The creature jumped towards the two, ready to rip them apart, the two managed to dodge it.
"Oh, hi, Wolf la-"
"We have no time for politeness! RUN!" the Doctor took Jack's hand and ran away,
Heather without a flinch started chasing them, determined to feast on them.
"W-What's going on?!" Jack panicked, "She wasn't like this before! She was very kind!"
"She probably is, but for now she wants to have dinner with our flesh! And I rather not, I'm rather salty." the Doctor said, "Over there! Let's hide in that dark room!"
The two quickly entered the dark room and hid behind boxes.
Heather sniffed the area, looking for her two prey.
"Don't move." the Doctor whispered, "When I give you the signal, you run and return to the village."
"But…What about you?" Jack asked.
"Don't worry about me, I'll be fine. Just do what I said, ok?"
The child nervously nodded, the Doctor took a deep breath and without getting noticed, he left the box and went behind the former human.
"Hey, you big bad wolf!" He mockingly said, "Come and get me!"
The Hellhound roared as she started chasing the boy, while Jack ran away to the other side.
Luckily, the Doctor, despite his stature, was still fast enough to not get caught by the ripped demonic canine.
"Think, Doctor, think! I have to capture her and try to calm her down, but how? I have to think fast, she's gaining ground…"
After that, he entered a room and locked the door with anything he could find.
"Great, now I'm locked in here." the Doctor said, as the Hellhound tried to break down the door.
He quickly looked around the room, it was quite dusty, full of shelves with blankets, pillows, swords and food.
"This must be the warehouse." he grinned, "A perfect place to set a trap.
In the few minutes he had, the Doctor made a simple trap with the blanket and the rope, it would be enough to gain more time.
The Hellhound finally broke down the door and fell into a trap like a schmuck.
The Doctor went towards her. "I don't know if you still have your mind, but, I just want to talk with you. Let's start from the beginning: Hello, I'm the Doctor."
The Hellhound stopped resisting, she seems to understand the Time Lord and is trying to listen.
The Doctor softly smiled, "Good, you can still understand me. I heard about what happened to you, Heather, you were 16 back then…You must have been utterly frightened, being kidnapped in the middle of the night and getting transformed into…That. Even though you don't look bad, you seem very fluffy."
The Hellhound remained silent for a while, until the Doctor heard her deep, yet fragile and feminine voice.
"Was that my name, "Heather"?"
"Huh?" the Doctor tilted his head, "You…Don't remember?"
"Not much, I only know that I was a human once. I don't remember my house, my family…I don't even remember my name, my memories are all fuzzy…" the Hellhound ripped the bag. She looked so…Tired.
"Have you regained your sanity?" He asked.
"I…I think so. Sometimes it happens I regain control, but I feel so fuzzy everytime, as if I was drunk."
"Fascinating…It must have been the ritual for that goddess, Lustaht."
"I suppose so, whoever the hell is Lustaht."
The two chuckled.
"So, Heath-"
"Don't call me that. Heather was a human girl, and I'm not sure if I can be considered one anymore…"
The Doctor gave her a reassuring smile, as he held her paw. "How about a nickname then? You'll be like me, nobody knows my name either!"
The Hellhound smirked, "...That could work. How about you choose it then, kid? You seem smart." he ruffled the Doctor's hair.
"Alright! Hmm…How about Majora? It sounds cool!"
"Majora…" The Hellhound repeated, her tail started wagging "I like that."
"Splendid! Say, you live here, isolated by the others, right, without any chance to meet your family again, right?"
"Well, yes…" The Hellhound, now named "Majora", said with a saddened tone. "Why do you ask?"
"How about you come with me! I'm a wanderer, we can be wanderers together! I can show wonders across Time and Space-"
"I hear something here!" another voice suddenly spoke.
"That monster must be somewhere with that child! I hope we're not too late!"
"It's the policemen!" the Doctor said.
"They don't seem to have nice intentions…" Majora said.
"Are there any exits here? You have been live here for 6 years, didn't you?"
"Yes, there is." Majora said, as she got down on all fours. "Pile in! I have a plan!"
The Doctor climbed on her back, Majora started running very fast towards the policemen, enough to run away from them and leave the catacomb.
"Over there!" the Doctor pointed at the TARDIS, "We'll be safe if we go there! Keep going, Majora!"
Majora changed directions and headed towards the TARDIS.
The Doctor jumped away and went to open the door.
"Quick! Come inside!" he said.
"Are you…Sure we can fit in there?" Majora asked.
"Yeah, don't worry, now ENTER!"
Majora obliged, and the two enter the TARDIS, which quickly dematerialise, making a wheezing, groaning noise.
"Phew, we're safe…" the Doctor said, tired.
Majora ignored the boy, as she was stunned by the TARDIS interior.
"It's…It's bigger on the inside…"
"That's right! Welcome to the TARDIS, Time And Relative Dimension In Space, it can anywhere and anywhen you like!" the Doctor happily said, "So, where do you wanna go?
"Hmm…Somewhere that is fun, for sure." Majora smirked.
The Doctor grinned, "That's the spirit!" He pulled down the lever, and the two went for brand new adventures across Time and Space.
