Late summer, Lucius took the boys to get their school supplies. Harry was glad to be able to go to Flourish and Blotts with his temporary guardian and friends, even if he had the misfortune to go at the same time as the Weasleys. The youngest girl stepped a tad too close to him, "I'm Weasley Ginny." When she held her hand out, palm face down, Harry went to kiss it, before Ron intervened. "How dare you corrupt my sister, Potter." Molly's mouth turned into a thin line, while her face blushed, "Ronald Weasley! How dare you act like that when someone exchanges greetings with your sister." Molly pulled Ron away by his ear.

"Where were we? I'm Potter Harry." Harry winked, "Though I hope soon, I can become Harry to you. I don't judge one for their family." George smiled, "With what you think about muggles-" "It isn't surprising when you are fine with muggleborn." Fred continued. Arthur couldn't help but ask the unspoken question, "Did not one muggle intervene? Even a pat on the back?" "No, sir. According to them, I'm a delinquent. This is because accidental magic is condemned by muggles. They believe you're acting up. And don't rely on kindness of muggles raising you either. They encourage it." Arthur seemed perplexed by this revelation? Was he wrong about muggles? Were they only fascinating in a bad way? He had to think about it. Granger seemed fine, and liked her parents. She would be meeting up with them soon, after her parents were being shown around the wizarding world. Were her parents too deeply involved? They seemed standoffish to him and his kids. Was it because they were wizards?

As if on cue, Granger came into the shop. She saw Harry inside the store with the Weasleys, and those muggleborn traitors. Their parents supporting them, and they spit in their face. "Potter." "Granger." Potter stated with more indifference than the anger Granger put on his name. Lucius was keeping an eye out on his and the Weasley's charges, it was unbecoming to fight in a store. No need to act like muggle trash. He had to be careful because his mudbloods were bound to be raised with all the dirty habits he seen from them. "You dare talk bad about my family?" Granger spat, "When our families do nothing but support-" "SUPPORT!" Harry exploded. "My family beat and starved me because I am a wizard. I had to use my magic to survive!" "You shouldn't be using magic outside of school!" Harry was holding back a punch, not that he wouldn't mind Granger's face rearranging, "Would you rather me be dead!?" "You're exaggerating." Harry took a deep breath, trying to keep from cursing the shame of wizards, "I know you don't know better, but you have no right to determine what in my life is true." Harry walked away before he killed the girl. He could cast a successful killing curse at her if he wanted.

What Granger didn't notice was nearly every Weasley was looking at her with disappointment. Lucius' party was looking at her with unhopeful disgust. "Ms. Granger!" Arthur snapped, scarring his children, "I never want to hear that out of your mouth again! If I do, you will not be welcome here. Accusing someone of exaggerating abuse is why it goes uncaught. You may be Ron's friend, but I will not tolerate this."

Ginny spoke up, "Can I go shopping with Potter if Mr. Malfoy is okay with it?" Arthur was conflicted, one one hand, it stops Ginny from making a horrible friend, on the other it was Lucius Malfoy. After a long consideration Arthur agreed, "I suppose it's okay." "Do you wish to meet here?" Arthur nodded.

Before Lucius could leave, Gildory Lockhart started his book signing. "Should've brought a hat." Lucius mumbled, while trying to cast a quick glamor charm on Harry. But before he could, Lockhart spotted the celebrity, "Harry, come on up here." Harry looked at Lucius for help. "I'm sorry Mr. Lockhart, but we are busy. Time is off the essence." Lucius had a firm grip on Harry's arm before leading them out of the shop. "It's crowded, we'll meet outside." Lucius whispered to Arthur. How dare that man! His charge was his to mold, not a prop for Lockhart!

Lucius wanting to start conversation asked Ginny, "Think you'll be a Gryffindor like your family?" Ginny stumbled, "I know they'd want me to. I don't want Ron in my ear. All I heard is how Potter made the world hate muggles. I'm glad Potter said what was needed. Even if the truth is shameful, we were ignorant." "What does your family say to these views?" Draco asked, a little uncomfortable to be beside a Weasley. He could tolerate Moon, she was learning how the world works, a bit slower than he liked, but she was trying. Weasley was a blood traitor family, so they may be more muggle loving than not. "I don't say anything. I'd be all but asked to leave. My dad is a muggle fanatic and mum would think I'm judging people on race!" "That's a shame." Draco felt a miniscule pang of sympathy for the youngest Weasley. Harry put his arm around her, making her blush, "I hope you're a Ravenclaw." "Any house is fine with me." Draco mumbled. She was likely going to be a Gryffindor, but he wanted to see what fallout would come if she wasn't.
