Kazuma rubbed his eyes as he opened the door and he couldn't help but raise an eyebrow when he found a pair of strangers standing outside.

"Sato Kazuma?" the man asked

'Yeah." Kazuma answers the man.

"Were you almost run over by a tractor?" the man asks him and as much as he wants to lie about his humiliating experience he chooses to tell the truth.

'Yeah what about it?" he asks the man.

"Just one more question, Aqua- Eris- Meguming and Darkness do all of these names sound familiar?" the man asks him and Kazuma can't help but feel his heart beat faster than it ever did.

The world begins to spin as the shock and lack of sleep hit him, he soon finds that the two strangers are holding onto him with worried expressions.

'How do you know about them?" Kazuma asks the man.

"Can we talk inside?" the man asks him and Kazuma eagerly lets the pair into the house.

Kazuma leads the pair to the living room and when the three of them are sitting on the couch the man begins to talk.

"I'm just like you but unlike you, I was sent here, and no I didn't meet anyone. Somehow I just ended up in this world that resembles my own." the man says to him.

"Oookay, let's say that I believe you what can I do to?' Kazuma asks the man.

"In all honesty Kazuma I need your help getting home and if I can't get home, I want to be able to live in this world without worrying about the magus that live in it." the man answers him.

Kazuma watches as the purple-haired woman takes out a notebook from her large purse and opens it to a page that's covered in lines and dots.

"I'm gathering a team made out of outcasts and let's be honest here people that didn't make it.' the man says to him as he looks at the woman that's with him and back to Kazuma.

"Every world and every possibility connects at a certain point, but every point doesn't have to connect to everything else because there's no need for it to do so." the man points at the dots that are spread over the page.

"There are paths that connect those points, if the paths didn't exist then the points couldn't connect." the man explains to Kazuma and Kazuma can't help but nod at his explanation.

"Now comes the hard part, if what I just said is true, then all of those points and paths should connect to a single dot."

"The origin and end of everything, that's what I'm aiming for' the man says to Kazuma as he looks into Kazuma's eyes with a look that screams do you understand.

"Oooookayyy? So what does it have to do with me?" Kazuma asks the man.

'What if there was a way of getting you back to that world, I'm not saying that we could find it, but there's a chance that we might find it." the man says to him, and Kazuma can't help but lower his head and stare at the floor.

For a long moment, none of them make any noise as Kazuma screams inside his head.

He knows that he should refuse the stranger's offer, he knows that getting involved in things like this brings nothing but trouble.

Despite all of this he stands up stretches out his hand and says "Deal."

Kazuma feels the man grab his hand before he stands up and tightens his grip.

The stranger continues to tighten his grip until it becomes unbearable and Kazuma begins to scream in pain.

Kazuma realizes that he isn't feeling any pain and the stranger has already let go of his hand and yet he can't help but feel the man's grip on his hand.

'What's going on?" Kazuma asks the stranger as the image of another him, kneeling in pain, as the stranger breaks his hand appears in the same spot where he is standing.

"Different points are connecting, in one universe I am a villain who used this opportunity to steal your magic instead of awakening it"

"In another, you managed to escape from here, in another, you beat me in a fight, and in another, you didn't." the man explains to him as these events appear in front of him.

"Can they see us?" Kazuma asks the man.

"Maybe, maybe not, I honestly don't know, nor do I care. I just want to go home remember, let them deal with their own choices." the man answers him.

Kazuma instinctively raises his right hand and summons a small flame that is strong enough to be compared to the fire of a lighter that anyone can buy from the gas station.

"So what happens now?" Kazuma asks the man who hasn't introduced himself yet.

'Now my young adventurer we get ready for war, because we need one more person for this and after that we... You know what let's try to survive our first mission together."

"Oh before I forget my name is Mark, the girl next to me is Sakura." Mark introduces Sakura who waves at Kazuma and Kazuma does the same before the two of them shake hands.

"Now that we all know each other, do you think that you're able to fight or do you want to wait for tomorrow?" Mark asks him.

'I want to say let's go but...I need to get some sleep and I need to start looking for a job." Kazuma answers Mark.

"There is a small bookstore near my house, you can start working there and you can use it as an excuse for anything that people get suspicious about.' Sakura answers him.

"Great I'll see you tomorrow then." Mark says to Kazuma before he starts to walk towards the door.

Kazuma can only stare as the man seems to vanish into the lines of the door.

"How did he?" Kazuma looks at Sakura who shrugs her shoulders.

'To be honest, I don't know, but he says that the line connects to something and he uses that to get to wherever he needs to go." Sakura answers him before she walks up to the door.

Kazuma watches as Sakura puts her hands on the edges of the lines and puts her fingers on the corners of the door, but when nothing happens she gives up and opens the door.

the moment that the door opens Kazma sees something that shouldn't exist, he sees a world made of endless paths of light that seem to go on for eternity.

He watches as Sakura hesitates before leaping into the strange world and closing the door behind her.

Kazuma tries to catch the door before it closes, but for some reason, he is unable to do so and so he is forced to open the door again only to find that the world outside is the same one that he has always known.
