a bit mixed on including this in chapter 12 or not since I didn't want to over do it with Cadmus POV's, and this might not add much. Plus this was mostly written was I was under going a transfusion, so not my best work. But I like giving you guys stuff, so I figured "hey, why not". So this will likely be a semi-canon omake.

Amanda Waller sat in her personal office in Cadmus Headquarters, her eyes glued to the bank of monitors with various reports within.

It had been a hectic while ever since the announcement of the death of Lex Luthor and the reveal that Brainiac had been using him as a puppet.

Within the past hour, she had to assure dozens of concerned politicians and businessmen within Project Cadmus that their every effort would be spent towards fixing this problem. Of course, some weren't convinced or couldn't care less about the potential ramifications of a man with the power, resources, and influence of Lex Luthor being influenced by a killer alien robot and wanting things to go on as planned.

While there were few reasonable men such as Maxwell Lord who simply promised more funding towards the Ultimen project as well as efforts to further research in nanotechnology. Which was very much welcome to make up for the loss of the metahumans from Lynch's watch.

Unfortunately, men like Lord were rather few in this business.

Agent DeMarco, a seasoned and reliable figure in Cadmus, approached Waller, a somber expression etched across his face.

DeMarco reported in a hushed tone, "Director Waller, we've got an update on the Ivo extraction mission."

"Well? Report it then."

"Ma'am, I believe that it would be best that you see it for yourself."

Waller arched an eyebrow but rose from her chair nonetheless. She needed a brief respite from the relentless bureaucratic struggle she'd been entangled in and slogging through, and this agent was one of her best. Whatever DeMarco felt she had to see in person had to be important.

As such, she followed him as he escorted her to the mission command center within Cadmus HQ. Upon entering, her steely eyes locked onto a wall of monitors displaying the unfolding mission. The room hummed with activity, a symphony of agents at their posts, analyzing data streams and video feeds for other operations.

Amanda leaned forward, her fingers poised over the console. She was eager for news, but what she saw left her stunned.

On the main monitor, the video footage showed a cadre of Cadmus black ops agents, their movements coordinated and precise, closing in on a mansion located in the woods. Rain pelted the ground, adding to the ominous atmosphere.

Agent Jones, leader of the squad, conveyed over the radio, "Team Alpha in position. Preparing to breach."

Things seemed to be going well so far; the team had just breached the entrance of the estate and were fanning out to locate the target. While they hadn't secured the entire perimeter such as the outside as well as the inside, they were on an urgent mission and Ivo's dossier had mentioned that the man was a recluse, having been rarely seen outside of his home or LexCorp. So she excused the breach in standard protocol.

Once they discovered that there was no sign of the Professor on the first floor, they proceeded to move towards the next floor, trawling on the stairs.

Upon reaching the top, however, revealed a massive 10-foot-tall android. Its metallic form gleamed ominously, and its glowing red eyes bore into them ominously.

The Android bellowed out, "What are ya doing in MAH SWAMP?!"

Before the agents could react, chaos erupted. Shots were fired, but they seemed futile against the android's seemingly impenetrable armor. The video abruptly tilted and jolted, as if the camera had been knocked from its perch.

A series of crashing noises followed, and the camera settled on a surreal scene: the black ops agents lay in a disheveled pile at the bottom of a staircase, their limbs appearing limp and battered. The last sound that could be heard was that of a door being sent flying off of its hinges before the feed was abruptly cut off.

Amanda Waller's eyes widened in disbelief. Her experienced agents, renowned for their expertise and professionalism, had completely lost their composure before falling victim to a flight of stairs of all things.

Waller stared dumbfounded by the recorded event, now understanding why DeMarco had her see this with her own eyes, "How…how is this possible?"

…granted, their armor wasn't made to withstand such blunt force. But it was made with the assumption that such a thing wouldn't be needed for the caliber of soldiers who would be using it either.

Before she could dwell any further on the startling turn of events, Professor Hamilton, burst into the control room, his face etched with a panicked urgency.

Hamilton was breathless as he rushed to report, "Director Waller, there's a development with Galatea! Her tracking chip has been destroyed, and the last reported location matches the coordinates of Ivo's home!"

A chill ran down Amanda's spine as the pieces of the puzzle began to fall into place. The android that had just thwarted her black ops team was none other than the one responsible for revealing Cadmus's existence to the Justice League, as its appearance was a perfect match to the description Lynch gave her. And going by Hamilton's words, had potentially just taken out their most powerful metahumans human behind Doomsday. Or perhaps had injured her enough to damage the chip? Or, possibly, not damaged by injury but by technology. For what reason would that android be at Ivo's home if he were not the machine's creator?

And with said creator being potentially compromised by Brainiac through its possession of Luthor… perhaps that android exposing Cadmus was one of his plots?

The tension in the room thickened, and Amanda Waller knew that the stakes had just been raised to a level she hadn't anticipated.

She found herself missing when her biggest headache was just dealing with Cadmus' backers.

"Director!"

The sudden exclamation in the room jolted Amanda Waller from her thoughts. She swiftly comprehended the reason behind the commotion.

A single body camera belonging to one of the agents had mysteriously turned back on, displaying a peculiar message on the screen.

Bill

Amanda Waller furrowed her brow, perplexed by this sudden turn of events. The message continued to unfold before her eyes, listing bizarre charges like a ledger of absurdities.

Doors: $5000

Trespassing on private property: $7000 per agent

Stairs: $9001 – while the stairs may be content with claiming human souls for payment, I still need something tangible to pay for the repairs.

A hushed silence filled the control room as everyone present exchanged bewildered glances. It was as if the android that had thwarted the mission had a peculiar sense of humor, or perhaps an unorthodox way of making a statement.

Amanda Waller's mind raced to decipher the message. Was it a warning, a taunt, or something else entirely? It couldn't actually be just the android billing them for their intrusion, not only were black ops agents given free reign for collaterial damage should it be necessary, that android didn't even have the right to press charges for property it didn't even legally own.

One thing was abundantly clear: the android they were dealing with was far more troublesome than she had ever anticipated.

"Um, Master Bruce," Alfred's voice quivered with concern as he was now speaking with Batman, who was in the middle of a patrol in Gotham City, currently delivering justice (and crippling medical debt) to the criminals of the city. "A situation has just occurred. It pertains to the reason you've regressed from finally getting 5 hours of sleep back to 3 hours."

"What happened with Amazo now?" Batman demanded.

"Apparently," Alfred hesitated, carefully choosing his words, "armed government agents, likely belonging to Cadmus, had just intruded into his abode. They made contact with Amazo and they…"

"They what, Alfred?" Batman asked, his voice tense, his patience already thinning with the android.

"You aren't going to like it, just warning you now, sir."

"Noted. Now what happened."

Alfred took a deep breath before delivering the shocking news

"Master Bruce? Are you still there?"

The only sound still audible was the sound of angry grunting before a loud screech of tires. The sound then went out as Batman abruptly ended the call.

"Oh boy, it sure is nice to finally be able to relax in my home for once," Amazo sighed with relief, sinking into his plush Lazyboy couch. Now that the paramedics, and the Cadmus goons trailing them, had been gone, he was finally able to return to his leisurely time.

Then, because the concept of being welcomed into one's home was such a foreign one these days, the Batmobile, a relentless force of vehicular justice, crashed through his once-impeccable (shoddy attempts at) carpentry work, splintering the solid oak tree he had just replaced.

"I just fixed those doors! Come on!" Amazo exclaimed in exasperation, gazing at the wreckage in disbelief.

"The stairs' payload is exposed. I can use the power winch to trigger a controlled explosion." Batman stated, sounding like something broke in him other than the usual bundles of bones.

Amazo, bewildered and frustrated, couldn't fathom what Batman meant. "What payload are you talking about?! This ain't Overwatch damnit!"

"Bats, what are you doing? Bats. Staph."

But Batman remained resolute, paying no heed to Amazo's pleas. With a swift and calculated motion, he activated the Batmobile's power winch, and the mechanical whirr that followed was a symphony of impending destruction,

*BOOM*

"The stairs will kill no longer!"

"...You are so getting billed for that."
