Skitch's 1st retry, Chapter 2, Ice Caves;

Blinx, Skye, and Skitch were sprinting out of the narrow cave, back across the ice bridge, with a large fireball just grazing behind them.

The three sweepers charged at full speed. Blinx and Skye an arm's length away. Skitch kept his full pace to keep up. Just shy of the half way point, he left foot landed on the bridge. As too did a large stalagtite. The stalagtite crashed through the bridge without any loss of momentum. Out of reflex, Skitch lept backwards. He eyed Blinx and Skye, who had just turned around to check if he was behind them. Skitch planted his feet on the corner of the bridge's break, bending his knees, folding his body in; and in one violent motion, pushed himself from the edge. Soaring through the air.

Skitch jumped most of the gap, reaching forward arms first. His arms barely cleared the gap, with Skitch slamming chest first into the other side of the bridge. Skye immediately rushed to him, falling to her knees to grab him. Yet it was as she made it to Skitch, that he started to slide backward. The distance Skye cleared to reach him matched the distance he slipped. Skitch ran out of arm span, and in one valiant attempt, tried to jut forward once more to grab Skye, but would ultimately prove unsuccessful. His hands plunged under the floor line of the bridge. Missing Skye's hands by mere inches.

Skitch's freefall shifted his body from a stiff arc to a flailing mess. The fall accelerating him faster, faster, faster. Until, all at once, he felt the freezing water embraced him. With Skitch splashing through the surface.

The rumbling ceased, all the noise dampened to a peaceful oblivion. Skitch sunk deeper and deeper into the water, gently slowing down as the depth climbed. The odd serenity the cold water offered continued the further from the surface Skitch plunged. His aquatic freefall would be cut short, however, when his back met the materials and machinery in the water's depth. The slow crash pulled his limbs down to match his back. Hitting the random assortment of materials with a heartbeat rhythm. Skitch's air supply was slowly running short. His mind set to end this moment of calm, ready to return to action. He flailed his arms a little bit, twisting his body into an upright position, and using all his strength, pulled his strongest stroke, desperate to break free.

Yet no such movement happened.

Skitch's right foot had ensnared itself. Tightly bound to a cable that refused to let go. He tugged his leg tighter and tighter, only seeing himself move toward his foot, as oppose to the other way round. Skitch's chest began to ache, move and nose getting a little tired. The cold shock mixed with the lack of air slowly took hold. Skitch curled on himself, using his hands to frantically pull himself free. His eyes began to squint, his chest starting to buck and spasm. Inevitably, he pulled himself free from the tangle. Immediately rising from the depth. The water's surface slowly grew closer, slowly becoming brighter. Skitch's legs began to seize on him, his eyes blurred, soon he became motionless, desperately trying to keep his breath inside him.

Skitch's blurring eyes worsened until their vision dipped fully black, if only for a brief moment. Skitch's mouth lost the air inside of it, slowly bubbling away. His body frantically pulling in anything in the attempt that it would be air. But all his lungs pulled in was water. The vast amount feeling as if it was a searing burn. Skitch's body slowly lost any remaining coordination, leaving a twitching body behind, at it was this point, that Skitch's sweeper flickered a bright, blood red light.

Blinx's 1st retry, Chapter 2, Ice Caves

The ice slab tumbled forward, moving straight toward Blinx. Who was trapped on a rocked, and wrecked ship. The shadows of the ice enveloped him, but Blinx remained steadfast, eyes widened, body stiffened. With the slab too close to escape, Blinx pulled in a sharp breath of air, and jammed his eyes shut. Waiting for impact.

The ice slammed into the angled floor of the ship, and while this didn't stop the ice, it did adjust the course just a slight bit, with the middle of the slab now moving the same direction as the top. This slid the ice out of the wrecked ship, and down along the angled floor, pulling Blinx with it. Blinx slipped from his perched point at the edge of the ship's decking, and fell the height of the ship onto the base of a stalactite below. Blinx's landing caused him to flop into a forward roll before tumbling onto his stomach. The hard landing damaging both his ankles and his knees. Blinx, eyes jammed shut, held his right knee in pain, rolling on his back for a better reach. He opened his eyes for a split second to see that slab of ice falling in his direction. It was falling too fast, there was no missing it.

'Blinx! No!' Roland screamed out. Roland had been watching the entire scene unfold, waiting to see if Blinx needed any help. His lack of action dooming Blinx.

The bottom of the slab landed on top of Blinx. Crushing him without any mercy. This crushing triggered a loud, screeching field of electricity to emanate from where Blinx was lying. This field of electricity expanded, speeding up the more it already expanded. Within the field, everything froze solid, and faded to red.

Skye's first retry, Chapter 5, town square

Skye was on one side of the square, tucked up on the ledge the rest of the team couldn't reach, looping the whole way around the square. And sitting upon the opposite ledge, was a Dust Herder.

The Dust Herder conjured up a piece of junk to throw at Skye from its staff. Motioning it behind its head, the Herder charged an attack, which it unleashed in the form of a warped wooden bench. Skitch called out to Skye, begging her to drop on her stomach. Her ear twitched, hearing Skitch's command. She turned to see behind her, staring right at the bench hurtling towards her. She froze in fear. The bench clipped a small piece of brick jutting out from the wall Skye walked alongside. This caused the bench to tumble in front of her, the collisions from the wall and the ledge caused the wood to splinter, fray, and ultimately shatter, engulfing Skye in pieces of bench that thankfully were too small to harm her with.

She remained frozen in fear as the Herder's staff slowly started to glow, signalling the beginnings of another piece if junk being materialised. Skye's breathing sharpened in pace. Powerless to move away from the threat. The Herder waved its wand behind its head, and in a brisk motion, summoned an oil drum from its staff, flinging it towards Skye at a great pace. Skye flinched, jamming her eyes shut and tilting her head away. Skitch called out to her from the floor below, but knew it was too late. The drum crashed into Skye with such force that she was knocked over backwards.

She hit the floor of the ledge on her lower back, rolling the rest of her body onto the floor. Her neck tilted forward as a result of her body falling behind her, however, once the rest of her back had been planted on the floor of the ledge, her neck snapped back, smacking the back of her head onto the stone she walked on. Her head bounced upward, and to the side, dragging her centre of mass over to the side of the ledge. Skye's body went limp as it slumped off of the side of the ledge. Skye's unresponsive body caught a split second of pure air time, before ending with her head landing face first onto the paving slabs below. Her time sweeper, still mounted on her back, beeped and glowed a red hue. As it was doing so, blood slowly began to pool from where her head hit the floor.
