Arthur had just finished his meeting with General LeBeau. He got a phone call about his parents and what Crittendon was going to do. He quickly tried to call them, but they did not answer. He had to hurry to the United States, so he got on a plane bound for Indiana. Once he landed at an airport there, he'd head for the outskirts of Muncie, Indiana, wanting to make sure they were alright.
However he had been wrong. He was in for a terrible surprise. Because Crittendon was free, Crittendon had a clearly bloody and sadistic plan.
November 11, 1948, Outskirts of Muncie, Indiana
Arthur looked out into the distance as he was being driven in the countryside to his house. Everything looked beautiful, the sky was pink. He sighed as he missed living in the countryside. He truly hated being a monarch. To himself, he thought of himself as another Pedro II. But Arthur was determined to get out of his role as a monarch.
"I hate being Kaiser, I really do…" He said out loud. "It does not do me any good, Wagner. Those fools forced me into power. But then again, knowing how I got you sent to the Russian Front, you'd think I'd be grateful." Arthur softly said to Wagner, with Arthur angered in his mind at Claus von Stauffenburg. Sure, Arthur felt grateful that Stauffenburg and Stauffen succeeded. But he did not ask for this. He wanted to be President of the United States, not a pathetic monarch.
Furthermore, Arthur felt he had betrayed his country's first president, George Washington, by accepting this position of imperial power. Washington, had, after all, fought to break America free from the tyrannical reign of King George III. But now, one of Arthur's enemies, Jack Williams, who was willing to commit Treason in order to escape Stalag 13, had successfully become President, even though the fact he committed Treason should have disqualified him from running.
However, Williams succeeded in getting the conviction overturned, citing, "Not enough evidence" with a lot of falsified evidence to prove it. In turn, he had effectively violated the U.S. Constitution. Arthur snapped out of his thoughts on this when Wagner finally replied to Arthur. The two had been adversaries, but as Arthur was now Kaiser, they were…erm..on the same side now.
"I know how you feel, Hogan. Speaking of which..why is the house on fire?" Arthur looked out, and his eyes widened. He got out of the car and ran inside of the house. Looking for his parents, he would run upstairs. His eyes widened at what had happened. Blood was on the floor, and there was a figure standing in the room. A man Arthur had an arrest warrant out for. He turned and looked at Arthur.
"Well Hogan, it's too late. Heh. I'm glad you failed to save them. You really need to try harder." With a rush of anger, Arthur charged at Crittendon. They both would fall out of the window, delivering blows to each other. "Crittendon, You PSYCHOPATH! You killed Kommandant Klink, his brother Wolfgang, his wife Lottie, and you POSSIBLY killed ANNELIESE! Now you killed my MOM! MY DAD! You're a monster..no wonder why they demoted you, Private." He yelled at Crittendon as the two continued to fight each other. Arthur felt a heavy uppercut from Crittendon, as he broke free and ran far into the distance, getting into an escape car and thus fleeing the scene.
Arthur had failed, once again, to get Crittendon in his grasp. The next few years were going to suck. The killings had stopped right there, at least for a time being. Arthur reported Crittendon's crimes to the police, noting to them that Crittendon also had an arrest warrant back in Germany. Furthermore, evidence revealed the complicity of Jack Williams' in Crittendon's actions. The two were working together.
But, Arthur did get good news, however; Anneliese Klink woke up…she was recovering, although heavily wounded. No one told her what had happened to her father or uncle. But she still had to rest for a while. When she was back to normal, she was told that her family was dead. Anneliese did not cry much though, because she knew that her father told her to be strong when he died one day.
Arthur adopted Anneliese as his own daughter; He knew the late Kommandant would want him to protect Anneliese; With this she became a Princess, and the heir to the throne of Germany.
February 22, 1951 - PRESIDENT WILLIAMS IMPEACHED 307-128 on 7 Articles of Impeachment
"President Jack Williams has been impeached 307-128 in the U.S. House of Representatives, on 7 articles of impeachment. This pertains to his complicity in the murders committed by wanted fugitive Rodney Crittendon, who has killed multiple people that were friends with Kaiser Arthur of Germany, most famously, among them, Kommandant Wilhelm Klink, who was Commandant of Stalag 13. It also pertains to Williams' abuse of the presidency for his own personal gain. With today's vote, Jack Williams becomes just the second U.S. President to be impeached. The first president to be impeached was Andrew Johnson, approximately 83 years ago. Unlike Johnson's impeachment, however, the proceedings of the vote were televised on all major networks, allowing Americans to see the historic vote as it happened." The reporter, Edward John Anderson, stated.
"The first count was Abuse of Power, alleging that Williams abused his power to intentionally interfere in the affairs of Kaiser Arthur of Germany. The second count was Perjury; in which Williams lied under oath to a Grand Jury, in regards to an investigation of him over his involvement with Crittendon. The third count was Obstruction of Justice, in which Jack Williams intentionally destroyed key evidence of his complicity with Crittendon with the intent of Obstructing Justice. The Fourth Count was Bribery, in which Williams attempted to bribe several people connected to the media to cover up Crittendon's crimes, both in America and Germany."
"The Fifth Count was Contempt of Congress, in which Williams attempted to obstruct the Congressional investigation into him by deliberately not showing up for the subpoena. Williams stated that he had done nothing wrong, and that General Hogan (Kaiser Arthur) deserved it for him trying to get Williams executed. The sixth count was Bribery, in which Jack Williams attempted to bribe several House Representatives to prevent his impeachment. The seventh count was Graft, in which Williams intentionally redirected funds from public projects to him for personal and private interests."
Arthur then turned his television off, after hearing this. He was relieved that Williams was facing possible removal from office. Though in the long run, he wanted justice for what was to come, for Crittendon. Arthur did not like what he had to deal with. It had been a few years by now since his parents were killed back in 1948. This was an utterly terrible loss.
Arthur/Robert Hogan realized what he must do now though. Become a tough ruler, like Hochstetter suggested he do. He was an absolute monarch at this point. Andrew Carter's business had a lot of security added due to what Crittendon did to the Kaiser's parents. Even his wife's house had security guards. Crittendon did try going after Brigadier General Kinchloe though, just recently faced an attempt on his life by a few other people, though, who all were arrested, though they denied having any connections with Rodney Crittendon when interrogated as such.
While Arthur was thinking about everything, General LeBeau entered the room. LeBeau had tears in his eyes, and looked grim. Very grim. He waited, of course, for the Kaiser to turn his attention towards him. Arthur did, and was surprised LeBeau was standing right there. Though he shouldn't have been since LeBeau was searching for Anneliese, along with several others.
"Your majesty…I have…very, very, very bad news. It's…concerning Anneliese Klink. They found her…but..she had been dead for several hours at that point…the police have made a copy of the note found on her body." LeBeau broke the news to a shocked Arthur/Robert Hogan, while handing him a copy of a note that would absolutely upset him.
Arthur would read the horrific message intended to be read by him: "Anneliese is dead, and YOU AND HILDA are NEXT, Hogan. Actually, no. Hilda is next. In fact, by the time you finish reading this..you should be hearing something go off. I'm coming for you, Hogan. And I'll make sure..you do not make it out. Yours truly, Colonel Crittendon."
And indeed, Crittendon was right. Another explosion would go off, downstairs. There he was, Crittendon, standing on top of the rubble. Arthur would tackle him, with the help of General LeBeau. "You…lost again Hogan." He laughed psychotically. Arthur was extremely angry. There were footsteps, and the police stormed the building. Arthur and General LeBeau restrained Crittendon, as they managed to get him into police custody. "Take him away, police."
The Kaiser hurried to lift the rubble off of Hilda, but..it was too late. Hilda was dead. He could not save her this time. Within weeks, Arthur tightened his strength on power. He crushed dissent and free speech. All of this being done because of Hilda's death. General Hogan, or Kaiser Arthur, was becoming the very dictator he swore to bring down. And it was the fault of Claus von Stauffenberg and Rodney Crittendon. Arthur released Hochstetter and reinstated his position as he re-established the Gestapo, but this time for finding and capturing Private Crittendon, who escaped after only an hour in police custody. Kaiser Arthur was now an absolutely powerful dictator as many began to turn against him, especially General LeBeau.
"I have taken Hochstetter's advice and re-established the Secret State Police, for one purpose: To find and capture Private Crittendon. And I will use it to crush any dissent against me and my country." These words angered the crowd. Many of them demanded Arthur's abdication. He did not comply, though, and in May of 1951, a German Civil War broke out. The Underground was formally re-established in an effort to sabotage Arthur's war effort. The very organization Arthur was a part of had now come back, this time, to bring him down.
July 4, 1951 - PRESIDENT WILLIAMS REMOVED FROM OFFICE; GOLDWATER BECOMES PRESIDENT; IMPERIAL GERMAN ARMY CONTINUES TO MAKE GAINS
President Jack Williams has been overwhelmingly convicted on all 7 articles of impeachment, 68 Senators voted to convict him on each charge, with 32 voting to acquit on those charges. With this, Jack Williams thus became the first President in United States History to be removed from office via Impeachment.
The Senate has voted to overwhelmingly disqualify Jack Williams from holding further federal office. Despite this, Williams stated he intends to run for an illegal second term. The Supreme Court has intervened and stated he'd face a conviction for Contempt of Congress if he does such a thing, and that this would result in a contingent election. With this, Barry Goldwater has been sworn in as the 35th President of the United States. He intends to pick Thomas E. Dewey as his Vice President. Dewey had lost the nomination to Williams back in 1948, to Jack Williams.
In other news, the German Civil War continues. The Republican faction is losing more and more traction as Arthur's forces, the Imperial German Army, continue to reclaim parts of Germany under initial occupation by rebellious forces. Kaiser Arthur stated that he should not have been forced into this position; He did not want to re-establish the Gestapo, but he stated that it was good measure if he wanted to capture Private Crittendon.
This is Walter Hobson, correspondent for CBS, signing off. May God help Kaiser Arthur, or..General Hogan, I prefer, in this tough time he is having with another war he is fighting to end. One that should hopefully last less time then the Second World War, which we just fought relatively recently.
Arthur sighed as he turned his television off. Suddenly, a bomb went off, knocking him against the wall, causing him to slip into unconsciousness. Though as Crittendon moved to try and kill him once and for all. However, he had been followed by General LeBeau, who threw him against the wall and pinned him there.
"What the hell do you think you're doing? Get away from Hogan!" Crittendon struggled under LeBeau's grasp. "I'm glad you no longer refer to him as Kaiser, Cockroach." Crittendon smirked. LeBeau was fine with Schultz and Klink calling him that, but…for Crittendon, it outraged him. LeBeau put his hand on Crittendon's neck.
"I should choke you to death for calling me that, Rodney Crittendon. Yes, I do not like Hogan being a monarch anymore. In fact, it was Stauffenberg's fault that he is even a monarch." LeBeau said to Crittendon, restraining him. Then, Wolfgang Hochstetter entered the house. "Crittendon, stay where you are! You are surrounded! I have surrounded this place with a squad of steel!"
Hogan managed to regain consciousness as Crittendon broke free as he tried to push past Hochstetter. Crittendon then turned to Arthur/Robert Hogan. "You..why is he out of prison? Hogan, why are the Gestapo here? You've turned into..Adolf Hitler. Now I know what you truly are. You are a Nazi yourself..and when I get free..I'll make sure your death is even more..unpleasant…"
Then, Crittendon was taken away, down to the police station. This time, Arthur was sure that he wouldn't escape. And Arthur would make sure that would remain the case. Arthur returned back to Stalag 13, going to sleep in what was Colonel Klink's former quarters. Several days later, he issued an order for the permanent closure and demolition of all Stalags, that would take effect once the German Civil War came to a final and successful conclusion.
By December of that year, Arthur had won the German Civil War. The Underground was dismantled for the second and final time. And with that, Stalags began formally closing with all of its prisoners transferred to enclosed prisons across the country. As for Crittendon, he wasn't done yet. He was planning to strike once more. This time at Arthur himself.
Wagner was listening in on Crittendon's plans. Crittendon had escaped from jail within a few hours, while awaiting trial. However…Wagner would accidentally sneeze. Crittendon heard this. Wagner would run in an attempt to get to Arthur to warn him of Crittendon's plans to kill not just Arthur, but also Andrew Carter, Peter Newkirk, Ivan Kinchloe, and Louis LeBeau.
Although he was making it pretty far, Wagner gasped as he fell down to the ground. A bullet had struck into his back. A few more then hit him as he attempted to get to Arthur. "HOCHSTETTER! HELP! HOCHSTETTER!" He yelled for Hochstetter. Crittendon approached the mortally wounded man, and laughed maniacally. "So..you thought you could betray me like that and help Kaiser Arthur, huh? I'M TRYING TO BRING TRUE PEACE around here..by eliminating Hogan..and his pathetic friends."
Wagner, gasping, would reply as best as he could. "I never had any respect for you, you filth." Wagner would then yell. "You don't KILL someone's parents, you monster! Your peace..Crittendon..your peace is a COMPLETE joke! HOCHSTETTER…HELP!" With his last yell for help from Hochstetter, Wagner gasped his last breath. Wagner had died, in a valiant attempt to inform Arthur. Hochstetter, having heard him from a distance, would find him on the ground. "Wagner?" He knelt down and put his head close to his chest. "Crittendon. This is his work. Not again." By that time, Crittendon had disappeared once more. In the meantime.
February 5, 1952, London, England, United Kingdom
Kaiser Arthur arrived in the United Kingdom that day for a state visit. Ever since his accession as King in 1944. He had made approximately 4 or 5 state visits there. A lot of British saw Kaiser Arthur as a monarch with a tragic past, due to the amount of deaths incurred in order to hurt him emotionally.
Arthur/Robert Hogan was greeted with a warm welcome by King George VI and Queen Consort Elizabeth. He had seen them three times during a couple of his state visits.
The two monarchs spent the day in conversation, discussing their countries, their shared history, and the future of Europe. Arthur had a deep respect for George, and it was clear that the two had forged a strong friendship over the years, ever since Arthur assumed the throne following the assassination of Adolf Hitler in 1944 and the overthrow of Nazi Germany, and the end of World War II in Europe and Japan.
Time passed quickly, and soon it was time for Arthur to leave. As he prepared to depart, Arthur paused and said to George, 'It is with a heavy heart that I must say goodbye. I am planning on transforming Germany into a Republic, as I never intended to be Emperor. I had wanted to be Pre. I do not know if we shall ever meet again.'
The words were indeed prophetic. Little did Arthur know that George would pass away in the early hours of February 6. Before he left that day, he saw the British flag at half-staff. He teared up, knowing what had happened at this point. The King had died. Arthur returned to Germany, feeling an immense sadness after bidding what was his last farewell to his friend one final time. He would always remember his February 5th state visit to the United Kingdom - the last time he would ever see George VI, who did all he could to help Arthur track down Crittendon.
Fast forward to a couple of months later… April 18, 1952. Arthur was pondering to himself in the now closed Stalag 13, reminiscing about the good times he had with his men. He missed the days of his underground missions, though he was glad it was all over..he was glad Adolf Hitler was gone.
Arthur looked up. Inside the gate…was Crittendon himself. Crittendon's eyes were glowing red, showing how truly corrupt and wicked he was. Indeed…this was not the ally Crittendon from World War II, but a sadistic monster who liked feeding on negative emotion. Crittendon's hands were a bit bandaged up. There even was some blood coming from his mouth.
" Rodney Crittendon…you dare show yourself in these premises…your reign of terror shall end tonight." Arthur/Robert Hogan angrily told Crittendon, their fists clenched as they looked at each other with rage.
"Hmm…we shall see..Arthur. We shall see if a patriot like me, triumphs over you, a complete tyrant. Just like him." Crittendon's voice changed a bit to that of a Nazi. And with this, the two charged at each other. The situation was finally coming to an end. Arthur felt his jaw briefly dislocate as Crittendon punched him with what seemed like superhuman strength.
"T-That is not HUMAN strength! You..are you really Rodney Crittendon? Show your TRUE FORM IF IT IS TRUE YOU AREN'T HIM! Your voice also changed a bit! Crittendon could not be that strong! I don't believe it!" Arthur demanded as he managed to push Crittendon back, beginning to believe that the real Crittendon had been murdered himself and was not actually this evil…figure.
"Hmph, very well, then, Arthur." He said as he prepared to transform.

Hey there, guys. It's me, TheSteveIrwinFan6836. I haven't updated this in a while. The reason being is that after I got a review about my story needing a Beta Reader or something, I completely lost motivation, and that's why it hasn't been updated for the past few months. But, I am determined to finish this story, Beta Reader or not. And if it's still not good? I'll consider getting one then.
Anyways, that's all I have to say. - Yours truly, TheSteveIrwinFan6836.
