Part XLII: Never Have I Ever Ladies

"You want to play that?" Iris asked surprised at Dawn's suggestion though she didn't sound horrified by the idea. "Are you sure?"

Iris had been the first to recover from the sudden surprise suggestion from Dawn. She didn't know Ash's first female companion well, they'd met once before and not spoken much, so she didn't notice the mischievous glint in Dawn's eye. All she knew of Dawn was that she was a water type specialist, a gym leader in Kanto and clearly in love with Ash. That was obvious from the fact Dawn hadn't been thrilled that Iris had told Ash he had a crush on Misty. Iris was just speaking the truth and Ash was being a kid about it, she didn't understand why no one else did so.

"Yeah couldn't we play something else?" May asked sounding a little worried. "I don't mind this but there are a few things I may not be comfortable sharing, no offense."

"Well we could play truth or dare." Dawn said with a wide grin. "That is just as wild and I have an active imagination."

"No!" Misty exclaimed surprising everyone by how loud and forceful she was. "Sorry I don't trust Dawn in that game. I, don't trust her in this game but I'll take it over truth or dare and I'll be truthful."

"Just because of our history, don't worry I wouldn't be that bad." Dawn said though Misty didn't trust her on that. "But good to hear you're down. Iris, Zoey, Georgia? What about you?"

"Yeah I'm down, got nothing to hide from any of you." Georgia said with a shrug. "It's a good idea, other than Zoey and the wannabe dragon master I barely know y'all so it is a good way to get to know May, Dawn and Misty."

"So long as we promise to keep this just between us I'm in." Zoey said seriously before looking at Misty while Iris growled at Georgia. "Including Ash, Misty."

"I promise I won't tell Ash anything." Misty said raising her hand. "Girl code ladies, if we play this we swear by it. Nothing to anyone about what is said here. Agree to this and I won't object to anything."

"Fine with me." Dawn said simply. "Misty can vouch for my silence on things so I swear to keep silent."

"I swear." Zoey said while Misty glared at Dawn. "I won't tell anyone what is said here."

"Not like there's anyone for me to tell anyway." Georgia said nonchalantly. "I'm alone most of the time or beating up dragon trainers and their Pokémon so I swear."

"Yeah, I can agree to this." May said finally a little hesitantly as there was one thing that she knew someone would say because of two people present and she would have to lie about it if it came down to it. "It would be nice to get to know Iris and Georgia a little more, you are both friends of Ash, Iris even traveled with him, so we should be friends as well. I swear Misty."

"It's childish but why not I swear as well." Iris said as the last holdout with an exaggerated shrug. "How does this work Dawn?"

"Basically one of us says something that we have never done and those who have done it clap loud enough for the rest to hear." Dawn explained. "And we all have a right to further question someone for more information on why they clapped but anyone can claim discomfort if it is too personal or intimate to share and we must respect that. Agreed?"

The other girls nodded as Dawn met Misty's eyes with that last part and Misty knew what Dawn was going to ask, she just didn't know when. Misty would admit to it just to piss Dawn off and get one up in their little war but she wouldn't say more that the surface level stuff though. She would give them no details and was glad that Dawn had decided to respect privacy and not allow pressing for details.

"Ok well Dawn as it was your idea how about you start and help show us how this is done." May said looking at her friend, she too was glad that they could refuse to give details. "Then we go left with Iris next so I am last, makes the most sense and gives me time to think of something."

"Sure, does everyone agree?" Dawn asked and they all nodded. "Alright I will keep it simple to show how its done. Never have I ever been to Unova."

Misty, Zoey, Iris and Georgia all clapped right away. This surprised no one as two were from the region, Zoey was currently traveling in it, and Misty's visit was well known given its connection to how she and Ash ended up together. It was a simple question to set up the game and ease them into it with no need for a follow up so it was Iris's turn.

"Hmm." Iris said thinking as she put a finger on her chin and decided to keep it simple as well. "Never have I ever won a Contest."

Zoey, Misty and May all clapped at this as was expected given that all 3 had competed in at least one Grand Festival meaning they'd won at least 5 Contests with May having the most at 20. They were starting out tame to get comfortable with the game and with Georgia next it was likely to continue like that.

"Never have I ever had a dragon type." Georgia said simply to which Iris clapped as expected followed by May.

"You have a dragon type?" Iris gushed looking at May her eyes wide and hopeful as the first follow up question was asked. "Which one?"

"Tyrunt." May said with a smile. "I was actually going to ask you about dragon types this week for some help raising it."

"Of course I'll help, especially because I've never heard of one." Iris said her eyes brimming with joy at the idea of meeting a new dragon type, Axew mimicking her from her hair. "Where did you get it? What can you tell me about it? I want to know everything."

"It's a Pokémon that was native to Kalos millennia ago." May said surprising Iris and preempting her next question with her explanation. "As for how I got one, it was an egg given to me by one of the extinct Pokémon scientists in Kalos. One of the first known apparently. It hatched into a Tyrunt which is a rock and dragon type."

"Really, that is an interesting combination." Iris said, she'd never heard of that combo. "And how you got it."

"It's unique from what I know." May said. "But we can talk more later, we do have a game to get back to."

"Oh yeah sorry, just heard dragon type and had to know more." Iris said with a slight blush. "Zoey, it's your go."

"Alright seeing as this is never have I ever, I think it's time to up the stakes after a few nice questions to start." Zoey said deciding it was time to kick it into high gear as it was clear that this was what Dawn wanted to from the game. "Never have I ever gone skinny dipping."

Dawn instantly clapped to no one surprise given her type specialty. Then Iris clapped a second later which wasn't too surprising given that she was more connected to nature than the rest of them. It was the third clap alerted them to their first surprise. Georgia had clapped as well and now all of them were looking at her all expecting an explanation.

"What?" Georgia asked at the glances the other girls where giving her as if her clap had been a surprise. "I'm an ice type specialist, I have had to get my body ready to deal with my Pokémon and that included swimming naked in cold rivers to get used to cold. I always did it in private and had my Beartic and Bisharp after she evolved out to be prepared for anything. Why did Dawn and Iris clap? I'm curious as to those two."

"I'm a water type specialist." Dawn said simply. "It goes with the territory, again in private or only female company but I've done it a few times when the need hit me."

"And I just don't care." Iris said bluntly. "If I needed to wash myself I would do so and if I had no swimsuit on me then it was all natural. I always told the guys when I was doing it to keep them away, which they respected and never dared come near me, but I was going to do it regardless."

"I'm actually surprised that Zoey was the one who asked it." Georgia said looking over at her friend. "Candice has done it a few times in Lake Acuity while I was in Snowpoint City and tried to get me to join her though I prefer doing it alone. I would have thought she would have gotten you to do it at some point in the past."

"Oh she has tried and that is why I asked it to see if anyone else I knew had done it because I remembered Miss Senior's attempts to get me to join her in the Lake." Zoey said. "But Miss Senior is slightly crazy and loves the cold. I don't mind it but swimming in it isn't for me and I've never had the chance to skinny dip on my own so I wanted to see who had done it."

"Ok well that was a good way to up it, thanks Zoey." Dawn said with a nod before turning her grin on Misty interested in what her rival would say. "Misty, your turn."

Misty gulped as she thought about what she'd never done. Zoey had upped the ante and now that the topic had been broached it was expected to get to the personal or embarrassing stuff so she knew that they were going there now. The only issue was that she knew that she had done most of the things that she thought would be brought up, well except for illegal things but she doubted any of them had done stuff like that. Fortunately there was one thing that Misty knew she'd not done and decided to go with it to continue the game and see if any of the others had done.

"Never have I ever used an adult toy." Misty said trying to contain her blush and failing miserably.

Again there were multiple claps as Dawn cheered at the upping of the game. Zoey had been the first, followed by Dawn and finally Georgia. All were a surprise to some extent, though Georgia was by far the biggest surprise so far. The Unova Dragon Buster was turning into a bit of a wild card in the game.

"What? A woman has needs at times and I'm alone most of the time so I have something if the urge hits." Georgia said with a shrug as everyone looked at her. "It's not often but sometimes it happens and if I can't ignore it then I have to deal with it. I don't think of anything or anyone in particular, its more an itch that needs scratching so I do it and get it over with. A toy makes it a lot easier and quicker and then I can get back to what I'm doing, or sleep if it's at night."

"Yeah same here." Zoey admitted though she did at least think of some good memories when she did it but never regarding her crush, she couldn't do that. "Though not the way I would look at it but I get where Georgia is coming from."

"I just prefer them." Dawn said simply as if it was nothing and left it there. "May, complete the circle with something good."

May thought for a moment and then came up on one that would be good to end the first round and really increase the stakes of the game. It was one that she was curious about if she was being honest and decided now was as good a time as ever to find out without being weird for asking. She didn't care about the context or reason; she was just wondering who had done so.

"Never have I ever kissed another girl on the lips." May said to a few startled gasps.

Instantly Zoey clapped which caused Misty to be surprised but the others either weren't or in Iris's case unphased by it. A second later Dawn clapped as well causing a few more surprises including Zoey but it was the third one that blew everyone's mind, even Iris's, as Misty reluctantly clapped as well deciding that it was best to just be fully honest and maybe get some answer to that incident. This had been clearly something Dawn wanted out in the open for some reason but couldn't say herself, may as meet it head on.

Instantly almost every eye snapped to Misty and she went bright red at the sudden attention. Zoey's eyes were wide in shock though only Dawn noticed the flash of confusion and hurt in the Sinnoh redhead's eyes as she looked at Misty. May's mouth was open, when she had asked this she had assumed Zoey and expected Dawn of experimenting and maybe Georgia after the last two surprises, though the Dragon Buster hadn't clapped, but not Misty. Georgia and Iris were just curious and wanted to know the stories. Only Dawn was unfazed by it.

"What!" Zoey finally exclaimed as the shock ended though her heart was beating fast with a mix of hope and pain in it.

"When?" May asked recovering.

"Who?" Dawn asked with a sly smirk.

"You know well who Dawn." Misty snapped back at Dawn not letting the other girl control this, if she wanted this out then she may as well deal with it with Misty. "You were the one who kissed me!"

That revelation instantly shot the attention to Dawn though no one noticed that while Dawn still had a sly smirk on her face it didn't match her eyes. Anyone could see that as friendly as Misty and Dawn were to each other, there was some low-level conflict going on between the girls and this just added fuel to that conflict.

Iris and Georgia were now unified for once in wanting the full story as there was a lot more to it than met the eye. May was now gaping like a Magikarp at this and realizing that this was almost certainly part of the pettiness that Dawn had talked about at Ash's party. Only Zoey looked different, it was a look of hurt as her emotions finally settled on that and the hurt was directed at Dawn.

Dawn saw it in the redhead's eyes and realized then and there something interesting about Zoey that surprised her. Zoey was like her and May, she had lost a crush when Ash and Misty became a couple and announced it to all their friends at Ash's party. However, unlike the others, Zoey's lost love hadn't been Ash, it had been Misty. Dawn's heart went out to Zoey and knew that she had to put her at ease as it was clear that Misty had no idea that Zoey had a crush on her and Zoey was hurt that Misty had done something with another girl.

"I wanted a to see what Ash had and to show Misty that I was open minded." Dawn said nonchalantly though it was hiding her own inner turmoil over that act that she now saw in a different light thanks to hindsight. "I don't advertise it but I am into guys and girls and, well, Misty is very attractive though a little too feminine for my tastes. It was after our disagreement over Ash and Misty had asserted her dominance over me so I wanted to reclaim some of it and this was what I felt like worked best in the moment even if it was rash and sudden, neither of us were at our best that day."

"That's an understatement." Misty muttered but no one else heard as Dawn continued.

"It's no secret that I'm in love with Ash." Dawn was saying. "Pretty much everyone but him knew how I felt. I lost him to Misty and I was forced to accept her his girlfriend and I do. I know that Misty makes Ash happy and completes him, I can't be upset at that. I guess I just wanted to feel how Ash felt for a moment and apparently that was what my brain thought was the best way to do that at the time."

Dawn noticed Zoey sigh in relief as Dawn was talking while Misty was just glaring at her. It was clear that Misty wasn't into girls, it had all been Dawn's doing as part of their ongoing feud even if Dawn knew in hindsight that she had probably gone too far with that act. Zoey could rest easy on that front though Dawn was going to chat with her this week about this as it was obviously tough on Zoey that she couldn't be with Misty the way she wanted to be.

"Oh ok that explains Misty and Dawn." May said understanding it though she wasn't sure Dawn had done the right thing.

"I want the full story." Iris said, she was enjoying this story for the drama aspect and wanted more. "I didn't know any of this."

"No one does, not even Ash." Misty said a little more forcefully than she wanted but she had to make a point. "And I would like to keep it that way. It was after we got together and while I think he would understand, I would rather this end now and we never talk about it again."

"Don't worry, your secret is safe with us." May said putting a reassuring hand on Misty's shoulder. "We won't tell Ash. It is probably for the best to just leave it as if it never happened. I don't know all the details but from what I've heard you and Dawn weren't exactly on your best form that day, no point in burdening Ash with this. You know how he is, he's not great at understanding this stuff."

"You could say that again." Dawn agreed, while she should probably talk with Misty privately about this to sort it out, Ash didn't need to see Dawn's worst side. "It wasn't my proudest afternoon that's for sure."

"Thanks." Misty said with a smile at everyone. "I agree with Dawn, it wasn't my proudest afternoon but it means a lot that you will keep this."

Misty felt closer with the girls for this, even Georgia, and glad they could have some girl secrets just between them. She'd never really had a gang of girls that she was friends with before so it was nice to have this. However there was one thing still outstanding from May's go that Misty wanted an answer and she looked at her best friend who had been really quick to clap.

"Though I am surprised that you have kissed a girl Zoey." Misty said. "I was just expecting me and Dawn, not you as well."

"Really? You are?" Zoey asked confused and Dawn noticed that she had recovered for the most part from everything but she would sort it out with the redhead in private. "You're honestly surprised that I have?"

"Yeah." Misty said her brow furrowing at Zoey's odd questions. "I am. I mean I guess it wouldn't be surprising that a few of us have I guess but I don't know, knowing you for so long, it's just a surprise because I didn't know. Sure we haven't hung out much over the last year and a half so it could have happened then I guess. I'm sorry I never asked about this kinda stuff. I'm not used to having female friends."

"You really don't know and never realize, did you?" Zoey asked and Misty shook her head and Zoey's face softened and she smiled kindly at her best friend and crush, now was as good a time as ever to at least tell her the first part. "Misty, I'm gay."

Misty's eyes widened at Zoey's words. She hadn't realized that at all and Misty felt so bad for not noticing that about her best friend. In hindsight it made sense. Zoey wasn't exactly someone who stuck to gender norms at all. She had always been a tomboy to Misty and while that didn't mean that she was automatically gay, it lessened the surprise some now that Misty thought on it more.

"I'm so sorry, Zoey, I'm a terrible friend for not realizing." Misty muttered and Zoey reached out and took her hand and gave it a squeeze.

"Don't be sorry Misty." Zoey said reassuringly glad to hold Misty's hand even if it was platonic. "Honestly, like Dawn just said about herself, it's not something I see the point in advertising to people. Yes I like girls and if it ever comes up I'm open about it but I don't see the need to scream it. I've known and accepted who I am for years, pretty much ever since I realized I had a crush on Miss Senior. It doesn't affect me or anyone else so why should it matter who I like. So long as people don't treat me differently, and no one has, I don't care. Who someone loves, so long as it is legal, shouldn't matter."

"It doesn't." Misty agreed. "I just feel like a bad friend for not knowing this about you that's all."

"Misty, how long did it take you to realize you had feelings for Ash?" Iris asked bluntly, she was the most naïve of all of them but she was also the most direct and her question shifted the focus and saved Zoey having to deal with the main reason she'd never spoken about her orientation with Misty. "Because that is probably why you didn't notice anything."

"A long time." Misty admitted and began to feel better about herself. "I guess I am not great with this stuff though still better than my boyfriend."

"Well that explains a lot." Georgia said causing everyone to look at her confused again though not before laughing at the truth of Misty's words. "What? Candice kept hitting on me so if she had a thing with Zoey that explains it."

"Candice isn't gay, she's just goes with the flow of the universe and likes who she likes." Zoey said reluctantly letting go of Misty's hand but she wasn't upset anymore so it would get real awkward real soon if she kept holding it. "She's a free spirit and attracted to personality regardless of gender. It's what drew me to her in the first place and why in the end I realized she wasn't someone I could have a serious relationship with. We've fooled around a lot, she's the only girl I've kissed but we couldn't' work as a couple and we know it. I'm not surprised she hit on you Georgia, you love ice types, have a very strong drive, and frankly are attractive in a non-traditional feminine way which are all things Miss Senior likes."

"I mean I'm flattered but I honestly don't care for guys or girls right now." Georgia said surprising everyone though she did blush a little out of reflex at Zoey's complements. "I have my goal and nothing else matters in achieving it. When it is done I can figure out this romance thing and who I like, if I want, but only after the Village of Dragons has been defeated."

"That will never happen." Iris said with her trademark shrug. "You're such a kid if you think that."

"What did you call me wannabe." Georgia spat and instantly the more series mood was broken as the tentative peace between her and Iris was shattered. "Say it again, this time to my face, I dare you."

"I called you a kid because you are one." Iris said as they suddenly butted heads. "And I will keep doing it until you grow up."

"Only a kid would use that to win an argument." Georgia spat as the sparks flew between the Unova girls.

"Well that was bound to happen." May said as the everyone began to laugh as they waited for the rivals to finish their moment.

Zoey felt better now that she had at least confessed to her clueless friend that she was into girls. She hadn't yet confessed to Misty that she had fallen hard for her during their time together on the Sinnoh circuit or that she saw Ash a rival but she had always known it had been a longshot with Misty anyway. She had been hurt and surprised at Misty's admission to May's question but realizing that Misty had been the receiver and it had been because of Dawn's own actions she'd felt better.

In that moment she met Dawn's teal gaze and the Kanto dark haired girl gave her a small nod. Zoey realized that Dawn had figured it all out everything and that they were going to have to discuss this at some point before the Wallace Cup as it couldn't be left after tonight, Zoey had to confront her feelings this week.

Somehow Zoey found comfort in that. There was something about the gym leader that Zoey couldn't quiet place but she was definitely more observant than most. Shame Dawn wasn't her type or else she might have asked her out but having a friend who at least knew her own issue of crushing on someone she couldn't have would help a lot.

"Alright ladies break it up, we've had our fun let's get back to game, it's my go and I have a really good one that I've been saving just for this." Dawn said as she scolded Iris and Georgia into returning to the game, though they still occasionally glared at each other, and locked eyes with Misty before saying the thing that Misty knew was coming. "Never have I ever gone all the way with someone."

Misty just held Dawn's gaze before she slowly raised her hands and clapped in her face, her frustration overruling her embarrassment at the one never have I ever Misty knew was coming from Dawn. No one else clapped and everyone turned to Misty again.

"I knew it." Dawn said however Misty saw no triumph in the dark haired girl's eyes, only a mix of pain and jealousy but also desperate curiosity in there as well. "Well, I want all the details. Every single juicy one. I will likely never experience it with Ash so I would like to know what it's like from you."

"No." Misty said bluntly, smirking at Dawn. "I will not tell you a thing about mine and Ash's private life because that is what it is, our private life. What was it you said at the start, we have a right to refuse to answer intimate questions. I played your game with the last one but not this one. I will give no details."

"Fine." Dawn pouted cursing her own rule that had been designed to protect May backfiring on her. "At least tell me when was the first time and how often you two do it."

"The first time was the night of his birthday." Misty said. "I thought that you had guessed that after I asked you to look after Piplup for the night."

"I figured it was a high likelihood that you two would go all the way." Dawn admitted. "That was the most logical reason why I was asked to look after Piplup that night. I just wanted confirmation."

"Well now you have it." Misty said. "Let's move on shall we, Iris it's you're go."

"Dawn did ask how often as well." May pointed out surprising Misty with it given what Misty had realized about May's own feelings towards Ash though May was apparently channeling her own inner Dawn and making Misty uncomfortable. "You don't have to answer but I'm curious how often you two get the moment to, you know, have fun."

"Me too." Georgia said not realizing she was helping. "I'm enjoying this game; I feel like I'm getting to know you all a lot better."

"That's the point." Dawn said with a smile. "It's why I suggested it, we're here together for a full week and all know Ash so may as well really get to know one another as well. Well Misty, how often?"

"For the most we only do it in Pokémon Centers where we can get privacy as that is where Piplup and Pikachu get healed so aren't with us." Misty admitted deciding to give them this much and nothing more. "We don't do it in front of them so our times are limited to maybe once or twice a week and we didn't for over a month when Ash got sick in Lavender Town. Mostly we just make out and cuddle."

"I would have thought you would be at it like Bunearies." Zoey said her own emotions well in check as she had always known that her chances had been even longer that the others and deciding to get in on the making Misty squirm game, someone else would no doubt get it later. "After the first time that is."

"We would be but we are respectful to our Pokémon and neither stay in their Poke Balls so we don't do it." Misty admitted. "It's only fair. We do it when we can but that's not as much as we would like."

"I guess Ash isn't a little kid anymore then." Iris said with a sigh and a shrug. "Even if he acts like one still so I'll still call him that when he acts like one."

Everyone laughed at that and the mood was finally broken. Several secrets had come out, in once case literally, and the girls were bonding more than ever now all thanks to Dawn persuading them to play the game.

"Iris your turn." Misty said again silently thanking the blunt girl for moving the game on.

"Alright, never have I ever caught an ice type." Iris said taming the game down a bit from the rapid escalation Zoey had started and getting back at Georgia for earlier.

Instantly Georgia clapped followed by Misty a moment later, May didn't as Glaceon was evolved not caught though she did have an ice type. The surprise this time was who didn't clap and they all looked at Dawn.

"None of my Pokémon are duel water and ice types." Dawn said with a shrug. "Ash caught a Lapras back in the Orange Islands but I have never had the chance to get one of the duel types. I'm spending a few extra days in Hoenn after the Wallace Cup to try and catch a Spheal while here so hopefully that changes."

"Ash had a Lapras?" Misty asked amazed. "I never knew."

"Neither did I." May said and Iris just nodded in agreement with the others.

"Well he did release it so that is probably why he doesn't talk about it." Dawn said. "We met it early in our journey through the Orange Islands. It was separated from its herd and being harassed so Pikachu and Ash scared the harassers away. It was just a child and terrified of humans but Ash quickly earned its trust and it joined him after Ash promised to reunite it with its family. it was our mode of transportation out there so it lived up to its name as the Transport Pokémon."

"That is such an Ash thing to do." Misty said with a smile at Ash's actions and the other former traveling companions agreed. "I take it he succeeded in reuniting it with its herd."

"Of course, this is Ash we are talking about." Dawn said. "It was a touching and emotional day and around the end of our adventure out there. We reunited with Lapras once in Johto, it was an adult by then and the leader of its herd so Ash didn't recatch it. No idea where it is now but I am sure it is happy and leading its herd well."

"I bet." May said. "So Ash to do that."

"Yeah he was fond of it but kept his promise to Lapras even if it hurt him." Dawn said. "But enough about the past, Georgia, it's your turn."

"Alright I have a good one that came to ne because of this game." Georgia said with a grin. "Never have I ever had a crush on anyone who is competing in the Wallace Cup this year."

Misty and Dawn both clapped at once, it wasn't a surprise as Misty was dating Ash and Dawn had been blunt about her own unrequited feelings towards Ash. A few seconds later May clapped deciding to be honest but not saying who and further cementing Misty's belief that she liked Ash. Then Zoey clapped surprising them all when she too clapped but shook her head as soon as they looked at her making it clear that she wouldn't answer that question so no one pried. Iris didn't clap and that got the interest of Georgia.

"You don't have a thing for Ash or Cilan?" Georgia asked Iris so confused she had forgotten about their rivalry and May breathed a sigh of relief that she was going to be ignored. "Not even after traveling with them for a whole year?"

"Nope no interest at all." Iris said shaking her head. "Ash is way too childish and Cilan way too annoying for me. They're my best friends after Axew but that is it."

"So you can't like them like that because they are just like you." Georgia said her snideness back. "Childish and annoying."

"Why you." Iris said and again the girls butted heads.

"I'm still amazed you didn't fall for Ash." Dawn said to Iris. "Misty and I were suckers for him and his unique charm."

"Yeah well he's just not my type I guess." Iris said as her and Georgia continued to snarl at each other. "I am looking for a fellow dragon master but only after I am worthy of the title myself first. Until then, it's all about achieving my goal."

"Of course you would well get there because when I get back to Unova I am coming for you and the Village of Dragons." Georgia said. "You're time is running out to achieve that."

"Bring it sister." Iris snapped back as everyone laughed. "I'll destroy you every time we meet."

"I'd like to see you try." Georgia shot back.

With the distractions no one asked May about her clap so she was in the clear of having to admit who in front of Misty and she would have to because the only other guy in the Wallace Cup was Cilan who they knew she didn't know at all. May knew that Ash loved Misty and vice versa and May didn't want her own unrequited feelings, feelings that wouldn't go but were at least turning into a scar on her heart, getting between her and Misty's friendship. Misty was one of her best friends and she was happy that Misty was happy, May would never damage their friendship.

Thankfully Zoey was the first to stop laughing at yet another bout between Georgia and Iris and continued the game with a tame never have I ever that got Georgia and Iris and set the rivals off yet again. It was a good time and Misty continued the game with another lighthearted one.

They were all having a great time and getting ready for the upcoming Wallace Cup. Soon they would all be rivals when the Cup started but for now they were just a group of old and new friends bonding over shared secrets and having a great time.

It was moments like this that reminded Misty why she loved traveling and having adventures all over the world. She couldn't wait for the Cup to bring more; she was certain that it would be one for the ages. Misty had no idea how right she was.
