It was Hermione's idea.
He was sitting in the Hog's Head, Hogsmeade's unfrequented inn, located at the back of the Three Broomsticks, surrounded by a bunch of Hogwarts students all here for him.
If Umbridge wasn't gonna teach them Defense Against the Dark Arts, he was. That was Hermione's reasoning.
Harry was skeptic at first.
"Why me?"
"Because you faced Voldemort like… how many times now?" She turned to Draco.
"Three times." Draco, neutrally, said.
"I was lucky."
Hermione went on about how he was the only one to resist the Imperius Curse last year, and to produce a Patronus, and stuff…
"I think you would make a great teacher." Draco said, smiling wide at him. What a beautiful smile… Harry thought as he slightly blushed.
"Okay," he reluctantly agreed.
"Okay, welcome everyone!" Hermione's voice, in the present day in the Hog's Head snapped him out of his Draco-related daydreaming.
Harry looked around him, there were a lot of Gryffindors, including the Weasleys and Neville, a few Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs, surprisingly Michael Corner was there too, and no Slytherins except for him and Draco.
Still, he did not expect this many people to show up.
"… if you have any questions, we'd be very happy to answer them!" Hermione finished speaking, and sat in the chair next to him. The moment she finished, a dozen hands were up in the air.
Most of the questions were about the night at the graveyard.
"Can we have a question about the subject of the meeting?" Harry asked annoyed, before taking another question: "you."
"Why is he here?" Dean Thomas, who was sitting right next to Ron, asked. He was obviously referring to Draco.
"Yeah," Lavender Brown agreed, "isn't his father like a Death Eater or something?"
Some agreeing murmuring in the crowd.
"That's none of-" Harry was about to shut them down, when Draco's voice stopped him.
"That's a valid question." Draco calmly agreed, which seemed to have surprised some of the potential members. Harry turned around to him. "I'm not my father, though."
"Yeah," Ron, surprisingly, came to Draco's defense, "he's cool."
Harry sensed Draco getting uncomfortable. It's not something anyone would notice, but he's Harry, and that's Draco.
"Are there more questions?" Hermione changed the subject. "Relevant questions…" She added, and half the hands raised dropped.
"Hey," Harry turned to Draco, quietly.
"Hey."
"All good?" He asked, checking in on him.
"Yeah, yeah." Draco said unconvincingly.
