In the small, dreary, and sleepy town of Clamburg, a girl with green hair and green skin mixes ingredients on her kitchen stove. But this girl isn't preparing a meal for her family. She is actually making monsters that she calls "fiends", which she plans to unleash upon her town to bring it under her reign of terror.
This young girl's name is Vendetta Mortcheva, and she is a mad scientist of sorts who has been making fiends and terrorizing people in her town for as long as she can remember. With the help of the fiends she creates, she has turned her once happy and peaceful hometown into a grim, foreboding place, with stores shuttered and the populace cowed before the horror of Vendetta's watchful fiends. Ever since Vendetta came to Clamburg, she has gained complete control over it, and there is nothing anyone can do about it.
All the citizens of Clamburg know how diabolical Vendetta is, which is why a lot of people are afraid of her, but no one knows the reason for her extreme unhappiness and desire to dominate the world. It has remained a big mystery for years. This is because Vendetta has a shocking secret about her past that she does not wish to expose. Not even to her parents, her classmates, or even her worst enemy, the ever-so-cheerful Charlotte.
You see, like any other good villain, Vendetta's past was rather dark and troubled. It was not completely tragic, per se, but it still had a powerful influence on the girl's life. This horrible past of Vendetta's is the real reason as to why she's so bitter and hateful, yet she refuses to tell anyone about it because it's a little too painful for her. It is a story of abuse, neglect, and a very shocking discovery. Even though Vendetta is reluctant to reveal her secret origins, we shall reveal them for her. After all, the story must be told.
One thing a lot of people don't know about Vendetta is that she is an adopted child. That means her parents, Viktor and Violetta, didn't raise her from birth. She also wasn't born naturally like other children. Like her fiends, she is merely a creation rather than an actual human being. Although she looks, acts, and behaves like a human, she was made using witchcraft. But it wasn't an actual witch that created her. It was someone else. Someone who never practiced witchcraft once in his life, yet was feared and hated by many people.
This person in particular had very strange mannerisms and eccentric features. He had green skin just like Vendetta, but while she is human-like in appearance, the person who made her is a bit more imp-like. His most prominent feature, however, are his rather deformed hands, which haunt those who dare to see an image of him. Believe it or not, he used these hands to grab Vendetta by the throat if she misbehaved or disobeyed him.
This peculiar person goes by the name Salad Fingers. You may be familiar with his name alone. As everyone knows, Salad Fingers (or SF for short) has a seemingly twisted mind and is strangely obsessed with anything involving rusty metal objects (especially spoons). Despite living in a desolate place and having a deranged appearance, SF usually seems relatively harmless, and comes across as polite and good-natured if you first meet him. However, even though he doesn't seem to be a bad person at first and is just shown to be a bit of a scatterbrain at times, he's actually quite hostile and violent. He just doesn't show his true colors very much, although he still gets people in trouble or harms them, whether he realizes it or not. There's a reason why he acts the way he does, but nobody knows what it is exactly. Like his "daughter", he has some secrets that no one really knows about, but shall be revealed in this story. Even though he was the one who created Vendetta and raised her as his daughter for a while, he did not show very much respect to her. He was not a kind and loving father to his daughter at all, which may be one of the reasons she became the cruel, vengeful girl she is now. Because of his influence on her, Vendetta has been looking for other people to torment herself in order to take out her anger.
But most importantly, when Vendetta was created, her name was not Vendetta. SF actually had a different name in mind, but his daughter changed it after she ran away to Clamburg and got adopted by Viktor and Violetta. But the reason why she decided to change her name will be explained later.
Now that we've gotten our little exposition out of the way, it's time to tell you the secret origins of Vendetta the fiend maker, and how she became the evil little girl we all know today. By the time this story is finished, can we trust you to keep Vendetta's secret about her terrible past? If so, you must not tell anyone else. Not even Charlotte or any of the other Clamburg residents.
Let's begin.
