Sakura stared at the other students who were living their lives, she could feel the worms inside her moving inside of her, she tried to ignore them but the itch became unbearable, so she was forced to eat a candy.
The candies were made of pure energy, or at least that was what Mark told her when he gave them to her after he defeated her Adopted Grandfather in their duel.
Because Mark made her grandfather sign a contract that bound the two of them to follow certain rules and had a member of the church present to act as a witness.
Her grandfather wasn't able to ignore any of the conditions that he had agreed to before his fight with Mark.
The rules were simple, if Mark won, then her grandfather would give her to Mark and he would lose control of the worms that were inside of her already.
This meant that if her grandfather had any way of controlling her, using her body to listen- see, or do anything he would be forced to abandon it.
Sakura can still feel her grandfather glaring at her from time to time, but she gets him to calm down by giving him some of the books that Mark keeps in his library.
Unfortunately, she still has to spend time in the basement or the pit because she still has to inherit her grandfather's Magic Crest, but at least she isn't being forced to do it anymore.
"Sakura, eartyh to Sakura."
"Hey, wake up or I'm going to kiss you." Sakura heard someone say to her and when she turned she found that Kazuma was standing next to her.
She stared at him for a long moment and she took another moment to look at the clothes that he was wearing.
"Why are you wearing the school uniform?" she asks Kazuma who smirks at her.
"It's nice to see you too and something happened so I'm going to start coming here from now on, but I'm a year behind you." Kazuma says to her before a mischievous smirk appears on his face.
"Sempai, Sakura Semapai, or maybe Matou Sempai." Kazuma says to her and Sakura can't help but feel herself becoming embarrassed by Kazuma's words.
She doesn't know why but she quickly stands up and starts hitting Kazuma on the head with her fists, she knows that she isn't strong enough to hurt him because she can hear him laughing.
Still, she tries to make him stop teasing her, she starts to chase Kazuma as he tries to flee from her and after a minute of them playing she stops chasing after him when he stops running away.
"Feeling better?"Kazuma asks her and she nods at him.
When I saw you, you looked sad and lost in your head."
"Take it from me that only leads to trouble." Kazuma says to her as the bell rings and signals to them that it's time for them to go back to class.
"So are you going to study here from now on or is this a part of something that Mark is making you do?" she asks Kazuma as they walk back into the building.
"No I'll be studying here from now on, so please treat me well.'Kazuma says to her before he opens the door and waits for her to walk inside before following after her.
As they walked down the hall Sakura ignored the looks that the other students gave her when they noticed that Kazyuma was walking next to her.
"So Mark said that you would show me around so that I could meet whoever I had to meet." Kazumsays to her before he stops walking.
Sakura looks at Kazuma and after a moment Kazuma points at the door next to him.
"This is my classroom." he says to her before they stare at each other some more and then begin to laugh.
This was so awkward, neither of them knew how to act around the other and yet it felt so natural.
"After School, we have to go to the church that's near here. You need to meet with someone there."
"After that, I have to take you to meet someone who can explain a few things to you.' She tried to tell him about the places that they had to visit, but she stopped when she noticed that several people were listening to their conversation.
She was about to tell Kazuma that she would explain everything after school when Kazuma raised a hand and silently told her to stop talking.
"Yeah, do you know her?" Kzuma asked her as he pointed at someone behind her.
As Sakura turned around she couldn't help but feel a pain in her chest, Rin her sister was hiding behind a wall glaring daggers at Kazuma.
"No," she lied to Kazuma before excusing herself a walking away from him.
Rin was once her sister, but that ended when their parents gave her to the Matous and kept Rin to inherit their family crest.
As Sakura walked past Rin the two of them met eyes for the first time in years, while they had seen each other from time to time, the rules were clear.
Neither of them could interact with one another in any meaningful way until they were both adults.
The rest of the day passed as if nothing had changed, the teacher taught them a few new things and repeated a lot of things that they had learned both in grade school and middle school.
It was another peaceful day.
When the bell rang Sakura waited for everyone to leave the room before she exited the room and began to search for Kazuma who might still be waiting for her or could have already left.
Sakura couldn't help but close her eyes and listen to the voices of the students as they were practicing or doing whatever activities that their clubs had them do.
As she walked closer to Kazuma's classroom she began to hear the sounds of things being thrown around before the sound of something hitting the floor loudly reached her.
"I'll kill you!" she heard Rin scream, before what sounded like someone being slapped followed.
Sakura ran into the room and she was forced to blink twice, just to make sure that what she was looking at wasn't seeing an illusion.
Kazuma was sitting on Rin's back and spanking her while Rin who was tied by a wire, lay helpless beneath him.
"Apologies for trying to kill me." Kazuma ordered her sister
"Never, I'll curse you when I get free!" Rin yelled at him.
"Wrong answer." Kazuma said to Rin before he spanked her again.
Sakura had to stop herself from laughing because of how this situation could have never happened before and yet here she was looking at her sister being humiliated.
