Battle of the Determined Wills

Izuku is seen walking over to the waiting room for his next match and thinking about Ochaco's match as well, he did feel kind of bad for her that she didn't win the match like she promised but he was also proud of her for giving the match her all through every second.

"(Ochaco, just like you, I'm going to do my best.)" Izuku thought clutched his fist.

Just then, Katsuki comes up the stairs and flinches in anger upon seeing Izuku here about to cross his path as he also notices his rival coming up.

"Oh, hey Kacchan!" Izuku gasped.

"What the Hell are you doing here?" Katsuki demanded.

"Oh, well, I'm up next, so you know. I was gonna hang in the waiting room." Izuku explained, still acting a bit nervous around Katsuki.

"Um, also congrats on winning your match. See you 'round!" Izuku nervously walked away from Katsuki, hoping the exploding guy was somewhat cool with how hard Ochaco fought.

"Let me ask you this. It was your idea, wasn't it? That stupid, desperate, almost worked plan of hers." Katsuki asked causing Izuku to stop making the green hair boy realize that he is talking about the meteor shower plan Ochaco did back in that fight.

"I swear, if you had anything to do with that then—"

"You're wrong." Izuku said, cutting off Katsuki's threat.

"That plan. Uraraka came up with it all on her own, I didn't know anything about it. If that battle was harder than you thought it would be, then it's because of her strategy, not mine." Izuku stated.

"Just wanted to know." Katsuki glared before leaving.

Katsuki went up to the UA Class 1-A seating area as his classmates saw him come in, and Hanta decided to speak first.

"Hey, Bakugo! Playin' the villain, huh? Musta been tough." Hanta teased.

"Even if it was just because of who you were up against, you did make a pretty convincing bad guy." Tsuyu stated bluntly.

"Shut up, you idiots. Or else!" Katsuki angered.

"For real, dude. I don't know how you were able to aim a powerful blast at a frail girl like that. If it was any of the other girls, I could have held back." Denki proclaimed.

"Nah, they would have totally wiped the floor with you." Tsuyu believed, making Denki flinch from feeling his heart being hurt like that.

"Hmph. I definitely wouldn't call that girl "frail"." Katsuki whispered to himself that he can respect Uraraka for being tough.

(Player Waiting Room)

Izuku makes his way to the waiting room to get himself ready for his big battle with Shoto Todoroki meaning it's going to be intense, he knows he'll need to be on the lookout for his ice since it's his main go-to approach.

"(Todoroki used his fire side on Futayo to keep her from coming back into the ring, the side he almost never uses.)" Izuku thought recalled how Shoto suddenly used his fire.

"(It was almost like Futayo was trying to help Todoroki open himself up a bit more, to embrace his power that he hated so much because of how he lived with his father.)" Izuku thought started to see that.

"Maybe I should help him too." Izuku said to himself out loud.

"Help who, Deku?" Kimi asked.

Izuku jump a little in surprise when he heard Kimi's voice then looks up to see that she and Ochaco are in the waiting room together, Ochaco seem to have tears in her eyes and her head close onto Kimi's breasts with the erotic girl's hand petting Ochaco's head.

"Ochaco! And Kimi! What are you two doing here?" Izuku asked.

"Ochaco here was trying to play it tough to not let the lost get to her but I knew that she needs to let out her feelings to truly feel better." Kimi explained.

"Yeah, in her own way, Kimi really helped out." Ochaco nodded as she moves a little away from Kimi and saw a handprint on her right cheek.

"What happened to your face!" Izuku gasped.

"Oh, this? Kimi gave me a hard slap to knock some sense into me." Ochaco answered, still feeling the sting on the right cheek.

"Do you mean the same slap she did on Yaoyorozu?" Izuku asked gasp.

"Oh, relax. I didn't slap her that hard." Kimi assured the slap was "harmless" on Ochaco.

"Well, I'm glad you're feeling better Ochaco because your match was amazing even though you were overwhelmed by Kacchan's attacks. You kept fighting to the end, it almost made my heart explode!" Izuku complimented.

"Oh, thank you! Hearing you say that makes me feel a little better now." Ochaco giggled with her cheeks blushing.

"So, have you thought of any plans for your fight with Shoto?" Kimi asked.

"Not quite, but I know the battle may be my toughest one yet." Izuku said, not looking scared.

"Well, whatever happens, I know you're going to do great out there!" Kimi smiled with a hand on Izuku's chest.

"Y-Yeah, I'll definitely do my very best!" Izuku nodded stutter with his cheeks blushing.

"Glad to hear that because you still need to fulfill that promise of yours, and I have a feeling that you'll delivery it with a Plus Ultra." Kimi smiled, leaning her face closer to his causing Izuku to blush even harder.

"I'll be watching you." Kimi winked.

"Come, Ochaco, we need to give Izuku some privacy to get himself ready for this match." Kimi said as she walks away.

"Oh, huh, right." Ochaco said, having felt weird from seeing Kimi being so close to Izuku.

"Do your best!" Ochaco said as she leaves the room.

Ochaco caught up to Kimi with a curious question in her mind that she decided to ask her right now.

"So, Kimi, what exactly did you and Deku promise each other?" Ochaco asked.

"Oh my, are you feeling jealous?" Kimi asked with a teasing giggle.

"No, no, no, it's nothing like that! I was just wondering, that's all! It's not like I have a crush on him or anything!" Ochaco proclaimed, trying to play off only seeing Izuku as a friend.

"(Oh, your blushing cheeks are saying otherwise.)" Kimi thought smiled.

"Let just say we felt something between us when we first met on that beach, but that's all I can say for you will have to wait in the end." Kimi explained.

Kimi looks down at the waiting room, thinking about Izuku and the promise they made on that beach two weeks ago. She smiles knowing that the mighty Deku will delivery that promise knowing her faith in him wasn't misplace, and she can feel her heart beating a bit.

"By the way, I think you should give your parents a call." Kimi said.

"Oh, my parents." Ochaco realized that her dad called him earlier, and now needs to call him back.

(With Izuku)

"Alright everybody, the break is now over and it's time for the second-round matches to begin!" Present Mic announced.

"Oh yeah, now I'm feeling very pump up!" Makiko shouted excitedly.

"At least try to behave like the adult you're supposed to be." Aizawa sighed.

"Where's the fun in that?" Makiko asked.

"Okay, looks like it's time." Izuku said even though he only got a few minutes of himself.

Izuku walks out of the room and walk into the hallway to make his way for the fighting ring while thinking about Kimi and how she reminded him of the promise they made.

"(I have to give this my all and make it to the top, then I can finally give my promise to Kimi!)" Izuku thought determined.

"(It's kind of funny, we've only known each other for a short time like back at the beach and here in the Sports Festival, but I can't help but feel happy to have her around and growing closer to her. It's like we were meant to be.)" Izuku thought smiled.

But then something unexpected came out from the corner of the hallway on the right, and that something is none other than the Number 2 hero of Japan, the Flame Hero: Endeavor.

"Endeavor?!" Izuku yelped.

"Ah, I was looking for you." Endeavor said, turning his sight on Izuku.

"(He was looking for me?!)" Izuku thought gasped, trying to keep his cool.

"Uh, yeah, hi. So, uh, what are you doing back here?" Izuku asked as Endeavor step a bit closer to him.

"I watched your fight against the brainwashing guy. Your power is pretty impressive, back how well you did in the previous two games with showing so much strength and creating so much wind pressure with your arms and even a flick of your fingers does so as well." Endeavor mentioned.

"All that reminds me of another Quirk. You seem to have much in common with All Might." Endeavor said.

"(Crap, he's seeing me, and All Might having things in common just Shoto!)" Izuku thought freaked out a bit.

"Really? I guess I never thought about it that way." Izuku tried to play it off that he doesn't see it.

"Sorry, but I should get going." Izuku walked away.

"(Is it possible that he knows about one for all? No, he probably would have mentioned it. He's one person I can't let find out about All Might's secret.)" Izuku thought knew about the rivalry between All Might and Endeavor, how heated things can be.

"It's my Shoto's duty to surpass All Might as the number one hero." Endeavor said which causes Izuku to stop.

"And his match with you will be a good testing ground for how much training he has left." Endeavor stated that he wants to see how far he has come.

"As you already know, Shoto just begun to use more of his fire side like when he used it once in that fight with Futayo Honda." Endeavor recalled that fight.

"I know her father and fought in sparring matches several times, sometimes even real fights and yet he manages to always get some wins the same amount I do against him." Endeavor explained.

"(I see, so Futayo's dad must be a Pro Hero if there is someone who is able to fight Endeavor and his fire Quirk.)" Izuku thought realized.

"Futayo managed to make Shoto use even just a spark of his fire, and now I want to see if you can make that spark burn brighter into an inferno." Endeavor said with a serious glare.

"Don't disgrace yourself or him by holding back." Endeavor requested Izuku to make Shoto to fire with his fire side.

Hearing all of those words made Izuku remember back on that private conversation he had with Shoto after the Calvary Battle and the words Shoto said.

(Flashback)

"The reason I picked a fight with you was to show my old man what I was capable of doing. Without having to rely on his damned fire Quirk." Shoto explained.

"You see, I'm going to show him that I reject his power, and I can take first place without using it." Shoto determined.

(Flashback End)

Izuku started to understand a little more about how Shoto feels about his father trying to make him into something that is not entirely his own goal, and fear that Shoto may walk down a dark path of a hero.

"Now, now, Enji." A woman's voice said surprising Endeavor and Izuku.

"You shouldn't be involving other people into your own family affairs when it's on very thin ice and above very hot water." Turenne walked up to them.

"Reine des Garous!" Izuku surprised to the blonde heroine here.

"Damn it, you always find a way to butt into something that doesn't concern you." Endeavor said, upset of seeing this woman here.

"Because when it comes to my Senpai and former hero partner, it does concern me to know that you are still trying to do something that you quit doing a long time ago." Turenne stated.

"Don't you dare start with me!" Endeavor glared.

"That's right, I remember upon graduating from another hero school, Reine des Garous decided to become a sidekick for Endeavor for five years until she decided to leave and become her own hero." Izuku remembered researching on Turenne and Endeavor being together once.

"Oh man, now I know you're the biggest hero fanboy I have ever met and so cute too!" Turenne giggled causing Izuku to blush like crazy.

"Now, I believe you have a match to get to. Run along now." Turenne gently pushed Izuku away.

"Right, I'll be going now." Izuku nodded but stop for a moment.

"Endeavor, I'm not All Might. And Shoto isn't you. He maybe your son, but he is not you." Izuku stated strongly before leaving.

Endeavor was shocked to hear this coming from a child and left him confused as well, and hearing a giggle from Turenne didn't set his mood as well.

"You find something funny?" Endeavor asked.

"Pardon me, it just that you got scolded by a child of all things! I wonder how your agency would react if they knew!" Turenne grinned.

"Don't you even dare mention a word of this!" Endeavor angered of this.

"Enji, don't you think it's about time you stop forcing your kid to become a weapon and let him become his own hero?" Turenne asked.

"Seriously, this again?" Endeavor grunted, already knowing this talk is gonna happen again.

"The only reason your son is rejecting to use your is because of how much pressure and being such a brutal father, I've known you well enough that you're the most stubborn man who refuses to back down to reach his goal using his own strength instead of using others to do it for him." Turenne stated.

"What are you getting at?" Endeavor asked. Not seeing the point.

"I'm saying that you're not the Endeavor I once worked alongside as his sidekick, you've change from the man who still chases after All Might to someone who's resolve became weak." Turenne pointed out.

"Are you saying I've become weak?" Endeavor asked, getting angry.

"Maybe I am, since you've given up on surpassing All Might with your own strength." Turenne said.

"But I also know that you're doing this because you're still hurt on the inside, ever since what happened to your eldest son. 15 years ago." Turenne mentioned.

"We're done talking." Endeavor walked away, not wanting to hear anymore words from this woman.

"It's not just hurting you; it's also hurting your wife and your other two older children since Shoto never got to know him. The road to healing for you and your family is still open, just know it's never too late to forgive yourself." Turenne said.

"Oh, and tell Rei I said hello when you go see her at the hospital!" Turenne said.

"That woman… Can't she mind her own business?" Endeavor asked.

But then his angry expression started to soften up when Turenne mentioned Rei in the hospital she is staying at due to her condition.

"I wonder if that blue flower I left her has welter yet?" Endeavor asked.

(Fighting Stage)

"Oh man, I'm already on the edge of my seats and the match hasn't even started." Ochaco said.

"I know, and I'm glad that you're feeling alright after your big lost from Bakugo." Tenya smiled for the cheered up Ochaco.

"Even if you find yourself wallowing. Use this next fight as a source of encouragement." Fumikage advised.

"Will do?" Ochaco nodded.

"You're so wise!" Tenya shocked.

"Okay everybody, are you all ready?" Makiko asked excitedly.

"Because it is now finally time to start the second-round's first match and I know it's gonna be epic!" Present Mic shouted smirking.

"It's the guy who won his last fight with the fire of victory and literally too, leaving us both hot and cold! The hero's course, Shoto Todoroki!" Present Mic introduced Shoto walking on the ring.

"Versus the kid who amazes us throughout the festival and almost lost to being brainwashed but was able to pull himself together and win! Also a Hero Course student, Izuku Midoriya!" Makiko introduced Izuku who is also on the ring.

"So, here we are." Shoto said.

"And only one of us can win." Izuku said as well, both fighters are ready to give this battle their all and then some. But Izuku knew better that Shoto wouldn't use his fire, but maybe he can make him like how Futayo did.

"(Todoroki, I'm going to save you!)" Izuku thought determined.
