"Gumball!?"

"Mom!?"

Gumball almost immediately stood up in his bed the minute he heard his mother's voice. He locked eyes with her for 10 seconds. They couldn't have been any more happier to see each other.

Once those ten seconds were over, Nicole, in full speed, ran to her son and squeezed the life out of him. Gumball hugged back the second he felt her touch.

She was so worried about him, just being in her son's arms, his warm alive arms, comforted her at an instant. Hugging and crying the whole duration of their embrace, they held that way for about three minutes, before finally letting go. Their upper parts of their shirts left soaked with tears.

They stared at each other, teary eyed, before Nicole finally broke the emotional silence.

"Oh sweetheart, I'm so glad you're okay," Nicole said to her silently sobbing son, "I would never forgive myself if I lost you. I love you so much. You're my flesh and blood, my heart and soul," she continued, now firmly gripping Gumball's shoulders as her tone started to get more serious. Her voice remained shaky.

"I can't believe you would ever go and try to kill yourself. I would be broken if I lost you, my Gummypuss."

"I know," Gumball started, still crying, but his voice was no longer shaky. "I have no clue what I was thinking, I should have thought about you I'm so sorry I-"

Nicole shushed him. "You have nothing to be blamed for, baby," she said firmly.

She pulled him back into a tight, loving, emotional embrace. Gumball continued to silently cry in her neck, his tears running inside her shirt.

"It's all our fault, we shouldn't have left you at home, if you didn't want to come with us we could have stayed with you, no, then you would have just tried to hurt yourself the next time you were alone."

"Just," Gumball began, "don't read my suicide note please."

Nicole stopped, "What, why?"

"It's, um, really personal..."

"Alright sweetie, I won't," Nicole assured him, despite how much she actually wanted to read it.

Gumball shifted himself to look over his shoulder. There was his family, watching the whole scene. They were all sobbing. Darwin was the first to run up to his brother and jump straight into his warm hug. He landed with such force that made Gumball go "OOOF" but he didn't mind, he was just so happy to have his buddy, his best friend back.

Despite all Darwin had done to him, such as given up on him, Gumball could not have been happier seeing him again. It reminded him of how much they loved and needed each other. Their bond was unbreakable, and the hug the two shared, showed how horribly the two missed and worried for each other.

Soon enough, Anais joined their hug, and squeezed her big brother with all her might. But being so small, she had barely affected Gumball, but it didn't matter. She was so worried for him, she sobbed loudly into his chest whilst Darwin sobbed loudly into his shoulders.

Anais felt, no, was safe and relieved as she felt her brother squeeze her back with his right arm, barely though, since he didn't have a lot of strength. Anais couldn't bear that it was her fault Gumball was going through this. The three siblings held their bear hug for about two minutes, but it felt like forever, and they enjoyed every second of it.

They finally let go, Darwin immediately broke the silence. "I'm so sorry, bro, I can't believe you gathered yourself to do this, if I lost you, I would be fucking broken, I wouldn't be able to eat, sleep or even breathe, we've been together our whole lives, why would you do this Gumball?!" he said between sobs.

"Well, after you guys stopped talking to me, I felt like I had no purpose in life anymore, sure I had mom, but I couldn't just keep going for her sake. Everyday, I keep getting more and more hurt and I felt like a waste of time, a burden. I was just so lost in my feeling I-"

"Gumball," Anais interrupted, "we are your family. We would never want to hurt you, we love you so, so much. You could have told us how you felt, we could've helped you. Just like I said back at the junkyard with the helmet, we're nothing without you Gumball."

Gumball stared at her, wide eyed in shock. If he went through with his attempt, he could have left his family mentally scarred. He could have hurt his siblings so badly, for his own selfish reasons. He teared up again, and once more, tears went streaming down his cheeks.

"I-I'm so sorry guys, it's just, I couldn't talk to you after you gave up on me, I f-felt so alone like I-I couldn't depend on you t-to k-keep me happy anymore. I felt that you didn't love me anymore," he said.

Anais and Darwin stared at him in pure shock, covering their mouths and tears streaming down their cheeks upon hearing what he said. Gumball truly, genuinely believed that his siblings didn't love him anymore. "Gumball, no," Darwin began, "you are our top priority, we love you so much Gumball, how could you think we don't love you?"

"Well, it sure didn't seem like it," said Gumball blankly.

The two other siblings embraced their brother again. "We're so so sorry we made you feel this way Gumball, we love you so much and we regret leaving you alone, we thought that Dad had the right idea, but we were so wrong to do that, we love you bro," Darwin said.

Gumball was so happy to have heard that from his bro/BFF. He hugged them back, tears were streaming down his face, but this time, for the first time in what seemed like forever, he was crying tears of joy and happiness. Joy and happiness, because he felt loved again. Now he knew for sure that he would get better.

Gumball paused and remembered that there was one person he had reunited with, Richard. His father, the man's who it was his fault he was going through all of this. But Gumball didn't see it that way.

Sure he was well aware that his father led him to lose his siblings, but Gumball forgave him, and you could see that from the way Gumball made eye contact with his father, who was next to his mother. Richard waved at his son sheepishly.

"H-Hey son," he began. They all turned to look at him.

He continued, while walking slowly towards him, "Look son, I'm sorry, I know it's all my fault your going through this, I should have actually been a father, I should have listened to your mother, I should have been there. If I wasn't I could have lost you, my little man, and you probably hate me no-"

"Let me stop you right there dad," interrupted Gumball, "I could never be mad at you, I forgave you, After all I'm a failure and I don't deserve a father like you, I know you didn't mean any harm to me. I love you so much Dad, you're our hero.

Richard embraced his son in a tight bear hug, and started sobbing loudly. Gumball's head was pressed against his father's chest while Richard sobbed into the top of his head, "Oh son, I don't know what I would have done if I lost you, I love you very much, we all do. To the moon and back. Please don't call yourself a failure, I couldn't ask more from you."

"I know dad, I know."

The rest of the family ran to embrace Gumball in a huge group hug. They were all so relieved that they get to keep Gumball for another day. Gumball on the other hand, could never have felt more content, feeling loved by his family again.

You know, maybe they were right, Instead of just bottling up his feelings, he could have talked to them, and maybe they were being genuine. He could have earned some comfort from them. After all, he couldn't see any reason not to.

"Oh, honey I forgot," Nicole started, "your girlfriend's here Gumball, she's really sorry for what she did and is as anxious to see you as you are, she'll be visiting any moment."

Gumball was stunned, he knew Penny was here but he was still very nervous about seeing her again. "Y-Yeah, I know," Gumball replied, "When will she be here?"

"Oh, she's at the gift shop, she'll be up here any moment now, in a jiffy, because you know she was so worried about you," answered Nicole.

"Okay..."

Just then the door slammed open, making all of the Wattersons jump in surprise.

"WHERE IS HE!?"

There, standing at the door was a glowing yellow fairy girl, with rivers of tears pouring out of her eyes. She had been downstairs in the gift shop because she needed time to prepare to see Gumball, and to buy gifts for him of course. She was holding a giant white bag with red ribbons, you could see the ears of a creme-colored teddy bear sticking out the top of the bag.

Upon her entrance, the Wattersons backed away from the bed. Making way for the two, long-separated lovers to make eye contact. For a second, no one moved. Then, Penny let out a small sob, and ran to the bed, jumped on it, and started to sob into Gumball's chest.
