CJ woke up to a throbbing headache and Danny's quiet snores acting as white noise. She quickly turned to face the clock on her bedside table, too quickly. CJ's stomach flipped at the movement and CJ quickly found herself sprinting to the bathroom and kneeling in front of the toilet emptying the contents of her stomach into the bowl. Once the heaving had subsided a gentle tap was heard at the door.
"Aunt CJ!" Hogan called. "Can I come in?" CJ leaned against the bath before flipping the door unlocked and pushing the handle down so the door marginally opened. Hogan pushed the door fully open stepped inside and shut it quickly behind her.
"Hey, Aunt CJ." Hogan said sliding down to sit next to her Aunt. "Are you alright?" Hogan asked smiling up at her Aunt.
"What do you think?" CJ said smiling wearily at Hogan.
"I've certainly seen you better." Hogan joked back. "Look do you want me to get Uncle Danny or Carol?" Hogan offered.
"No, I'm good, just give me a minute alone I'll be fine soon." CJ said putting her arm around Hogan to hug her. Hogan hugged CJ and as soon as her grip slackened Hogan pulled back and swiftly left the bathroom shutting the door gently behind her.
CJ pulled herself off the bathroom floor and walked into her bedroom. CJ pulled out her grey robe and pulled it on over her pyjamas before descending the stairs in search of chocolate or something else to satisfy her sweet tooth which was always enhanced by hangovers. CJ walked into the living room still half asleep as it was 5 o'clock in the morning. As she crossed the room a dark figure twitched in the couch. CJ exclaimed as the figure sat up rubbing his head.
"CJ! Relax it's just me." A voice CJ was relieved to realise was Sam's.
"My god Sam! Don't do that to a girl!" CJ exclaimed, "look what are you doing here? I thought you were in a hotel?"
"I was supposed to be but you were so drunk I had to help get you in the car then the house. Believe me it was entertaining, Danny said I could crash on the couch." Sam replied.
"Ok well I'm getting some chocolate then going back to bed. Bye Sam." CJ said grabbing a chocolate bar from kitchen worktop and slinking back upstairs as Sam lay back down. CJ shut her bedroom door behind her and threw her robe on one of the chairs before breaking off some chocolate, gently melting it in her mouth, CJ curled back up in the bed and fell back asleep.
Josh and Donna were staying in California for that night and leaving early Monday morning and so a party was happening there that night. CJ woke up to a knocking on her bedroom door and before she said anything Carol had pushed the door open.
"Hey Carol." CJ said not moving from the bed.
"Hey Claudia. Do you know what time it is?" Carol said walking to sit on the bed as CJ's eyes slid to loo at her alarm clock which showed the time to be 11:30.
"Oh shit how's it that late in the day already?" CJ said sitting up and massaging her temple.
"Here." Carol said handing CJ a vet full glass of dark red liquid.
"What's this?" CJ asked taking the glass.
"What do you think?" Carol said with a smile.
"Bonnie Plunkett's world-famous hangover cure. Non-alcoholic booze, tricks your brain!" Both women said at the same time laughing. CJ took a sip before sighing and handing Carol the glass who took a sip before handing it back to CJ.
"Thanks Carol." CJ said gulping down the rest of the wine.
"Come in up you get." Carol said helping CJ up.
"Finally, my wife makes an appearance." Danny laughed as CJ descended the stairs an hour later.
"Ha, Ha, Ha very funny fish boy." CJ grimaced as she sat next to him on the couch.
"How's the head?" Danny asked.
"Better thank you." CJ replied.
"I put your chocolate in the fridge by the way and Sam has had a hell of a fright." Danny laughed and memories of what happened this morning flooded her mind.
"Oh god." CJ both sighed laughed.
"It was quite a shock." Sam said walking out of the kitchen.
"Where's everyone else?" CJ asked looking round Sam and seeing no one else.
"Everyone is in a bedroom or next to a plug socket getting some work done." Sam explained going towards the stairs to work with Toby on a speech.
"Come on truth or dare?" Josh asked in whinging voice. Most of the members of Bartlet's administration were scattered across CJ and Danny's living room floor. Jed had been sent to bed by Abbey hours ago and the time was approaching 11pm. Abbey was on the couch with CJ and Carol. Kate sat on the floor with her head resting against the couch while Danny, Donna and Sam were sat on the opposite couch while Josh was lay on the floor, Toby was sat in an armchair as was Margaret Sophie and Hogan were absent as Sophie had been dancing with her partner all day and her and Hogan were staying overnight at his house.
"Come on Truth or Dare?" Josh whined.
"Fine." Sam sighed. "I give in. Who wants me to ask?"
"Fine I'll go." CJ said.
"CJ, truth or dare?" Sam asked smiling.
"Dare!" CJ slyly smiled.
"Wait PG or explicit." Sam asked.
"Explicit." CJ replied.
"I dare you to make out with Carol." Sam laughed.
"Well Carol? You game?" CJ smiled in a flirtatious way.
"Hey how about asking your husband if it's ok?" Danny exclaimed though secretly he kind of wanted to see it.
"Well what do you both say then. Everyone game?" CJ asked looking at her husband then Carol.
"I'm game!" Both Carol and Danny exclaimed hall the men looked exited in their own way as if all their dreams were coming true all at once and Abbey, Kate and Donna all appeared curious. CJ and Carol stood and walked to the middle of the room. The two women smiled at each other before they stepped forwards and each grabbed the back of the others head. Their lips met in a hot kiss that make all spectators gasp but just sent CJ and Carol into fits of laughter as soon as they separated.
"That's all you get Spanky." CJ said as she walked over to Danny giving him a quick kiss before going over to the couch that Carol had already sat down on.
"Ok. Someone ask me!" Abbey exclaimed.
"Miss Bartlet, truth or dare?" Josh asked.
"Truth." Abbey replied.
"Did you feel the President up during the second communication speak?" Josh asked. Abbey glanced at CJ and started laughing.
"Yes, I thought no one noticed. I mean only CJ noticed." Abbey replied turning red. Abbey saw the glance CJ threw at Josh. "You told him!" Abbey exclaimed.
"He asked! I was annoyed." CJ said back. "Come on another." CJ said grabbing the bottle of tequila taking a swig before giving it to Abbey who drank then passed it to Carol then the bottle went to Kate before it landed back on the table.
"Josh, truth or dare?" Carol asked smiling.
"Dare…no truth…wait yeah DARE!" Josh shouted the last word.
"Ok, Josh. I dare you to go down to the store and buy a few boxes of pregnancy test." Carol slowly said with a triumphant smile.
"And I'll go with you to make sure it's a clean transition." Danny said about to stand.
"No you'd lie for Josh. Toby'll go." CJ said smiling flirtatiously at Toby.
"Fine just for you Jeanie." Toby smiled pulling Josh to his feet.
"Thanks Pokey." CJ smiled as he and Josh left.
About 15 minutes later, a crash announced Josh and Toby's return.
"I did it!" Josh drunkenly slurred holding up a white plastic bag.
"Oh, let's see." Kate said holding her hand out for the bag as Josh and Toby regained their seats. Kate peered inside the bag before looking up and saying "ok someone do me."
"Kate, truth or dare?" Margaret asked.
"Dare." Kate responded.
"I dare you to…" Margaret went quiet before leaning down to whisper in Kate's ear. "Got it?"
"Ok let's do it. Any mean possible?" Kate asked. Margaret nodded in response both of them wearing identical conspiring smiles.
"What's the dare?" CJ asked Kate. Kate looked at Margaret who nodded her approval before whispering in CJ's ear the dare. CJ burst into laughter and whispered to Carol the dare. Margaret told Donna while Carol passed it along to Abbey. All six women sat laughing before Carol whispered something to Kate who smiled deviously.
"CJ, truth or dare?" Kate asked.
"Wait aren't you going to do your dare?" Sam asked looking confused.
"I am." Kate replied, "CJ truth or dare?" Kate repeated. CJ watched as Carol walked over to a draw and pulled out CJ's old mixtape that she'd owned as long as Carol had known her. Carol put the mixtape in the player and waited for CJ's answer.
"Dare," CJ replied understanding what was going to be asked of her.
"Do The Jackal." Kate smiled as CJ stood to applause taking a swig of tequila as Carol pressed play. CJ became engulfed in the music and started lip syncing and swaying her hips to the rhythm. Her mouth curled up into a smile as she saw the men subtly adjusting themselves. Kate smiled triumphantly as Margaret elbowed her. As the song ended CJ gave a small bow grabbing the tequila bottle and taking a swig before sitting down.
"Sam I got one for you!" CJ squealed. "Truth or dare?"
"Dare I guess." Sam replied uncertainly.
"I dare you to text you ex-fiancé telling her about Ainsley." CJ laughed.
"No way!" Sam exclaimed. "I'd rather make out with Josh instead."
"Ok." CJ said as Sam stood up.
"Fine." Sam said grabbing Josh and kissing him quickly to the smiles of everyone.
"Now you!" Sam said. "I dare you to take one of those pregnancy tests Josh brought."
"How would that serve any purpose. You know I can't be pregnant I'm drinking!" CJ protested.
"So what do you have to hide then." Sam smiled.
"Fine!" CJ exclaimed. Grabbing the bag. "Abbey, Carol you come do these lot don't think I've faked peeing on a stick." CJ said haughtily walking towards her bedroom followed by Abbey and Carol.
CJ walked towards her nightstand as soon as she entered the room. Carol and Abbey shut the door behind them.
"What is it?" Abbey asked. CJ pulled out a pregnancy test from the draw she was looking in. Carol and Abbey drew closer to look at the stick that showed the symbol for positive.
"Oh my god. Why are you drinking then?" Carol asked.
"Because I only found out this morning, I figured one more day couldn't hurt. Listen there's no time one of you needs to take the test I can't I haven't even been to my OB/GYN I was going to go tomorrow." CJ explained looking ashamed.
"Look, Honey it's ok I'll take a test and we'll say it's yours just don't look so ashamed or upset it will be fine. Ok?" Abbey said picking up the bag with the tests in. A few seconds later Abbey walked out holding the test.
"It's been a while since I've done one of those. Right let's go downstairs and show them your negative test." Abbey said pulling CJ in for a hug. While walking down the stairs Carol slung her arm across CJ's shoulder.
"See not pregnant." CJ said indignantly handing the test to Sam who promptly handed it to Josh instead who exclaimed.
"Hey, I don't want to touch that, you've peed on it." Josh said glaring at Sam.
"And with that we should call it a night." Danny said standing and beginning to usher everyone but Sam (who was sleeping on the couch) out of the room.
