The Game Begins
I don't own any of this, its just my take on a few stories.
POV
I was just starting grade 3. I had already learned that no matter what I could do, always let your cousin do better. They hadn't said it like that, and my back was still hurting from some angles. I'd tried everything to get away from them, but nothing worked. I'd go to the police, and they'd simply tell me to come back with proof. Even the day I came in with a broken arm. I wasn't a religious person, but I'd begun to pray for help to either get away from these people, or to be able to get rid of them. Either way, I just wanted them gone. As the day ended, I heard pounding footsteps behind me.
"Oi, Freak!" a familiar voice screamed behind me. "Freak, I'm talking to you. You'd better listen or I'm gonna hurt you."
Shrugging, and knowing that it hurt less when Dudley hit me than when his dad did, I spun on the spot, and barely had time to register the fist flying at my face before I was thrown backwards. As I hit the ground, I hear a loud sound.
PING!
Not paying attention to the sound, I stared at the figure in front of me. They were slightly transparent, and hovering. I started to wonder if I should've taken the beating from my Uncle because it seems Dudley broke my brain.
"Took a tumble there, eh? Well don't just stay down, get back up, you have stuff to do now." The figure spoke, but not sound was coming from it. "I'll be back when you've gotten stronger. Work hard, young one."
Before I could question anything, I saw Dudley walk through the figure, causing it to explode into smoke, got up and started running. I wasn't the fastest runner, but I was noticeably faster than Dudley and his gang.
PING! PING! PING!
I kept hearing that sound, but couldn't see anything making it, so I pushed a little bit harder, and managed to dodge into a cubbyhole to hide while they kept looking for me.
PING!
Growling, I looked around for anything that could be making the sound, but froze when I saw a bunch of colors flowing in my arms, under where my skin should be. Starting to panic, I gingerly pushed a finger into my arm, relaxing somewhat when I felt skin, but panicking as red and green flowed towards the feeling. I realized it was getting dark, so I started running to the Dursleys place before night fell.
PING!
As I got closer to the house, I felt something wash over me, at the exact same time as the PING was heard. Thinking it was just me finally starting to go crazy, I ignored it, and wearily opened the door.
"FREAK! YOUR LATE! WE ARE ALL HUNGRY, SO DINNER HAD BETTER BE READY BY THE TIME THIS MOVIE IS DONE!" A female voice rang out, then a horses face popped around the corner. "WELL WHY ARE YOU JUST STANDING THERE?"
"Yes, ma'am. I'll get it done." I replied.
I went to the fridge, and seen a few frozen dinners. Debating momentarily if my body was tired enough to just toss that in the microwave and head to bed, dealing with the beating in the morning, or if I was going to cook a full dinner. The debate was only momentary.
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
As I got the microwavable meal ready, I looked at my arms again, and noticed the black inky like flow of stuff was far stronger than the green and red. Taking note of that, I waited for the microwave to be near done, before taking it out, and putting it on the table. After repeating that process 3 more times for the fat man, I went to my cupboard, and huddled down, knowing that the morning was going to hurt bad.
A/N: Sorry for the short chapter, I'm going to grind out a few levels before Hogwarts so that I can push the story a bit further than what I have written. R&R
