I said this in an earlier chapter that I would post the outline if I ever quit writing this story when I realized that I was getting stuck when writing some of the chapters. Here is how it is going to happen… I am going to post this in four parts. The first part is the outlines that I that are for chapters already written and posted. The second and third part are the outlines for chapters fully planned out which I will be splitting into two parts. Finally, the last part will be a very brief summary of the last three arcs which I was honestly having trouble planning out due to not doing much with Digimon in the past two years or so.

To anyone who wants to adopt this… 1) Please let me know if you want to adopt it and when you post it. Also, try not to post just a copy and paste of the first few chapters and instead, make it your own story. 2) I'm posting the outlines because I don't want it to die fully. These are more like ideas that you can use or to help you make the story. I have pretty detailed ideas until chapter 33. After that, I started creating more simple outlines because I realized that I didn't need to do other stuff. For anyone who decides to adopt this, they are welcome to stick to is as much as they want. I chose to focus on only Mimi and Davis and as such, they are the only ones who got Spirits. Then Ken became a bit of a secondary main character for the group who was more welcoming and understanding towards him and let him set the pace for his reformation and reparations. How you do it can be completely different than me and be just as good or better than what I come up with. If you want every member of the 02 gang to get spirits, I say do it.

My biggest piece of advice is figure out how you want things to end up and work backwards from there. Do you want a big massive fight with everyone playing small roles? If so, I would recommend the everyone gets a Spirit route. Do you want the two major powerhouses duking it out? I would suggest having everyone form Susanoonmon even if only Davis and Mimi receive Spirits. The sky's the limit, but keep in mind characters and pacing.

Another note: While I have hinted at a romance between Mimi and Davis, and would probably really have them become a real couple during the wrap up chapters, they would be the kind of couple who is attached at the hip, you know they are dating, but they would not be that much different than how they were before they started dating in terms of interactions. The only difference would be that Davis and Mimi would be sickeningly sweet when they are in their mid-to-late teens.

Chapter 1: Darkness' Awakening

(Takes place after Family Picnic) Davis feels upset about not doing enough in regards to the Digimon Emperor. Mimi, noticing this, confronts Davis and comforts him on his insecurities as both the leader and a Digidestined. Davis, feeling much better, invites Mimi to his house to eat. Before they can, a portal opens up and pulls Mimi, Palmon (who hid in Mimi's bag as Tanemon) and Davis. During this, Demiveemon and Davis' D-3 are left behind.

The trio is pulled into the Dark Ocean (by the destroyed lighthouse) and are surrounded by the "Scubamon" who state that they are going to sacrifice Mimi to appease their master, Dragomon, who is disappointed that his subjects would so easily betray him. Davis, despite not having Veemon to back him up, fights against the "Scubamon", but he is instead thrown into the ocean nearing unconsciousness.

While he begins to float down, Davis gets angry at his uselessness and is extremely depressed that he wouldn't be able to see Veemon again. Most importantly, he hates the fact that Mimi is going to be sacrificed, and there is nothing that he can do about it. During this, he floats towards an underwater monument where a totem floated out of the dark waters and towards Davis. As it makes contact with Davis, his D-Terminal transforms into a new Digivice (A D-tector, but shaped like a smartphone).

Davis is confronted with a spirit who asks what he thinks the nature of Darkness is. Davis responds that Darkness is just Darkness. It can be used for good or evil like anything. He has enough experience with the Digimon Emperor to know that this is the truth. The spirit, pleased with Davis' answer, smiles and gives Davis his blessing. The totem flows into new Digivice, and Davis is filled with new knowledge. With it, he executes a Spirit Evolution as a fractal code wraps around Davis. A stream of energy burst forward from Davis into the air and towards Mimi.

Meanwhile, at the beach, Mimi and Palmon (who Digivolved into Togemon) were busy fighting the ShadowDivermon and were driving them off. However, they were stopped when Dragomon (the Cthulhu Digimon) appeared from the Ocean. Togemon tried to fight Dragomon, but he was far too strong.

Dragomon knocked Togemon into the ruined lighthouse before he turned to Mimi. It mentioned how it can sense a great power resting within her. Mimi screams that she doesn't have any special powers. Dragomon ignores Mimi and goes to grab Mimi, Togemon, managing to get up and halt Dragomon, reminds Mimi that all her power comes from Mimi and that her crest was just used to channel Mimi's power through Digivolution. Mimi, her faith restored in herself, confidently states that she will defeat Dragomon and go home with Togemon and Davis.

At the exact same time, green energy forms around Mimi and the energy from Davis surrounds her. It is absorbed into Mimi and changes her Digivice into the Digivice Burst (that is black and green). Instinctively, she presses her palm into her Device, and all the energy is focused into it. She points it at Togemon and the Digivice sends a burst of energy at Togemon. Togemon absorbs the energy and Digivolves into Lillymon.

Lillymon is able to drive back Dragomon, but Dragomon is still stronger than Lillymon. However, it is at this moment that a new Digimon burst from the ocean and struck Dragomon, distracting him. Together, though Mimi is a little wary of the new Digimon, Lillymon and Loweemon are able to defeat Dragomon.

Something different happens than usual. A ring of code wraps around Dragomon. Loweemon brings out his D-tector and absorbs the code into it. An egg forms from the remaining data and flies into the sky. Loweemon then lands next to Mimi before fractal code forms around him and he turns back into Davis. Mimi is shocked before Davis' D-Tector turns on and a female voice speaks through the Digivice stating to use your D-Tector to protect the Digital World. The fractal code flows out and turns into a gate back to the real world where Demiveemon is frantically searching for them. The three jump through it and after some brief words, go eat at Davis' house.

Over dinner, Davis, Mimi, Palmon, and Demiveemon discuss what happened. Upon learning that Davis' transformation comes from the Legendary Warrior of Darkness, Mimi cautions Davis about telling the other Digidestined (mainly Kari and TK) due to past experiences with Devimon, Myotismon, and the Dark Masters. Mimi noticed that they tended to overreact in regards to anything related to Darkness. Mimi says that she would probably be overacting too if she didn't see the good that it can do today.

Davis agrees with her and states his intention to go off on his own. He knows that now especially, he won't be able to work as well with the Digidestined, and he feels that now that he has his Spirit, he would be able to do so much more for the Digital World. Demiveemon agrees with Davis, and he can't wait to see Davis fight as Loweemon. Mimi shares in his sentiments, especially since she is able to do more, and insists that she comes with him. Davis, seeing no reason to deny her and welcoming her assistance, agrees. As the two cement their new partnership, Davis' D-tector comes to life once more and the remaining fractal code from Dracomon flows into Davis' laptop and Mimi's Digivice, creating a portal to the Digital World. The two wonder what else their new Digivices can do, and start fiddling with them.

Note: Davis' D-tector has a Digimon analyzer (through scanning Fractal Codes), Bokomon's book of knowledge in Digital form (not unlocked yet), a storage space for his Digi-egg(s), a portal creator, a messaging and cell phone app, and access to his spirit. He will unlock more features based on what Fractal Codes he gets. Bokomon's book (now called Digipedia) explains the history of the Digital World, the Legendary Warriors' role in it and what Fractal Code is. Mimi's Digivice Burst doesn't have the same amount of abilities that Davis' does. It does have a portal create, the ability to store Palmon in it, and a Digimon Analyzer. Though she doesn't know this as she hasn't reached Mega, it is also able to create weapons for Palmon, project a shield over her, and trigger burst mode with Air Signal.

Episode 2: Darkness Boogaloo

Mimi has returned to America, but she is able to meet up anywhere in the Digital World thanks to their Digivices. For some reason, her clothes also changed when she goes into the Digital World (it's Yoshino's DAT's uniform). The two have been steadily destroying the Control Spires near the edge of the Digimon Emperor's territory. Meanwhile, the Digidestined didn't return to the Digital World for the rest of Golden Week. Despite Golden Week happening, Davis was preparing for a soccer match against the Tamachi Soccer team which had the famous prodigy, Ken Ichijouji.

On the day of the soccer match, all the younger Digidestined and their In-training partners, came to watch Davis' match. Davis with his greater experience in the Digital world is able to better match the more skilled soccer team from Tamachi, until Ken joins in the second half of the game. Ken's greater skill proved to be a great challenge to Davis, and at one point, when Davis tried to steal the ball, he injured Ken's ankle. Ken takes it surprisingly well, and it seems like he leaves acknowledging one potential rival. Unknown to Davis, who gets an inkling that something isn't quite right, Ken finds it insulting that Davis was able to injure him, even if slightly.

Later, the group goes into the Digital World, and like in the episode, Davis and Veemon get separated from the group, and Ken presents him with the illusion of the Digidestined about to be fed to Deltamon. Unlike the anime, his D-tector is able to identify the Bakemon behind the illusion. Veemon quickly Digivolves into Flamedramon and begins to free the Bakemon from the Digimon Emperor's control. They flee as the rest of the group appears. Initially, they are a little concerned about Davis' ease of attacking their look-alikes, but they are relieved when Davis reassures them that he knew that they were Bakemon by lying that Veemon told him that they didn't smell like they normally do.

The Digimon Emperor, enraged by the group's actions against them, shares that he intends to finish his take over of the Digital World and destroy all his opposition. Davis, angered by this, tackles him and gets in a scuffle. At some point, Davis notices that the Emperor has an injury in the exact same spot that Ken was, earlier in the day. Davis, putting two to two together, reveals that Ken is the Digimon Emperor right as the rest of the group catches up.

The group retreats to the real world to discuss what this new information means with the older Digidestined. As they are doing this, Davis tells them his intentions. He shares how he feels like they aren't doing enough and how it may be more beneficial to split up. The rest shout at him how this is a bad idea, but Davis and Demiveemon stand firm on their decision. He also shares how he feels like he needs to do this, and that he is stepping down as the leader to the disappointment of Tai. He leaves the rest of the group to discuss what this means with only a parting comment that he would see them at school.

Mimi reveals how she has talked with Davis about this and can see why he thinks this needs to happen. She also explains that recently she was taken to the Dark Ocean, and her Digivice changed while she was there. She tells them that if it weren't for Davis, she would have been stuck in the Dark Ocean as a sacrifice to Dragomon. She doesn't explain everything, but she tells them that she will keep in contact with Davis and support him.

Davis prepares to meet Mimi in the Digital World. Mimi calls him, and his basic plan is that they are going to choose an area that they are going to clear out and make into their base of operations. It's where they will keep their stuff, plan their next location and will be their meeting point. Mimi suggests the Koromon Village, a place that is filled with In-Training Digimon and was a place that the original Digidestined visited in their first trip to the Digiworld.

Chapter 3: Finding a Base to Call Home

Before Davis is able to enter the Digital World the following day, he sees a report that Ken is missing. He checks his computer and discovers that even more of the Digital World is under Ken's control. He calls Mimi who concludes that since Ken doesn't have to hide his identity, he must have decided to move full time into the Digital World and speed up his takeover. It is now more important than ever that they go to the Digital World.

Mimi, Davis, Veemon and Palmon all arrive around where Palmon says the Koromon Village is located. They know that a Control Spire is located nearby where the village is, so they all prepare to face some resistance. Before they can do much, a small white Digimon flies out of some nearby woods being chased by several Digimon (Buraimon, Dinohyumon, Monochromon, Meramon and a fifth one that stayed in the forest) wearing Dark Rings. The Digivices identify it as Calumon, a Digimon who can only support other Digimon. The four immediately begin defending it.

Veemon digivolves to Flamedramon, and Davis Spirit Evolves into Loweemon. Mimi tries to help Palmon Digivolve into Togemon, but she isn't able to get her to happen. Palmon asks what happened, while Loweemon and Flamedramon are occupied with the five Digimon. They are able to slowly free each Digimon one at a time with Dinohumon being the hardest Digimon to defeat.

Meanwhile, Mimi is wondering why Palmon is unable to Digivolve. They are out of the range of a Control Spire. Calumon, in Mimi's arms, asks what's wrong. Mimi explains that she can help make Palmon Digivolve, but she can't seem to do this right now. Calumon, innocently asks, how she does this. Mimi ponders this, before Palmon pushes her out of the way of an attack. From the forest, a dark, mutated Leomon wrapped in several Dark Rings. It seems to be struggling to control itself as it approaches Mimi. Her Digivice identifies it as MadLeomon, the corrupted form of Leomon. MadLeomon manages to ask Mimi and Palmon (by name) to run.

Mimi, realizing this is Leomon, refuses to do so. She and Palmon stand their ground as the rabid Digimon approaches her. Mimi stares into MadLeomon's eyes as she states her resolve to free Leomon. The same energy that surrounded Mimi yesterday enveloped her body. Mimi realized that she will only be able to Digivolve Palmon when her heart is sincerely focused on helping others. She performs the Digisoul Charge, and Palmon warp Digivolves into Lillymon.

Lillymon quickly engages MadLeomon (who I'm making the same strength as an Ultimate), and the two are about evenly matched. Lillymon realizes quickly that she has to keep her distance since MadLeomon's claws have poison that eroded a few of her petals. She manages to get a flower cannon that sends MadLeomon towards Loweemon who just finished freeing the final Digimon. The attack manages to destroy one of the seven Dark Rings that are wrapped around his body.

MadLeomon suddenly falls down on one knee and snarls as dark energy surrounds himself. The remains of the Dark Ring are absorbed into his body and his muscles bulk up, but he is able to ask them to defeat him. Davis quickly realizes that they have to do this, so he, Flamedramon and a reluctant Lillymon begin to whittle down the Dark Rings around his body. Everytime a Ring is destroyed, MadLeomon releases more dark energy and becomes more powerful.

Loweemon, realizing that if all the Dark Rings are destroyed they will be unable to stand up to MadLeomon, makes the hard decision that they will need to delete Leomon. Mimi initially rejects this option until Davis reminds her what happened to Dragomon. He states that if he is able to do what he did for Dragomon to MadLeomon, they will at least ensure that he will be able to be reborn. Mimi eventually agrees, and Lillymon traps MadLeomon with her vines long enough for Loweemon to drive his sword into MadLeomon, revealing his fractal code.

Davis pulls out his D-Tector and absorbs the code into it. MadLeomon falls forward and, in a burst of Data, changes into Elecmon (though unconscious). It is around this time that the other Digimon awaken and Lillymon, Flamedramon, and Loweemon revert back to their original forms. The Digimon are grateful for Davis' and Mimi's actions in freeing them and explain that in the time since the Dark Master's were defeated, the Koromon Village has grown to be a bustling town where Champion and lower Digimon live in peace with each other. It is inhabited by a lot of Digimon from the Koromon line, but there are still many Digimon from different lines.

They explain how the Digimon Emperor appeared suddenly one and attached Dark Rings to most of the inhabitants of the village before they could react. The few that were able to react were quickly overwhelmed by the other Digimon who suddenly turned against them. Leomon specifically suffered from this, due to him fighting the control and intercepting numerous Dark Rings that were targeting the other Digimon. Though they are unsure exactly what happened, the energy from the Dark Rings caused Leomon to transform and gain power. He would follow the Emperor's commands, but it would not be uncommon for him to go berserk when he fights. Unfortunately, MadLeomon's strength was enough to overwhelm the few Ultimate Digimon in the area and drive them back, so the Emperor was content to let the village be watched over and protected by MadLeomon.

But now that Leomon is free, they will be able to free the village. The group decides to hold off on this endeavor though until Elecmon wakes up, and they have rested a bit since everyone is a little tired from the fight… except Calumon, who manages to drag Veemon and Palmon into a game of tag, while Davis and Mimi prepares a meal for everyone.

Chapter 4: Finding a Base to Call Home

Shortly before the meal is finished cooking, Elecmon wakes up. Mimi rushes towards him and hugs the lion Digimon, so glad that . Elecmon thanks Mimi and Davis for saving him, before he tries to get up. He is still weak from being transformed, and everyone insists that he takes it easy. Elecmon states that he can't rest until he is able to free all the Digimon that he failed. Mimi talks some sense into Leomon, stating that he did all that he could and more, and it won't do anyone any good to rush into a village of Champions, especially since Leomon is currently a Rookie. Elecmon listens to Mimi and relents to the rest.

Davis, meanwhile, finishes the meal for everyone and serves it with help from Veemon and Calumon. Calumon, while happy for the food and a few of the snacks Davis brought, complains that he wants to play more. After eating for a bit, Calumon floats towards Elecmon and asks if he wants to play. Elecmon declines but asks who the floating Digimon is. Calumon introduces himself but is saddened when he realizes that Leomon is too hurt to play. He brightens up as he flies over to Elecmon and rests a paw on Elecmon. He closes his eyes and the red gem on its forehead glows. Suddenly, Elecmon glows and changes back into Leomon to the shock of everyone. Davis asks Calumon how he is able to do that, but Calumon just innocently states that he didn't know.

Leomon, now healed, gets ready to head back into the village. Leomon explains that the village is a central hub for the controlled Digimon to re-energize. The Rookie and below Digimon provide food for the Champion's who would come and go when the Digimon Emperor would call upon them. This also means that the security is stronger in the village.

Davis, hearing this, thinks about what they should do. He asks if there are any secret entrances in the village that they can use to get in. Leomon doesn't know, but Meramon states that there is a secret entrance behind the waterfall that they can sneak in through. Mimi recognizes it as how they escaped from the Etemon's minions. Meramon finally recognizes Mimi, and once again thanks them for their help against an enemy.

The plan is that Davis, as Loweemon, will sneak in at night to destroy the Control Spire while Mimi and the others create a distraction. Buraimon and Veemon accompany Davis while Mimi, Calumon Leomon, Meramon, Monochromon, and Kotemon attack the outside of the village drawing most of the guards attention. Mimi discovers that she is able to Digivolve Palmon to Lillymon when in range of the Control Spires, but Lillymon notes that she feels like she won't be able to sustain it for long periods of time.

Most of the guards (mainly Tyrannomon, Gazimon, and an Ogermon) rushed to subdue the attacking Digimon and Mimi's group quickly engaged and began to free the Digimon from the Dark Rings. Meanwhile, Loweemon's group approached the Control Spire which is guarded by a DarkGreymon and two DarkTyrannomon. Around the same time, both groups are able to free all the Digimon and destroy the Control Spire. All the Digimon are happy to be free, and they invite them to use the village hot springs. Davis explains why he is here, and the Digimon are determined to help Davis' team to free the Digital World from the Emperor.

Mimi goes to enjoy the hot springs with Palmon and Calumon, while Davis starts to work on planning how they will start clearing the surrounding areas from the Digital Emperor's control. Before they can get too far, Mimi comes rushing out of the hot springs yelling for Davis. After a brief period of embarrassment (since Mimi is in a bathing suit), Mimi manages to tell what the problem is. Izzy contacted her and told her that Agumon was captured by Ken.

Chapter 5: Secret's of the Past

Immediately, Davis contacts Izzy, and asks him to fill him in. Izzy, while surprised that Davis was able to find out so quickly and surprised to find out he learned it from Mimi, quickly explained the situation. The younger Digidestined went to the Digiworld to confront Ken, but they were ambushed by a bunch of controlled Meramon.

While they were starting to free the Meramon, Ken appeared with a swarm of Airdramon carrying Greymon. He forced Greymon to Digivolve in SkullGreymon, but he was unable to control it. He sent waves of his controlled Digimon after the SkullGreymon, while the Digidestined got out of the way. Eventually, SkullGreymon reverted back into Agumon, and Ken was able to escape from them.

Davis asks Izzy to keep him posted and tells him that he will be there to back the rest up when Izzy figures out where Agumon is. Izzy tells him that Tentomon is looking for Agumon, and he has a few potential leads. He'll keep Davis informed.

Davis is all set to go rescue Agumon, but Mimi points out that they can't until Izzy finds out where he is. Davis, dejected and angry, makes the plan to start destroying the Control Spires around the area. Before he can leave, Buraimon asks Davis to follow him. Davis and Veemon follow Buraimon into a temple a fair distance away from the village. When they get there, Davis notices that one of the symbols on the wall is the same as the symbol on his Digivice.

When Davis points this out, Buraimon explains that this is why he brought him here. He begins to explain how he is a traveling Digimon who is on a journey to get stronger, and in his journey, he has learned many of the old legends of the Digital World, including the story of the Ten Legendary Warriors. He explains the role the Warriors did at the beginning of the story and explains how each of the spirits were put to rest at various locations of the Digital World.

Finally, Buraimon explains that this temple contains both the record of the Legendary Warriors and the Human Spirit of Fire. He points to a book that sits on an altar and says that the book contains a record of the history of the Digital World. Davis approaches it, and a Fractal Code spawns from the book. He scans it which creates a copy of the book (and some extra information not in it) in his phone. Buraimon is not terribly surprised by this and leads Davis into a room with the symbol for fire.

Davis' D-Tector reacted to the room, and a pillar of flame appeared in the center of the room. From it, a humanoid Digimon walks out of it. Davis' D-Tector identifies it, and Agunimon explains why he is here. He says that while it is true that the original Legendary Warriors defeated Lucemon, they also worked together to defeat the remaining Seven Demon Lords. Loweemon appears as a spectral image for this conversation.

He states that they worked together with the original Digidestined (and that they can find the information in Bokumon's book) when Lucemon arose again, before they made counter measures for when the other Demon Lord's would eventually come back and that the Spirits are scattered all over the Digital World. The so-called Digimon Emperor's actions have darkened the Digital World and prompted the revival of at least one of the Demon Lords. Agunimon says that it will take the full might of all the Spirits in order to stand up to them, so he tasks Davis with collecting the remaining Spirits.

Davis agrees, saying that he will not let him down, but asks how he will find the Spirits. Agunimon states that the Human Spirits are likely in areas that are influenced by their elements, but the Beast Spirits are being used to seal something away or are sealed away. Finally, Davis asked why he can use the Spirits, and Agunimon explains that the Spirits can only be used by Mediums, which are humans or Digimon that are attuned to channeling Spirits, and Davis is one of the rare Mediums. Agunimon smiles before he explains that Davis needs to collect five Human Spirits of Darkness, Light, Water, Metal, and Thunder.

Davis' slightly overwhelmed by this info dump, heads back to the Village and shares with Mimi what he learned. Mimi plans to tell the other Digidestined, but Davis stops her. He says that they need to focus on stopping Ken because it would be impossible to prepare for whichever Demon Lord shows up. Mimi relents, and the pair and their Digimon plan to destroy as many Control Spires as they can before they go to help the rest save Agumon. First, they needed to go back to their homes to rest. Calumon decided to follow Mimi back.

Chapter 6: Rescuing Agumon (I really hate this episode because it kills Davis' courage and his relationship with Veemon, and it makes Tai and Matt to be a bunch of idiots who are spouting things about friendship and are simultaneously taking the situation seriously and not seriously enough)

A few days later, Davis and Mimi have steadily been destroying the Control Spires around the Village without much issue. It's a surprise that Gururmon is near the village, and once Davis explains himself, Gurumon is helping Davis out. Davis is contacted by Izzy that Agumon has been found. Davis tells them that he is on his way and he is bringing help. Buraimon follows Davis because he wants to both fight against stronger opponents and get revenge against the Digimon Emperor. Mimi and Palmon are unable to come due to time difference. Leomon stays behind to watch over the village.

Davis manages to meet with them at the place of the Digi Egg of Friendship and gets there right before Ken is able to put a Dark Spiral on Patamon, while the rest of the Digidestineds and their Digimon are facing off against the Digimon Emperor. Gurumon saves Patamon while Veemon Digivolves into Flamedramon and engages DarkMetalGreymon. When asked what Davis was doing by Tai, Davis responds he's freeing Agumon. Gurumon, Buraimon, and Flamedramon are able to hold off and do a bit of damage to the Spiral, but a metal figure shows up and rams into Flamedramon and sends him back towards Davis as Veemon.

The figure is Andromon who has a Dark Spiral around his leg. Kari is shaken that Andromon is back under the Emperor's control. Buraimon splits off to hold off Andromon, and Digmon joins him, and they are able to hold Andromon off, but are quickly overwhelmed.

Ken begins taunting everyone, questioning why they are even trying. This silences everyone until Davis responds. He says that he keeps trying because he's made friends with a lot of the Digimon. The Digital World is amazing, and it's thanks to it that he met Veemon, someone he can always count on.

From the crater, a blue light floated towards Davis. The light blinds everyone else, but Davis is able to see both a spirit and a Digi Egg. The spirit appears as a tall blue humanoid beetle who proclaims that his heartfelt words have resonated with him, and he is happy to lend his powers to Davis. The Digimon states that he will be able to fight for a bit before he has to retreat to his Spirit because of the Digi Egg. Beetlemon goes to help fight Andromon, while Davis proclaims Digi-Armor Energize, allowing Veemon to Digivolve to Raidramon.

Raidramon and Gururumon are able to get the Dark Spiral off of MetalGreymon with their speed just like in the anime. Beetlemon is able to stun Andromon with his electric attacks which allows Buraimon and Digmon to destroy the Dark Spiral. With his part done, Beetlemon retreats into the Digiegg which then goes into Davis' D-Tector. Ken, seeing that he has lost this battle, flees.

Tai and Matt go to confront Davis on what happened, but Davis makes no move to really say anything. The best he tells him is that he has set up a base in the Digital World to start taking down the Dark Spires and rallying the Digimon against Ken. When asked about the Spirit, Davis replies that he didn't know, and his best guess would be there was a Spirit powering the Digi Egg. With his piece said, despite the protests of the others wanting him to rejoin the group, Davis leaves with Raidramon and Buraimon.

Note to Self: Talk about how this speaks on how Davis views friendship. He straight up refuses to acknowledge that you have to hurt your friends to help them. It does not cross his mind, and should not cross his mind.

Chapter 7: The Good, the Bad, and the Digi (which is only included as a bit of filler and humor for the story and to actually use the Spirits)

Davis, while destroying the Control Spires, is contacted by a member of the Assault Force, stating that Biyomon is in trouble. He had split up from Veemon (now Raidramon), and after sending a message with one of the other Digimon to give the general location of Biyomon to Veemon, Davis heads off towards the town. He arrives just in time to see Yolei, Hawkmon, Cody, Armadillomon and Sora meet the Sheriff, SuperStarmon (it makes no sense to ignore that Ken can control Ultimate level Digimon).

He decides to head into the town as Loweemon. He manages to find an old cloak and a hat (just for theatrics) and follows the group. He walks into the bar and greets SuperStarmon right as they are being served milk. He introduces himself as a traveling Digimon who is looking for his friends. When asked if he knows about the Digimon Emperor, he responds affirmatively and remarks that he has destroyed a few Control Spires before downing the mug of milk.

This comment sets SuperStarmon off who takes off his hat to reveal a Dark Spire and states that he is going to capture them all. Sora immediately asks if Biyomon has been taken. SuperStarmon states that she has been captured and they will be joining her soon. This prompts the group to run (while Loweemon stays behind) and they get captured by SuperStarmon.

Loweemon stays in the shadows and begins to look for the Control Spire. While he does this, he manages to see Deputymon take the girls away from the jail cell. He is about to chase after them, but he notices that Cody isn't with them. He goes to the jail window and talks to Cody. He says he was going to free them, but before he could do this, SuperStarmon appeared for Lunch. Loweemon hid, while Cody explained that Deputymon took the girls to play cards.

SuperStarmon is furious and races out to confront Deputymon. This gives Loweemon the perfect opportunity to free Cody. Armadillomon decides to help himself to some of SuperStarmon's lunch before they go to find the Control Spire. Loweemon, meanwhile, goes after SuperStarmon, who is in the middle (more like just about to end) of a duel against Deputymon. After that fiasco, Loweemon goes to deal with SuperStarmon.

While he is forced on the defensive due to SuperStarmon's attacks, the timely appearance of Raidramon gave Loweemon the chance to destroy the Dark Spiral. Consequently, his attack also sends SuperStarmon into the Town's water tower, revealing the Control Spire. Cody and Digmon quickly destroy the Spire, freeing the town.

Raidramon and Loweemon leave after a few words of warning and farewells.

Chapter 8 & 9: Icy Vacation

With the addition of Mimi getting her Spirit, Davis and Mimi have been able to clear out the Control Spires at a far faster rate. Unfortunately, they are quickly becoming burnt out, though they are destroying Control Spires faster than Ken can put them up. It doesn't help that the area is experiencing a heat wave. Leomon notices their growing exhaustion and suggests that they take a break by visiting the snowy region of the Digital World, stating that the town will be able to survive if they take a break.

Davis and Mimi are relieved to be encouraged to take a break, and after making a quick stop to the town tailor for clothes that will be good for the snow, the two take off with Raidramon. Davis also stops by the bakery to buy some snacks for later. Calumon tags along and gets a large scarf that looks ridiculous but adorable on him.

Leomon suggests they find Frigimon, a kind Digimon who loves to help out travelers. Upon checking out the last point that Frigimon was seen on Davis' D-3, they are relieved and excited to see that the area is clear of any Control Spires. It takes a bit of time, but they are quickly able to reach the winter wonderland that Frigimon lives in. They began to search for the igloo that Leomon said Frigimon lived in.

They decide to search on foot and enjoy the scenery. Thankfully, they are able to see the smoke coming out of an igloo. Upon approaching the igloo, they are cheerfully greeted by a large snowman Digimon who thanks Davis for helping to save him from the control of the Digimon Emperor. Davis is a little bashful about this and doesn't really know how to respond to the praise. Mimi takes over and explains why they are here.

Frigimon is happy to let them stay for as long as they want and happily encourages the five to go out and have fun. With the go ahead, Davis, Mimi, Veemon, Palmon, and Calumon all begin to play in the snow with Frigimon. A few hours later, they are all tired and more than a little cold (sans Frigimon), having a good time drinking hot chocolate in Frigimon's igloo. It is at this point that Davis brings out the snacks that he brought, a bunch of cream puffs. When Calumon eats them, he starts trying to eat the other's cream puff, stating that these are the best things he has ever eaten. Davis makes a comment about how Calumon shouldn't be eating the cream puffs since he is a cream puff. This prompts Mimi and Palmon to start laughing, especially at Calumon's confused expression, and it isn't long before everyone is laughing at the cream puff in Digimon form.

Not long after, the group settles down to sleep for the night. Sometime in the night, Davis' D-Tector goes off, waking up Palmon. Palmon groggily wakes up Davis before going to bed, and they discover that it is pointing to a location nearby with a symbol of the Legendary Warrior of Ice. Davis quickly races out looking for the Spirit, leaving a note for Mimi.

They follow the coordinates and are met with an IceLeomon who is standing in front of a cave. The IceLeomon gets into a defensive stance when Davis approaches it, but Davis holds his hands up in peace. He explains to IceLeomon that he was guided by his D-Tector to this location and shows it to IceLeomon. IceLeomon looks shocked when he sees the symbol on the back and he lowers his guard. IceLeomon motions for Davis to follow him into the cave.

When they entered, Davis was surprised to find that the interior was just like the temple by the Koromon Village. IceLeomon explains that he was tasked with watching over this place by the Legendary Warriors of the past. He said that when someone came wielding a device that carried one of the symbols of the Legendary Warriors, he was to bring them to this room because it would be time for the Warriors to return. IceLeomon motions for Davis to approach the altar in the middle of the room. Before he could touch it, IceLeomon yelled in pain.

Davis turned around and saw that IceLeomon was holding his arm while trying to pull off a Dark Spiral. IceLeomon tells Davis that he must get the spirit before he loses control. Davis quickly places his D-Tector on the altar, and it began to glow. A bright light shines throughout the room while a cold gust of wind blows IceLeomon out of the cave. A bear bearing the symbol of Ice appears from the light and introduces himself as Kumamon.

Kumamon, while cheerful in his introduction, quickly turns to Davis. He states that IceLeomon needs his help and asks Davis to use his power. Davis replies affirmatively and Kumamon is absorbed into Davis' D-tector. Davis executes a Spirit Evolution to transform into Kumamon.

With great speed, Kumamon jets out of the cave and slams into IceLeomon. Though IceLeomon is much stronger, he is fighting the Dark Spiral with all his might, which gives Kumamon the ability to freeze IceLeomon in place. Kumamon quickly skates up over the mouth of the cave and jumps towards IceLeomon. He turns into an ice spear midway through and blasts towards IceLeomon's Dark Spiral. Before he hits him, IceLeomon breaks free and hits Kumamon away, all resistance gone.

Kumamon goes flying back and realizes that IceLeomon is too strong. He quickly sends a message to Mimi, asking for help before he goes back to distract IceLeomon. Thankfully, his greater speed on the snow allows him to avoid IceLeomon's attacks, but his defenses are too great to break through.

This lasts for a few minutes, before Kazemon, Lillymon, Calumon and Veemon all rush into the battle with a little confusion from Kazemon when she sees Kumamon. Lillymon and Kazemon are at a disadvantage in the snowy weather, and it looks like IceLeomon will win. Veemon is unable to Digivolve since Davis is too busy fighting. Despite the difference in power, Veemon rushes forward towards IceLeomon only to get his back nonchalauntly. This distracts Kumamon long enough for IceLeomon to land a hit and send him flying back.

Veemon struggles to get up despite Calumon's insistence on him staying down before he could get hurt. Veemon refuses, saying that his friends need his help. Upon hearing this, the red jewel on Calumon's forehead glows and Veemon Digivolves into ExVeemon. When this happens, Davis' D-3 changes to the Digivice Burst. With the help of ExVeemon, they are able to destroy the Dark Spiral on IceLeomon. Lillymon, Kumamon, Kazemon, and ExVeemon all revert back to their natural forms. Kumamon briefly appears as a Spirit to thank IceLeomon for watching over him for all these years, before going back into Davis' D-Tector.

Together, they all head back to Frigimon and enjoy a hot meal with him, before they part ways. IceLeomon promises to protect this area from the Digimon Emperor.
