Hikaru and Saya got on their horses, Yellow Thunder and Pink Flower. The intense after-breakfast complications with their teammates got to their heads, and the pair needed to cool themselves off (not literally by way of another vulgarity-filled sexual consummation but a decent, innocent kind of solace at a quiet place somewhere). It may involve some kissing, laughing, crying, and getting angry about different things here and there, but it'd mostly consist of a quiet time for them to just talk to each other and hold one another tight without the exaggerated intimacy...all during one clear, sunny afternoon.
Throughout their ride through the forest near Silver Star Ranch, they didn't talk to each other. They let their minds wander as they search for a very good spot to just be alone, just the two of them. No teammates to bother them, and especially not Haruhiko, Yuuta, Bokku, or even their enemies.
Suddenly, Hikaru spotted a cave underneath a cliff. He turned to Saya, pointed to that cave, and motioned for her to follow him. They lashed their horses as they galloped a bit faster to the opening. Upon reaching the entrance, they pulled back their handles on their mares. Their horses neighed and came to a full stop. The pair then disembarked and walked inside.
At a quarter of a mile inside, they stopped. Hikaru took out some firewood from his backpack and laid them out in a circular motion at one spot of the cave. He took out his lighter and ignited a bonfire. He and Saya then leaned against a wall, slowly eased themselves down, put their packs beside themselves, and sat next to each other.
"So, what now, Wolf Boy?" Saya broke the silence as she asked the question and leaned on one shoulder of Hikaru.
Hikaru let an arm rest on one elevated knee as another leg laid out flat in front of him. He sighed, "I don't know, Dear. By now, Hayate must've told Ryouma and Hyuuga about our little romp last night. For all I know, Gouki's still kinda keeping this a secret as he's preoccupied with some housekeeping." He smirked and scoffed before adding, "What a champ!"
Saya tugged both of her arms around Hikaru's as she still leaned on him. She began to whimper as little streams of tears fell from her eyes and down through her cheeks.
On occasion, Hikaru would be the more emotional one than Saya (on top of his brashness yet somewhat quick wit in certain situations), and she'd be the one that's more rational between the two of them. But, this time called for Saya to be more emotional than she usually was. Hikaru then turned to her with a concerned look and let a hand caress her face, gently wiping her tears away with his thumb as he whispered, "Saya, please, don't. You'd look more beautiful if you're not crying."
"Thank you, Hikaru. Usually, I'd be the strong one in situations like this. But, I feel it's the opposite right now," she mumbled through her continued sad whimpers.
"And, I'd be the weak one, throwing a tantrum on all corners of the globe. But, I feel it's the opposite for me as of now, too," Hikaru playfully remarked as he fully hugged Saya. He planted a kiss on her forehead. Saya just couldn't help but melt like butter in his hands as he does this kind of stuff. The compassionate, affectionate side of him despite his aggressive (and occasionally careless) nature, greatly visible for all to see. The former two traits compose of how she mostly likes him, especially after they disabled that Balban force field engulfing all of Shinjuku that one time.
As Saya moved her head from Hikaru's shoulder to his chest, she asked, "If I hadn't taken those pills, would you still love me and our little one the same?"
In biggest earnest, Hikaru lovingly quipped to his pink paramour, "It'll be more than that, Babe. I'd move heaven and Earth for you both!"
"Awww. That's why I love you, Boo Boo!" Saya leaned close to his face to kiss his lips.
"Boo Boo? I think I can get used to that pet name," Hikaru smiled as he closed his eyes and kissed her.
Hayate, Ryouma, and Hyuuga walked out of the stable to meet up with Hikaru and Saya in an effort to talk things out about their blossoming relationship in a more civilized manner. Hayate cupped his hands in front of his face and, at the top of his lungs, shouted, "Hikaru! Saya! You can come over here to us. Let's talk! We're not mad!"
No response from the two as they weren't in the vicinity of the household, let alone one of the sides of the house where they were at not too long ago.
"What the? Where did they go?!" Hayate wondered out loud in surprise.
"They must've taken off into the woods!" Ryouma cried out as he felt a little shock within him. Hyuuga didn't say anything; instead, he just crossed his arms, looked down on the ground, and shook his head.
From inside the house, Gouki was sweeping the living room floor when he heard Hayate and Ryouma's shouting outside. He suddenly stopped his chores as he put his broom by the wall beside a couch and stormed out of the front of the house. He then went down the small steps and rushed to the trio's presence. "Guys, what's going on?!" he bellowed in a deeply concerned manner.
"Hikaru and Saya just tabbed away from us. Probably got shook up upon knowing that we're onto them," Ryouma replied in an equally concerned tone.
All of a sudden, Hayate furiously approached Gouki, grabbed him by the lapel of his vest, and looked up at the giant with fire in his eyes. Hayate snarled, "Did you know anything about their little...thing with each other, you big lug?!"
Very shocked, Gouki stuttered, "Uh, y-y-y-ye-ye-ye-yeah."
"Since when?! Answer me, dammit!" Hayate violently shook and shoved Gouki away to get the big man to recollect himself and somewhat composed again.
Gouki looked away from Hayate and turned himself aside, still in view of the 2nd senior team member.
He looked down on the ground, fully ashamed that he's about break the quiet pact he made with his two great mates and was on the verge of tears as he's about to explain himself. He tried to take a deep breath and come up with precise words but felt his heart skip repeatedly like a sports car's set of engine pistons pumping in conjunction with an almost supersonic driving speed down the freeway. Although, within seconds of Gouki composing himself, Hayate managed to simmer down a bit.
"Hayate, I promised to keep this a secret for Hikaru and Saya as I greatly love both of them like they were my real little brother and sister. But, I suppose I'll have to break that promise for the sake of the unity within this entire team."
Hayate crossed his arms as he began to sympathize with the giant. "Go on. I'm listening," he begrudgingly yet calmly demanded of Gouki. Ryouma and Hyuuga flanked him as the brothers also became increasingly eager to listen.
Gouki, ready to disclose his point of view of last night's little happenstance, faced the trio, and smoothly broke it down, "Both of them hinted that they, indeed, had an intimate rendezvous somewhere. I dare not use that word (or any similar ones) right now as I'm explaining things to you guys."
He held out a hand with palm down (just as he did to his soul brother and sister as part of his now-broken pact to them), "But, please do understand that I'm doing my best for that."
The trio nodded. Ryouma motioned for Gouki to continue by waving a hand, palm up, from down below his waist to his front.
"Hikaru entered the house first, then Saya. I was grabbing some chocolate milk and Chips Ahoy! Cookies because I couldn't sleep last night. I was thinking about Suzuko's new tomato recipes for my cookbook as I sat on the table and mowed down my late night snack. Hikaru popped his head into the kitchen when I greeted him. I asked him where he'd been, and he said he took a thorough cleaning dip at the lake, towel slung on his shoulder and shower kit in hand. I also asked if he was by himself, and he droned out on his words."
"That's when Saya popped her head in as well. I was shocked, couldn't believe it myself. With great concern for both of them, I told those two then and there that I promised I wouldn't tell anyone about their secret little tryst. They then softly laughed, left me alone to finish my snack, and went to their bedrooms to pass out. By then, I can only assume that they were both hugely satisfied about their romantic consummation."
"Somehow, by that point, too, I kinda had a dormant intuition about them starting to get really close to each other. Other than that, I swear I haven't had any clue how they managed to keep it under wraps themselves...until last night."
Before closing out his confession, Gouki turned his open down palm into a sole index finger pointing at the trio. Then, a straight, sharp, and slightly angry closing remark came out of his lips, "But, one thing's for certain – Those two love each other with all their heart, soul, and overall being. And, I, for one, don't want anything, and I mean anything, to come between them and get in the way of what they want for themselves! So, please, I beg all of you three to just try your best to understand them!"
After this very detailed retelling of last night's string of events and stating what he thought of his two best friends, Gouki turned away, buried his face in his hands and sobbed. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, Hikaru and Saya. I'm so sorry for all three of you having to listen to me tell you all this!"
Having heard everything Gouki had to say, Hayate sighed, approached him, and patted him on the shoulder. "It's alright, Big Man. As long as we all don't keep secrets like this, we'll all be alright. Now, let's go find Wolf Boy and Cat Girl, 'kay?" Gouki nodded as he joined up Hayate, Ryouma, and Hyuuga in looking for Hikaru and Saya. Who knows what could've happened to them throughout this deep discussion about the two's intimacy.
Unbeknownst to the four Gingamen, Yuuta was staring at them through the window of his bedroom. He could only barely make out what the conversation was. He could only deduce that something drastic was up with Ginga Yellow and Ginga Pink as they couldn't be seen around the house these past couple of hours.
