Hey, it's been a long, long, long while since I've done this story. I am very sorry for keeping you all waiting for the new chapter. Been having writer's block and been doing other things. And I forgot how many of you who actually enjoy this. Wished I'd gotten back to this sooner. Hope you can forgive me for keeping this on a very long hiatus thing. Hope this new chapter will make it up and hopefully, hopefully I'll do more. Enjoy.

Luz walking through the town of Bonesborough. Carrying a bag of potions to deliver. Luz took the time and scanned her surroundings. The town of Bonesborough is home to many different kinds of demons and witches. Many with terrifying looks. And most come in many different sizes.

As Luz walks a fairy fly by her "Oh, hey little fairy. You need something?" Luz asked the fairy.

"GIVE ME YOUR SKIN!" The fairy opened up her mouth wide, showing her large, jagged teeth.

"Ahh!" Luz shrieks slapping the fairy away. She put her hand on her chest, squeezing it "This place is a nightmare that would kill me any moment." Luz muttered to herself.

"I would like to see them try." Said the demonic voice.

Luz groaned as she recognizes that voice all too well, she tightens her grip on the shack "Now it's not the time or day. Because you're last thing I want to see today, monster." Luz turned to demonic version of herself.

Zul, the other half of Luz sitting on a barrel lending against the wall, just chilling "Hey, you heard the old hag. The name's Zul now. I actually quite like it." Said Zul loving the name.

"Yeah, well… you don't deserve have a name. Plus, why are you even here? Shouldn't you be locked away in my head or something? That potion Eda made should have make sure you wouldn't come out."

"Uh, for the record shit for brains. It's made to prevent me from taking over your body. Doesn't mean I wouldn't show up in your mind." Zul reminded her.

Luz stays silent as Zul went on "Plus, I'm just going to sit back and wait for you to beg."

"Begged? Begged for want?"

"If some creep tries to gobble you without me protecting us. You're going to beg for my help."

"Oh, it won't come to it. The last I want is to beg to some mur-"

"Luz!" Luz stopped at mid-sentence as she heard a familiar voice. Turning her head to see a familiar tiny demon "King? What are you doing here?" Luz asked him.

"What am I doing? What were you doing? Talking to a barrel?" King asked as he pointed his claw at the barrel.

Luz turned only to see Zul gone, she looked at him "Oh, no… It's nothing." Luz tries to come up with an excuse.

"Nothing? Doesn't sound like nothing." But King just shrugged "Aw well, anyway, Eda asked me to keep a close eye on you."

"Keep an eye on me? Why?"

"Well, to make sure you don't go on a murder spree. Because how sensitive you are."

Luz stayed quiet at King comment. She kneels down and hugged him "Thanks. And to be honest, I do need some company." She stood back up and let King hitch a ride on her shoulders "Plus, I do need someone to guide me through the town."

"I'm happily to help." Said King happily.

As Luz started walking, the shadow silhouette of Zul appeared beside her "You knew King was behind me the whole time, didn't ya?" Luz thought so only Zul could hear.

"Yeah, just want to see the look on your face when everyone looked at you with confusion." Said Zul with a mix of mocking and teasing in her tone.

"I hate you, so much."

"Aw, why thank you. That's so sweet of you for saying that." Luz can't help but grunt, feeling sick the way Zul said that.

As the hours passed Luz and King looked exhausted. Luz, however, looked really exhausted not to mention looking unhinged after dropping off a couple potions during her delivery. Especially the part where she nearly got eaten and met weird, bizarre demons. Luz let out a tired sigh as she and King walked down an alleyway to their final stop.

"One more stop. I cannot wait to be done with this." Said Luz tired.

"Yawn, well, at least you survived your first day. And the best part, no one died. At least you should feel better about that?" King trying to cheer her up.

"Yeah, I guess so…" Luz sounded down, she looked at King "You know, it might sound crazy. But I was hoping this place would be more special."

"Special? Special how?"

"Well, as a little girl I always dreamt of going to a magical place where life means something. But lately this place is more despair, and everyone seems to… live in despair."

"My kind of place, if you ask met." Said Zul talking to her "Shut up." Luz muttered to herself.

"What do you expect the Demon Realm would look like?"

"I don't know. Different that's all."

By the time they arrived at their final destination. Luz let out a light gasp. The last costumer house isn't a house at all. But a medieval castle that came straight out from a fairytale children book.

"Whoa… Is that a real castle?" Luz whispered as she and King walked up to the giant gates.

After ringing the doorbell, the gates opened. King isn't impressed "Great it's one of those houses with big whack jobs. Let's drop the package and head back." Said King but Luz didn't hear him as she walked inside "Hello?" She called out.

"Hey, where you're going? Come back!" King ran in but jumped as the gates closed. He hurried to catch up to Luz.

Both Luz and King arrived in a dark, dim room "Hello? I'm here to deliver a package for Eda the Owl Lady." Luz called out.

Suddenly the lanterns lit up. Looking up row after row of lanterns being lit. On top of the stairwell is a large portrait of an old man with a long beard, purple rode with stars, and a purple pointy hat. Wearing glasses. Just then the old wizard man appeared standing in front of the portrait of himself.

"Is that a wizard? A real wizard?"

"Just some guy walking around in his pajamas."

"He he he! Pajamas. That's a good one." Luz simply ignored them.

"Apologizes, I was in the middle of something. My… have you been suffering from a mental crisis young lady?" Said the wizard looking at Luz.

"M-Me…? Why you think that?" Luz asked nervously.

"Your eyes, they seemed troubled." He then noticed the symbol on her neck "That strange marking on your neck? It couldn't be a Cursed Mark, is it?"

Luz panicked as she covered her neck with her hand while her eyes widened "Oh, look at the time! I better get going! It's nice to meet you Mr. Wizard!" Luz dropped her package off before she and King turned around "We'll see ourselves out! Bye!"

"What if I tell you there is a chance to rid the curse you carry?" Said the wizard.

Luz stopped in her tracks as she heard what she thought she heard. Turning around to look at the old wizard "W-What did say?" Luz asked in a confused tone.

"I said what if I tell you there's a chance to rid the curse you carry?" The wizard repeatedly.

"Rid… my curse…?" Luz whispered only for Zul appeared beside her "Oh, please. This guy is full of bullshit." Said Zul annoyed.

Suddenly, she and King levitated off the ground as the wizard brought them to the table full of treats "Here, have a seat and we'll discuss your trouble. I have already snacks all setup." Said the wizard.

"I don't want any treats. But I will have the cupcakes." King climbed the table and took a cupcake.

A tea kettle hovers and poured tea in the cup Luz is holding "Oh, thanks… uh, mister…?" Luz trying to know his name.

"Call me Adegast, young lady." Said Adegast introducing himself.

"You said you know a way to get rid my… 'condition' right?"

"I do know something. An elixir that would cure all known curses." Adegast pulls out a map, showing Luz a golden cup in some forest section "With this, you'll be free of the burden you carry." He handed it to Luz as she took it.

"Nice story and all. But I think we should get going." King pulled Luz hand "C'mon Luz, don't listen to this whack job. Who want to go on a quest to find some 'elixir' that cure all known curses?"

Luz followed King as Adegast called out "Your path is waiting for you young one!" Adegast called out as they walked out of the castle.

"Don't listen to that quack. Wizards are just… bleh!" Said King.

"I agree with the mutt. An elixir to cure all known curses? Ha! What a joke." Said Zul laughing at the fact that such elixir exists.

But Luz looked at the map with her eyes full of hope. If such an elixir does exist, then it may be her only chance. A chance to be finally free from the monster inside her. To be finally rid the very thing she despise the most. She rolled up the map and put it in her back pocket. As she and King walk all the way back to the Owl House.

Once they returned, they see Eda swatting tenacles coming from the cauldron with a severed arm "Back! Get back in that cauldron!" Eda shouted only for her zapped the tenacles. It shrieks and retreats back into the cauldron.

Eda finally notices Luz and King at the doorway "Finally you two are back. What took you two so long?" Eda asked as King climbed onto the couch.

"We just ran into a wizard during the delivery." King told her.

"Ugh, wizards. They're the worst." Eda annoyed.

"And you know the funny thing is? He told Luz that there is an elixir that can cure all known curses."

"Pff, ha! Seriously?!" Eda laughs.

"But what if there is? What if this elixir does rid my Curse Mark for good? To get rid of her for good?" Luz told her with hope.

"Listen kid. If there was such an elixir that can cure all known curses, I would've known about it by now. But for we know sounds like someone trying to scam you." Eda told Luz with facts "Look I know it's not easy having a curse, I know and…"

"How do you know?! How can you truly understood how I feel?! You don't know what is like… losing control of yourself… afraid you might hurt someone. At least you had it easy! Living a comfortable, normal life. And…" Luz stopped herself as she feels her neck getting warm.

Her Curse Mark glowing slightly, she places her hand on her neck "Sorry… I-I need some space." Luz quickly went to the stairs and went up. Eda and King hear her door closed as Eda sighed sadly.

"Boy, she really has it rough." Said King.

"King… You don't know half of it." Because Eda knows deep down what it's like to have darkness inside of her.

In her room, Luz is seen grabbing some gear and stuff. She manages to find a bag to put stuff in. Lending against the wall is Zul "You're not really serious, are you?" Said Zul annoyed.

"Dead serious. If this elixir is real, then I finally found something to get rid of you for good." Said Luz not looking at her.

"Come on… You really believe there's an elixir to get rid of me? Maybe you're more dimwitted than I thought."

"It's a risk I'm willing to take."

"Yeah? More like getting yourself killed. Which is pretty much going to happen."

Luz glared at Zul with hatred "All my life, you're brought nothing but misery to my life. I keep asking myself 'How was I born with a cold-hearted monster inside me?' But it doesn't matter anymore. Once I find that elixir, I'll finally be free from you."

"Oh, please. Without me you be nothing." Zul walked up to Luz with distraught in her voice "If wasn't for me to keep us alive, you would've already been dead with Warden Shitbeak. Not to mention, without me… You'll be all alone. No one backing you up."

Luz kept her gaze on Zul as her demon-counterpart went on "Without me saving your sorry ass, you'll already be dead a long time ago. And I bet that old hag is right. You might find your only hope is nothing but a big, fat lie. And if something does happen." Zul gave an unsettling grin showing her sharp teeth "You're going to beg for my help. Whether you like it or not."

Once Zul is done Luz give her a hard glare "Without you… My Mom would still be alive."

That sentence stabbed Zul hard. Letting out a frustrated growl she turned away "Don't say I didn't warn ya. But be warn, Luz." Zul looked over her shoulder "Don't get your hopes up. Not everything that old geezer said might be true."

Zul faded back inside of Luz subconsciousness, with Luz putting her backpack on "It doesn't really matter, does it?" Luz sneaked out through the window and jumped into the tree.

She climbed down and reached the ground. Pulling out the map, her face full of determination "I'm going to find it and make you disappeared for good." Luz then walked away, hoping to find what she desperately needed.
