"…and silhouetted against the sun at the top of the hill was High King Peter with the rest of the army coming up behind him!"

"No!"

"Oh yes, and I'll tell you, I've never been so glad to see anyone in my entire life. I'd thought for sure we were goners, with King Edmund in such bad shape, over half our company badly wounded, and the giants bearing down on us like a summer storm-"

"But how did the High King survive the landslide?"

"Well, we learned after that he'd found a good strong tree to cling to, and then he ran like the Witch was on his heels all the way back to camp to alert the rest of the army!"

"A true and proper miracle then!"

"Aslan's paw was on it, through and through, that's for certain. 'Twas like a vision, it was…"

"What was?"

"High King Peter arriving at the top of that hill. I don't think I've ever seen anyone so - so-"

"Magnificent?"

"Alright, you smart Ass, speaking of living up to your name-"

"I wasn't wrong though, was I?"

"…no."

"I'm just glad you're alive to grumble, old friend"

"Alright, alright, Brey, no need to lay it on so thick."

"Just take the compliment, Fennick"

"If you think you'll ever outdo me for stubbornness, you've another thing coming, donkey!"

"Bring it on, dwarf!"

"Tell of a time one of the Four acted out the adjective attached to their titles—Magnificent, Gentle, Just, or Valiant."

Author's Note:

So, not my best, but I checked my emails and the prompt was so good I immediately had to write something :) I hope it's still a fun read!
