I don't own Kingdom Hearts. It belongs to Disney and Square Enix. Okay, and we are back with a short chapter but not without some action and a proper interaction from one of the two main pairings in this fanfic. Now, then before the worlds of ice and fire collide, let's reply to some reviews!
VaderSkywalker:Well, funny you should mention that. As for your question: is rather an interesting one. Some worlds like the Destiny Islands and the Realm of Darkness have a unique connection to them. Like how Kairi's letter reached Sora in the Dark World at the end of KH2.
Arendelle does have something like that, just not for Radiant Garden or the Destiny Islands. That, well, let's just say a certain Uncle of Donald's founda way to make a business delivering letters to other worlds. ;D You'll see when we get back to Radiant Garden later on.
edboy4926: He did visit the Kingdom of Corona just like the cannon. You'll see if Rapunzel shows up here on this world. Don't want to get too deep with spoilers.
Nicochan11: I'm actually unsure of that myself at the moment if I'm being honest. There might not even be a world that took it's place. In the KH Magna: some of the worlds in those comics cut cut out. In fact, from what I heard only the worlds of Hercules, Toy Story, Tangled, and Frozen appeared before they got started Aqua's rescue and the rest of the plot skipping Monsters Inc, Big Hero 6, Winnie the Pooh, and Pirates of the Caribbean. Might take a note from them but who knows I might get an idea later down in the future.
Is Og Ild: No problem! I look forward to hear your thoughts when you get around to it! Yeah, Sora and Kairi are now going to need to watch out if they want to avoid Anna getting them married before they're ready. XD Also, glad you enjoyed Elsa's first interaction with Axel. Fun fact, I didn't mean to capitalize Bye. But when I saw it, I thought it made the moment that much more hilarious and decided to keep it in! Hope I do their official interaction justice in this chapter!
And with that out of the way, here's the second chapter! Enjoy!
The day seemed to go by quickly as Kairi made up for lost time with Anna. They talked about some of the highlights of their lives to each other. Although, Kairi kept the memories of all the dangers, magic, and other worlds to herself for the moment. She explain to her when they knew more about each other.
Before the day ended, they play charades throughout most of the evening. Sora actually won the majority of them, no surprise there. God only knows how he did it when he's not particularly that bright when it came to other things.
Still, Axel was only playing the game half heartedly. His thoughts was on Kairi's mysterious eldest sister. The future Queen of Arendelle seemed to have power over the ice and snow. More importantly, it would seem she didn't want anyone to know.
Sure, people would tend to confuse most people with power with witchcraft and likely burn them on a stake... it wouldn't done a thing to him due the fact he literally could control fire and her Majesty could just put out the flames they tried to burn her with. Still, that didn't mean people wouldn't try to kill her, if they found out.
He thought of tell Sora and Kairi, but decided against it. It wasn't his secret to tell. Still, he wondered how'd she react to know she wasn't the only one with power around these parts. Maybe if he ran into her again he could show her his and find out. He still didn't really much care for Kings, Queens, and politics but as a future Keyblade Master, it was his duty to help others in need. He knew for a second the other two Wielders of the Keyblade wouldn't hesitate to help if they knew. Family or not.
Eh, he'd worry about until he saw her again. Right now, he could really go for some ice cream. He kept a stash of it on the GummiShip, just for the occasion. Sure, he could just opened a Corridor of Darkness for a quick visit to Twilight Town or Radiant Garden and by one from Scrooge McDuck, but he promised Roxas and Xion that he'd stop using them. Had to be a good influence on them after all... well, most of the time.
He did sneak out of the castle in the dead of night. Getting to ship for the ice cream without getting caught was no problem for this former Organization member. Getting back shouldn't be too difficult. He was already halfway back, when he saw someone out of her castle.
It was Blonde. He couldn't help but smirk to himself, "What are you doing out here in the dead of night, Your Highness?"
Elsa often snuck out the castle more the recently, she had to practice making sure she wouldn't use her powers for the Coronation. She couldn't afford to screw up then, and she promised her parents she would be ready when the day came to take up their throne.
Imagining being in the cathedral, Elsa approached a tree which she pretended was the alter. Picking up a stick and pine cone and imagined they were her scepter and Crown Jewels. She picked up with her bare hands and turned to where she would have face the crown. She whispered to herself, "Conceal, don't feel. Conceal. Don't feel it. Don't-"
However the ice had already covered the "scepter" and "Crown Jewels." Throwing them aside, she cursed, "Dang it!" She groaned as she complained to herself, "I'm never going to get control over this."
"Not with that attitude, you won't," A familiar voice spoke up.
The soon to be Queen's eyes widened in horror as she turned to be face to face with Kairi's redhead friend, "Sup, your Majesty! Long time, no see! Haven't seen since your hi and bye to me!"
Elsa blinked in horror, as she slowly asked, "How- how much did you see?"
"Enough," The man answered with his arms crossed before gesturing his thumb towards the frozen stick and pine cone, "So, how long has this been sneak out here to practice that not happening?"
"Oh, no, no, no, no..." Elsa gasped in worry. She had always been so careful. Now, someone knew her secret, "This can't be happening! This can't be happening!"
"Hey, hey, easy," The redhead reassured her taking a step towards her, "You not in any sort of trouble."
"Get back!" The future Queen gasped in horror, "Please, I don't want to hurt you."
"You?! Hurt me?!" The man questioned before he started snickering before bursting out laughing.
"You think this funny?!" Elsa cried out in disbelief. She was serious here.
The man mere continued to laugh, before wiping away a tear, "Sorry, but... I think this is hilarious!" While he did indeed stop laughing, his smirked remained, "No offense, Blonde, but you couldn't hurt me no matter how hard you tried."
"I'M NOT JOKING!" Elsa screamed out of desperation.
"Neither am I," The redhead shook his head, "Now, if you can let me explain..."
"Just go!" The Snow Queen finally had enough and created a massive wall of ice to block his path between him and herself. Thinking he couldn't get through, she leaned on a tree as snow fell upon her, "What am I going to do now?"
Someone knew, while Kairi seemed to know him, she knew nothing about this man. It would only be a matter of time before someone knew. She began to think to herself, "Maybe... maybe, I'll just retreat to the North Mountain. I might not even be bothered there and everyone would be safe from..."
She then heard something a crack before water falling, she turned back to her ice wall. Her eyes widened to see that man had not only placed his hands on the wall, but started to melt it, "How...?"
It only took another moment before he finally melted through the ice wall, leaving a massive hole behind and flames harmlessly flowed came off his very body. Elsa blinked in disbelief, "You're... you have..."
The man chuckled as played with the flames to show off, "It would seem you and I have something in common, Elsa."
"Who..." Elsa hesitantly approached him, "Who are you?"
"The name's Axel," The man gestured to himself before lightly tapped his forehead, "Got it memorized?"
The future Queen eased up, even if only a little, as he made the flames vanish. She asked, "Do you have... control over..."
"My power?" Axel assumed before nodding, "Oh, yeah. For a long time now."
Elsa began to thought to herself, "Does... my sister... Kairi... know?"
"Of course, she does," He nodded, "I've might not have known here as long as her boyfriend, but yeah, she knows all about me and my past."
Okay, Elsa didn't expect that for an answer. Kairi knew about Axel's powers over fire, and considering she invited him along, she must have trusted him not to burn Arendelle to the ground. Still, she asked, "And... she's okay with that? That you have powers, I mean?"
"Why wouldn't she?" The flame user smirked, "She and Sora have magic too, you know."
"Wha..." Elsa gasped in disbelief. Sora and Kairi had powers? That couldn't be true, could it? Her parents would have definitely would've mentioned that her sister after all. Still, why would this man lie to her? He just showed off he had powers too, and she doubt if Kairi trusted him enough to bring him to her coordination, then that had to mean something. Still, she asked, "When...?"
"Let's see, for Sora," Axel thought back, "I believe it was about almost three years ago, and for Kairi, it was about a year after he did."
Elsa had so many questions running through her brain, she wasn't the only one in the family with magic? More importantly, she wasn't the only one with magic at all? He then approached her, "Listen, if you're really that worried you're going to lose it, then why not let us help you. We've got a good handle on our powers, I'm sure we can make sure you don't start an eternal winter as your first act as Queen. I'm sure both Sora and Kairi are more than willing to help as well."
Elsa crossed her arms looking over to frozen tree branch and pine cone, and thought of... even it was a small chance... to spend time with Anna and Kairi again. Without fear of harming them or anyone else. She sighed, "I'd be lying if to say I wasn't tempted..."
Just then, she noticed something, a shadow, rising from the ground, "Wha...?"
Axel turned around to look at what the future Queen was looking at, "Ah, crud, Heartless..."
Heartless? What were they? Suddenly more and more shadows appeared along with more monsters of all shapes and sizes, appeared, surrounding them. Axel raised his hand as flames swirled around him forming some strange sword that looked sort of like a key. The blade and teeth take the shape of a glowing translucent streak of yellow-orange flames and the handle was round with metal spikes around it. He stood behind the Queen, "Get behind me, I'll handle these punks!"
While Elsa stood there, unsure what to do as the creature charged at them. With the swing of his strange weapon, Axel not only quite easy cut down the first attacks, but sent a wave of his own fire to burn down more of them.
Elsa couldn't help but notice these things didn't leave bodies when they... "died?" Not just then, for the ones that were just shadows, Heart shape emblems seemed to rise when they were vanquished.
Axel proceeded to cut down more and more of these Heartless while using his flames to burn the others, Elsa noticed one was about to get the jump on Axel. Her eyes widened, "Look out!"
Acting on pure instinct, she stretched forth her arms as sent an icy blast at the creature, destroying it. Axel smirked at her, "Thanks!"
The flames coming from him went the hilt of his weapon split into two. It seemed to turn from a blade into two chakrams. What exactly was Axel using? Did it help control his powers? He then threw his two spiky weapons in two different directions, eliminating foes from the left and the right. When the weapons returned to him he merged them into the strange blade again. He looked around before noticing none of the creatures remained.
"Heh, too easy," He smirked as his weapon vanished into flames.
"One of them nearly killed you," Elsa pointed out.
"Meh, I would've been fine," Axel shrugged, "But I appreciate the assist."
The eldest daughter of the former King and Queen asked him, "What were those things?"
"The Heartless," Axel answered, "Nasty little buggers that come after people's hearts."
"They're..." Elsa slowly repeated as she placed a hand next to her chest, "...after people's hearts?"
"Bingo," Axel nodded, "They're nothing but bad news and I don't doubt that's the last of them. For your safety. We should get you back your castle, your Majesty."
He tried to lead her back to her castle, before Elsa shoved past him, "Wait!" She returned to where she was practicing her powers before picking up her two gloves she had set on the log while practicing. Quickly, sliding them back on, she turned back to a baffled Axel, "Okay, now we can go."
After blinking for a moment, he shrugged, "Whatever. I don't get what's so special about those gloves."
"They help contain my power," The soon to be Queen explained, "I just need to keep my emotions in check... for everyone's sake." She turned to him, "You're saying you never needed them?"
"You'd be the first that actually said you needed," The redhead admitted before adding, "Besides, I'd likely burn them off if they weren't made from the right materials."
Unbelievable... okay, not the second part. That made a lot of sense. But the first thing, everyone he knew, knew how to control their powers. Including Kairi and her other friend, who she wasn't entirely certain she was in a relationship with. Before wondering, "What are you doing all the way out here? Were you following me?"
"Okay, I see how you would think that," Axel admitted before shaking his head, "Nah, I needed to pick something up from the ship."
Elsa blinked in disbelief, "The docks are over a mile past from here."
They were nowhere near the open sea.
"Let's just say our ship is kinda unique compared to any you have seen before." Axel clarified, "It's complicated."
While still suspicious of that, she decided to give him the benefit of the doubt, "Okay, what were you getting?"
In response, Axel simply smirked before digging in his pockets before pulling out two bars of his most favorite treat, "Tada!"
Blonde blinked in confusion, "What is...?"
"It's Ice Cream!" He revealed with a grin, "Want one?"
"..." From her reaction, she was either trying to progress what to ask first, 'why did you put ice cream in your pockets?' or 'how on earth have they not melted?'
Understandable, so he decided to clarify, "You'd be surprised what you could carry in your pockets these days. Also, the clothes are made from magic. It keeps these bad boys nice and frozen."
"Seriously?" Blonde asked as she hesitated to take the frozen treat. Aw, look it her trying to get out of that comfort zone. It was adorable.
He confirmed with a nod before finally taking the frozen sweet. Axel immediately took a bite out of his, showing her there was nothing foul within the ice cream.
After examining it, he couldn't help but overhear, "Why put it on a stick?"
After giving it sniff, she gave it a small lick before pulling back, "Wow! That's salty!"
"And give it another minute," Axel smirked.
After giving him an odd look, she gave it another lick, before a pleasant smile appeared on her face, "...and now, it's sweet." She then turned to him, "What flavor is this?"
"Sea salt ice cream," The former Organization member revealed, "It's an old favorite of mine back home." He then added, "And no, it's not actually made out of sea water."
"I put that together on my own," Blonde clarified before taking another bite.
"So... you come out here often?" Axel wondered.
"More than usual," Blonde admitted, "I just... don't want to screw this up on Coronation Day..." She frowned as she confessed, "I honest feared this day a long time."
"Well, now, you've got us," Axel pointed out , getting her to turn to him, "Sora, Kairi, and I have a good handle on our powers for away, I'm sure we can help ya be ready for your big party of yours."
"And what of these Heartless?" Elsa asked him, "You said they were likely more of them. Will they be a problem."
"If we weren't around, probably," Axel smirked taking another bite from his ice cream, "But we're what you may call Heartless experts. If they show their yellow eyes again, we'll be ready for them."
"...I guess I should let them know," Elsa admitted, thinking to Sora and Kairi. She had to if she was going to get the help she needed.
"I'd do it tomorrow if I were you," Axel warned her, "Sora's had to get a handle on once he's asleep and your sister can be just be just a drowsy as him at times."
She sighed before nodding, "Fine, we'll do it tomorrow night." Her eyes then narrowed at him, "But you have to promise, Anna must not know about the magic. That she will be safe from all of this."
"Okay, sure," Axel shrugged.
"Say it." Blonde repeated.
"You really want me to say it?" The flame user turned to the Queen, before sighing, "Fine, I promise your hyperactive sister will not know of any of this..."
"And?" She crossed her arms.
"...and nothing bad will happen to your sister," He finished.
"Alright then," She nodded, "Tell Sora and Kairi to meet you in the living quarters tomorrow evening, after Anna is already fast asleep."
"Ah, you want to surprise her sister and give her lover the over protective sister talk?" Axel smirked jokingly, "Sure, that could be a good laugh."
Blonde rolled her eyes as they approached the fjord, she asked, "So, what exactly is Kairi's relationship with that other boy?"
A mischievous smile appeared on Axel's face, "Oh, this is going to be fun..."
So, the creatures that his current employer gave him failed to acquire one of his assigned targets. Still, they did their job of tracking her. He certainly wasn't expecting for her to have access to the power within her nor have a powerful guard accompanying her.
The armored warrior lifted up his visor, as he stared down his target and potential hostile as they returned to this planet's kingdom. From his scans, he couldn't help but overhear the conversation. Two more of the seven were with her. Possibly more with this Coronation around the corner.
He needed to check their guest list to see if any other targets were among the invites. Getting to it without drawing attention wouldn't be easy. Plus, if there were more like the fire powered guard, there could be more like him.
He had to admit. He had a lot of strange jobs over the years of bounty hunting. Some had him going on hunting surviving Jedi. But this... Seven Princesses of Pure Hearts, the creatures from the Dark Side, the Heart of all Worlds, strange unknown worlds he never heard of until now... it definitely took the cake.
As flew above them with his Jetpack, he couldn't help but smirk. Boba Fett never failed to track down his bounties...
...he didn't plan to fail now. 5 million Imperial Credits for each Princess was always worth the job...
Well, the New Seven Hearts might be in trouble. They have bounties on them with Boba Fett on the job. And he has Heartless on his command! Will our heroes be able to repel this Bounty Hunter? Who hired him and why do I hear someone breathing behind my back?
Stay tuned as Sora and Kairi meet the Queen before the Guardians of Light ending up facing the next big crisis! I hoped you enjoyed the chapter! Be sure to leave a review! Also, if you haven't already, be sure to leave a fav. and follow as well! See ya real soon!
