could people say such terrible things about a person they don't even know that's going through such a hard time?

She bit her lip to stop the tears, she needed to be strong for Austin.

So for the rest of the day the three of them just comforted and consoled Austin, assuring him everything would be alright.

Austin had a meeting with Jimmy today. Once the news about his health got out Jimmy had called Trish and scheduled a meeting to talk to Austin.

Ally was flipping pancakes in the kitchen, the meeting was in an hour and they had to leave in half an hour so she figured she would make breakfast first.

She flipped the last pancake and placed them on plates. She called Austin down to the table so they could eat together.

She turned around when she heard loud thuds from the stairs, as Austin came into her view she took in his appearance.

He was wearing some dark wash jeans with a few rips, a grey t-shirt, and of course the beanie he had worn so often.

"Here I made breakfast."

He thanked her as Ally placed a kiss on his cheek as he sat down, instantly devouring the pancakes.

The duo has just arrived at Jimmy's office, they had gotten off the elevator and were walking to Jimmy's room hand in hand.

They entered the room to where they saw Jimmy of course, Kira; which wasn't strange as she liked to sit in in meetings from time to time, a few of Jimmy's lawyers and assistants, Trish as she was Austin's manager, Dez which was weird considering he was never there for meetings, Austin's parents which was even weirder considering they hadn't been to one of his meetings since he was a teenager, and most surprisingly Dr. Grant.

Jimmy took notice as the young couple sat down and the meeting commenced.

"Austin, Ally, glad your here today." Jimmy said with a genuine smile.

"Hey Jimmy." Ally replied and Austin just waved.

"Austin this is a very serious matter. I know you were scared about the cancer but next time something like this happens you need to tell us. Not just because we all care about you but for legal reasons too. You're really lucky because according to your contract you are legally supposed to tell us these things. But aside from all that were here for you Austin, and Trish being the responsible manager she is has already cleared your schedule and completed anything. So for the next few months all your going to be focusing on is getting okay?" Jimmy finished.

For the rest of the meeting everyone focused on completing anything that needed their signatures and paperwork and unfortunately for Austin a surgery was booked.

"See I told you it wouldn't be that bad." Ally said as she and Austin left the office, hand in hand once again. He rolled his eyes playfully and gave his girlfriend a loving kiss.

"Love the things you do it's how you do the things you love"

"But yes it's a love song"

"Yes a love song"

Ally sat with Austin on the hospital bed, just singing the new version of their song to him to calm their raging nerves.

Today was the day Austin had a life altering surgery to remove the cancer, the bad part was there was only a 50% chance he would make it.

Ally continued singing the lyrics to "Yes A Love Song" to him, hoping if she sung about her love to him it would calm the thick tension.

"I love the way you get me but correct me when I'm wrong"

"Yes a love song"

"Yes a love song"

She finished the song and leaned into kiss him, her eyes fluttering when she missed. She looked back at him, a look of hurt and confusion present on her face.

"Why didn't you kiss me back?" She asked timidly. When he didn't respond she grabbed his chin gently but firm, forcing him to look at her.

"Austin what's wrong?" She asked, the hurt she had felt seconds before was long gone and now replaced with worry for the sweet boy in front of her.

"I'm scared." He whispered, barely audible but she heard him.

"Why? You know the surgery will be fine and Trish, Dez, your parents, and I will all be waiting here." She reassured him.

"How are you so sure? The doctors in said it's only a 50% chance I'll survive."

She intertwined their hands before looking straight into his eyes.

"Because I know. Now kiss me." They both smiled before leaning so into a sweet kiss.

"Austin Moon?" The young nurse called out, interrupting the couples kiss leaving them both red as tomatoes.

Ally gave her boyfriend one more kiss and a reassuring smile before exiting the room as the nurse took him into surgery. There she joined the anxious group supporting him.

Austin had been in surgery for hours and still nothing from the doctors.

Ally had done everything she could in the hospital as she waited for the time to pass. She had browsed through the gift shop, ate in the cafeteria, talked to other patients and visitors, heck even helped some nurses wash and fold laundry she was so desperate.

After the 6 hour mark Ally was told to go home for he wouldn't be out for another 4 or so hours and she could see him in the morning.

Her family forced her to go home, saying they would all meet right back there again in the morning.

Ally settled into bed that night, even as Austin became weaker she still missed having his strong arms wrapped around her.

Ally was so petrified the entire night that Austin wouldn't make it she didn't sleep for more than half an hour.

The next morning Ally woke up at 7, quickly getting ready and rushing the hospital to be there right at 8am when visiting hours start.

Ally was in her car driving to the hospital when she got caught in a traffic jam. Several minutes passed by and she became more and more anxious. Even worse, her phone died and now she has no idea of Austin was alright or not.

Finally around 8:30 the jam let up and Ally sped to the hospital, she was going so fast she was surprised she hadn't been pulled over.

She raced to the hospital doors and running through the entrance. Quickly checking in and rushing to an elevator. She slammed the button inside, not waiting for anyone else.

It was like time had stopped. While the elevator ride had only lasted a minute or two to Ally it felt like an eternity.

The elevator doors opened up and Ally ran to her friends and family who were all gathered anxiously.

She conversed with them for several minutes when a doctor stepped out, a grim expression on his face.

"Austin Moon?" The doctor called out hesitantly.

Everyone's attention turned to him and as they saw his grim expression everyone's eyes began to water.

"I'm sorry."
