[Royal Woods - twelve sixteen Franklin Ave]
As Lincoln and his new friends were making their way to Santalune City, the Loud sisters back in Royal woods were living their lives the best they could without their brother. To many of the Loud sisters, this was a blessing as without Lincoln that meant one last person to compete over the bathroom, no more having to see him walk around in his underwear, more dessert, etc.
In fact, the Loud sisters were getting ready for school as it was a school day and they couldn't miss school even though they were grounded, although they had to go straight home as soon as school was over.
"Okay, is everyone ready."said Lori, before a bucket of water fell on her head."Ahhh!"
It didn't take long for Lori to figure out who the culprit was as a certain comedian of a sister was her giggling.
"Luan!"shouted Lori with anger, realizing it was her comedic younger sister who was the culprit.
"Sorry, but with Lincoln gone I couldn't waste the opportunity."said Luan, before she noticed the angry expression on her older sister."Oh oh!"
That is when Luan and Lori began running through the second floor hallway with Luan running for dear life as Lori had every intention to turn her into a human pretzel. Luan realized in that moment that she messed up badly, but you needed to blow off the steam so she figured a bit of a beating here and there would be totally worth it.
"Enough!"shouted Lisa, getting her older sister to stop running.
"We have to get the school and I'll be Einstein's dumb assistant if I let you guys get us even more grounded! Luan, apologize to oldest female sibling unit or I'll use you as one of my experiments again."said Lisa, who's tone indicated she was not kidding.
Luan swallowed a large lump down her throat as she realized that Lisa was telling the truth, and remembering the last time she was one of her guinea pig she decided to apologize then and there in order to spare herself from her genius little sister's wrath.
"I'm sorry, I just couldn't help myself."said Luan, quickly apologizing to Lori in order to save herself.
"As long as you don't ever do it again."said Lori, who felt like that shouldn't have happened as Luan should know better as Mom and Dad were already pissed off with them.
And last thing they needed was for Luan to do something stupid, resulting in them getting even more grounded.
"I'm going to need one of those apologies dude."said Luna, before she came out of her bedroom wearing kiss makeup.
"Hehehehehe... call it giving in to temptation last night."said Luan, before she got punched across the cheek by Luna."Ow! Okay, I deserve that."
"Now let's just head downstairs, eat some eggs, and get ready for school as it's the only time of the day where we're actually free from being grounded."said Lynn, before she fell down as it was revealed that her shoelaces were tied.
"Grrrrr!"growled Lynn, angry as Luan hasn't seemed to have learned her lesson.
"I swear that was not me."said Luan."How could I have even have done that?"
"It was me."said Lily, appearing around everyone and surprising them, as she appeared seemingly out of nowhere.
"Why?"questions Lynn, wondering why Lily did that to her.
"No the reason."said the youngest loud sister, before she began crawling down the stairs to meet up with her parents.
"Why do you think Lily did that?"questions Lola, wondering why Lily of all people pulled a prank on Lynn.
"I think she's upset cuz she misses Lincoln. We all know she's extremely close to him."said Lana, who figured that Lily was getting back at her sister's for driving Lincoln away.
"But why didn't she go after Lori and Leni?"questions Lucy, appearing where Lily stood, causing the rest of her sisters to freak out as they jump back a bit and clenched their chest as they felt like their hearts were going to pop out.
"Lucy, you really need to stop doing that!"shouted Lori, but Lucy just ignored her as she walked down the stairs.
"What's wrong with her?"inquired Leni, worried about her spooky little sister.
"I think she misses Lincoln. I don't know why as the house is a whole lot better without him. Stupid meddler getting in our business and causing us to get grounded."said Lynn, who was still upset that Lincoln medaled in their 'Sister Fight Protocol.'
"Please, the last thing I want to hear is that stupid protocol. The rents are already peeved as is, and any mention of Lincoln in a bad way to get us in more trouble, dude."said Luna, who knew that they were already in trouble, and talking bad about Lincoln now could probably get them in more trouble.
"Our musical sister is correct. It is counterproductive to insult Lincoln of this moment even though I do agree with your statement. For now, it is best that we be on our best behavior. Mother and Father have already taken away some of our most valuable possessions in order to recoup their losses, and as of Saturday us younger siblings have to elaborate a lemonade stand. So the best we can do is stay on our best behavior and not cause any more trouble from our parental units, hopefully that will convince them to go easy on us in the following weeks."said Lisa, confusing many of her siblings.
"Huh?"said Leni, as Lisa used too many big words.
Lisa rolled her eyes before she decided to dumb it down."If we are on our best behavior that Mom and Dad may just let us go with a slap on the wrist."
"Ooohhhhh!"said a majority of the Loud sisters.
"But why would Mom and Dad slap us on the wrist?"questions Leni, causing many of her sisters to facepalm.
"No Leni, I think she means that if we behave Mom and Dad will lessen our grounding."said Luan, once again explaining to Leni what someone else meant.
"Ohh! Got ya!"said Leni, who finally understood.
"Good, now let's head downstairs."said Lori, before she and the remaining loud sisters upstairs began making their way downstairs so they can have some breakfast.
"Do you guys honestly think that Lincoln is out of the country?"questions Leni.
"Of of course not as I activated his locator chip last night."said Lisa, who began recalling what she did last night.
[Flashback]
Lisa was using one of the few devices that hadn't been confiscated in order to connect to the tracking device that was in her brother's body.
While she was still certain that he hadn't left the city, there was no harm in checking the tracker just to be absolutely sure...that and providing proof with her findings regarding said tracker would shut Lucy up about that asinine idea of Lincoln leaving for Europe.
No, she wasn't bothered by the fact that Lincoln may actually have left for Europe and may have no intention of coming back. She didn't care as how would have affected her in the long run...
'Shouldn't be too hard to prove that ignoramus wrong. All I need to do is link up to the tracking device implanted into Lincoln's body and I can easily pinpoint his location.' thought Lisa to herself, as she tinkered with the device in her hands, eventually getting a hit on the tracker's signal.
Upon seeing that the signal was coming from the McBride household, she smirks and sets the device aside and raises a fist into the air
Knew it."said Lisa with a hint of arrogance in her voice. "And now that I know for certain that he's still in Royal Woods, maybe now Lucy and the others will finally put those foolish ideas of him being out of the country to rest...as well as apologize for doubting my intellect. I'll inform the others of my findings first thing tomorrow morning."
With that done, the four-year-old starts getting ready for bed, not realizing that the tracking device in Lincoln's body, now malfunctioning thanks to Lincoln getting caught up in Clemont's explosion earlier, Nor did she know it was because of this that the tracking device was sending false 'positives' instead of functioning correctly.
[Flashback End]
"I can say with one hundred percent certainly that Lincoln is in the McBride household. We should see him at school today and that will prove once and for all that he did not leave for Europe or wherever he said he was going."said Lisa, feeling confident in her decision despite not knowing that for the first time in a very long time, she was dead wrong.
"Well that makes me feel better as I don't know what I would have done if Lincy actually left us behind."said Leni, who despite being mad at her brother still cared about him.
"Whatever, dude. Let's just get through breakfast and go to school. That is the only freedom we have all day and I'm going to enjoy every minute of it."said Luna, who was going to enjoy the fact that she was going to meet a 'certain person' she has been interested in for a long time.
And hopefully talking to that certain person will make her feel a lot better.
"Well, let's get going."said Lori, before she and the others made their way to the dining table where they saw that their father had just prepared simple eggs.
Not one of the famous dishes he is known for, just plain scrambled eggs.
"Not cool, Rockstar."said Luna, who noticed that her little sister Lily was getting one of their dad's famous breakfast burritos.
"She it's the only one not in trouble, so she's the only one who gets a burrito."said Lynn Sr, before he handed Lily another burrito.
"Ah, come on."said Lynn, feeling like that wasn't fair.
"Then you guys shouldn't have thrown a party celebrating Lincoln's departure."said Lynn, before he turned away and headed back to the kitchen.
"I guess we do deserve that."said Lucy, shocking her siblings.
"What's with you?"questions Lola.
"Yeah, you've been even more of a downer ever since Lincoln left."added Lana.
"If you saw how he looked at me, then you would understand. Lincoln was angry, and I've never seen him that angry before. I don't know what he's doing right now, all I know is that things are never going to be the same."said Lucy, before she took a bite of her eggs.
This made the rest of the loud sisters look at each other with concern. Despite everything they knew that Lucy didn't have a thick skin like Lincoln did. She was more sensitive than she would like to have admitted, so they were honestly worried as they didn't want Lucy to hurt herself or anything.
"I'm sure we'll see him at school and then we'll 'talk' some sense into him."said Lola, trying to make Lucy feel better.
"And what if he's not at school? What if you really left for somewhere in Europe doing who knows what?"questions Lucy, wondering if anyone has really thought about the fact if Lincoln was telling the truth.
"... I'm sure he was just blowing hot air. We all know Lincoln can be dramatic at times, but at the end of the day he'll always forgive us for our mistakes as we're family, and family forgives each other."said Lori, although she didn't sound confident with her statement.
"I hope you're right."said Lucy, before she finished her breakfast and excused herself from the table.
"Wow, I've never seen Lucy like that."said Leni, who quickly deduced that Lincoln leaving had a greater impact on her than she would have believed.
"Once Lincoln finally comes down and admits we're right, everything will go back to normal and Lucy will feel like herself again."said Lynn with confidence.
"Well I'm not looking forward to helping Mr Grouse clean his house. Dad said Leni and I have to leave that house spotless if we hope to get paid...Ah, I can't believe our parents are making us work in order to recoup some of their losses."said Lori, revealing that she and her roommate had to help out their mean next door neighbor in order to get some money to give to Mom and Dad.
"Hey, at least you don't have to mow a lot of lawns on Saturday."said Lynn, we're feeling that she had to mow lawns in order to make money for Mom and Dad.
"I after entertain at Something canyon...Pop-Pop's idea."said Luna, revealing that she had to be entertainment for some of the not so nice senior citizens at the retirement home.
"Ah, I really hope mommy and daddy calm down and lift our punishment. I don't know how much more of this I can take."said Lola, once again being a drama queen.
"All you guys have to do is operate a lemonade stand."said Luan, wondering why Lola was complaining.
"Yeah, but I can't use any of my surefire methods of getting money."said Lola, before revealing that mom and dad ordered her not to be mean to customers or force them to order lemonade.
This made Luan and Lola growl at one another, before Lori separated them.
"Let's just go to school before one of us does something will regret."said Lori, who did not want another fight cloud in the house as it would be needless destruction and more grounding for everyone.
"Fine..."said the Loud sisters, before they finish their breakfast and headed towards Vanzilla so that they could go to school.
Lucy on the other hand was waiting in her usual seat, before her pet bat Fangs perched on her shoulder.
"Oh Fangs, I wonder how Lincoln is doing."said Lucy, who was hoping to see Lincoln at school that way she could talk to him.
But her gut was telling her that that wasn't the case and that Lincoln was somewhere in Europe helping an old friend of her grandfather's. She could only wonder if he was thinking about them at that very moment.
Lincoln on the other hand was standing in front of a young woman holding a camera. Treecko did not look like he was in the best condition as he took a knee.
"Man, this is harder than I thought."said Lincoln, revealing that he was currently focused on his first ever gym battle.
[As Lincoln journeys through the Kalos region with Clemont and Bonnie, things back home are tense as the Loud sisters try to figure out a way to get out of their punishment. But it seems there is animosity between them, especially when it comes to Lily and Lucy. Will Lily forgive her siblings for pushing Lincoln away?
