Good evening,

I hope you enjoy.

Oxford Not Brogues

Haunted

Part Two

The three girls sat on the floor around Seras' coffee table in her small living room. Every light in the flat was off, but Vixen had lit a couple of black and white candles she had bought at the Wiccan shop. In front of them on the coffee table was a classic looking ouija board, a beige board with black lettering.

"So, what do we do?" Seras asked as she glanced over at Vixen who, supposedly, used to do this all the time when she was younger.

"You lightly place your finger on the pancetta," The redhead started to give out instructions but was interrupted when Seras and Brianna suddenly started to laugh hard.

"Do you mean planchette?" Bri asked.

"That's what I said." Vixen muttered.

"No, you said pancetta." Seras corrected her.

"That's pork belly meat." Brianna added.

"Oh, pancetta sounds really good right now." The small blonde, slightly tipsy from drinking most of the night, murmured.

"I know!" Bri agreed.

"Whatever," The redhead responded with a shake of her head and a large roll of her eyes. "Anyway! You place your finger lightly on the porchetta." Vixen joked while she placed a single finger on the planchette.

"Here on the bruschetta?" Brianna also joked as she placed a finger on the planchette.

"Right!" Vixen exclaimed before noticing that Seras still wasn't touching it. "Seras, put your damn finger on the prosciutto!" Laughing, the small blonde rested a finger on the planchette as well. "Now, we talk to it. Ask it questions, and be careful of what you say. We don't want to piss it off." The redhead then took a deep breath before making an announcement. "Whatever spirits that are here or has attached itself to Seras, come forth and speak to us. You may use our energy to send us a message, but you are not allowed to enter us." The room then fell silent as they waited. Vixen and Seras stared intently at the ouija board, waiting for the slightest of movements from the planchette. Brianna, on the other hand, was anxiously looking all around. Despite the few lit candles that were with them and the glow in the dark neon paint that was still on them, the rest of the flat was so incredibly dark that it spooked Bri. She was afraid that she might see something in the darkness, but she was even more afraid of looking away from it.

"Hello?" Vixen continued. "Is there anyone there?" Seras' eyes flickered up to look at the redhead. She didn't really know what she was expecting. She supposed that a small part of her hoped that it would work and the planchette would move on its own. But she mostly thought that Vixen would have manipulated the planchette and gave false answers. But neither of those two things were happening. Feeling bored, Seras frowned. Her eyes flickered back to stare at the very still planchette.

"This thing is attached to Seras." Brianna noted as she looked back at her friends. "Maybe it will speak if someone familiar asks it questions."

"Sure, it's worth a shot." Vixen muttered with a shrug. "Go on, Seras. Ask it a question." The small blonde's frown deepened. They wanted her to ask questions to nothing? She felt foolish asking questions when she knew that there was nothing here and weren't going to receive answers from anything or anyone.

"Um…okay." Seras mumbled. "H-Hello?" The uncertain girl greeted whatever 'spirits' that were there. The girls sat there in silence for a short few seconds and waited patiently for a response. Suddenly the air around Seras became heavy and ice cold. She shivered but didn't think anything of it. Then, from over her right shoulder, the small blonde saw something from the corner of her eye. A black transparent hand with sharp talons moved slowly towards her hand. Seras jumped but then immediately froze up. But her friends didn't react at all to it, which made her question the hand's existence.

"Do you guys see that?" The small blonde asked in a whisper.

"What?" Bri asked while Seras watched the black hand land on top of her hand on the planchette. The hand felt freezing against her skin, but…that had to be her imagination, right? Her friends didn't see it, so…it couldn't be real.

"Nevermind, the darkness must be playing tricks on my eyes." Seras whispered as she stared intently at the hand on top of hers. Oddly enough, that hand brought her comfort. Such a sense of calm washed through her, easing her racing heart. Still having to be sure it's fake, Seras moved her hand under it. Her hand went right through the shadowy hand and it barely reacted to her movement. It wasn't real. The small blonde convinced herself as she placed her finger back on the planchette. Seeing the long, black fingers move, she could have sworn she felt the pressure as it's hand gently squeezed her hand. Wondering if she would see the rest of this thing her imagination conjured, Seras' eyes moved up the hand and over the arm, but it was too dark for her to see anything behind her. The darkness cut the arm off at the elbow.

"Seras?" Vixen called her for the third time.

"What?" Seras responded and she snapped her head back to look at the redhead.

"Ask it another question." She suggested.

"Right." The small blonde muttered as she looked back at the ouija board. "Is there anyone here?" Seras focused intently on the transparent hand on top of hers. Again, she felt pressure as the hand pushed down slightly, and then suddenly the planchette was moving. Seras' eyes flew open while Brianna gasped sharply.

"It's moving!" Vixen chirped happily, having such a large bright smile on her face. The planchette moved across the board to hover over the bold word 'Yes'. "It just confirmed it's presence! Ask it another question, Seras!" But the small blonde wasn't listening again. Was it really her imagination playing tricks on her? Needing to be sure, Seras used her other hand to touch the black arm that was outstretched over her shoulder. By her hand went right through it again. Just how powerful was her imagination that she saw the hand move as the planchette moved?

"Did you move the planchette?!" Seras asked as she quickly glanced back at Vixen. "Please, tell me that you're fucking with me."

"I didn't move it! I swear!" Vixen promised.

"Bri?" The small blonde asked and looked at her other friend.

"Seras, I'm just as shocked as you are." Brianna promised while she stared in horror at the ouija board. "I swear to god, Vixen, if this is you I am going to be so mad. You just about gave me a heart attack."

"It's not me!" Vixen swore again. "Keep asking it questions, Seras, before it leaves."

"Um…" The nervous blonde licked over her lips and glanced back at the planchette and ominous black hand. "Hello," Seras politely greeted the…ghost? Was it really a ghost?! The small blonde could have sworn she heard a snicker behind her before again the planchette moved on it's own.

Hello, The planchette hovered over. For some reason, seeing the ghost or whatever it was say 'hello' back brought a smile to her face.

"Does it feel…strange in here to you guys?" Brianna asked as she once again looked all around them.

"Yeah," Vixen agreed.

"Really?" Seras asked and glanced at her friends. "It's a tad bit cold, but it feels fine to me." Currently, the environment felt extremely comfortable to Seras. Has she ever been this comfortable in her flat? She couldn't recall. The air around them definitely felt different, but it was so cozy and pleasant to her. Despite the cold, the feeling was similar to being wrapped in a large, fuzzy blanket and being lulled to sleep by the sound of rain and distant thunder. It was a perfect and familiar, and she loved it.

"It feels…" Bri attempted to describe it but trailed off.

"Negative," Vixen finished for her.

"Yeah," Brianna agreed. "It didn't feel that way a minute ago."

"I don't feel that way." Seras disagreed. "Maybe it's just being in the dark that's bothering you guys?" She considered.

"No," Bri muttered. "We've been sitting in the dark for a while. This sudden feeling of unease came on strong within this last minute. I almost feel like I'm going to have an anxiety attack or something."

"Same," Vixen groaned. "And I'm feeling queasy."

"We had a lot to drink." Seras reminded them.

"Maybe we should stop." Bri murmured nervously as she moved her finger off the planchette.

"No!" The small blonde exclaimed, looking disappointed and depressed that her friends wanted to stop. "We just made contact. How about a few more questions and then we end it?"

"I don't know, Ser." Brianna replied while she stared at her friend in concern. "Maybe Rachel was right and we shouldn't be messing with this stuff."

"I agree," Vixen added. "I've done this plenty of times before, but this time…This time it's different. There's…something off with this…thing. I think we should say goodbye and close the session."

"Fine," Seras grumbled.

"Spirits and entities that are among us, you are not allowed to follow any of us home. Thank you for speaking with us, but now it's time for you to return from where you came or move on. Thank you and goodbye." The redhead spoke to whatever was around them. They waited a moment or two. Seras watched the black hand hesitate for a few seconds before it finally moved the planchette.

Goodbye, The entity gave one last message. And then the transparent hand disappeared, causing Seras' frown to deepen. That warm, cozy feeling she had felt vanished with it. However, her friends gave a sigh of relief when that negative feeling dispersed from around them.

"I think it's gone." Bri announced happily. "Let's never do that again."

"Well, I'll definitely do that again, just not with whatever is attached to Seras." Vixen joked. "That was hella scary." The redhead then glanced over at the disappointed blonde who stared longingly at the ouija board, wishing to make contact again. "Seras, I think you should contact that Medium and get cleansed. Maybe have her cleanse your flat as well. I don't want this thing affecting you." Taking her eyes off the ouija board, she looked over at her friend.

"Sure," She muttered, though she wasn't truly paying attention.

"Are you okay?" Bri asked, looking a little worried about her. Seras was quick to change her demeanor so as to not further upset her friends. Forcing a bright and cheery smile on her face, she responded.

"I'm fine!" The small blonde laughed. "That just spooked me was all." She lied. "Was that really not you, Vixen?"

"Seras, I promise you it wasn't me." The redhead swore once again.

"You know what? I'm freaked out enough and don't want to talk about this." Brianna responded as she stood up. "I'm going home, taking a long, hot bath, and then going to bed because that's normal. This shit is not normal and I'm done." Walking towards the door, Bri turned on the lights so the flat looked less scary.

"Hold on, I'll walk with you." Vixen replied as she stood up and stretched out her arms.

"I had a lot of fun with you guys tonight." Seras told them after blowing out the candles. She then stood up to walk her friends out.

"Yeah, it was a ton of fun." Bri agreed.

"I wish we could hang out more." Vixen said as she gave Seras a hug goodbye.

"Next time we're doing something simple, like pizza and a movie. No more summoning or communicating with demons." Brianna laughed and gave the small blonde a half hug.

"Text me when you get home so that I know you're safe." Seras demanded while Vixen pulled open the door.

"Bye," Bri and Vixen said simultaneously as they left Seras' flat.

"Bye," The small blonde murmured while she watched them walk down the hall. When they were out of her sight, Seras stepped back into her flat and closed the door. She slumped her shoulders and sighed deeply, feeling mentally exhausted. Her social battery has been completely depleted. She loved her friends dearly and greatly enjoyed spending time with them, but Seras wasn't much for socializing. Perhaps it was because she hardly had any friends growing up. Frowning, she knew that was the reason. Before the murder of her parents, Seras had been an extremely active child that made friends with everyone she encountered. But…after their murder, she…shut down and preferred isolating herself then spending time with others. Since then, she's been trying hard to throw herself out there more and be more positive, but it was hard. She hoped that she was doing well. Sometimes it certainly felt like she wasn't doing well at all and that discouraged and depressed her all the more.

Parched after her night of drinking, Seras got a glass of water from the kitchen. As she was sipping from the glass, she walked back into her living room. And that's when she noticed something. When using the ouija board last, the planchette had moved towards the bottom right where the word 'goodbye' was. That's where it stayed when they ended the session. But, currently, the planchette was hovering over the word 'hello'. Had the session not been closed properly? Was the entity from before back? Without thinking, Seras flitted across the living room. Setting her glass down by the board, she slowly lowered onto her knees. Did she dare do this alone? Was there really any harm in it? She felt compelled to continue talking to this mysterious entity that made her feel so tranquil and content. Could something dark really make her feel that way? There was no way!

Hesitantly, Seras placed both hands lightly on the planchette. Needing to be sure that the entity had returned, she gently pulled the planchette back towards the center. She then paused while her heart started to pound in her chest. She was so nervous to make contact with this entity again. But this nervousness wasn't a fear that made her want to run. It was a good fear, one that made her blush and ache to say something, but was far too embarrassed to.

"Hello?" Seras whispered, hoping that it would answer. Her heart jumped with excitement when the planchette moved on its own under her hand. It gravitated to the bottom left corner.

Hello, The planchette hovered over. The small blonde smiled in glee when getting an immediate response.

"I'm Seras!" The excited blonde introduced herself, though it was possible the entity already knew that since it's apparently attached and has been following her. "Who are you?" The planchette moved quickly under her hand, going to certain letters.

M-A-L-P-H-A-S

"Malphas," Seras whispered while she blinked at the board. It was an unusual name, one that she's never heard before. "Am I pronouncing that correctly?" She asked, not wishing to offend the seemingly friendly entity. The planchette moved again.

Yes,

"How old are you, Malphas?" She asked.

O-L-D, The planchette moved across the board.

"Old?" Seras snickered. "I'm guessing you don't want to tell me your age. That's fair. It was a rude question. I do apologize if this next question is rude, but I need to ask it. My friends said that you're negative and were making them queasy. Was that really you doing that to them?" She asked. The planchette flitted across the board as it spelled out a response.

U-N-C-O-N-T-R-O-L-L-A-B-L-E,

"You can't control who feels that way when you're around?" Seras asked to clarify.

Yes, The planchette moved to.

"But…why didn't I feel that way? Why do I feel so comfortable in your presence?" She asked before looking all around for this entity, but it didn't show any part of itself this time. There was a short pause, perhaps hesitation on the entity's side, before she received a response.

C-O-M-P-L-I-C-A-T-E-D,

"Complicated?" Seras whispered. What was complicated about it? Did the entity truly know but didn't know how to tell her? Or was the entity deceiving her and purposely making her feel this way so it can possess her? "Why have you attached yourself to me?" The planchette flitted across the board once again.

L-I-K-E, The entity admitted to her.

"Like? You like me?" She asked.

Yes, The planchette moved towards.

C-O-M-F-O-R-T-A-B-L-E,

"You feel comfortable around me?" Seras asked.

Yes, She received a response.

"Hmn," The small blonde hummed. "It seems we have that in common. We both feel comfortable around each other." She then pursed her lips while she considered the different questions she could ask it. "What are you?" Seras needed to know. The Medium did say that a demon attached itself to her. Was she in contact with this demon? Or was it just an ordinary ghost? Once more, the entity hesitated answering, but eventually it did.

D-E-M-O-N,

Seras held her breath when it was spelled out for her. Despite knowing what it was, she still didn't feel fear. Weren't demons supposed to be evil? Shouldn't she fear for her mortal soul? Seras was confused, wondering when the fear would kick in, but it never showed.

"Thank you for being honest with me." Seras whispered. "Please tell me, do you want my soul?" The planchette was quick to move across the board.

No, But the entity seemed like it wanted to get it's point across because it repeatedly pulled the planchette away just to go straight back to the word. No, no, no, no. It repeated several times.

"Okay, okay. I believe you." Seras responded as she tried controlling the planchette so the entity would stop panicking. "I'm not afraid. I swear. It's okay." The planchette stopped beneath her hand. "Are you here to torment me?" She asked. Calmly, the planchette moved back towards the upper right corner.

No,

"Then why are you here?" Seras asked with furrowed brows.

C-O-M-F-O-R-T-A-B-L-E, Malphas repeated.

"But you're a demon, why is it that you don't want my soul?" She asked out of curiosity.

L-I-K-E, The demon repeated for a second time. N-O H-A-R-M,

"You don't want to harm me?" Seras asked.

Yes, The planchette moved beneath her hand.

"I appreciate that." She giggled. Now, was she speaking to a male or female demon? She had to wonder. Unless…demons don't have genders? Maybe they just exist and don't identify as either? "Do demons have genders?"

I-N-T-E-R-C-H-A-N-G-E-A-B-L-E,

"Oh, so you can change your gender to whichever you want?" Seras asked.

Yes, Malphas answered, still using the planchette to communicate.

"That's cool. Is there one gender you prefer over the other?" She asked, purely fascinated by the conversation she was having with this unseen entity.

M-A-L-E, The demon spelled out.

"So, you're okay if I refer to you as 'he' or do you prefer something else?" Seras asked, wanting to be considerate of the entity's feelings.

H-E, The entity agreed. Before Seras could continue asking questions, the demon started manipulating the planchette again. N-O-T A-L-O-N-E,

"We're not alone? There's other ghosts or demons here?" Seras asked.

No, The demon responded. Confused by what the entity means, her brows furrowed together. A-L-L-Y, The demon assured her.

"The thing that's with you is an ally." She confirmed with a nod. "I trust you. If you say it's an ally, then I'll believe you. But what is it if it's not a ghost or demon?"

V-A-M-P-I-R-E, Malphas spelled out.

"Vampire?" Seras repeated in disbelief. "I know that I said I trust you, but I'm finding that very hard to believe. Unless you mean a nachzehrer? A ghostly vampire that consumes people's energy and life force?"

No, The demon disagreed. N-O-S-F-E-R-A-T-U,

"Are you saying that it's an actual bloodsucking vampire? One that walks around at night and avoids sunlight and holy items?" Seras asked.

Yes, The planchette was moved to the upper left corner.

"How is that possible?" She mumbled under her breath while she tried desperately to wrap her head around it. Were vampires real or was this demon pulling her leg?

M-E, The demon admitted.

"You?" Seras whispered as she tried piecing together what she was being told. "You…did this?" Seras asked, wondering if she guessed correctly.

Yes, He answered.

"Why?" She asked with a shrug.

D-E-A-L, Malphas spelled out for her. B-A-R-G-A-I-N,

"Bargain," She repeated softly. "So, what? He or she becomes a vampire and in return you get their soul?"

Yes, The demon replied. D-Y-I-N-G, S-A-V-E-D

"This person was dying and you saved them by making a deal?" Seras pieced together.

Yes, Malphas agreed with what she said.

"And this vampire is here right now with us?" She asked.

Yes, He responded promptly.

"Why?" She asked the demon.

L-I-K-E-S, C-O-M-F-O-R-T-A-B-L-E, The demon explained to the best of his ability.

"The vampire likes and feels comfortable around me?" Seras asked. It seems like she was attracting all the monsters. Was there something about her that they liked? Her scent? Her soul or blood? The demon assured he didn't want to harm her and she believed him with all of her heart. Surely if he was truly a threat, her instincts would kick in and she would be in a state of pure fear and panic, right? But the girl still felt incredibly calm and at ease with this entity…and vampire. She didn't feel like her life was in any danger at all.

Yes, The planchette moved under her hand as the invisible entity led it.

"What is it about me that makes you both feel comfortable?" Seras asked.

E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G, Malphas answered, filling her stomach with butterflies. Even her face heated with a blush.

"Is the vampire going to communicate through the ouija board?" She asked.

No, The planchette moved to the top right corner.

"How come?" Seras questioned.

H-E-S-I-T-A-N-T, N-E-R-V-O-U-S, Seras couldn't help but wonder if the demon was teasing the vampire about being so bashful to communicate with her. The girl's eyes then widened. Wait, the vampire was nervous talking to her? Did that mean…That thought trailed off as the blush on her cheeks darkened. Did the demon and vampire have a crush on her? Such a cute, shy smile spread across her face.

"Do I have to worry about the vampire drinking my blood?" Seras asked outright.

No, She could practically hear the demon snicker. N-O H-A-R-M

"He doesn't want to hurt me either." The small blonde whispered. Her eyes then flew open and she jumped. "Oops! Sorry! I guess I should ask what gender the vampire is!"

M-A-L-E, The demon responded.

"Out of curiosity, how old is he?" She asked nervously. She had never met a vampire before. Was this second chance at life relatively new to him? Or has he been around for a long time? The planchette flew up the board to start hovering over numbers. "5, 6, 8." Seras read out the numbers. "568?" Her eyes practically bulged out of their sockets after processing that large number. "He's five hundred and sixty-eight years old?!"

F-I-R-S-T, Malphas included some info.

"First? The first vampire?! Is that what you're telling me?!" Seras exclaimed. A question then popped in her head. "Is that how long he's been a vampire or does that number include his age when he was a human?"

L-A-T-T-E-R, The demon answered.

"How old was he when he became a vampire?" Seras asked as she cocked her head to the side, showing her curiosity towards the subject.

4, 5 The demon responded.

"45," She noted. "So…he's roughly been a vampire for…five hundred and twenty-three years." She murmured to herself.

C-O-R-R-E-C-T, The demon confirmed what she said.

"What's his name?" Seras asked with a small smile.

V-L-A-D, Malphas answered.

"Vlad," Seras whispered the name. "Am I to assume that he is Vlad Dracul? Otherwise known as Dracula, the first vampire?"

Yes, The demon moved the planchette towards that word.

"Wow." She softly exclaimed. "That's so cool." Her eyes practically sparkled with fascination and joy. "Is this the only way we can talk or…" Seras gently bit into her bottom lip before finishing that sentence. Was this smart of her? Taking a deep breath, she proceeded. "Or can you both show yourselves?" Once again the planchette went a little crazy beneath her hand as the demon tried answering as quickly as possible. When he did that, Seras got the feeling that he was anxious, maybe even worried.

C-O-N-C-E-R-N-E-D, Malphas admitted to her.

"Why would you be concerned about doing that?" Seras asked.

T-E-R-R-I-F-Y, Y-O-U

At first, she had a difficult time trying to understand what he was telling her. Until she realized that he went over the letter 'Y' twice.

"You're worried about scaring me." She whispered. "What about you would scare me? So far, I enjoy talking with you and…I feel comfortable with you around."

A-P-P-E-A-R-A-N-C-E,

"You think I will be scared by the way you look?" She asked for clarification. The planchette moved towards an answer.

Yes,

Feeling disappointed, Seras sat back on her heels. Should she be worried if he was worried? Was he frightening looking? Would the very sight of him drive her mad? The small blonde frowned. She could hardly make any promises to him that she wouldn't be scared by the sight of him. She could try not to react, but…what if he was monstrous looking? What if, when she saw him, the fear set in and she ran? Seras wanted to meet with him so badly, but she couldn't force him if he didn't want her to see him. He was clearly trying to protect her.

"Malphas," Seras whispered his name. Her heart jumped in her chest from excitement just from speaking his name. "Are we…friends?" The planchette stayed absolutely still beneath her hand, but the girl was ever so patient as she waited for an answer. Finally, after several seconds, the planchette moved.

Yes, Malphas agreed.

"Then I hope you understand that as your friend, I really hope to meet you, face to face, one day. I don't know what you look like or why you're so concerned about your appearance scaring me, but…I enjoy talking with you and…I hope we can work through this." Seras told him. She stared at the ouija board and waited for a response, but didn't immediately receive one. "When we meet, I will remember how you are making me feel right now. If…there is fear, hopefully this current feeling will overcome it. But…we'll eventually need to take a chance, Malphas." Once again, the demon didn't immediately respond. After sitting there for nearly thirty seconds without any responses, Seras wondered if he left. Just when she was about to ask if he was gone, slowly, the planchette started to move again.

W-I-L-L M-A-N-I-F-E-S-T,

Seras' eyes widened when the demon agreed to show himself.

"Seras," A deep, demonic voice breathed her name. The girl jolted before she slowly shifted her head to find a rather unusual sight. A tall, slender man with inky black leathery skin was sitting on his heels in the middle of her living room. Showing utter submission, to prove he meant no harm to her, he leaned forward to place his hands and forehead against the floor. The demon was not at all how she imagined. While he was…different and a little…monstrous looking, she hardly thought he looked scary. Was there just something wrong with her mentally? Were her instincts broken? How is it she gets fear from answering a phone or being out in public, but meeting with a demon and she doesn't feel an ounce of fear?! What was it about him that made her feel…

"Safe," Seras recognized the feeling finally. She felt completely safe with him around. For a short moment, she studied the demon. He wore a skintight, leather outfit and black leather boots that looked like it would kill any woman's feet. He had sharp black talons and silky black hair that framed his face. Seras was brave enough to move closer towards the submissive demon. She crawled past her coffee table to the middle of the living room where she sat down in front of him.

"Malphas," Seras whispered his name. Hesitantly, she reached out a hand and placed it on top of one of his. His flesh was warm and ever so soft against hers. She brushed her thumb along the back while she waited for him to look at her. "Malphas, please look at me." Doubtful if he should reveal the rest of himself to her, he kept his head lowered in shame. "Malphas, please." She begged softly. "I'm not scared. I promise. I'm even touching you. Please, look at me."

The little angel managed to persuade him. Cautiously, he raised his head to meet her gaze. Seras studied his face for a moment. Her eyes took in his dark red irises, the cracked horns on the top of his head, and the deep lines that marked his face. On each side of his cheek he had one long line that went from the corner of his mouth all the way up to his ear. What Seras didn't know was that when he was feasting upon souls, these lines helped him unhinged his jaw so he could feast easier. To his bewilderment, there was still not even a spec of fear in her eyes when looking at him. If anything, she looked mesmerized, as if he was the most beautiful creature she had ever seen in her life. When meeting his gaze, Seras was reintroduced to the feeling of arousal. Her whole body shivered and there was a tremble between her legs. It was just the same when she locked eyes with that stranger in the bar. Suddenly, she realized that Malphas felt familiar to her. He reminded her of the man from the bar. Why is that?

"Seras," Malphas whispered her name. When speaking, she caught a glimpse inside of his mouth, witnessing sharp teeth and a forked tongue. Still, no fear came and he couldn't smell it on her either. Was she truly not scared by him? Her reaction purely amazed him. She accepted him for what he was. She was made to be his mate. He was fully convinced now. The little beauty gave him a warm, friendly smile.

"It's nice to meet you in person." She greeted him, earning such a tender, endearing look from him.

"Likewise," He replied.

"Where is your shy friend?" She asked while she looked all around for him. The demon snickered at what she called him.

"Behind you," The demon spoke as he gestured his head behind her. Seras perked up in interest. Behind…her? For how long? The small blonde glanced over her shoulder to see a tall man, at least six feet tall (maybe even reaching six feet and five inches), stood several feet behind her. The second she laid eyes on him, her jaw dropped and her eyes practically bulged right out of her head. She instantly spun around on the floor to fully face the vampire. The man had gorgeous pale skin that was purely flawless, making him look beyond perfect. He had long, partially curly black hair that flowed over his shoulders. He also had a well kept mustache and beard. His blood red eyes glowed with an intensity, but were so…devilishly beautiful that it just about took her breath away.

She has never seen a man as gorgeous as him before in her entire life. Her heart thudded hard against her ribcage as her stomach felt like it was tied into a tight knot. For the first time ever, Seras felt a warm wetness gather between her legs, soaking her underwater the longer she stared at him. How was it possible for someone to be so god damn attractive? Was that just the perk of vampire genes or did he look like this as a human? The small blonde was completely unaware that her face was as red as a tomato or that she currently had a bloody nose from seeing his absolute beauty.

Upon seeing how she reacted when looking his way, Alucard grinned widely. No, this is definitely not the same as when he met Mina, who was terrified of him. Seras was different. Definitely a little morbid and unordinary, but unique in his eyes. The vampire approached the little human to kneel in front of her. Staring deep into her eyes, the marvelous human didn't so much as flinch when he drew close or looked at him.

"Why is it that I feel comfortable around you?" Seras asked in a whisper.

"Do you truly want to know?" Alucard asked softly while his lashes lowered over his eyes halfway, flashing her a suggestive look. The little human gave a small nod of her head. Unexpectedly, he leaned in the rest of the way to kiss her firmly on the lips. Seras' eyes flew open and she whined in astonishment. However, instead of pulling away, the curious girl hesitantly leaned into the kiss. Her eyes fluttered shut as she melted into the kiss, feeling as if she was becoming one with him. His whiskers tickled her, but she was so absorbed in the kiss that she hardly noticed. Unfortunately for her, Alucard pulled away, ending their first phenomenal kiss.

"Seras," The vampire breathed her name. He raised his hand to run his fingers lightly over her cheek, tracing the shape of her face. She has most definitely eased his mind and destroyed his fears. She was nothing like Mina. He happily kept reminding himself. This wasn't the same, and so far it was better. "Thank you for accepting me for what I am." He whispered to her. He then leaned back in to place soft, loving kisses across her face. "My beautiful, little mate." When hearing what he called her, Seras opened her eyes to look back at him.

"Mate?" She repeated under her breath. Did he mean that in the friendly way or…the other way? Her face darkened with a blush all over again. Considering the way he just kissed her, she could only guess that he meant it the other way. What on earth was happening?

"Seras," Malphas spoke, drawing her attention back to him. Seras shifted on the floor to turn and face the demon once again only to find that he was closer than before. That beautiful smirk was still on his face while he stared at her in such a loving way. "I know that it's a lot to take in at the moment, but I hope you feel the same still. Neither of us are pressuring you to do anything and we are quite patient creatures. So, take all the time you need and contact me whenever you like using the ouija board." The smirk grew on his face while he gingerly stroked over her cheek with his fingertips. "Now that the hard part is out of the way and you've seen most of our worst sides, I hope you can accept our other sides as well."

"What…other sides?" Seras whispered.

"You'll see," Malphas answered softly. "For now, get some rest. We'll leave you be." The demon then paused and his smirk faltered slightly. "Seras, I know that…I'm not particularly attractive to a human in this form, but…would you mind if…I kissed you…on the lips?" For the first time in their presence, fear crept into Seras' gaze, causing the demon's stomach to fall into a pit of anguish. It absolutely broke his heart that fear appeared the second he asked to kiss her in this form. Was he truly that repulsive?

"Don't move," Seras whispered. Malphas' brows furrowed together in confusion. Don't move? And then he saw her slowly start to lean in. To his absolute shock, the shy girl pressed her lips against his black ones. The demon was immediately soothed and his racing thoughts halted. No, of course not. His darling girl wasn't afraid of him. She was only shy by taking the lead and kissing him. Malphas completely lost himself in that warm, tender kiss. It thrilled and calmed him knowing how loving she was towards him; how she wasn't afraid of him even in this form. His little angel then ended their kiss, but she didn't move away. With her lips only centimeters from his, she stayed close and stared deep into his eyes.

"I don't know what's going on or why I'm feeling this way, but…I can't wait to see you again." She admitted softly. "Can you promise me that you'll both come tomorrow night?"

"Absolutely," Malphas breathed against her perfect lips. "Just use the ouija board when you're ready to see us."

"You'll most definitely see us again tomorrow." Alucard vowed. Seras gave the demon such a beautiful, innocent smile.

"Good," She whispered.
