p style="margin: 0px; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 13px; line-height: normal; font-family: Arial; color: #1a1a1a;"So basically the games take place in an arena that is actually a small portion of a crumbling city. You have a huge building in the center, that is like 50 floors high and very wide. Most windows appear to be barely olding as the building looks very old. That's where the Cornucopia is, on the ground floor and where all the tributes appear to start the game. There isnt much space outside, just some streets and no place to get shelter really. The rain is pouring outside right from the beginning of the game. /p
p style="margin: 0px; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 13px; line-height: normal; font-family: Arial; color: #1a1a1a;"The game start and Finnick joins the carreer from the jump as they noticed he was very popular with the audience and they hope they'll get gifts from hanging out with him a little before taking him out. Remember it is said that Finnick won at 14, the youngest of all winners so they dont see him as a threat even though he is pretty fit and got good score. They take control of the Cornucopia as most tributes decide to go outside first before realising there isnt anything outside except this horrible rain. The surviving tributes go back inside and climb up to get to the upper floors while avoiding the huge room the Cornucopia (and the careers) are in./p
p style="margin: 0px; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 13px; line-height: normal; font-family: Arial; color: #1a1a1a;"The first night goes pretty well but its very cold. Finnick's group manages to make a fire using ressources from the Cornucopia so they are alright. One of the carreers goes outside and see a light from the thrid floor, indicating that there is another tribute there, lighting a fire. They go kill him. Finnick notices that one of the carreer girls, the girl from 2, cant look while the others are murdering people. He remembers she killed on the opening of the game though, but maybe she's not like the others./p
p style="margin: 0px; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 13px; line-height: normal; font-family: Arial; color: #1a1a1a;"When they take turn sleeping, but they soon realize that they wont be able to stay on the ground floor. The rain is pouring so hard that water is getting inside and is already getting to their knees. They take whatever they need from the cornucopia and decide to go to the top floor to avoid having to move again. They all think that this would be the game's gimmick, the water rising and forcing the tributes to reunite on the top floor so they think by getting there first, they'll be able to setup traps and shit like that./p
p style="margin: 0px; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 13px; line-height: normal; font-family: Arial; color: #1a1a1a;"When they are about to leave, the boy from 1 makes sure to break the trident from the cornucopia so Finnick cant take it. Finnick was a little cocky during training and showed everbody how skilled he was with that specific weapon. Finnick stay composed and acts like its not a big deal but he knows he is in deep shit. The only weapon close to the trident, the spear, is used by this dan boy from one, so he ends up with a small knife tucked in his socks and and a sword. /p
p style="margin: 0px; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 13px; line-height: normal; font-family: Arial; color: #1a1a1a;"On the way to the top, they kill a few tributes, but not that many. They realize how big the place is and how hard it is for them to be discreet with their big bags, so the smart tributes hear them coming and are able to hide to avoid the confrontation. /p
p style="margin: 0px; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 13px; line-height: normal; font-family: Arial; color: #1a1a1a;"They get to the top but someone apparently thought of their plan before them as the boy from one walks into a hunters trap and get a bad injury to the knee. Forced to look for material to stop the bleeding and heal him, they find some stuff in the drawers, but are forced to stay two floors below whoever planned this./p
p style="margin: 0px; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 13px; line-height: normal; font-family: Arial; color: #1a1a1a;"They make camp there, the boy from 1 gets worse, and they quickly realize there was also poison on the trap.m, but they don't know what kind. He starts to sweat and say crazy stuff, before becoming extremely violent, like he got rabbies. A confrontation ensues, the girl from one gets killed, and the girl from 2 take the enraged tribute down with a deadly strike from her dagger. The carrers go from 5 to 3, and this is pretty bad considering usually this strong alliance gets to survive until day 7 or 8. This is barely day 3. Finnick feels the tension rising between the two other tributes from 2 but tries to not pick a side at first. He realizes this is about to get crazy and wants to get out of this as quickly as possible, but they are on the most dangerous area of the arena as everybody keeps climbing up because of the water that keeps rising, and the top floor is still home to this crazy anonymous tribute that was able to make such a trap is such a small amount of time. Before he can do anything, a short electronic melody disrupts the conversation between the 3 of them. It's coming from the main elevator that didn't seem to work prior to this. This is strange. The group goes to check on it, and Finnick decides to use the distraction to take the spear from the dead boy, hoping the others would notice. At the elevator, they find a gift for the girl from 2. It's a strange sphere, almost like a kind of grenade. The girl recognizes it and explains to the other two that this is a gaz bomb. They can use it to trap whoever is on the top floor as this can fill up an entire floor with a horrible gas that makes anyone cry their eyes out./p
p style="margin: 0px; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 13px; line-height: normal; font-family: Arial; color: #1a1a1a;"The tension between the 3 of them seem to be appeased by this gift, but Finnick notices the girls eyes lingering on his stolen spear for a second. She noticed. They cook up a plan to block all the potential escapes from the top floor except one, where they will meet whoever gets down to escape the gas. /p
p style="margin: 0px; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 13px; line-height: normal; font-family: Arial; color: #1a1a1a;"When they throw the grenade, everything is ready, but nobody comes down to meet them. An hour pass, and they start to smell the gas coming down on them now from the ventilation and they understand what fucked up. Whoever was upstarts heard they talk about their plan and left before they could trap them. The boy from two gets angry from this and accuses the girl to be trying to cross him and Finnick, and Finnick decides to agree with him even though this is just a stupid accusation. Finnick is extremely wary of her since he saw her notice the spear, and she has been acting strange for some time now. The girls feels the table turning and uses the distraction of the gas now filling up their floor to escape and run for a lower floor. Finnick and the boy from two hide in a closet to let the gas dissipate and fall asleep after discussing their life before the games and bounding a little. /p
