Chapter 5
The trek was not what was difficult for Fadron, but at some point, cover was becoming scarce and he had to think of the mission, "Right, you guys, all of you, out of my pack."
The hobbits all piled out, including Peony who had an armored Madeye on her head.
"What is it, Fadron?" Asked Frodo as the hobbits got their weapons ready.
Fadron looked out from cover at the massive eye as it roved, "He's looking for the ring, but he also knows my face, let Gallend and I distract Big stinky for you while Peony takes you the rest of the way."
"But babe!!" Protested Peony, Fadron held up a hand, "Madeye will go with you, whatever you encounter im sure you'll be fine...wait for about a minute and then keep going, we need you to clutch this while we fight."
With these words, Fadron and Gallend stepped into the light of the beam, they each heard a hiss, which Fadron had protected Gallend from mere moments ago.
"I see you..."
Gallend flipped the eye off as it glared at them.
As they stood there they heard a tumultuous clamour, signalling them that a horde of orcs and nazgul alike were being sent their way
"Goodie..."
Peony and the hobbits made like rabbits up the mountain, frodo, Sam, merry and pippin panting as they struggled to keep pace with Peony, who's enchanted sandals had sprouted wings, adding 30 to her speed, allowing her to move at a lighting fast pace!
"Come on boys!"
Madeye fluttered around the heads of the slower hobbits as they hurried up the mountainside, their pace slowed considerably by the sheer rocky surface, they cringed at the sound of clashing steel and spells as Fadron and Gallend fought with what sounded like the entirety of Mordor so that their ascent may continue.
Peony hazarded a glance from halfway up the mountainside and saw Fadron, giant sized once more, stomping on the orcs and Harradrim as the Nazgul flew about his head!
Gallend was on his head, hurling Blessed rocks and at the Nazgul while an angel worked a few of them over at once!
"Don't stop, Peony!" Shouted Frodo who was now directly beneath her, "We have to get to the top!"
"Right! Right! Sorry!"
The group finished their climb, arriving at a stony crag with a surprisingly smooth causeway carved into the stone.
"This must be the entrance into that forge..." Peony said, Pippin squinted, "forge?"
She turned as they were walking, "You know..."the fires in which it was forged?" There must be a smithy somewhere in there."
"Oh...I don't like that look." Said Frodo
"No, neither do I." Says Pippin, "it means she's up to something."
"Something strange." Follows Mary
Sam said nothing, pan in hand, he cast his eyes around for any defenders.
Peony looked angry, "Hey! You guys don't see the benefit of a magic ring that was forged with less than evil intent?"
"Whatever." Says Frodo, "Do what you want as long as we destroy this one first."
"My precious..."
Gollum lept from a crag above the door into the mountain, grabbing for The Ring as Frodo withdrew behind Sam, Peony drawing her sword, "Come get some, ugly!"
The desperate sinewy gollum collided with Sam, getting a pan upside his head and stumbling backwards as the other hobits drew their swords!
Seeing the abundance of elvish steel, Gollum fell on to his face in the dirt.
"No! No no no no...do not destroy the precious! That would kill us!! KILL US!!!"
"All the better." Growled sam
"He's beholden to it, he's not responsible for what he does, sam."
"He just wants you to think that so he can sneak around and get us in the back!!" Merry retorts
"Im sorry Frodo but I'm with Sam on this one, we have to do away with him!"
There was a shuddering gasp that caused the hobbits to look up, seeing that Peony had put her sword through Gollum's spine into his chest cavity, his body relaxing as one last panicked "HCK!" exits his mouth
Frodo's look was one of disgust, Peony withdrew her sword and looked up, "...what? I thought this wan a "the I's have it" situation."
Sam lowered his pan, "I suppose it was, good Job Peony."
Frodo knelt to look at the dead Smeagol, "He was so tortured..."
"All the more to put him out of that misery." Says Pippin
"Pip he gets it." Merry tried to calm his friend down, but Pippin goes in again, "You can't just expect something totally evil to go against its better nature because you thought you were friends!!"
"Well he's dead now, so no point in crying about it...lets get to the forge."
Entering the massive mountain, the group did pass a forge, but beyond that was a sheer cliff heading straight into the volcano.
"Ok so we destroy it now, right?" Sam asked
"Wait..." peony chuckled, "I have an idea."
The hobbits looked anxious as she walked up to the forge, "I have been gathering things for this since before we got to this world...I'm not a wizard...but there are ways you can get magic in my world, without being magic."
Using the forge tools in her own backpack, Peony began to use the forge in mount doom, channeling the raw lava into the ring mould, pulling some enchanting items out as well she began to enchant the molten metal, imbuing it with power, the ore from mount doom enhancing the already potent sorcery a thousandfold!
The mould was lifted and the new ring began to cool instantly, a silver ring with bright blue glowing runes emblazoned upon it.
She snickered as she picked it up, putting it on, a silvery shimmer encompassing her body as she pumped her fist, "I name you, þystru the shadow ring. Fuck yea...you guys can destroy the ring now."
And like that, Frodo, sam, merry and Pippin walked up to the cliff overlooking the magma pool and cheered as Frodo dropped it in.
All of a sudden there was a massive upheaval in the ground at their feet as the volcano roiled!
"Time to go!" Peony began sprinting out the door, the hobbits fumbled quickly behind!
The group hurried down the mountain, but could not outrun the flow of lava!
In their desperation they continued until a glowing figure appeared and parted the lava, diverting it away from the hobbits!
They stared at the warm light until it faded, revealing Gandalf, now clad all in white, smiling as he had never smiled before, "I am so proud of all of you...I can hardly believe that things went this smoothly..."
A battered Fadron and Gallend limped Over, their weapons covered in blood.
"I see it went well." Gallend coughed, "I'm out of booze...can we take a rest?"
"My scaly friend there will be rest for all." Gandalf said, "Come with me and I will take you where you may gain respite."
And in a white flash, the group and indeed the rest of the fellowship was taken to Rivendell, where Elrond had prepared a feast.
There was much celebration and merriment at the defeat of this great evil, that the world was saved.
Eating and drinking, song and dance.
And when the party was well into it's swing, Peony got up on the table and sang a song from her hometown.
The farmer and the she-troll.
The song was funny, but not so funny that it didn't make the elves and princes highly uncomfortable.
The hobbits got way into it though, singing along once they got the lyrics down.
At the end of the night it was time to part ways, elves and men, once more staunch allies, parted ways with smiles and farewells.
Meanwhile, a portal opened in the dining hall, Gandalf smiled at Fadron who had managed to repair himself pretty well.
"Fadron Bulkhead, a more mighty warrior our world could not have asked for...I bid you a fond farewell."
The party left, full of smiles and tired sighs.
Only to find themselves in a place that wasn't their home.
"MOTHER FUCKER!!"
The end.
(This has been a pleasure to write, if anyone wants to see Fadron, Gallend and Peony again, leave a review of what story you want me to put them in and I'll see what I can do, thank you for reading)
