Hello Everybody Zelda777 here with a new story here on the fanfiction site. Although I have already written some of this in a notebook, I have to add some parts to it. I hope you will enjoy it.
As soon as Link returned from Termina he went straight to Lon Lon Ranch to return Epona back to Malon. Once he got there Malon ran to greet him
"Hey, Fairy Boy where have you been?" Malon asked.
"I told you before I left," Link answered. "I went to go find my fairy Navi."
"Did you find her?"
Link shook his head, "No, I didn't but I had a great adventure trying to find her."
"It seems you find adventure wherever you go."
"Well, thank you for letting me use Epona," Link said, "Now I'll have to go debrief Zelda."
"Don't be a stranger," Malon yelled as she watched him leave. Why did he have to leave so soon.
Link left Lon Lon Ranch and walked to the castle drawbridge. He noticed that it was about to close so he ran.
Whew, I made it just in time. Link thought as he made his way to the inn for the night before he heads to the castle to talk to Zelda.
Link walked into the inn when the innkeeper greeted him.
"Welcome to the Castle Town Inn."
"I'd like a room for the night, please," Link said.
The innkeeper nodded, "Of course, for one night it will cost you 60 rupees."
Link pulled the rupees out of his pocket and handed it to the innkeeper who then in turn handed him the key.
"Your room is number 35."
"Thank you very much." Link said as he walked passed the desk to head to the room marked 35. He unlocked the door and was shocked about the way the room looked. He walked to the window and noticed the Temple of Time.
I don't really want to go to that place again. Link thought as he crawled in bed in nothing but his underwear. He stared at the ceiling and pretty soon he fell asleep.
The next morning
Link's eyes opened to the sound of the Cucco squawking outside. He got out of bed and put his clothes on and grabbed a peach off the table and took a bite out of it.
I wonder how Ruto is doing. Link thought as he remembered the bossy but sweet princess of the Zora's. He walked out of his room and he noticed that no one was at the counter. So he set the key on it then left and headed to the castle. He snuck around the castle courtyard being completely stealthy when all of a sudden he heard a familiar voice.
"Still trying to sneak in to see Princess Zelda I see."
Link turned and he saw Impa. "I'm sorry but I just returned from a different land."
"I'm sure Zelda would like to hear about that different land." Impa said, "But, I'm sure that's not what you want to talk to her about that do you."
"No, I'd like to return the Ocarina of Time to her." Link answered, "Because I think there is no threat of Ganondorf anymore."
"Alright, at least allow me to escort you to her."
Link nodded his head in agreement. He followed Impa all the way to the royal courtyard where he first met Zelda in the other timeline.
"Your Highness, there is someone here to talk to you," Impa said.
Zelda turned and she was surprised to see Link.
"Thank you Impa you may leave now."
Impa bowed then left and Link walked to Zelda as he pulled out the Ocarina of Time.
"I've come to return this to you since there is no threat of Ganondorf anymore," Link started. "I don't think I want to keep something so precious to the History of Hyrule on me."
Zelda took it and closed her eyes, "Thank you, now it's a good thing that you are back because I've talked to my father."
"What did you talk to him about?" Link asked.
"I told him about you in the other timeline how you were the Hero of Time and I want you to join the royal guard."
Link looked down, "You didn't have to do that you know, now I won't be able to earn my place in the royal guard."
"Well, he turned me down anyways." Zelda said, "But he said you could still join the Hylian Military."
"I think I will do that, but I was thinking about finding me a place in Kakariko Village."
Zelda looked at him, "Is there any specific reason you don't want to live here in the castle."
"Well, this place has too much bad memories with when Ganondorf invaded the castle and killed your father and took over the entire Kingdom of Hyrule," Link answered.
"But, that didn't happen anymore."
Link nodded, "I know it didn't but I have regrets that I couldn't stop him before your father was killed. If I had then you wouldn't of had to flee."
"It's not your fault," Zelda said trying to comfort him by putting her hand on his shoulder. But he pulled his shoulder away from her and left the castle.
Why is he acting like that can't he tell that I love him? Zelda thought as Impa walked into the room.
"Where's Link at?" Impa asked.
"He left to I don't know where." Zelda answered, "He seems that he failed me by letting Ganondorf kill my father in the other timeline."
"I know you really care for him but I think he loves someone else," Impa said remembering what Ruto was telling her while they were waiting for Link to save the Final Sage Nabooru.
"How do you know that?" Zelda asked curious about who it is, "And who is it?"
"It's not my place to tell you."
Link left to head to Zora's domain so he could see Princess Ruto. As soon as he got there he walked to the throne room to see King Zora but the guard stopped him right at the door.
"You don't have any authorization to come past here."
"Link, what are you doing here?" A voice said behind him and he instantly recognized the voice.
He turned and saw Princess Ruto. Link just stared at her with his mouth open.
"What are you staring at?" Ruto asked giggling at him.
"I just wanted to see you but the guards wouldn't let me past."
"And why did you want to see me?"
Link blushed and just ran off.
Great Goddesses he is so handsome. Ruto thought as she walked to the Zora fountain to feed Lord Jabu Jabu. I hope to one day marry him and have children with him.
Link ran off to head to Kakiriko Village when he got there he tried to understand what he feels about Ruto.
Why am I feeling like this? Link thought, Why is it that every time I see her I get so shy and embarrassed?
