Hey everybody, so I am here with a new chapter for you all!

Originally this was going to be one big chapter, but there is just a lot of stuff going on at the moment and I'm just trying to take my time and everything else. So the next chapter will be the Battle of 1,000 Heartless.

Also, I apologize for any delay in the updating, I just started a new job and had to complete a lot of onboarding stuff in order to get started...so yea, that was fun.

So I hope you all enjoy this as we reach one big roller coaster of emotions in this chapter.

Ansem's Study

It was very quiet in the study for a while now. For what they had all just seen right now was now in their heads and many, many things were going on in their heads and a majority of them were questions.

"I just…" Ruby said. "I don't even know what to say right now." She said as the others looked at her with looks of solemness.

"Ruby?" Sora asked with concern, but Ruby didn't pay him any attention, as she then looked at Jaune, who was looking down.

Jaune then walked over to a wall and took a deep breath. "Ozpin…" He muttered as his left hand then clenched into a fist and then…

BAM

Jaune delivered a hard punch right in the wall, leaving a big dent in it and shaking the entire area, everybody looked at him with faces mixed with concern and fright.

"Jaune!" Ruby said, but she reeled back when Jaune looked at her, hsi face full of fury.

"HE LIED TO US!" He shouted. "That bastard lied to us all!" He said as his whole body shook with fury and rage.

Ruby shook her head. "Jaune, just listen-"

"To what?" He asked. "Listen to the fact that we all got dragged into basically a shadow war? A war none of us asked to be part of? A war that is unwinnable because a witch is immortal?!" He asked with anger as he rubbed his hands through his hair, breathing heavily. "Just how?" He asked as he shook.

"Jaune, please calm down," Sora said to him. "I don't fully understand about what happened, but you can't be freaking out-"

"Shut up!" Jaune snapped at him. "I lost my best friend! My partner! The one girl who believed in me! All because of him!" He snarled as he walked in place, breathing heavily. Sora was a bit shocked by seeing the nager side of Jaune. Sure he saw this for a moment back in the Underworld, but this was a whole new level of anger.

"Jaune…" Mickey said to him.

Jaun breathed hard again. "Just how?" He asked as he looked at them all. "How do we win this? Salem being immortal? How do we win? How do we beat her?" He asked, he then clenched his fists and walked to the door "Don't follow me!" He exclaimed as he opened the door and walked out and slammed the door shut behind him, shaking the area again. Everyone in the room was shocked by this, with Stitch even hiding behind Ruby's leg in fright.

"Jaune…" Sora said with worry in his voice, everyone in the room shared his concerns, but no one seemed more concerned than Ruby.

"I gotta go after him." She said, but she was stopped by Leon, who shook his head. "Leon, let me go."

"Ruby, just give him time to calm down." Leon said to her. "There's no use talking if he is like this." He said. Ruby wanted to argue with him, but he did have a point. Ruby sighed and looked down. "What about you? What do you make of this?" He asked.

Ruby looked at him and then down. "I…feel conflicted." She said, "I mean of course, I am mad at Ozpin for not telling us about this. But I can't stand to hate him…he lost so much already, having lost his daughters, going through this…vicious cycle for god knows how many millennia." She sighed as she took a seat. "I don't even know anymore." She said as she rubbed her head.

"And now after hearing about this Salem, and her being immortal…how do we even beat her?" She asked, and that was a very good question indeed…how does one defeat an immortal?

Outside, Jaune walked over to the balcony and put his hands over the railing, and gave a deep breath as he tried to calm down. Everything in that memory came crashing like a bomb onto him. "Pyrrha." He thought with sadness as tears began to pour down his eyes. He also remembered how Pyrrha told him about Ozpin asking Pyrrha to take part in something called the Maiden project and his anger came back.

"Ozpin, you bastard…" He growled as his fists clenched really tight, as dark mist began to radiate off of him. How much more can he handle this? His team was somewhere, hopefully not dead, and now he is dealing with the fact that he, his team, Ruby, and her team are dragged into a war that is not winnable, not if their main enemy is immortal.

"Jaune," The familiar voice of Merlin said as the old magician poofed right behind him. Upon seeing the dark mist, Merlin looked concerned and worried. "Oh no…" He thought. "Jaune, listen." Merlin said, hoping to calm the knight down. "I understand how you-"

"No! I don't want to hear it!" Jaune snapped at the old wizard. "You have no idea how I feel!" He said with anger. "I lost my best friend, my partner..the one girl who believed in me….all because of him!" He said in anger. Merlin looked at the boy with a sympathetic look, Jaune then sighed and looked down. "Pyrrha…she was so nice to me…and now she is gone." He then slunk to his knees. "And now we find out that this Salem is immortal...just how the hell can we stop her if she can not die?" He asked. He then got up. "And now all of Remnant is basically on a time bomb here, if the gods come back then all of us will be dead...how the hell can we bring peace to Remnant if Salem and the discrimination against the Faunus still linger?" He asked.

Merlin looked at him with a solemn look. "I…I don't know." He said he was worried about this whole thing himself.

Jaune sighed. "Merlin, I'm sorry…I shouldn't have taken it out on you." He said as he turned back around to glance out at the castle. "I just…I just don't even know anymore." He said as he looked down.

Merlin walked right up to the boy and patted his shoulder. "I understand lad." He said.

BOOM

Then all of a sudden something went boom and the two felt it, alarming them. "Did you feel that?" Merlin asked.

"Yea!" Jaune said as he then glanced into the distance, to see smoke coming from nearby, and he got alarmed. "Merlin, go alert the others!" He said as the wizard poofed out of there. When he did, Jaune looked out over the horizon to see the smoke. What was that and what was going on?

POOF

With a poof, Merlin and everyone else were outside. "Jaune, what's wrong?" Sora asked. Jaune pointed to the large smoke and everyone followed his eyes. Leon and Cloud got out their blades.

"We gotta get back to town." Leon said. "Everyone hurry!" He exclaimed as everyone began to follow him. As they ran, Ruby turned to Jaune.

"Jaune…about-"

"No time, we just need to make sure everyone is safe." Jaune said as he ran with the others. Of course, he was still mad about the revelations he had learned of. But he knew that now was not the time to dwell on it, now they had to worry about other issues.

As they all ran, Sora and his party were soon stopped by many Heartless and Nobodies with Leon, Mickey, and the others going ahead. The Travelers of Light glared at the monsters and got ready to fight.

"Get lost!" Sora exclaimed as he ran and hit a Soldier Heartless's head right off, he then dodged an attack from a Dusk and fired a fireball at it, burning it alive. Then he narrowly dodged an attack from a Shadow and he plunged his keyblade in the stomach, killing it.

Donald was surrounded by a group of Nobody he had never seen before. These Nobodies looked rather feminine than the others, with their attires consisting of pink bell-bottom pants with the Nobody symbol on their left pant leg, and on their heads were pink beanie-like hats that covered their eyes…or at least where their eyes would be at, and the beanies were shown to have long, pink, braid-like growth sprouting from under the caps that were tied in a white braid.

On their feet were dark, heeled boots with toes that were pointed up at the right angles, and brown bracelets on their wrists that had one small spike on them. They also wore dark armor that resembled the top of the Nobody symbol. These types of Nobodies are called the Dancers.

Donald glared and got his staff ready. "Alright ladies, you want to dance?" He asked with a smirk, but then one of them grabbed him by his wing and attacked, but it mostly consisted of dragging him around and then unleashing a spinning kick that caused him to go flying into the wall in a crash.

"Ow…" Donald moaned as he then fell back into unconsciousness. Ruy saw this and glared at them as she twirled her scythe around and attempted to hit them. And since these were dancer types, many times Ruby tried to slash them, the Dancers would gracefully dodge out of the way, almost as if they were sharing one big dance.

Goofy and Max blocked an attack from Creepers, who turned into lances and was trying to push down, hoping it would crush the two dog knights, but the two of them were not about to let themselves be stopped that easily and they both pushed the Creepers off and bashed them both together with their shields.

"Nice work Maxie!"

"Thanks, Dad!" Max said with a grin as the father and son duo both fought together some more.

Oswald dodged an attack from a Dusk as he then felt himself being hit on the back and went sliding forward, when he got up he turned to see what had hit him. It was a large Heartless that resembled a big ball, with a small black spherical head with two, beady yellow eyes, and a conical violet helmet that had an angular antenna attached to the tip. The entire body was covered in a spherical suit of armor that had eight conical, black spikes on them that were spaced evenly. The entire armor was shown to be colored in shades of violet, cyan, and some yellow decorations on it. It had thin arms that were out of the circular openings on each side of its body, the end of the arms had two large spears that were covered in pikes. And there were two Heartless emblems on it, one on the front and one on the back that were placed in the middle of a blue ring with a black background. This is called the Morning Star, an Emblem Heartless.

Oswald glared at the Morning Star as he got his keyblade up in define, and then the Morning Star retracted its arms into its body and began to jump and bounce all over the area, like a ball. Oswwlad dodged out of the way many times before he could be hit, but as he was dodging he got an idea.

"Maybe I can block, pick that thing up and slam it on the ground." He thought with a smile. "Kill two Heartless with just one stone…well one ball at least." He said as after the last dodge, he stood where he stood. Then as the Morning Star jumped and tried to bounce on him, Oswald blocked the attack with his keyblade, and the big Heartless bounded off of it. "Now is my chance!" He then jumped up, grabbed the Heartless, and slammed it into the ground, the shock caused many other Heartless and nobodies to get hurt and fly away, crashing into the wall with big force.

Ortensia was now against the wall, surrounded by many Samurai Nobodies. She glared at all of them as her staff was gripped tightly in her hands, what sort of spell was he going to use thai time around? Ortensia then gave a deep breath as her staff gave off a green aura and slammed it into the ground. "Earthquake!" she said as the ground beneath her shook with ferocity, and she then snapped her left finger. "Quaking Rocks!"

BAM

Many rocks then sprouted out of the ground and hit all of the Samurai Nobodies in their faces, causing them all to go backward and land on the ground, pending on the ground with a loud thudding noise.

Jaune ran towards a few Heartless and Nobodies as he transferred his Aura into the blade, causing it to be coated with Aura and he then took a mighty side swing. "Aura Slash!" He exclaimed as the slash then destroyed the Heartless and nobodies around him. As he looked around he had a thought. "Heartless and Nobodies fighting alongside each other? What's going on here?" He asked.

Sun swiftly dodged the attack from Dusks as he used his gunchucks to hit and shoot them all. The Dancers themselves were dodging the attacks by using graceful dance moves, and since Sun Was pretty athletic, he dodged many of their attacks and got hit with a mighty kick. But he grinned and put his gunchucks together. "Alright, let's see how you like the taste of my Gun Barrage!" He said as his tail grabbed the gun and he got on his hands and did a little dance twirl with his fingers, with his tail firing off the gun and firing many bullets, hitting the Dancer and many other Heartless surrounding him.

Stitch bit into the arm of a Shining Star as he used to smash many new nemesis that came along the way, and he was just having the time of his life. "Ha ha ha ha ha!" He laughed as the Heartless and nobodies were trying to get away from the insane alien, but he still got them all.

Sora was watching with a slight cringe. "Yep…he likes this a bit too much…" He sweatdropped.

After that, all the enemies surrounding them were defeated with ease, and many of them had to catch their breaths. "Guys, here.'' Sora said as he gave them all a bunch of ethers, which after they drank them all, helped them boost their strength back up once again.

"Ok," Donald said. "Now correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't the Heartless and Nobodies be fighting each other or something?" He asked. "So why are they working together against us?" He asked..and that was a very good question for them all.

"Hey!" They all turned to see Leon at a distance. "The King is in the Baily, you better get over there!" He said. "It appears most of the Heartless are going t o the Great Maw." He said

"What about you?" Ruby asked with worry.

"Me and the others are going back to the main town to protect the citizens, you all just get to the Great Maw." He said as he turned to run off. The others looked at each other and nodded, they knew exactly what they needed to do.

Bailey

As the group got to the bailey, they were in for quite a shock, because the bailey was partially destroyed, with large chunks of rock turned into rubble leaving a big hole to where part of the wall was once part of the wall.

"Well guys," Sora said to them. "You heard Leon, we got to head to-"

"Hold on fellas!" They all looked up to see Mickey jump in front of them all with his arms stretched out "You all have to find your friends!" He said to them,

This brought the group to a bit of a shock, was Mickey telling them to leave? But why? Of course, they all wanted to find their friends..Sora, Ruby, Jaune, and Sun especially, but they also wanted to stay and help out in the fight.

"But," Sora said. "We promised Leon!"

Mickey shook his head. "There's more than enough help here, we'll handle this fight!" He insisted.

Sora and the others still looked surprised and shocked. "but…Leon.." Sora said.

Jaune looked at him as was a bit conflicted. Of course, he wanted to leave as well to go find his team, social after discovering Ozpin's secrets…but he didn't want to leave Hollow Bastion either just yet, not till they dealt with the Heartless and Nobodies here first.

"Donald, Goofy, Oswald," Mickey said to them. "Get Sora and the others and get going!" He ordered.

Oswald glared at him. "Who does he think he is? Ordering me around…" He thought heatedly.

Sora really wanted to find Riku and Kairi, but he also wanted to help out Leon and the others. If they were going to defeat the foe, then he wanted to stay and help fight them off as well. Sora took a deep sigh. "Riku, Kairi, just give me a little more time, alright?" He asked.

The others looked at him and felt conflicted as well. They didn't want to defy Mickey, who was not only a king but a keyblade master as well...but they understood just how important this was to Sora, and they didn't want to force him out of something he wanted to do.

Donald and goofy both nodded and looked towards their king. "Alright, your Majesty!" Donald said.

"Yep! We'll go search for Riku, Kairi, Ruby, Jaune, and Sun's friends!" He said.

Mickey nodded his head. "Right, be careful and watch for danger." He said as he scanned over the landscape.

"You be careful too!" Donald said. He then felt a tug and turned to see Stitch glaring at him, but the duck ignored him and stared at Sora.

"Guys!" He exclaimed.

Donald crossed his arms. "Sora, you need to listen to the king!"

"He's right!" Goofy said. "You're coming with us, whether you want to or not." He said.

Max turned to his father with a frown. "But Da- '' but he stopped when Goofy looked over and winked at him, and the young teen knight gave a small 'oh' and he smiled. "I see." He said with a smile.

Donald looked at Sora again. "Sora, you have to be good." He said with a wink.

That was when Sora understood what they were trying to do, they were going to stay as well. They didn't want to disobey King Mickey…but they wanted to help out Leon as well.

Jaune looked at them and down. He wanted to help too but he really wanted to find his team…tell them about what he had learned about Ozpin and Salem…he then felt a hand grab his own and he turned to Ruby, who looked at him with a look of determination and sternness, basically telling him that they had to satya and help. Sun put his hand on Jaune's shoulder and nodded his head as if he were agreeing with her

"Well then, skedaddle!" Goofy said as Sora smiled and nodded.

And what did Sora do? He immediately ran right past Mickey, with the others following a pursuit and they all jumped down the rubble, taking the mouse king by surprise.

"Guys!" Mickey exclaimed. "What are you-"

"Sorry, your majesty!" Sora said to him as they all turned to run off.

"I hope you can forgive us!" goofy said.

Finally, Oswald turns back to face him. "You might be my brother and a master, but I don't take orders from you." He said with a cheeky grin as he jumped to join the rest of his team.

Mickey looked to see them go and despite his facepalming, a part of him couldn't help but give a small smile at them. They really did want to help after all.

Great Maw Entrance

After the group jumped down, they headed towards the Great Maw to take down the large hoard, but then they were interrupted by a familiar sound of a dark corridor opening up in front of them all, who came out of it?

"Hey now!" Demyx, the one who gave them trouble in the Underworld, was shocked to see them. Was he expecting to show up to them? Not really, but he just gave them all a smile. "Hey now, you're all looking lively. Way better than the last time I saw you." He said.

Jaune's grip on his sword clenched a bit at seeing him. But he took a deep breath, as much as he wanted to find his friends…now was not the time to do so. "Get out of our way!" He said to him, Ruby and Sun were shocked at first, but then they knew the situation at hand and knew that it would be a waste of time to take the guy on.

"You were the one we caught screwing around in the Underworld!" Sora exclaimed to him in anger. "How do you end up in the organization in the first place?" He asked. The other looked at him and back at Demyx and Sora smirked. "I bet you can't even fight!" He snarked.

"Sora, what the hell are you doing?" the Travelers of Light thought in unison, what was he thinking? And why was he asking this? He is just provoking the guy to attack!

Demyx glared at him though. "You should never judge someone by appearance." He said. And as much as they didn't want to admit it, he was right. You could try to poke and period, but it's always the ones who seem the most helpless and turn out to be the most dangerous.

Jaune glared hard at him if he wanted to move, then he was going to be personal. "Where're our friends?" He asked as his grip tightened on his sword. "Where's your stronghold?" His anger was starting to build up once again. After what they had learned, Jaune was now furious. "TELL ME!" He hoisted, and this prompted the entire group to look at him with concern on their faces.

Demyx looked at him, and if one could look he had a look of concern and fear on his face. "Should I tell-" He thought, but then stopped and sighed, there was no getting out of this, and as such... He adopted a smirk as he raised his hand in the air summoned his guitar-shaped weapon and grinned.

"You want me to tell you? You better beat me then." He said with a smirk. Everyone then got out their weapons and were prepared to fight him.

Ansem's Study/Computer Room

Back at the study, a figure in a black coat was seen walking through the library and into the computer room. As he got to the computer, he typed in some keys and images began to spring up. "Hmm," he said as he then typed in a few more keys and got some other stuff he wanted from here too.

The man chuckled. "Your attempts to hide your secrets proved in vain, Ozma." He said.

Ok..so I know I said that this was going to go into the battle, and I was going to do it, but it would be way too long so I figured to cut the battle in half and so next time when Demys is defeated, then we are going to get to the battle.

Sorry for the late update everyone, I just got settled to a new job and had to finish a lot of onboarding shit for it…jobs, right?
