"Shields holding at ninety-five percent." Three of Seven smiled. "Looking good for a phaser hit."

"Think they mean to disable us," said Devereaux. "Medical's reporting telepathic attacks. Kendra's trying to work through them, but she's apparently seein' some nasty stuff."

"That shinach…" Alex muttered. "Probably some nasty Betazoid."

"Sensors indicate five life forms," said Three, "it's a small ship. Three Ferengi, a Klingon… and one Betazoid."

"I have an idea," said Alex.

"Go ahead," said Kalvin.

"Let's target their warp engines so they can't bugger off with any hostages. Someone has to beam over and at least knock that Betazoid out. Three mentioned Ferengi, so let's capture the as many of them alive as we can. They might know something about our would-be warlord."

"Alright," said the captain. "I'll get a security detail on the other ship. But first, target their warp engines and fire phasers."

A few moments later, the enemy ship reeled as its warp engines were hit with a blast of particles.

"Captain," said the Andorian communications officer, "we're being hailed."

"On screen!"

"W-Wait!" cried the Ferengi on the other end of the transmission. "You gotta understand! We thought those guys were undercover Federation spies sent to disrupt our war effort!"

"Well, you now have a Federation starship pointed right at you," said Kalvin.

"Who's behind the plot to destroy the Federation?" said Alex, "and another thing. Call off the Betazoid. He's attacking our medical team."

"The Betazoid will continue!"

The Klingon had arrived on the bridge, having beamed into another part of the ship.

"I don't think so," said Alex, standing up.

The Klingon drew his bat'leth, and Alex smirked, running headlong into the Klingon's gut. The Klingon staggered, and Alex crouched, grappling with the now surprised Klingon and receiving a cut on his cheek for his effort.

"You will… fall… before me!" the Klingon growled.

"Wales'll… win this… if it's the… last thing we do!"

"This is… no game!"

"It's… called…". Hawke lunged forward, knocking the Klingon over, his bat'leth skidding across the deck. Alex grabbed it and held it like an axe. "Rugby!"

The Klingon drew his dagger and charged, and Alex, with a mighty swing, cut into his arm, causing his foe to roar in pain and fury. Meanwhile, the security detail has rounded up the remaining crew, unconscious Betazoid included, and informed the captain that they had some guests staying in the brig.

The Klingon, refusing to surrender, charged Hawke again, only to collapse from pain.

"Take him to Medical," Alex panted. "He might… know something. Christ, I feel like I'm in secondary school again." He grinned.

"You go too, Hawke. Get that cut seen to."

When Hawke arrived in sickbay, his cut was quickly mended. Kendra was trembling as she sat on a nearby bed.

"She's been like that through the whole thing," Heather explained as she worked on the Klingon.

Alexander walked over to Kendra, who was visibly trembling.

"I'm sorry," she was whimpering. "I'm sorry… I… I couldn't… it's my fault."

"Kendra?" He shook her shoulders gently. "Kendra!"

"You're dead… you- you're all dead because of me…"

Alex gently lifted Kendra's head, looking into her terrified eyes. "It's alright, Kendra," he said gently. He stroked her cheek and gently held her trembling hand to comfort her.

"I couldn't… you're all dead… I'm so sorry…"

Come back, Kendra… shhh… shhh, you're safe…"

"I wasn't… I wasn't… I'm sorry…"

"Shhh… Kendra…". He sat next to her, holding her close and rocking her gently. "It's me, Kendra… it's Alex… you're on the Leonidas, and you're safe."

Kendra threw her arms around Alex, pulling back and looking into his eyes. "Alex…? Oh God, it… it felt so real! I was there, and it was happening!"

"What was happening, Kendra?" He stroked her soft hair comfortingly. "What did you see?"

Kendra shook her head. "Nothing…" she whimpered. She buried her head in Alex's chest, crying uncontrollably.
