I call this a preface, but it is actually an extended author's note to explain the purpose of this work and to give some pointers as to how each chapter is going to work.
I decided in a whim to put all of my seperate stories into one big collection, as I have done in Wattpad. So, this is what this is; a collection of short - or lengthier - stories focusing on the relationship between Caitlyn and Vi.
All the works posted here have existed prior to this collection and have been published before in various forms from 2017 up to today. I decided to take the time to revise and edit them in order to fit everything with the current canon plus the events of Arcane to the best of my ability - with the exception of stories marked as alternative universe (au's). Here you may find stories you have read before - or perhaps not. During editing, I might consider it appropriate to change some titles too, so if you're a veteran reader, please don't be too surprised.
Some stories which I consider too contradictory with the current canon (as well as my own perception of the characters) have been removed entirely and I will not be including them in this collection. The only exception to this "rule" is a small series of two connected stories titled "Letters to Cupcake" and "Letters to Caitlyn". I decided not to merge these two into this collection due to the fact they are multichaptered stories and thus are better as seperate works, as well as for reasons of brevity. Another story that will not be included here is "On the Count of Four: Vi" which, as part of a four-part series, will remained published as a seperate work.
I've decided to organize the stories in alphabetical order and not chronologically as I first intended, as it is much easier for me to do so. Once I have effectively edited and posted all of my old works in this collection, newest stories will cease to remain in alphabetical order. The stories aren't connected with each other, chronologically or otherwise, and you are free to read them in what order suits you best.
At the beginning of each chapter, I'm giving a word count plus a brief summary of what follows - as well as whatever other information I consider relevant, such as trigger warnings or citing inspiration from another source of media. I'm tagging this as "mature" right away, for certain stories deal with more adult themes and will be indicated at the beginning of each chapter.
I do not intend to update this very frequently due to the amount of work such a project requires, although most of the stories have already been edited at least once.
I promise I will not be abusing more of your time with this lengthy author's note. Those who remain in this graveyard of a website, thank you for reading.
