What makes someone a person?
What shapes a person's personality are their life experiences, that is, their memories. Someone is who they are because of the memories they have. Hypothetically, what would happen if two people had the same set of memories? Can they be considered the same person? Or maybe one is the original and the other is the clone? How would the clone accept the fact that he is not who he thinks he is? Because from their point of view, their memories are valid and part of them.
Kagami thought about this when once again he was hit by Spati's memories that came fast and strong that even after all this time did not ask for strength.
And with each passing day, he had a new set of memories. A normal person would have gone crazy with the extra set of memories, unable to differentiate between who they are and the reality of their situation.
Kagami was not a normal person, he was trained from a young age to resist and did not allow his memories to be replaced by the memory of another person, alien or not.
However, that doesn't mean he wasn't affected by the additional knowledge he possessed. Memories are what make people who they are, and therefore, as he used the Touka Konkan no jutsu (equivalent exchange) to get information from a Turian officer, it is normal for him to take pieces of his personality with him. This was one of the reasons this was a forbidden Jutsu. Since a new set of memories could confuse the user to the point of an identity crisis.
The only reason Kagami is still here today is the fact that he was rigorously trained and stuck to his goal of saving the people in Shanxi Colony no matter what.
And the fact that he had made a friend in this situation had complicated everything because of the memories but Kagami remained true to himself.
ChoMuryō saw her cousin lost in thought and knew it would be more painful for him if she tried to help as it would provoke a struggle between his memories which would only cause more pain for Kagami. It took a long 20 minutes for Kagami's memories to reorganize.
"I'm sorry ChoMuryō, although I control it better, sometimes I get hit too hard and I'm unable to do anything. But now I'm back and I'd like to know how the investigations are going into the attack that occurred at Subarashī o miyage in an attempt to Murder the Volus Venta ambassador."
Seeing that his cousin looked better ChoMuryō decided to continue with the argument they were having.
"She is doing very well and we have already managed to identify everyone involved in the assassination attempt but not the masterminds yet and I have worse news. We also discovered that this group was not alone and several other groups with similar intentions have been identified."
"That means it wasn't an isolated case." Sighing in frustration, Kagami rested his head on his hands looking dejected at his cousin. "I was hoping that all this wouldn't get worse, but it seems like we have no choice. Tell me how Grandpa's experiments with other species are going I heard he managed to find a good way to get specimens for his research from omega station."
"Yes that place is perfect, there are no laws and it is almost completely controlled by mercenaries so the Citadel authorities don't interfere in our affairs," ChoMuryō remembered his grandfather being excited to discover more about the bodies of the xenos and as all the specimens were wanted criminals no one would care if they disappeared.
His grandfather had said that despite being able to examine many species in the Subarashī miyage, the Kages' plan was not infallible since all the exams were superficial even though with them Orochimaru discovered that only humans could use Chakra. Now with the Omega criminals it was different, his grandfather could do all kinds of tests without worrying about damaging his experiments too much.
"Knowing Kagami, Grandpa told me that he has a new treatment for Desolas that will help him recover faster without any risks."
"Seriously, this news is wonderful ChoMuryō!" He had become excited as his worry for his friend sometimes consumed him.
"Yes, Grandpa said he did tests on Trurian mercenaries and the treatment seems promising," ChoMuryō replied. "He also told me that if everything goes well, Desolas will wake up soon."

Location unknown. -Desolas
I opened my eyes and felt a searing pain in my head. I was in a white room, full of tubes and wires that monitored my vital signs.
I couldn't move as I was tied to a hospital bed. I didn't remember anything, not who I was, not where I was. I only knew that my name was Desolas.
I saw a man sitting in a corner of the room, reading a magazine. He had long black hair, dark skin, and golden eyes, and wore a blue military uniform.
He realized I was awake and looked up. He looked at me with an expression of happiness, relief, and excitement. He got up and ran towards my bed.
"Desolas, you're awake!" He exclaimed. "I was so worried about you. How are you feeling?" He asked.
But I didn't recognize him.
"Who are you?" I asked.
He turned away from me, looking hurt by my question.
"I'm Kagami." He said, with an expression of pain and sadness. "I am your friend."
"My friend?" I repeated, confused. "How do you know me?"
He seemed to not know what to say.
"Well, it's a long story. But you don't need to worry about that right now. You just need to know that your name is Desolas and you are a Turian."
"A Turian?" I asked. "I don't... I don't remember anything." I murmured.
"It doesn't matter, Desolas," Kagami said, forcing a smile. "What matters is that you're alive. And I'm here to take care of you."
"Why?" I asked. "Why do you care about me?"
"Because you are my friend." He said. "And I never abandon my friends."
"Are you... are you my friend? "- I asked.
"Yes, Desolas. I am your friend. You can trust me, Desolas. I am here to help you." he said.
Hearing this I felt a glimmer of hope. Maybe he was my friend, maybe I wasn't alone.
Maybe I could trust him.

It had been a month since I woke up and I had learned a lot from Kagami.
One of them was that I was a Turian general and that my species had been involved in a conflict with humanity, Kagami's species. I also discovered that I was one of the causes that the first contact war didn't last as long because I decided to surrender so as not to cause any more unnecessary deaths.
And it was because of this action that I ended up in a coma. On the way to the prison camp, my transport was attacked and blown up by rebels who did not accept peace. I survived only because of Kagami who at the last minute managed to save me, but I was still seriously injured. But no one knew I was alive, only the human leaders, the Kages, who allowed me to be taken to the secret base that had been collecting information about the Turians since the start of the war.
I still didn't remember much, but I knew it was only a matter of time before I did.
