Chapter 1

The Beginning of Adventure

"And Champion Leon's Charizard dodges the mighty Dragon Pulse from Raihan's Duraludon, but what is this?!, Duraludon follows his bid with a powerful thunderbolt, connecting against the champion's Charizard! Will this be the end of Leon's undefeated streak?"

"Don't give up Charizard!"

"Come on Gloria, we've seen this fight five times in a row, we both know how everything ends."

"Oh, shut up Elio, you are also excited about this... Look, he is going to Dynamax! Don't speak!" A laugh escaped his lips, watching as his cousin got excited while Leon turned to his Charizard huge.

Elio could remember how this match had been broadcast last night, the exhibition match before the official opening of the Galar Pokémon League, where Raihan, the leader of Hammerlocke City, had challenged champion Leon, and almost managed to beat him. For him and his cousin, it was one of the most exciting Leon matches had ever seen.

His cousin, Gloria, was very much like him, although they were an age apart. She was just turning fifteen, while he was already sixteen. Gloria had light skin like his, although her hair was brown, like her mother's, while he had black hair, like his father's.

Both his father and aunt came from the Alola region, and although his aunt had moved to Galar when she married her uncle, Elio's father did not do the same until he was eight years old. Something about work or things like that, he no longer remembered. In fact, the only thing he remembered about the paradisiacal island was the soft crash of the waves against the shore, the aroma of the beach and nature around him, and the warm smile of his mother.

"I never tired of seeing Leon's fights, and you Elio?" He listens then, waking up from his reverie.

"What, ah? Did you say something, Gloria?" He asked lost, taking a hit from the chestnut in response.

"Come on, you can't ignore me like that!" She exclaims pouting as I hit him, although there was really no force in his punches.

"Sorry, sorry, I won't do it again" He answered while laughing.

"Elio, Gloria, Hop is here!" Then they heard their aunt/mother call them, a huge smile formed on their faces.

"Going!" They both said.

His aunt Mizuki had always looked like a young woman, and Elio never quite remembered his age. She was a little shorter than him, though taller than Gloria. Her hair was tied up in a ponytail, and she was wearing a blue jumpsuit, under a greyish shirt.

Next to her was Hop, Elio and Gloria's best friend. His skin was darker than both of them, and like his brother he had purple hair, although much shorter than this one, combed in a beak. He was dressed in a plush jacket, with a dark shirt underneath and matching pants and shoes. His golden eyes never failed to convey the joyous joy that Hop emanated. A green backpack hung behind his back.

"Hey, how are you guys?" The boy said, when he saw Gloria's phone on her hand. "Hey, is that your new cell phone?"

"That's right, we were using it to watch Leon's fight again," the brunette replied smiling.

"I understand, the combat was incredible, do not forget to cheer him up by doing his Charizard pose," he exclaimed as he raised one of his arms with three of his fingers extended, imitating the pose and the smile of the champion, to the grace of his friends.

"Well Hop, now that everyone is here, shouldn't you prepare yourselves?" Gloria's mother intervened, smiling at them with amusement. "Today is the big day after all," She said, while Gloria's eyes shone with emotion.

"Haha, that's right Miss Mizuki, today I got up a little late to be watching Leon's fight too, but since we always recorded it at home, I didn't take much time seeing him and I came here to look for Elio and Gloria."

"Well, what are we waiting for!" Jumped with excitement Gloria, taking the hands of Hop and Elio "Let's go now!"

"Gloria, darling, wait" Mizuki exclaimed, stopping her in her tracks. "I understand that you're excited and everything, but shouldn't you change your pajamas before leaving?"

And to Gloria's shame, when she saw herself, she couldn't help but blush deeply when she noticed that indeed, not even her shoes were wearing.

"Mmm, guys, promise me you won't leave without me, okay, I'll be out soon."

"Don't worry, we'll wait for you here," Elio replied smiling as he hung his own backpack, black and red, behind his back, with Hop laughing amusedly as he nodded behind him.

"Well, make yourselves comfortable as you wait for Gloria, this girl sometimes I don't know what's on her mind," Mizuki said, as she returned to the kitchen after Gloria left for her room. "Oh, and please don't go to the forest, I know how reckless you can be."

"Don't worry Aunt Mizuki."

"Yes, we will be fine, ma'am," Elio and Hop assured her.

Elio was nervous, and took the opportunity to see himself in the mirror one more time to ensure that nothing is lacking. The night before, he had made sure to sleep early to get ready, although apparently, he was the only one of his friends who had fully prepared himself. He was dressed in a white T-shirt under a black vest, with dark blue-colored pants and shoes. A Pokéball logo cap was covering his long black hair.

"First stop by your house to see if you were ready" exclaimed Hop then, looking at him calmly as he lay down next to him "But nobody came out. Did your father go to the city?"

"Yes, you know how everything is, but he wishes me luck yesterday for today. He said he would be here later ready with a surprise for me."

"That's great, today is a very special day after all, today we get our first Pokémon! ... Well, you both to your first Pokémon, I will have my second" he corrected laughing a little blushing while closed his eyes.

"Yes, how is Lulu by the way?"

"She stayed outside, apparently a Wooloo is very interested in the fence that separates the town from the Slumbering Weald."

"I'm back!" Gloria exclaimed then, arriving next to them. Now she was dressed in a pink dress, under a gray sweater with a green beret on her head. A large brown backpack hung on her back "We're leaving mom!"

"Okay, be careful guys, and please don't get in trouble!"

"Yes!/Sure!/Goodbye miss!" The three answered in unison, leaving Gloria's house.

Postwick welcomed them as always, with the birds plaguing the heavens with their song, and the scent of flowers surrounding the place.

"But why can't I go?"

"Wooloo is very dangerous."

"Hey, Lulu!" Gloria said running towards both Pokémon.

The first was a small Wooloo, she should not have been more than 6 years old due to her appearance. She wore a white dress, with a black wool cap covering her gray hair gathered in two pigtails.

The other was Hop's Wooloo, Lulu. Like Elio and Hop, she appeared to be sixteen, covering her body in a white wool sweater and matching pants. Her hair started white, and as it went down it turned gray. Crowning her hair, she had a small pair of horns.

"Gloria, how nice to see you!" Lulu replied hugging Gloria, smiling. "Hello Elio".

"Hello Lulu," replied the boy, turning his gaze to the younger Wooloo, "Is she the Wooloo you told me that Lulu was talking to, Hop?"

"That's right," replied he, crouching down at the child's height as he smiled at her, "Wooloo, please don't go through the fence. In the Slumbering Weald there are very dangerous Pokémon and anything could happen to you."

"Well, fine," the little girl answered, pouting as she looked at the forest through the fence.

"Okay, so guys, let's go home. My brother must be there waiting for us by now. Come on!" - Exclaimed Hop as he ran with Lulu and Gloria after him, and Elio followed soon after.

It didn't take long for them to get to Hop's house, Postwick was a small town, literally Elio and Gloria's houses were next to each other and didn't really make much difference. Although Hop's house stood out, after all it was the biggest house in town, although it was no wonder.

"Mom, I'm back! Is my brother already here?"

"Look you're impatient Hop, your brother has not arrived yet" replied Hop's mother, a graceful lady with purple hair like her son's, dressed in a yellow long-sleeved shirt and gray pants. As soon as her gaze fell on her son's companions, a smile adorned her face. "Hi Elio, Gloria, how nice to see you both".

"Good afternoon Miss Dracanea / How are you?" Both cousins answered in unison, corresponding to the woman's smile.

"Then he hasn't arrived yet?" Asked Hop disappointed, bowing his head in resignation, receiving a pat on the back from Lulu, supporting him.

"Well, that's not entirely true" said the woman, drawing the quartet's attention. "I recently heard the young people of the village make a fuss about something in Wedgehurst, I wouldn't be surprised if your brother on the way here had mistakenly stopped there. You know what their sense of direction is like."

"You're right. Very well then, we are going to Wedgehurst, we do not want my brother to get lost, also this way we will prevent his fans from crowding him until very late. Two birds with one shot" Exclaimed Hop looking at them smiling, before turning to see Lulu while taking a red and white sphere. A Pokéball. "For now, I think it will be better for you to return Lulu, we do not know if we'll need your help against some wild Pokémon later."

"Very well," she replied, allowing herself to be absorbed into the Pokéball.

"Well now, let's go."

They soon reached the entrance to Route 1, riddled with other wild Wooloos and many other types of Pokémon.

"Remember, I have Lulu, so if some wild Pokémon challenges me I will have no problem, but if you go you could be in trouble, because you both still don't have any Pokémon, so try to avoid the grass as much as you can" Hop had said as soon as they reached the road. In the distance, they already saw a crowd of people surrounding the train station, Gloria could not avoid a shriek of emotion when she saw who it was.

"Hop, there is no problem if Elio and I go ahead, right?!" Gloria said, looking away from the fight her friend was fighting. While they were on the way, a Rookidee had approached with the intention of fighting against them, so Hop was taking care of her with the help of Lulu.

"Very well, go then. Lulu and I caught up with them right away" he replied with a smile before turning her gaze back to combat. The Rookidee had just attacked with a peck "That won't be enough, Lulu, use Tackle!"

"Come on Elio." Without waiting any longer, Gloria literally dragged her cousin into the town.

As soon as they entered Wedgehurst they could see that the place was crowded with people at the entrance, which was just in front of the town's train station, and it was no wonder. Leon, the champion himself, was there with his beautiful Charizard.

"How are we, Wedgehurst? Champion Leon is back home!" He exclaimed, doing his typical pose, tilting his body as he raised his hand with three fingers extended.

"WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" The entire town shouted in jubilation at the arrival of their champion.

"I can't believe it, it's Leon!" Even Gloria, who knew he was coming, couldn't help but get excited by his entrance.

Leon was in many ways Hop-like, though with him hair much longer, pulled back in a flat black cap, and with a small beard adorning him face. He wore a black sports shirt with red details and white shorts, with long stockings of the same color. A reddish cape hung from his shoulders, with the Pokémon League logo adorning it.

By his side, his Charizard wore an orange short-sleeved blouse, along with some wristbands of the same color. Upon her hair she wore goggles that match the orange of her hair, with a pair of horns protruding from it, and a tail protruding from the end of her back, with the tip on fire. Yellow pants and white sandals finished his outfit.

"Leon and Charizard are here! They both are the best!

"The unbeatable champion of the region has truly returned!"

"Thank you very much for your support, dear public!" Leon replied with a smile. "I hope you continue train your Pokémon, and so one day we will face each other in the Pokémon league with everything they have! I'll be waiting for you!"

"To face the league in itself is a challenge, not to mention trying to beat the champion!"

"Yes, your Charizard is too strong for mortals like us, we wouldn't have a chance!"

"Please, you're going to make Natsuki blush," Leon replied smiling, with the girl snorting behind him with a smile, "My partner is very strong, of course, but you can be too! I hope that really strong trainers come to challenge me, to fight and strengthen each other, so that someday, we will become the strongest in the world! That is my dream!"

"WHOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Once again, the town exploded in cheers for their champion, who was only smiling gratefully for it.

"Leon is so cool!" Gloria exclaimed, unable to hold his emotion.

"Yes, he is, but you could let go my arm!" Elio protested, to whom Gloria was squeezing his arm with a titanic force not appropriate for a girl of his complexion, in a vain attempt not to go crazy for her emotion.

"Hey, guys, excuse the delay, I'm back." Then they heard Hop, who had barely caught up with them. "What did I miss? Oh yes there he is, hey Leon! Over here!"

Hearing Hop's voice, Leon began to search the crowd, until Natsuki pointed to a place in the background, and his smile widened even further.

"Hey Hop, how long" People made way for the champion, watching him approach the group of young people with his Charizard "Sorry people, but my number one fans have come looking for me."

If Elio had gambled earlier if his cousin couldn't be more excited that day, he would have lost loudly. She didn't know what excited her the most, whether to see Hop's brother in person, or to see Natsuki, his Charizard, again. What he did know is that since he regretted having left his right arm.

"What's up, little champion? You've grown more since the last time I saw you" Leon exclaimed, messing up Hop's hair, smiling, the same smile Hop had.

"Nothing further from reality, brother," he replied, making Leon laugh. His gaze then fell on Elio and Gloria, and with the mini squeal that she let out Elio can swear that this time an eardrum had exploded.

"Gloria, Elio, how nice to see you guys again, wow, they really have grown up. Are you ready for the big day?"

"Of course, I did/Y-yes!" Both Elio and Gloria responded calmly/with emotion, the latter almost fainting when Natsuki winked mischievously at her.

"Very well, we had better go back to the Town, we will be calmer."

"Sounds good to me, so let's have a run, the last one to come is out of dinner!" Hop exclaimed before running back down the path he had taken.

"Hey, it's not fair Hop!" Gloria complained as she went after him.

"Wow, how these two likes to compete," Leon commented smiling, before turning to see the town "Well my people, it is time to go, thank you very much for receiving me and remember."

Once again Leon had come into his pose, this time with Natsuki imitating him, the two speaking in unison.

"A champion is not born, it is done!"

"WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

"How cool is that" Elio thought, trying to control a smile on his face.

"Heh, come on Elio" Leon said then, as he and Charizard went after the duo.

"I'm going." And with that said, he also joined the race.

They soon returned to Postwick, to the courtyard of Hop's house. They even had its own mini-field for Pokémon battles, and there, in front of Leon and his Charizard, were Hop, Elio and Gloria, eager for what was to come. Even Hop had let Lulu out, wanting her to be present.

"Well brother, don't make us wait any longer, you promised to bring us all three new Pokémon, so let's go," exclaimed Hop anxiously, being scolded for this by his Wooloo, but they couldn't blame him, Elio and Gloria were just as excited than him. A laugh escaped Natsuki's mouth looking at Hop, while Leon only shook his head with a smile.

"Don't worry, Hop, I always keep my promises, and today your favorite champion has brought you some incredible gifts," he replied, smiling even more at the beaming look of the boys as he pulled three Pokéballs out of his pockets. "It´s time for you to meet them!"

Launching all three spheres at the same time, three beams of light were released, gradually taking shape.

The first was a green-haired girl with a small bow on top of her head, supported by a branch. She was wearing an orange short-sleeved shirt with gloves of the same color, with a green mini vest on top. Finally, she wore green pants and orange sandals. A brown tail came out from under her shirt, looped around her waist like a belt. When she saw the three of them, a joyous laugh escaped her lips. It was Grookey, the grass-type Pokémon.

The next to come out was a cute girl with white hair, with two bunny ears that ended with reddish tips, and a fluffy tail under her back. She wore a tight red and white short-sleeved shirt with white mini shorts and red sneakers. A small yellow band on her nose completed her appearance. As soon as she came out, she started running around her companions, leaving a trail of fire with each step. It was Scorbunny, the fire-type Pokémon.

The last one had bluish hair, tied in a ponytail by a yellow ribbon. She wore a blue button-down T-shirt inside a lighter shade of it, with blue sneakers. Beneath her back was a long bluish tail, and she wore oval glasses highlighting her pretty blue eyes. As soon as she saw the disaster her friend was doing, she prepared to turn it off by shooting jets of water from her mouth, completely ignoring the presence of the trainers while scolding her in a soft voice. She was Sobble, the water-type Pokémon.

"Hey, girls, come here, there is someone I want to introduce you to," Leon exclaimed gracefully, drawing the attention of the three of them.

"What is it, Mister Leon?" Sobble asked politely, blushing at the center of attention. Luckily, Scorbunny jumped up taking the screen.

"Yeah, you said we'd meet our trainers today, we shouldn't be wasting our time out there!" She complained making Grookey laugh.

"Scorbunny, I think we're here," she explained, looking at the young people.

"That's right, girls, they are Hop, my younger brother, and her friends, Gloria and Elio. Today they will debut as Pokémon trainers."

"H-Hello" Greet Gloria nervously, never losing her smile. Her cousin behind her just nodded, with the same smile as her.

"Well," said Leon, "Who will go first?"

Gloria then turned to look at Elio and Hop with doubt, only to meet their smiling faces.

"I've been waiting a year for you to be old enough to have your own Pokémon, a little more won't hurt me," Elio replied with a shrug.

"That's right, besides I already have Lulu, so go ahead, go for it Gloria" Hop said in the same way, smiling as he ran his hands behind his head.

"Guys..." Gloria felt that at any moment she could cry. Sometimes she hated being so emotional "You are the best!" In an impulse she jumped towards them, giving them a big hug that the two had no buts to reciprocate.

"Well, go ahead cousin."

"Don't keep them waiting."

"Very good!"

Gloria approached the three girls. Grookey kept her happy smile the whole time. Scorbunny, true to his nature, jumped from one foot to the other without being able to resist the emotion. On the other hand, Sobble was smiling more timidly. Gloria smiled because she knew who she wanted as her partner.

"I choose Scorbunny," she said, as the aforementioned only clashed her fists in excitement as her teammates congratulated her.

"Scorbunny is a very energetic and lively Pokémon, perfect for you actually," Leon commented with a smile as he handed his Pokéball to Gloria, before seeing the rabbit girl. "Do you agree Scorbunny?"

"Of course, I do," replied the girl, laughing.

"Okay, so from now on your name will be Rumi" Gloria exclaimed smiling, "Come Rumi!" And she just returned her to her Pokéball.

"Well, if you don't mind Elio, I'd like to choose myself now," Hop said then, while Gloria pampered her new Pokéball fondly. Elio only denied while smiling.

"Ahead."

With a smile Hop approaches the now duo with Lulu. He did not have to think much; he already knew who he wanted on his team.

"Okay, so if you agree," Hop stopped in front of the green-haired girl "I think a grass-type Pokémon would look good on our team, don't you think Lulu?"

"I think so," he replied laughing.

"So, what do you say Grookey? Would you join our team?" He asks, to which the girl laughed as she bowed.

"It would be an honor for me, Master," she said jokingly, with a smile just like Hop's.

"Okay, then I'll call you… Ellie, what do you think?" He asked, and the smile of, now Ellie, widened even more.

"I love it."

"Well, then that means," Elio said, advancing between Gloria and her Pokéball and Hop with Ellie and Lulu, until she was in front of Sobble, smiling at him kindly, "That you and I will be companions, do you agree?"

"I…" But the girl could not answer, since at that moment Leon approached putting a hand on Elio's shoulder, drawing the attention of the others as well.

"Actually, I would like her to come to my team," he said, surprising everyone present, especially Sobble, "If she agrees, of course" He complete turning to see her.

A big blush covered her entire face, as a bigger smile formed.

"Y-yes! O-of course, it would be an honor!" She answered with a deep bow, making Natsuki laugh, while Leon denied with a smile.

"Okay, then Lily is coming back," he said, as he returned the girl to her Pokéball.

"Hey, wait a minute brother!" It didn't take long for Hop to protest, frowning at him.

"You said you would give a Pokémon to all of us, just because you are the champion doesn't mean you can do whatever you want!" Gloria said the same way looking him angry.

"Hey, it doesn't matter guys," Elio said with a small smile, although his eyes showed that he was disappointed, breaking both their hearts. "I guess it will be next year."

But then Leon's soft laugh caught the attention of the three of them, his Charizard's smile getting bigger and bigger.

"Actually, I don't think you should wait that long, Elio."

SWISH

A quick sound, as if something was breaking the wind, was heard in the distance, and Natsuki's smile turned into a laugh.

"Just in time."

It was a Flying Taxi. At the top, wrapped in a bluish stele in the shape of a bird, was a beautiful silver-haired girl with huge black wings, dressed in blue aviator clothes. She covered her hair with an aviator cap, with protective glasses over her eyes. In her hands, covered by dark gloves, she carried a large white cable car.

In a short time, her figure became visible to the three friends, who parked in front of them, descending the cabin little by little leaning on their huge wings. When she touched the ground, the trail that covered her disappeared, and her wings retracted until she could hide them behind her hair.

A man with bluish-black hair and silver eyes came out of the cabin first. He was dressed in a somewhat dirty workman's outfit, but he had a big smile on his face.

"Thank you very much Corviknight." he said to the Pokémon, ignoring the faces of the young people present.

"Dad?/Uncle Taiyō?/Mister Sun?" Elio, Gloria and Hop asked at the same time, looking at the newcomer in surprise. This when he saw them, he could only smile at them, even more when he saw the Pokéball that Gloria had, and the two Pokémon next to Hop.

"Hi guys, I see that they already received their Pokémon." he said, while another man came out of the taxi.

"That's right, uncle, but ..." Gloria said, looking at Elio worried.

"My brother took his from Elio" Complete Hop looking at his brother angry. He only raised his hands in surrender, with some nervousness on his face while Natsuki after laughing.

"Oh yes, about that, I was the one who asked him to do it" Reveal Taiyō, much to the boys' dismay.

"What?!" No surprisingly the first to explode was Elio, looking at his father with betrayal. "But why dad?!" He demanded, so Taiyō, smiling at him with understanding, turned so they could see the man who came with him.

"I want you to meet someone." He was a tall man, even taller than Leon, with a goatee beard on his chin. He looked muscular, and dressed in a white coat and gray three-quarter pants, wearing green sandals. Covering his eyes, he also wore green sunglasses. His black hair was tied up in a low ponytail, inside a white cap.

"Uff, in the hot weather I don't know how you can live Tai, you even made me close my robe!" The man complained.

"This is not Alola, Professor" Taiyō snort, seeing him crossing his arms, "You can't go around showing the package."

"Yeah, but don't say it either, so the children could misunderstand it, what an image would you give of me," he complained, and soon the two of them laughed together, to the confusion of the boys.

"Dad, who is he?" Elio asked more than confused. The professor just shook his head sighing.

"Where's my head at? If Burnet were here, I would have been ground by my lack of manners by now" the man exclaimed with a sigh, and then he saw the boys smiling widely. "I, my dear children, am Kukui, Alola Pokémon Professor" He introduced himself, then focused his gaze on Elio "And today, I have come here to give you your starter Pokémon Elio" He revealed, to the emotion of Gloria and Hop.

"Yes!"

"This is amazing, the professor himself came to deliver you to your first Pokémon Elio!"

"Huh?" And while Gloria and Hop celebrated that the three of them were going to have their Pokémon, Elio was just beginning to assimilate all of it.

Without realizing it, his father had come to his side, putting a hand on his shoulder to get his attention. A warm smile was on his face.

"I know how important this day is to you, that's why I wanted to give you an equally special present. I know you grew up a large part of your life here, Elio, but the two of us, you and me, we are from Alola, and with this I hope you feel that our native home will always be with us" the man explained, to which Elio corresponded with a smile.

"Well" Kukui interrupted with a cheery smile on his face, pulling three Pokéballs out of the bottom of his robe, "This is usually done by the Islands Kahunas, but I'll try my best. Let's do it, get out!"

Throwing the Pokéballs into the air, 3 Pokémon came out, wrapped in light.

The first one had white hair, turning green as it ended. She wore a brown hooded sweater, from which two small wings protruded, and a matching skirt, ending in orange sandals. As soon as she got out of the Pokéball she seemed to be asleep, waking up from her sleep by her second partner, yawning tenderly as she got up and smiled. It was Rowlet, the Grass Quill Pokémon.

The second to come out, and the one lifting Rowlet, was a girl with bluish hair, pulled back into a ponytail. Her cheeks were permanently flushed, and she wore a blue sports top and matching shorts, ending in white sandals. After waking up her friend and sighing in annoyance, she turned to see the trainers with a big smile on her face. She was Popplio, the Sea Lion Pokémon.

The last one tried to get away from the other two, ignoring the trainers' gaze, and the sad ones that her teammates gave her. She was wearing a black long-sleeved sweater with red accents, pants and boots of the same color. Her hair was short and wild, with cat ears sticking out of them. A black tail protruded from the end of her back. On her cheeks and on her forehead, there was nice reddish marks, which had nothing to do with his apathetic golden gaze. She was Litten, the Fire Cat Pokémon.

"Well, who do you choose Elio?" Asked his father seeing him while smiling, his friends seeing impressed the new three Pokémon that they had never seen in their life.

"Mmm, I'm not sure ..." Said this, but his gaze did not leave the black-haired girl, sighing, and arming himself, he approached her.

One of Litten's ears came up when she heard footsteps coming towards her. Turning her face away, her expressionless eyes saw eye to eye with a nervous trainer.

"Hello ... what's your name?" Asked this, she seeing as behind him, the group of humans she didn't know were palm their faces. She also thought the same.

What an idiot.

"I don't have one," she replied monotonously "Only a trainer can give me one."

"Oh yes," he replied, as if he had only just remembered that detail, but then, to Litten's confusion, she saw he smile. "So, what do you think if I give you one? It's not right that you don't have a name, it's as if I was being called around human or something like that."

"I don't think you understand" she continued, now more confused. "Only my trainer, my master, can give me a name" she replied, not understanding why Popplio and Rowlet were smiling with joy at her side.

"Well that's what I'm trying to say, I want to be your trainer," He explain, and for the first time Litten's eyes showed another emotion.

Surprise.

"What?" She asked, a pretty blush covering her cheeks, to the amusement of her friends. But she couldn't take her eyes off the boy who was smiling in front of her.

"Well, I suppose that's what you decide." He heard Professor Kukui then, who approached them with a smile. "In Alola, to take one of the starters as your partner, it is not enough to choose them, they must also choose you" His attention then turned to Litten, who had not yet assimilated everything. "Well Litten, will you be Elio's Pokémon?"

"What do you say? Let's travel together, Litten!" The human, Elio, smiled even more if he could, extending his hand towards her. A small smile dared to break that apathetic face, slowly taking the offered hand.

"I am in your care, master" said the girl as she bowed.

"Very well, but don't call me master, better call me Elio. And from this day on, your name is Neo" He said smiling, the same that she allowed herself to have.

"Yes, Elio."

"Congratulations Litten! I mean, Neo," she listened then, before being suffocated by Popplio's strong hug.

"I knew today would be a great day, let's take a nap to celebrate" Rowlet said then, before falling asleep on Neo's back.

"It can't be, she fell asleep again!" Popplio complained again, to the grace of everyone present.

"Well, Popplio, Rowlet, you better get back now," Kukui said, returning both of them to their Pokéballs, while handing Litten's to Elio "Take good care of Neo, Elio."

"I will," he replied quickly, as Litten covered her face in the collar of her sweater. Then Professor Kukui remembered something else.

"Ah, right, I almost forgot," he said, drawing the attention of those present. "Elio, you have a mobile, don't you?"

"Em, yes, why?" He answered confused.

"Lend me a second," Kukui said.

Elio, confused, did as requested. He took out his phone from his pocket, a black Smart-Rotom. Investigating the Rotom's abilities to enter household appliances, they managed to create a kind of program based on Rotom, which allows improving the equipment they enter. The latest model is the Smart-Rotom, the combination of Rotom with a smartphone.

The professor pulled out his own, a white Smart-Rotom, with lightning-shaped propellers at its corners and Rotom's smiling face at the back. Then he touches the corners of both devices.

Alola Pokédex loaded.

"Ready, that's it," said the professor, smiling, releasing his Smart-Rotom that returned to the owner's hands.

"But professor, what did you do?" He asks, with Gloria, Hop and the latter's Pokémon watching the phone, curious.

"It said it was updating, right?" Gloria commented confused.

"Yes, but it doesn't seem any different from ours," Hop agreed, causing a smile on the professor and the other two adults present.

"You see" he comment, turning my gaze to the black-haired kid, "Elio, look at Neo and say 'Pokédex'".

"Mmm, okay?" Not quite sure, Elio obeyed, turning to see his Pokémon "Pokédex?"

"Wow," the kids and their Pokémon said in unison, looking at the data displayed on the phone. Neo's ears were raised as he tilted his head, curiously reading everything it said.

"The Pokédex is an encyclopedia that stores all the data of the Pokémon that exist, it is very useful, especially for novice trainers like you" explained Professor Kukui with a smile, until he was suddenly surrounded by Gloria, who was seeing him. with bright eyes with her phone in hand.

"Can you update mine too? Please, please, please, please" the girl asked again and again for the grace of his companions.

"Sorry, but the update I made in Elio was for the Alola Pokédex," explained the professor, "With that you can see the Litten data, since it is not a Galar Pokémon. The same update would be useless in yours."

"Ow..." The girl said disappointed.

"Hey, don't worry Gloria," Taiyō exclaimed, cheering on her niece. "Professor Magnolia will surely be able to do you and Hop the favor of updating yours Smart-Rotom with the Galar Pokédex. In fact, Elio should do it too, Alola Pokédex won't be much useful here."

"Professor Magnolia's lab is right in Wedgehurst indeed," added the champion, smiling. "It shouldn't be too much trouble doing us that favor."

"Then let's get going, to Wedgehurst!" Hop exclaimed excitedly, but before he could even take a step, Natsuki, Leon's Charizard, stopped him snorting.

"Hold on Hop, don't you realize it's getting dark already?" It was true, time had passed so quickly that they hadn't even realized it. "You better go tomorrow; Miss Magnolia is already very old to serve you at these hours."

"Okay, so don't say more, tomorrow we will go to Wedgehurst to get those Pokédex, do we all agree?" Leon asked smiling, seeing how the three friends looked at each other before nodding.

"Yes!" They answered in unison, raising their fists enthusiastically.

"Very well, then Hop would be better off going home, I haven't seen Mom and the grandparents in a while" commented the champion before turning to see Taiyō and Kukui. "A pleasure to see you again, Mr. Taiyō, and what a pleasure to finally meet you, Professor Kukui."

"The pleasure is all mine, champion" replied the professor, smiling. "I look forward to seeing what matches will take place in this year's league, and seeing why they call you the unbeatable champion" Leon's smile only widened at this.

"It will be" And without more, he resumed his way back home with Natsuki.

"Okay, so we'll see each other here tomorrow to go to Professor Magnolia, okay guys? See you" Hop said goodbye smiling "Goodbye Mr. Taiyō, and nice to meet you Professor Kukui."

"Take care boy."

"Don't cause problems for your mother," laughed Elio's father, watching him follow in his brother's footsteps. Then he realized that Elio was looking at him asking a silent question, which he soon answered. "In order to come here I had to ask a colleague to cover me on the night shift, I must return to the city, and I must also take Kukui to where he will stay. I don't think I'm staying home tonight" he said, to which Elio just nodded.

"I understand, Dad."

"Okay, time to go," Kukui exclaimed, returning to the inside of the flying taxi cabin, before turning to see both trainers with a smile, "And make sure you take good care of your Pokémon."

"Say hello to your mother from me, Gloria," Taiyō said as he followed in the professor's footsteps. "See you, son".

"Goodbye dad!/Come back soon!" The two said goodbye smiling, as they watched the flying taxi rise again.

Inside the cable car, Taiyō looked at his old friend seriously.

"Do you think that Litten will give my son problems?" He asked somewhat worried, but when he saw that the professor's smile did not diminish, he knew that he would not have to worry.

"They will be fine," He assured him "That Litten has seen it difficult, having been without a trainer for a year, they even returned it once without even giving it a name or having made a pact, but your son gives off such great energy, I think that he will be a great trainer someday" He turn to see him, with great certainty in his words "And I'm sure that Litten will take him far."

A sigh that he didn't know contained allowed himself to come out of Taiyō's mouth, smiling in agreement.

"Yes, that sounds like my son."

By nightfall, Elio was back at home, eating with his new Pokémon. Although the silence they experienced made him uncomfortable, he didn't know how to break it, nor did it help that she was hardly touching his food.

"Excuse me if I prepare something that is not to your liking, the people usually say that I cook well" He giggled nervously in an attempt to break the ice, Neo only refused by posing his monotonous eyes on it.

"No, the food is fine, I was just wondering something ... Well, two or three things, actually" she replied, setting his golden eyes on Elio's silver ones, a chill running down his spine.

"Well, you can tell me anything you want," he replied, smiling confidently.

"Okay, so… why did you choose me over Rowlet and Popplio… and why start asking for my name? Really, I think that today it is rare that there are trainers who do not know that Pokémon without trainers do not have a name ... unless you are an idiot, of course" Elio could not help thinking that the latter was out of the question.

"Well, sorry if I made a bad first impression, but I was nervous!" Elio exclaimed in his defense before sighing, giving him a calm smile, "Unlike Rowlet and Popplio you looked so, distant, I don't know, it was like if you were upset or sad, and that didn't sit well with me."

Litten tilted her head in confusion, which Elio was very adorable about, but had to focus.

"I thought I could do something to cheer you up, and well, when you mentioned that only a trainer could give you a name, it seems like that's what you wanted, so I did it," he said, without losing his smile.

A small blush had returned to Neo's cheeks, again hiding a smile under the collar of her sweater.

"I see" she said simply, seeing Elio nod and go back to his food, with a more pleasant atmosphere between them.

But there was still another thing he wanted to know.

"Actually, there's something else I wanted to ask."

"Mmm?" Elio turned to see her again, raising an eyebrow as he passed his food. "What's going on?"

"I wanted to know when you were planning to make a pact with me," she said, as if it were the most common thing in the world.

"A pact?" Elio had faint memories of what a pact was. He knew it was important, but he couldn't remember what it was about. It was as if he had blocked everything about it.

"Yeah, I don't know how things would work in Galar, but in Alola if you didn't make a pact within 24 hours of catching a Pokémon, that was free to find another trainer if they wanted to." Yeah, that's why it was so important.

Now that he remembered it, he couldn't use Pokémon he hadn't made a pact with in the gym challenge either. How had he forgotten something so important?

"I think humans said to the pact differently ... What was it like?" Neo continued, while Elio was still thinking about why his mind would have blocked such a detail while drinking a little water. "Ah yes, having sex."

GASP!

And as Neo started patting his back after drowning while drinking water, Elio finally remembered what the pact was about, and why his mind had blocked it.

He had to have sex with his Pokémon.

Holy shit.

Well, I hope you enjoyed this chapter. It is the first fanfic that I publish in English, and the truth is I'm very interested to see how everything will turn out.

The story is strongly inspired by the Aoshi's Moemon Adventure, a fanfic of the user Espeon of Shadows. Currently the story can be read on his DevianArt page, so I invite you to read it if you like.

Finally, I would like to thank my friend, Zarbalor25, who without his help would not have been able to translate this chapter into English, and he is also helping me with chapter 2. If you made it this far, I really appreciate it, and well, without further ado, I say goodbye. Sayonara.
