"ATTENTION, THIS IS THE HALL MONITOR PATROL!" we heard a familiar voice call from outside. "WE HAVE THE PLACE SURROUNDED! COME OUT WITH YOUR HANDS UP!"

While it was too bright to see, the Imaginaries and I realized that it was Amelia calling.

We all looked at Odette and Daniel, then at each other, then to the door.

"I REPEAT, COME OUT WITH YOUR HANDS UP OR..." Amelia called again, stopping short when she saw someone stepped out the Imagination Lodge.

"Nathan?!" Amelia and Mr. Arrow said in shock.

"Oh, oh, gosh. That's definitely not good." said Dr. Doppler.

"What in the world..." Amelia began before seeing the Imaginaries exiting the lodge, feeling ashamed.

"...are you all doing here outside of school hours?" she added, starting to feel aggravated.

"Don't be mad at them, please." Odette begged as she and Daniel hurried out of the lodge. "It wasn't their fault...or Nathan's. It was mine. I just wanted to see where Nathan went to school since he's been talking a lot about this place."

"Which is against the rules." called another voice

We all turned to see someone slide down the playground pole.

My eyes widen on seeing…

"Lucy?!"

"You called them?" asked Daniel.

"But…why would you do this?" added Odette.

"Because a certain someone is disrupting the way things are." Lucy replied, frowning at…

"Me? What have I done that was so disruptive?" I asked.

"Take Charlie Brown for instance." Lucy said with a glare. "He is not allowed to accomplish anything, nor is he to have lunch with anyone!"

"He was lonely just like me!" I argued. "What else was I supposed to do, stay away from him?"

"YES!"

Lucy's shout was so loud, it frightened those around us.

"As well as everyone else!" she added.

"That's it!" SpongeBob said, pulling out a pencil and a pad of paper. "I'm writing you up!"

"No, you're not." said Amelia.

"But why? Is it because she's not a student here?" asked SpongeBob.

"No, it's because...you're done." replied Amelia.

I was stunned with what I was hearing. So were the other Imaginaries, along with Odette and Daniel.

SpongeBob was more than stunned as he asked. "Done? You mean I'm...fired?"

"Captain, you can't be serious." protested Mr. Arrow.

"Actually, Mr. Arrow, I am." replied Amelia, who looked back at SpongeBob. "When you asked me to be hall monitor back at graduation, you swore that you wouldn't let me down. But you have."

"But, Captain..." SpongeBob began, but Amelia cut him, saying. "When I told you to stay put while I went to check on Nathan, you wouldn't listen!"

"Patrick and I thought you could use a break." SpongeBob tried to explain. "We were just trying to help!"

"But not only did you disobey me," Amelia went on. "You also played a part in this...break-in!"

"It wasn't a break-in!" I explained. "It was...just a tour."

"Which you shouldn't have done after school hours." Lucy added smugly.

"NOBODY ASKED FOR YOUR OPINION, LUCY!" I shouted.

"Nathan, enough!" snapped Amelia, who turned back to SpongeBob, telling him. "I tried to be supportive, Mr. Squarepants. I tried to give you a chance. But it's clear that you are not worthy of this position, which is why I am relieving you of your duties as hall monitor."

SpongeBob looked at her extended hand, realizing she wanted his uniform.

"But, I…Captain…"

"Hand! Them! OVER!" Amelia demanded, her anger starting to rise.

Not wanting to make Amelia more angrier, SpongeBob did as he was ordered.

We watched helplessly as he took off his belt and cap, giving them to Amelia, who handed them to Mr. Arrow.

"Now, get out of my sight." she said coldly.

"Captain, please. You don't understand." I said, only to be cut off by Amelia yelling. "ALL OF YOU!"

I started to quiver and breathe heavily as Squidward gently walked me out the fence.

SpongeBob quivered too, sniffling as he, along with Patrick and Mr. Krabs, followed me and Squidward.

I looked back to see Odette standing outside the fence, then looked away with a cold frown.

Odette hung her head low as Daniel came to comfort her.

While watching the Imaginaries and I leave Foster City School, Amelia felt her fury turn to regret.

As he, too, watched, Dr. Doppler frowned when he noticed the smug smile on Lucy's face.

"Now, see here..." he began, only to have his hand shook, as well as Amelia's, by Lucy, who said. "There's to be no discussion and no need to thank me."

"Nobody's thanking you at all, Lucy!" rebuffed Daniel. "In fact, I'm putting you in detention for this."

"A student body president never gets detention." Lucy said arrogantly, then left, feeling satisfied with herself.

Daniel was about to catch up with her, but Odette held him back, saying. "We should go."

Seeing that there was nothing he could do now, Daniel sighed, nodding with agreement.
