Jensen's Prov

I ran into the house, where Jensen said that Tris ran off after calling herself a shitty mom. I ran all over Dauntless before I found her at the chasm. "Tris!" I said, grabbing her arm, as she jumped in fear, falling over the railing, but she gripped it with her free hand. "Damn it. I'm right here." I whispered, as I pulled her up, and into my arms. Her heart was racing. "I'm here, honey. I'm here." I whispered, as she sobbed hysterically against me. "Hey, Shh... It's okay..." I said as I continued rocking her.

~Tris's Prov~

I don't even know how long we were sitting there, me clinging to him sobbing. But slowly my sobs became quiet hiccups. "I'm sorry..." I whispered. Eric said "Wanna talk about it?" I looked up to him. "I don't even know what happened... I was fine, till this morning... I took the test, and I don't know... maybe seeing it was positive, just scared me... You always can calm me quickly... Then after the face time... I went to the kids, because they were awake... They tried to shove me away... Clarissa even said 'NO MAMA! WANT DADA!' Once, they were settled, I felt like a shitty mom, so I just ran... Didn't have a plan. Just had to get out of there. Next thing I knew I was at the Chasm..."

"Honey..." I felt Eric's hand on my cheek caressing it lovingly. "I'm so sorry... I'm here now, Okay? I'm right here. I don't plan on leaving you again, and if I do, it won't be unless Four's here." I looked to him, as he said "How long have you been feeling like this?" I said "Maybe a few weeks..." Eric said "w..." "I didn't tell you because you were already so busy... I didn't want to add it to your plate..." Eric said "Tris, Honey. This makes me feel worse... Let's go talk to Marlene, maybe she knows what's going on, and maybe something to help?" I sniffled, pressing my face into his neck. "I just want to go home to be honest..." Eric stood holding me against him. "Okay... But Tomorrow, I want us to see Marlene. Okay?" I nodded, as he set me on my feet, so we could walk to the house. "YOU BITCH!" Chris yelled coming over to me and punching me in the face, which caused Eric to shove her back. "WHAT DID I DO?" I said, bringing my hands to my face. "JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN'T HANDEL YOUR HUSBAND BEING AWAY DOESN'T MEAN YOU CAN JUST SNAP YOUR FINGER AND HE COMES HOME AND SENDS MY FIANCE OFF! SOME OF US HAVE REAL ISSUES!" I said "JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN'T HANDLE YOUR CHILD DOESN'T MEAN YOU CAN JUST HIT ME. ERIC IS HEAD LEADER! HE NEEDS TO BE HERE TO RUN THE FACTION! HIM AND FOUR CAN'T BE GONE AT THE SAME TIME. AND JUST SO YOU KNOW, IT'S NOT MY FAULT, YOU DON'T HAVE ANYONE ELSE TO WATCH YOUR CHILD AND I WAS SO SICK, TODAY THAT DAD HAD TO RUN DAUNTLESS. SO JUST GROW THE FUCK UP, AND STOP TRYING TO ATTACK ME." Eric rubbed my shoulders.

"UNLIKE YOU, I HAVE POSTPARTUM DEPRESSION! I NEED CALEB HERE!" "YEAH WELL, I HAVE TWINS, A SEVEN YEAR OLD, AND A TEENAGER, AND I JUST ALMOST FLUNG MYSELF INTO THE DAMN CHASM. SO, YOU MIGHT WANT TO WATCH YOURSELF." I said shoving past her only for her to trip me. I fell, angling the fall away from the stomach. "THAT'S IT!" Eric said, helping me up. "Chris, it's okay to be upset, but you attacking Tris is not. She had nothing to do with this. It was my choice. So, you need to apologize, and you're on thin ice." She walked off, as Eric helped me to the house. "She'll apologize eventually..." I whispered, as he unlocked the door. "I hope so."

Caleb: Hey Tris, Everything Okay with you and Chris?

Tris: NO! She just attacked me because Eric came home, and you left.

Caleb: She does have postpartum depression, but she's been talking to someone. I think she's just being a little overly sensitive right now, especially since Eric's home with you, and I can't be there for her...

Tris: Still. It's no excuse to attack me...

Caleb: No, I definitely agree with you. She shouldn't have done that or walked off when Eric tried to talk to her. I'm going to tell her she needs to apologize to you both

Tris: I just tried to kill myself...

Caleb: WHAT!? Tris, are you okay? Where was Eric?

Tris: He wasn't home yet... He saved me... I'll be fine...

Caleb: Take it easy, okay? We'll try to solve this quickly.

Tris: thanks...

"Eric?" I asked, as he came out of the nursery. "Hey. They're asleep." He wrapped his arms around me, before Jensen came over, and joined the hug. "Hey, I'm sorry I yelled at you..." He shook his head. "No. Don't be." I gave a small smile. "I'm just glad you're Okay. I'm going to get dinner started." I said "Thanks son." Eric wrapped an arm around my waist securely, before saying "I'm actually very hungry… If I'm being honest…" Eric smiled, small as we sat on the couch.

"Hey Eric?" He looked to me gently. "Thank you. I mean I feel bad for Chris, But I can't hide the fact that I'm happy you came back." He said "It was stupid for me to go in the first place, I should've sent one of the other leaders, instead." I said "I love you, and how did you even know I needed you to come home?" He laughed lightly and said "Well, for starters, my husband senses tingled, then when you didn't answer your phone, and Jensen did… But I think the final 'nail in the coffin' so to speak was seeing you essentially curled up in a ball sobbing your heart out. It broke me." I said "I'm sorry… I was so overwhelmed." He kissed m head and said "I love you."

Jensen: Hey Uncle Uriah. I need a huge favor… Mom and dad don't have a ton of food her, so can you bring some from the café??

Uriah: Sure thing!!!! I know it's your mom's favorite, so I'll bring some for her, your dad, You and Cami.

Jensen: You're the best!

I smiled as my head rested on Eric's shoulder. "Hey, umm, you guys didn't have anything to make dinner, so I texted Uncle Uriah, to drop some off…" I said "Thanks Son. Sorry…" Jensen said "Don't apologize. It's okay. I know it's been overwhelmed the last couple days." After Uriah brought dinner, and we ate, we tucked the kids in bed before feeding the twins and changing them before going to our room. We showered and changed, which is when I curled up in Eric's arms "Sleep now, honey. Sleep. I'm here, you can sleep." He whispered as I drifted to a peaceful sleep.

In the morning I woke up to the other side of the bed cold. "Eric?" I called sitting up. "Right here." He said as he came over to me, sitting on the bed. "Morning." "Hi." He smiled. "I told Uriah and Zeke to take over the fear landscapes until further notice, and I also told Uriah to pass along to Marlene, that we'd be stopping by this morning." I nodded and said "Thanks. I appreciate it." "Of Course. Now get dressed. Jensen is taking Cami, and I'll drop off Clarissa and little Max to Dad and come back. We can grab a quick breakfast in the café, then go see Marlene." I nodded, as he left. I quickly got dressed, glancing at my reflection in the mirror. "Tris! I'm back!" Eric called causing me to run full speed to his already open arms, that instantly wrapped around me.

We went to the café, and got breakfast, before going to the infirmary. "Hey Tris! Hey Eric! Did you have an appointment?" Liza asked, she was the receptionist at the infirmary, and Four's girlfriend. "Um, technically no, but Marlene should be expecting us… We told Uriah to tell her we'd be stopping by this morning." Liza clicked a few times. "Ahh, yes here you are… Okay, Have a seat, okay? She'll be there in a minute." I nodded and sat with Eric. "Are you afraid?" Eric asked. "A little…" I confessed.

"Eric? Tris? Come on." Marlene said warmly as we followed her to her office. "So, tell me what's going on?" She said as we sat. "Tris?" Eric said gently. "Well… I noticed the last few weeks specifically, I've been feeling like really depressed and down… Yesterday... I almost hurled myself into the chasm…." Marlene said "You never said anything before now…?" I shook my head. "No, I didn't want to admit that I'm feeling weak… and insignificant…" Eric said "I'm the one that found her, last night… and when I pulled her back over, and she calmed down. That's the first time she's told me any of it…" Marlene said "Well I think that you have some postpartum depression…" I leaned on Eric, and said "What's the treatment?" Marlene said "Antidepressants, and I have to ask. Is there any chance at all that you could be pregnant?" Eric looked to me as I nodded, tears in my eyes, before running from the office.

~Eric's Prov~

"Marlene... I'm sorry..." I stated. "It's okay... Did she just find out?" I nodded. "Yeah, it's part of the reason I came home early. That and I felt bad, I left Dauntless without a head leader... Not that I doubted Tris's ability, but she wasn't prepared enough, as Four and I are..." Marlene said "Well, that makes sense... But it does make the treatment more difficult..." I said "I can help... Just tell me what needs to happen." "I think since we can't do antidepressants... Maybe she could speak to like counselor?" I said "I can see what I can do... She might be reluctant, at first. But I'll take care of it..."

Tris: Eric... I need you... BY the chasm again...

Eric: Damn Tris. I'll be there in two seconds.

I excused myself before running off, reaching the chasm, pulling Tris to the side, and to my arms, before she could think. "Get off me." She said as she fought. "Tris... Stop Fighting me..." I said, as I kept a tight grip on her. "Eric?" she whimpered as she stopped fighting and buried into me. "Hey. Shhhh… I'm here." I whispered. She clung to me tightly. "Sweetheart, let's go back to the office... I talked with Marlene, and we came up with a plan, I think might work... But I want you to keep an open mind when we discuss it." I felt her nod, before we went to the office.

~Tris's Prov~

Why couldn't I fight this feeling? I thought as Eric rocked me against his chest as we walked. Eric kept whispering he's here, to sooth me. When we reached our office, he sat in his chair and pulled me onto his lap. "Why can't I stop feeling this way?" I whispered out loud as I remained nestled into his chest. "I don't know honey. We'll figure this out..."

"So, what did Marlene suggest?" I asked. "She suggested talking to someone... Like a therapist..." Eric started. "I think it might help... I know you don't like talking about things..." Eric finished moving my hair from my face. "I'll give it a try..." Eric said "Really? No arguing?" I said "No." "Who are you and what have done with my wife?" Eric questioned. "It's still me... I just want to feel better."

Eric smiled, kissing my head. "I know someone you can talk to..." "Who?" "Joanna. From Amity." I took a deep breath. "You trust her?" "100%." Eric promised. "Then I do too." Eric grinned, and said "I'll call and see if she'd be able to come to..." I said "No I'd rather go to her..." Eric said "Alright... I'll see when she's available..." "I want you to come with me..." I whispered as Eric's lips pressed against my forehead. "You got it." I stayed on Eric's lap, as he made the call putting the phone on speaker. "Amity, Joanna speaking." Joanna's voice started. "Hey Joanna! It's Eric and Tris..." "Hey! Is everything Okay? I don't usually receive calls from you!" Eric gave a fond chuckle and said "Well we're actually calling for two reasons... One is situation report, and the second is a request..." Joanna said "Situation is actually 100% dealt with. Your soldiers are heading home!!! What's the request?" I pressed my face in his neck, as Eric said "That's wonderful!! So, this is a little sensitive... Tris has what Marlene called 'Postpartum depression'. We can't really treat it, with antidepressants..." Joanna said "so you're asking for Therapy??" Eric said "Exactly. The sooner we can the better..." "Well, why don't you both come to Amity tomorrow say by 10?" Joanna offered. I looked to Eric, who said "That actually works perfectly. Thank you! We'll see you then." We said bye, before he hung up.

"Thank you." I whispered. "For what honey?" He asked. "Not getting mad over this… and for helping me through this." I whispered. "Of course. I love you, and I love our family. There's nothing I wouldn't do for you guys." I smiled placing a kiss on his lips. The door opened as I pulled back shocked. "Hey Eric, Hey Tris." Eric smiled, holding me. "Hey Four." We greeted, as the color flushing to my cheeks. "Everything alright here?" He asked. "Yes... Everything's just... Fine..." I said trying to sound convincing. "Bull shark!!!" Caleb said as he walked past the door. I groaned. "MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS PRIOR!" I shouted, causing Eric to laugh, as Caleb entered. "What was that Prior?" he asked, causing me to stand, and walk over to him. "It's Coulter. You know that." I stated. I could hear Eric's proud chuckle. "You're my little sister. I'll call you what I want! If I want to call you a spoiled little brat I will." I heard Eric stand. "Caleb, I'm warning you..." His voice started. "It's Okay Eric, I got this." I said, turning to Caleb, who said "Hey calm down, I was teasing..." I said "Well don't let it happen again, okay? I love you, you're my brother, But I won't tolerate that kind of behavior, okay? Neither will Eric." He nodded, and said "What's really going on Tris?" I looked to Eric, who said "Four, let's give them some privacy. Lunch should be ready, why don't we go get some, and bring some back?" Four looked curious before they left. "That was odd, even for Eric." Caleb said.

Eric: Whatever you do Caleb, do NOT leave her alone.

Caleb: Okay?

"Now Tris. Tell me what's going on?" I took a deep breath. "I Have postpartum depression, okay? And I'm pregnant again... The only people who know are Marlene, and Eric as far as the baby, and Postpartum depression. But Joanna from Amity also knows about the depression, part cause Eric and I are going to talk to her tomorrow." I confessed. "Tris why didn't you tell me?" He asked. "Because, you've been so busy with Amy and Chris... I didn't think you'd need to worry about your sister on top of it..." "Are you insane? Tris, no matter what else I have going on in my life, even if Chris and Amy are sick, I'd come running if you ever needed me. That's what family does for each other." He hugged me closely. "Thank you..." "You can always talk to me if you need too." I smiled, resting my head on his chest. "I love you, Bea." "I love you, Caleb." Eric came up. "Hey Caleb. Hey beautiful. Everything Okay here?" Caleb said "Yeah, we're good now." Eric smiled and said "Go see Chris, she was struggling with Amy." Caleb ran off, before Eric set up lunch on his desk. "Come eat." I sat on his lap, as we ate. "Not that I'm complaining at all, but are you okay? You never usually curl up in my arms when we eat... Oh Wait is this a cry for help? Are you trying to tell me you need extra love tonight?" I looked at him affectionately and said "I'm not going to say no to the extra love tonight... But right now, I just want to be held by my hubby." I confessed. He said "well I'm more than happy to oblige, on both accounts." I smiled.

Max: Hey can one of you please come pick up the kids? I'm not feeling well…

I looked to Eric who said "I mean I would but I gave Four the afternoon off…. And I need to be here… But I also don't want to leave you without help…" I said "Oh Honey, it's fine. I'll go pick up the kids and go home… I can text Liza or Jensen for back up. I'll be fine." I kissed his cheek. "But you better make it up to me later." He chuckled. "Now that I can promise." I got up and went to my dads. "Dad?" I said as I knocked. I tried the code, and nothing worked. "MAMA!" I heard Cami's voice. "Sweetie, can you reach the doorknob?" I heard her reaching, before I heard the door click open, as she pulled the door back, I smiled. "Hey princess. Where's Clarissa and Max? Where's grandpa?" "Sissy and brother are in the play pen. Grandpa in the bedroom." I said "Okay, baby girl. Go stay with your sissy and brother, okay?" She nodded.

Tris: Hey Jensen, Can you come to grandpa's? I might need back up.

Jensen: Already on the way! Dad called. Everything Okay?

Tris: I'm not sure yet…

I waited for Jensen to come, and when he did I said "Go sit with the kids in the living room…" When I walked into the bedroom, I didn't expect to see this sight.
